Since Shavuot began, the situation in the north has become increasingly dangerous. 

On Tuesday night, as Israelis gathered to celebrate, Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets at Kiryat Shmona

In response, an IDF strike killed Taleb Sami Abdullah – the commander of the Shavuot attack and the highest-ranking Hezbollah commander eliminated so far in the war. Abdullah commanded Hezbollah’s Nasr unit, one of three regional divisions in south Lebanon, considered to be the terror group’s first line of attack against Israel and responsible for many of the attacks on northern Israel over the past eight months.

And just yesterday, Hezbollah fired 215 rockets and additional missiles and drones at northern Israel, sparking fires throughout northern Israel — the Iranian-backed group’s largest attack against Israel since its near-daily attacks began on October 7.

Some 25 firefighting teams and eight planes are still working to extinguish the fires, and Hezbollah has continued to launch rockets into Israel throughout the day today.

Today, the IDF wrapped up a two-week drill simulating fighting in Lebanon, including maneuvering in complex mountainous terrain, logistical support and communications in enemy territory, extracting wounded troops, and the operations of the brigades’ headquarters.

Hezbollah is dangerously and deliberately bringing war to Israel and Lebanon. Hezbollah is entirely responsible for what may come next.
