Our daughter, Amy, and her husband, Steve, are visiting at their favorite vacation spot, Palmetto Bluff. We drove over for the day and finally met the new pet addition to the family - Monkey is her name. She is 6 lbs of fluff with beautiful big brown eyes that take up more than half her face. She is very loving but very strong willed. Later in the coming week we will meet our third great granddaughter when Kevin and Andy come for a brief visit and we revisit Palmetto Bluff..
On Saturday we will also watch Alabama play and beat LSU.

The same issue I posed in my previous memo:
Dear Patriot,
The 2020 election has been like no other, chocked-full of controversy and drama at every turn. And now that the votes are in, there is even more controversy in how they were counted and when, with some states still, days later, nowhere closer to knowing who gets the electoral votes.
Should this happen again in the future, many have suggested we go another route, say allowing the Supreme Court to make the ultimate decision.
We want to know what you think about that idea .
Should the Supreme Court be allowed to decide who our next President will be?
Let us know by taking our national poll today .

Personal comments (C) and predictions (P.)
C) Update on Putin:
Putin, 68, is allegedly planning to step down next year amid health concerns that he is suffering from Parkinson’s disease. Putin has been the Russian president off and on for the last two decades ... Read More Here
P) McConnell has an ace up his sleeve regarding how to retain the Senate should Ga. not return both Republicans. Sen. Manchin is at risk and might well be amenable to switching to the Republican side. McConnell would have to offer him a chairmanship but could re-arrange some current holders to accomplish this feat and nothing would please McConnell more than to snooker Schumer.
C/P) Stacey Abrams continues to believe she should have become Georgia's Governor and is largely responsible for the shift in Georgia going blue . She has been the conduit for all the money flooding into Georgia from California technology billionaires and Soros and her connections with Holder who wanted to defeat Trump and break up the Republican's hold on Georgia. However, California Technology Billionaires are also interested in seeing their companies are not broken up and thus, believe a Republican Senate might be more inclined to leave them alone. Soros , on the other hand, favors America becoming socialist and is prepared to pour money into the Georgia run off election.
Remember Abrams said she lost because of fraud and refused to acknowledge her defeat.
P) Southern elections are famous for "walk around" money dispensed largely through churches but I believe the impact of this money will be neutered and Georgia will hold onto both Senate seats. Time will tell.
P) Trump's lawyers might be able to convince SCOTUS there are sufficient irregularities and SCOTUS might agree to investigate and rule which might result in several more state re-counts.
I will address this below.
There are at least 21,000 dead people on the state of Pennsylvania’s voter rolls, according to an amended lawsuit filed on Thursday. | |

