I have re-posted three paragraphs from an op ed I posted in my previous memo that confirms my own thinking. I believe the decline in our collective societal attitude and behaviour began in the '60's regarding respect for authority.

The embrace of nihilistic attitudes and conduct was connected  to and surfaced with contempt for The Viet Nam and  has subsequently manifested itself in a variety of Anti-American attitudes and displays of anti-Social behaviour. Witness what happened this weekend in Oregon when a group of radical Antif members beat up a news photographer.  The police stood by.  This is far more threatening to freedom of press than anything Trump has ever done.  Obama surveiled those in the press and put several reporters  in jail. Then we have the hateful op ed towards ICE in The New York Times today. As noted, Alinsky proposed accusing those of doing what you are doing as an effective means of attack. The Clinton's and Obama, as are most of the Democrat current candidates,were/are expert at this.

Yes, Russia has and will continue to interfere in our elections but far more damage is being done by radical Americans, parading as protectors of our freedoms, whose ultimate goal is to bring about chaos and the collapse of our nation. Ocasio is being manipulated to accomplish this goal within the radicalized wing of the Democrat Party. (See 3 and 3a below.)

From this point forward with respect to N. Korea Trump must get concessions that are meaningful before doing anything else.

When it comes to China the message is basically the same.  Trump must get concessions. He cannot give in on national security protections  by reason on lessening our restrictions on Huawei and he oought to make it clear to XI we expect help with N Korea before we do anything meaningful vis avis trade relief.

As for Iran, Trump should actually increase the restrictions/sanctions and alert our allies they must begin accompanying/protecting their own ships.

I give Trump high marks for  his unorthodox methods that have brought the trade and nuclear issues front and center, buttressed by his imposed penalties.  Now he must stand back and expect positive responses before moving one inch toward considering concessions much less giving them.  We have a history of N Korean and Chinese behaviour and their  breaking commitments. It is time to toughen up and ignore any further demands on their part that we meet them further beyond what we have already done.

Trump must not become a patsy driven by a swollen ego. Obama filled that bill for eight years.

As for the knee jerk criticism of Trump nothing he does would be acceptable and until time has passed it is all premature and should be expected.  N Koreans know who their leader is so I doubt his stature has been elevated to our detriment. The man is a tyrant.  As for the Chinese they have been stopped for the moment from stealing our AI  or at least we are more on guard. In the trade department their hand has been called for the uneven trade playing ground we have allowed so what  Trump has done seems  to work to our advantage. Time will tell.

Finally, I recent heard someone give a good explanation of the difference between Democrats - liberals and Republicans - conservatives.  The latter think liberals are good people with mostly bad ideas, whereas liberals believe conservatives are bad people with bad ideas.

This is evident because liberals love to play the game of typing people who hold views they do not embrace.  If you disagreed with Obama's idea you were a racist and you know the rest.

