Stella turns 9 and celebrates with all her first cousins.  I was "bowled" over to see how grown up

she has become!

We visited four cities and drove 1500 miles in 5 days so we could be with Stella, visit friends in Naples whom we met on a cruise and friends in Sarasota who lived here and moved away.  We also were able to visit with Abby, Brian, Daniel, Tamara briefly and saw the house Daniel and his family will be moving into once the "overhaul" is completed. We also saw other family members on Tamara's side.

This included an upgrade of the Edgar Thomson Works in Braddock, the Irvin Plant in West Mifflin, and Clairton Coke Works, with technology and improvements that would have provided cleaner air for all three communities where the plants are located, as well as good-paying jobs that would have provided prosperity for the region for decades. On Friday, U.S. Steel said after months of tug-of-war with the Allegheny County Health Department and pressure from environmental groups it is canceling the $1.5 billion upgrade and idling three batteries at Clairton Coke Works by 2023.