And wish begets the thought:
When I read the Wall St. Journal online, I like to read the comments posted by readers. Here is one that summed up how I’m feeling very well.
75 million Americans just rewarded four years of churlish, malevolent, orchestrated resistance toward a sitting President by voting for the Democrat candidate for the presidency.
They voted against a winning foreign policy, against prosperity, against constitutionality, and against preservation of the rule of law. They voted for a return to failed foreign engagement, for bigger government, for additional government intrusion into our lives, for violence in the streets, for socialism, and for a clearly corrupt man who openly lied to the American people with a history of profiting from his official positions.
But what really breaks my heart is that they voted for a gang of thugs that openly displayed their contempt for the American sense of fair play for four years. I can't reconcile that…
Israel, the Sunnis and the return of a pro-Iran White House
The Israeli media grotesquely cheers the apparent defeat of Israel's best friend ever in the Oval Office and his replacement by the vice president of the most hostile US leader in history.
President Donald Trump is the most pro-Israel president in history. President Barack Obama was the most anti-Israel president in history.
And now, the likeliest outcome of last week's presidential election is that Obama's vice president Joe Biden will be inaugurated on January 20 and Trump will depart the White House.
Trump is rightly exercising his right to cause a vote recount in Wisconsin and Georgia and suing to fight alleged voter fraud in Michigan and Pennsylvania. But to win the race at this point, Trump will need to win in Arizona and Georgia and either reverse the vote count in Wisconsin or Michigan or win the election in Pennsylvania. Trump owes it to his 71 million voters to ensure that the election results reflect the will of the voters. And so, he will exhaust all legal avenues. But the probability his efforts will win him the election is low.
The Israeli media grotesquely cheers the apparent defeat of Israel's best friend ever in the Oval Office and his replacement by the vice president of the most hostile US leader in history. While doing so the commentators soothingly insist Biden is a great friend to Israel.
While comforting, this claim is untrue, particularly in relation to Iran.
Biden is not known for his strong principles. Long a weathervane for popular opinion, Biden has changed his positions on everything from the politics of race to international trade to criminal justice to social security and Medicare. But while he has been quick to align his position on nearly all issues with the prevailing political winds, Biden has maintained allegiance to one, deeply controversial position throughout the years. That position is sympathy and support for the theocratic regime in Iran.
In the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks, Biden advocated giving $200 million to Iran to show America's good intentions to the Islamic world. During the Iraq War, Biden was one of the most powerful voices calling for the US to cut a deal with Iran which would essentially transform post-Saddam Iraq into an Iranian satrapy.
Biden was one of the chief advocates of nuclear appeasement towards Iran, both in the years preceding his ascendance to the vice presidency under Obama and throughout Obama's nuclear talks with Iran. Those talks, of course, led to the conclusion of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal that gave Iran an open path to a nuclear arsenal within a decade.
Since announcing his run for office, Biden – who was viciously critical of Trump's decision to abandon the nuclear deal – has pledged repeatedly that he will reinstate the US' commitment to the deal if elected, ensuring Iran acquires a nuclear arsenal.
In response to this anticipated policy change in Washington, Israel and its allies in the Persian Gulf have a keen interest in taking action to minimize Iran's prospects for achieving military nuclear capability during the next two months.
Those allies, in particular Saudi Arabia, are undoubtedly concerned at the prospect of a Biden administration. And their concern is well-placed.
In an election-eve interview with the Dearborn, MI-based American Arab News, Biden's running mate Senator Kamala Harris pledged to upend US-Saudi ties.
In her words, "Instead of standing by as the government of Saudi Arabia pursues disastrous, dangerous policies, including the ongoing war in Yemen, we will reassess the US relationship with Saudi Arabia and end support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen."
In other words, the US will support Iran's Houthi proxy in its war against Saudi Arabia.
There is an upside for Israel in Biden's anticipated turn towards Iran. Saudi Arabia, which was diffident about joining the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan in normalizing its ties with Israel may choose to do so in the coming weeks. Such a move, which would vastly widen the Arab-Israel peace forged by President Trump through the Abraham Accords would present the Biden administration with a major alliance standing as one opposed to a nuclear-armed Iran.
In the same interview, Harris pledged to work against Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria and block all Israeli moves to implement its sovereignty in Judea and Samaria in accordance with the Trump peace plan, while reopening the US consulate in Jerusalem that specifically served the Palestinians independent of the US Embassy to Israel. US aid to the PLO-run Palestinian Authority in Judea and Samaria and to Hamas-run Gaza will also be forthcoming, she promised.
In anticipation of these hostile moves, over the next two months, Israel should take concerted and meaningful action to dismantle illegal, strategically located Palestinian settlements in Area C.
If the Republicans are able to maintain their control over the Senate, and with a diminished Democrat majority in the House of Representatives, Biden will have difficulty passing the progressive domestic policy agenda he ran on. With the Israel-Sunni alliance system that Trump has strengthened and expanded, he will also face obstacles on his way to reinstating Obama's Middle East policies.
Haniyeh stated that “the Trump administration was the most extreme in its support for Israel at the expense of Palestinian rights. We call on President-elect Joe Biden to make a historic correction to the discriminatory American policy toward the Palestinian people that has caused instability in the region and the world.”
Haniyeh issued the following demands to the incoming president:
- Reverse the deal of the century
- Revoke the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel
- Cancel the relocation of the US embassy to Jerusalem
- Cancel all decisions related to the attempt to eliminate the issue of Palestinian refugees, and in particular to reduce UNRWA’s budget
According to Anadolu, the leaders of Qatar, Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan were less demanding and a whole lot friendlier.
The emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, congratulated Biden and Harris, tweeting, “I look forward to working together to continue strengthening the friendship between our countries.”
President Michel Aoun of Lebanon expressed his hope that “balance in the Lebanese American relations will return, for the good of the friendly Lebanese and American peoples.”
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi issued a statement early Saturday through presidential spokesperson Bassam Radi, saying he is looking forward to “cooperation and joint action to strengthen the strategic bilateral relations between Egypt and the United States for the interest of the two countries and peoples.”
Jordan’s King Abdullah II also congratulated the US president-elect, tweeting: “I look forward to working with you on further advancing the solid historic partnership between Jordan and the United States, in the interest of our shared objectives of peace, stability, and prosperity.”

There are so many facets to the current issues we face as a consequence of the unresolved election.
First, President Trump warned us the flood of sending unrequested ballots would create serious problems and he was mocked but he also has proven to be correct. Second, not all the states have the same vote counting dates and this helped create the mess. Third, the post office was unprepared for the deluge of mailings. Fourth, Democrats have been seeking to change voting methods for years starting with refuting the need to have identification requirements. Voting is a sacred right yet, Democrats claim it is not important to prove who you are because it is a burden. However, it is not a burden to get a book out of the library or to get welfare, apply for food stamps, board a plane and you get the drift. Fifth, progressives and radicals know if they can seed distrust in America's voting process this will be another significant way of destroying confidence and faith in our constitutional from of government and our way of wife.
There seems sufficient vote disparities in the recent election, issues of irregular counting, software manipulation, poll watcher restraints and actual fraudulent activity. If evidence of such is presented and is of sufficient quantity and widespread enough the next question is will SCOTUS decide it falls to them to resolve these thorny issues base on overwhelming evidence that laws were broken.
Also, a critical determinant will be if are there enough votes involved to move the needle.
If Trump loses he is entitled to believe he lost fairly. If Biden wins one would assume he would like to have any clouds removed. As for we the voters, it is critical we are comfortable that only legal votes were counted, the the results were honestly arrived at and the system was not skewed in favor of any party because of technology and/or fraud.
The (m)ass media are currently making it appear Trump is a sore loser and is dragging out the election results because he is a dangerous "dictator." Biden is following Hilary's dictates, do not concede. The stage is being set for ugly protests and rioting if SCOTUS investigates, finds evidence sufficient to support a decision the election was fraudulent and Trump ultimately is re-elected. I believe the odds do not favor this but it is imperative we reach the collective conclusion the election was honest and if that means a prolonged investigation followed by much re-counting so be it.
Trump is well within his rights to seek judication if the evidence is sufficient to warrant pursuit of the truth.