"Anytime any Russian military platform arrives in the Western Hemisphere, we're taking a very close look at it," the official told the Washington Free Beacon. U.S. intelligence agencies first identified the small Russian naval task force headed by the guided missile frigate Admiral Gorshkov in the eastern Pacific around June 11 and followed the warships through the Panama Canal. The ships showed up in Havana harbor Monday and the official said it may conduct a passage near Venezuela, or make port there after it leaves Cuban waters. Support vessels included the logistics vessel Elbrus, medium sea tanker Kama, and rescue tug Nikolai Chiker, according to the Russian Navy. The official said the Gorshkov is one of the newer Russian warships but noted that "it's probably lucky it made it all the way across the Pacific Ocean." The dispatch of the naval group is "sending a signal by pulling into Havana at the same time that everything is going on in Venezuela." "There's no surprise that they would do that intentionally to kind of remind us they perceive they have some sort of leverage in the region," he said. Additionally, a Russian Air Force Il-62 transport brought in technicians to work on Russian military equipment used by the Venezuelans. "That sends a signal in its own right," the official said. "You've got millions of people starving in Venezuela. You've got no medicine, you've got no electricity, you've got gas shortages, lines for miles, and you're paying the Russians to come in and fix really old hardware, money that certainly should be used for humanitarian aid." The Il-62 brought both military personnel and equipment but no humanitarian aid. By contrast, the USS Comfort, a hospital ship, recently crossed through the Panama Canal on the way to Ecuador to provide medical relief. Elliott Abrams, U.S. special representative for Venezuela, told reporters that instead of caring for millions of poor, sick, and hungry citizens, the Maduro regime is spending millions on military goods. "We learned recently of a $38 million purchase of military uniforms," Abrams said. "In May, Venezuela signed a $209 million air defense contract with Russia to repair an air defense system, to buy nine Sukhoi fighter jets, and to buy eight transport helicopters. The regime also continues giving foreign aid to Cuba, providing oil without payment in exchange, unless the payment is the repressive intelligence apparatus, manned by about 2,500 Cuban agents that Cuba maintains in Venezuela to help keep the regime in power." The Comfort, he said, will provide medical care to Venezuelan refugees and local residents "while Russia is sending its warship the Gorshkov and more military technicians to Venezuela." The official noted "a very troubling dichotomy where the United States is bringing humanitarian aid, bringing doctors and medicine and the Russian government, guided missile frigates, and military personnel to Venezuela." "That speaks to some of the hypocrisy that we've seen with both Russia and Venezuela where they've said they don't want foreign troops in Venezuela. There aren't any U.S. foreign troops there, but there are certainly Russian foreign troops there." White House National Security Adviser John Bolton said in an interview last week that the Maduro regime is on its last legs since the emergence of the interim government headed by Juan Guaido. Bolton said the administration has put pressure on both the Maduro regime and Cuba by imposing new sanctions on the communist regime in Havana. "The fact is the current regime is unsustainable," Bolton said. "The top regime figures are like scorpions in a bottle. They don't trust each other. It's not just going to be in power for a sustained period of time." Twenty years of misrule by Maduro and his predecessor Hugo Chavez have created massive suffering, and conditions continue to worsen. "The importance of getting a peaceful transition of power is actually greater now than before to ease the suffering of the Venezuelan people," Bolton said. The White House is seeking to force the estimated 20,000 to 25,000 Cuban military and security personnel to leave the country. Bolton said making the Cubans disappear would speed a transition of power to a new Guaido government. The administration is planning additional sanctions on people in Venezuela and Cuba and to prevent Venezuela from transferring oil to Cuba. The official said the numbers of Russians in Venezuela are not clear but some may leave when the Il-62 departs. At least several hundred military personnel are there along with additional military contractors from the private army called the Wagner Group that are providing security for the Maduro regime. In March, President Trump warned Russia to remove all troops from the country. "Russia has to get out," he told reporters. The official said new measures against Cuba are likely to include targeted sanctions on cargo ships taking Venezuelan oil to Cuba. The oil is "the lifeblood" of Cuba's economy. "We're looking to take disciplined surgical steps to cut off that exchange of personnel that are propping up the illegitimate Maduro regime for oil," the official said. The goal is to make it more difficult for the Maduro regime to provide oil to Cuba. Insurance carriers also could be sanctioned, and new sanctions are planned that will target corruption among officials within the Maduro regime. The official said events of the past several days—the Gorshkov in Cuba, the Il-62 visit, and the arrest of five or six Venezuelan military officers allegedly for plotting a coup—are signs of deteriorating support for the regime. Venezuela recently canceled an annual army day parade. "It's very clear at this point that Maduro does not and cannot trust his military or his advisers around him," the official said. Also, Maduro announced recently that he plans to create a 4 million-member armed militia force by 2021. The Quillette editor and photojournalist suffered a brain hemorrhage that required him to stay in a hospital overnight, Quillette reports. The day before the assault, Ngo tweeted his anxieties about covering the June 29 demonstration. “I am nervous about tomorrow’s Portland Antifa rally. They’re promising ‘physical confrontation’ & have singled me out to be assaulted. I went on Tucker Carlson last year to explain why I think they’re doing this: They’re seeking meaning through violence.” According to Quillette, “[t]he scene was captured by local reporter Jim Ryan, whose video can be accessed at the link below.” Quillette offered a warning to potential viewers of the video: We caution readers that it is an unsettling spectacle—by which we mean not only the violence itself, but the unconstrained glee this pack of mostly young men exhibit as they brutalize a journalist whom they’d spent months demonizing on social media, and whom they’d explicitly singled out for attack. The attack on Ngo is yet another reminder that the totalitarianism-loving domestic terrorists of Antifa, who call themselves anti-fascist activists, are the real fascists in today’s America because, among other things, they use violent tactics pioneered by the real-live fascist storm-troopers of Weimar Germany, the Sturmabteilung (SA). These Antifa goons opposed the Nazis but eagerly copied their tactics, using their fists to shut down political opponents and break up meetings and rallies. Some Antifa today even dress like Nazis, wearing black and red, the anarchist colors which traditionally have also been used by Nazis. Antifa, which as a group has been warmly embraced by many Democrats, regained prominence in the post-Obama era by assaulting conservatives and Trump supporters. The hyper-violent anarchists and communists of the Antifa movement are notorious for promiscuously labeling those they target as fascists, Nazis, and racists, in the absence of evidence. Antifa routinely tag supporters of President Trump as fascists. Ngo is one of those innocent people smeared as a fascist because he doesn’t toe the Antifa line and dares to report what these bad people really do. Even Ngo’s status as a minority (Asian) and a gay man, two golden stars in the Left’s victim hierarchy, didn’t save him from a savage attack. A communications official at the left-wing group, the Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBTQ advocacy group in the U.S., mocked Ngo, saying not only that Ngo got what he deserved, but that he wanted the attack to happen. “Violence is completely wrong, and I find it sad and weak to allow a sniveling weasel like Andy Ngo to get under one’s skin like this, but I’m also not going to pretend that this wasn’t Ngo’s goal from the start[,]” Charlotte Clymer tweeted. “Andy Ngo intentionally provokes people on the left to drive his content[,]” Clymer continued. “Being attacked today on video taken an actual journalist (because Ngo is definitely not) is the greatest thing that could have happened to his career. You know it. I know it. He knows it. We all know it.” According to reports, at least one Antifa activist punched Ngo in the face. A group of them then got close to him, kicking and throwing cups of a white liquid at him as he moves away from them. Portland Police said some of the “milkshakes” thrown by Antifa at the rally contained moistened quick-drying cement, which can inflict chemical burns on exposed skin. It was not clear at press time if any of the cement made contact with Ngo’s body. In a video shot after the attack, a bleeding Ngo explains that his attackers made off with his camera. “I just got beat up by the crowd—no police at all—in the middle of the street and they stole my GoPro,” he said. “They punched me several times in my face and head. I’m bleeding.” Fellow independent journalist Michelle Malkin organized a GoFundMe fundraising campaign to benefit Ngo. “My friend, Portland, Oregon-based journalist Andy Ngo, was beaten and robbed today by Antifa while covering the latest paroxysms of left-wing violence,” she wrote at the GoFundMe page. “Andy has been singled out, doxxed, and targeted by SJW thugs while police stand by and do nothing.” Quillette excoriated the Antifa thugs for their “base motivations” that “seem to consist of glorifying themselves as freedom fighters on social media, and shutting down anyone who challenges their vainglorious narrative.” These people were so eager to pummel Ngo because he “has been relentless in exposing the true face of Antifa. They attacked him for the simple reason that he has challenged their ideological propaganda—an Antifa tactic that any true fascist would recognize and applaud.” 3a )Like “the invasion of the body-snatchers,” America has changed from a relatively free and happy land to a decidedly fretful and contentious place. The fouling of an open mind in an open atmosphere and the collapse of morals that began after the 1950s was not evolutionary and not inevitable. It was the accomplishment of change agents infiltrating America’s schools and institutes of learning, publication, entertainment, seminaries – change agents with Marxist ideas and no loyalty to America. Americans fell for this programmed, “evolutionary” transformation. This is a hard but necessary stand in order to make loud and clear to everyone throughout the land that Americans will no longer tolerate the deliberate and systematic dismantling of this nation. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 4) Where the Democrats are Trying to Take Us By Steve McCann After watching the first two Democratic Party presidential debates last week, it has become crystal clear that there are embedded in this nation’s body politic prospective oligarchs who are overwhelming threats to the future of the nation.  The Democratic Party and its puppet masters are unquestionably a clear and present danger to the United States The primary threat to this nation is not Donald Trump nor his supporters but an evolving autocratic oligarchy made up of the hierarchy of American Left, which includes elements of the political class, the mainstream media, the education establishment and, most recently, the titans of Silicon Valley.  Over the past 25 years, while the bulk of the Republican Party and the hierarchy of the conservative movement  myopically extended the hand of friendship, this cabal has been overwhelmingly successful in their stealth takeover of the Democratic Party, which is now the vehicle being utilized to manipulate the “unenlightened and inferior” masses with utopian promises and empty rhetoric.  They are doing so by promoting a so-called benevolent and just central government (i.e. socialism) dominated in perpetuity by the “enlightened” while promoting their brand of socialism and obliterating any opposition.  Additionally, their evolving position on abortion and euthanasia reflects the mindset that deems virtually all human beings as mere pawns of the state. The common mindset of all those determined to seize power in perpetuity, either by force of arms or the ballot box, is a profound contempt for the dignity and sanctity of human life.  This is a philosophical necessity in order to view the bulk of the populace as inferior and therefore servants and wards of the state to be exploited or restrained for political or economic ends.  Over time, this mentality inevitably and rapidly descends into the abyss of malevolence and the indiscriminate taking of life.  The first irreversible step in the evolution of this mindset is unfettered abortion at any stage of gestation or immediately after birth as well as the acceptance and promotion of unrestrained government sponsored euthanasia. Additionally, over the past 90 years virtually all potential oligarchs or tyrants have utilized the following six political stratagems, that do not require armed conflict, in order to permanently obliterate any opposition.  They were first employed by Adolf Hitler and documented by renowned American Psychoanalyst, Dr. Walter C Langer: Keep the public in a state of constant turmoil.  Pre-identify favored groups by race, economic status, ideology or religion and through constant repetition by allies in the media and entertainment cabal, establish that any perceived disadvantage within those assemblages is solely the fault of another pre-identified and isolated group, particularly Jews, traditional Christians and the capitalists. Never concede that there may be some good in your political enemy.  State loudly and often that they are a permanent adversary because they are determined to oppress the favored groups identified in 1) above as well as being racist, avaricious, treasonous etc. (i.e. the worst people on earth).  Thus, abrogation of their free speech privileges, their right to own firearms and to freely assemble is not only acceptable but a necessity. Never miss an opportunity to repeatedly and loudly blame one’s political enemy for anything that goes wrong regardless of how inane or unreasonable.  Thus, faux crises must be orchestrated as often as possible in order to blame the other side.  Further, any natural disaster or any aggressive action by a foreign adversary must also be attributed to one’s political adversary.  Never acknowledge or divulge that your side is at fault or wrong regardless of the situation or issue. Never, under any circumstances, leave room for civil discourse regarding alternative societal or governmental policies by proclaiming that those promoting any alternative have a hidden treasonous agenda.  Continually maintain the assertion as being irrefutable that a central government, in the hands of the enlightened, can resolve any issue and make life better. Finally, always utilize the ultimate tactic in promoting dogma or denigrating one’s opponent: The Big Lie.  People will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if it is repeated frequently enough, people will sooner or later accept it as the truth.  The fabricated dire consequences of so-called climate change; the contrived narrative of Donald Trump colluding with Russia; the myth of rampant white nationalism and the illusion that this is a virulently racist nation are recent examples of this stratagem. Even the least politically involved Americans can see that over the past two decades, the hierarchy of the American Left and its appendages as well as many elected officials in the Democratic Party have been shamelessly utilizing all these tactics.  Further, this clique, in their disdain for human life is not only exploiting gullible and ill-educated armies of illegal immigrants as pawns in an attempt to create a new and reliable voting bloc and rend the fabric of the nation; they are also unabashedly in favor of unfettered abortion at any stage of gestation, upon birth or shortly thereafter, and have also begun promoting unrestrained euthanasia.  As confirmed by all 24 candidates presently running for the Democratic Party presidential nomination singing out of the same hymn book, this potential oligarchy, in order to assume power in perpetuity, is continuing its attempt to hoodwink the electorate with deceptive and unrealizable utopian promises straight out of the Marxian Socialist playbook. Hence, the American Left, and its political arm-- the Democratic Party-- is the ideological and spiritual offspring of the callous authoritarians that ran roughshod throughout the twentieth century.  The American Left may not harbor the murderous and tyrannical urges of many of those despots but their determination to control all the levers of power is no different.  Over the past century, Socialism, regardless of its many names and faces, is a contrived Ponzi scheme utilized by those with either megalomaniacal or ruthless inclinations in order to permanently insert themselves at the helm of a nation’s ruling structure. During the more than two years of his presidency, Donald Trump has not employed these self-serving tactics, he is unabashedly a promoter of pro-life causes and he has been a champion of liberty and capitalism.  As someone who has firsthand experience with the tyranny of Nazism or National Socialism, I can say with confidence that Donald Trump is the antithesis of a potential despot and that the vast bulk of those who support him are patriots and the polar opposite of Fascist sympathizers. Because of the unique structure of checks and balances set out in the Constitution, this nation can only function with two major political parties.  One of these, the Democratic Party, as these dreadful debates reinforced, is now controlled by authoritarian oligarchs.  Never in its 243-year history has the United States faced such a stark political contrast or threat to its founding principles.  Unless and until the Democratic Party permanently rids itself of those in the thrall of socialism and afflicted with megalomania or is discarded on the ash heap of history, the American people, and in particular many elected Republicans and the myopic self-serving Never Trump faction in the hierarchy of the conservative movement, must understand that there is no option other than Donald Trump in 2020 and a vibrant combative conservative pro- American or nationalist movement for the foreseeable future. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
