On The Road Again. Leaving for Louisville Today. Power of Mass Social Media Organizations Are Too Powerful. Their Nails Must Be Clipped. Plus More.

They probably love kale and also vote

Tim Scott has it about right:

The liberal media are fanning the flames in what they call a “Republican Civil War.” They want us to fight each other while Democrats push an extremist leftist agenda including woke socialism and granting amnesty to illegals.

I just sent this message to The White House:

I submit there is something radically wrong when an American  president honors a thug  yet seems too occupied with helping Iran go nuclear while Israeli's are bombed and Jews are attacked in the streets of our nation simply for being  Jews.

In an absolutely delightful and enchanting White House ceremony, Joe Biden welcomed the family of a criminal who committed  6 burglaries, 3 car thefts, multiple illegal trespasses, had an ongoing cocaine and alcohol addiction, committed 2 violent home invasions, 3 armed robberies, dealt in Fentanyl and Meth, passed counterfeit money, beat 4 victims senseless and was arrested 23 times since 1998.

What a compassionate president. We are ever so blessed to have such an enlightened  leader.  We should be thankful to live in such a great country.  This wonderful gesture, when combined with the decision to fly The BLM Marxist flag over American embassies, certainly makes  this "deplorable" proud. Again, the flag of the same anti-Semitic organization that supports Hamas.

These historic actions go a long way toward assuring 80 million (+) voters can’t be wrong.

Also, it has now been 366 days since George Floyd committed a crime.

If this report is correct it is pathetic. Is America turning into Germany? Are Biden appointees turning into Himmler's? Do we get to exchange our masks for yellow arm bands?

Even More pathetic:

The Deafening Silence of Jewish Celebrities on Israel

For the past few days, we at the World Values Network, have been locked in an epic and global battle with media and singing superstar Dua Lipa. The British entertainer maligned Israel as an apartheid state, guilty of ethnic cleansing, and we responded with a full-page ad in last Saturday’s New York Times.

It’s not exactly a fair fight. Dua Lipa has 66 million followers on Instagram. We don’t come close. But every Jewish person needs to do what they can to defend Israel and fight antisemitism amid a tsunami of hatred being expressed against our people.

An Israeli TV news magazine was interviewing me about the ad and the global reaction when they put this question to me: “Why do the Palestinians have so many celebrities with hundreds of millions of followers on social media who strongly support them, while we in Israel don’t have even one?”

Good question. I didn’t have an answer.

The fight on social media is so lopsided, as to be almost embarrassing.

Here’s one of the reasons.

Even the Hamas terror organization understands the importance of celebrities and influencers. But we in the Jewish community put all our eggs in one basket: politics.

AIPAC and all the other large pro-Israel organizations have cultivated relationships with Senators, members of Congress, and presidents — but not with movie stars, singers, and celebrities. It’s never been a priority. We just never understood how important the culture is.

Go through the numbers for a moment and add it up. The three major cable news networks, on a good night, will get, say, 15 million viewers.

Dua Lipa is peddling her lies about Israel to 66 million people every single day. Add the hate-filled Hadid sisters, Bella and Gigi, and you have something in the region of 150 million followers. And they’re all young people, twenties and lower, for the most part.

These celebrities are helping to poison an entire generation of young people against the only free society in the Middle East, and we’re letting them.

And added to this is the fact — even as we don’t care to admit it — that many Jewish celebrities are scared of standing up for Israel. They’re intimidated, afraid to damage their brand, afraid to lose sponsors, afraid to be connected with Israel’s “toxicity.”

That’s right. Israel, one of the most righteous countries on earth, has become toxic on social media. And world-renowned Jewish celebrities, who have tens of millions of followers on social media, will not say even one really nice word about the Jewish state — even when they’re Israeli! — for fear of damaging their brand. (Or worse, because they agree).

This leads us to what needs to be done now to reverse this awful trend.

First, we have to neutralize the worst offenders who promote the most repulsive lies about Israel and the Jewish people. We have to challenge their defamation with ads in global publications and as much earned media as we can muster to defend against their lies. They have to know that there is a price to be paid for defaming the Jewish people.

Dua Lipa really believed that she could libel Israel with the most serious charges of war crimes and completely get away with it. She believed there was zero price to pay for defaming a people who experienced a genocide just 75 years ago. That’s how arrogant she is. But it’s also how cheap we have allowed Jewish life to become.

Remember, when the Jews in general, and Israel in particular, are defamed as a bunch of genocidal monsters, our humanity is compromised and it becomes easy to trace a line between such extreme defamation and Jews being beaten up on the streets of New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto, all of which happened last week alone.

Second, once we have neutralized the worst offenders, or at the very least made them accountable for their lies, it’s time to go forward with an inspirational message about Israel as a light unto the nations and especially a great beacon of freedom in the Middle East.

Would it were that all of our Arab brothers and sisters would have the freedoms and liberties of Israeli Arabs and Israeli Jews. Would it were that Arab women could dress how they want, date whom they want, and study in any university they want, as can the citizens of Israel.

Would it were that all Arabs could freely criticize their leaders without any fear of retribution and could vote to elect their chosen leaders in the first place.

Would it were that all Arabs in the Middle East could participate in a robust and progressive economy, with well-paying jobs, rather than living under a tyranny like Hamas that condemns them to a life of misery and degradation.

And would it were that our Arab brothers and sisters would finally see Israel as a blessing and a vision of what their own societies could be, rather than scapegoating the Jewish state as the source of their own problems, when in reality, all those problems come from the murderous and tyrannical leaders who rip them off, tyrannize, and subjugate them.

Hanson asks a legitimate question.  Is there a legitimate answer?

Will the 2020 Madness Last?

As Americans sober up, will they reject the frenzy that took the country over the cliff during the most unhinged year in American history?

The COVID-19 pandemic is ending with mass vaccinations. So is the national quarantine. The riots, arson, and looting of the 2020 summer are sputtering out—leaving violent crime in their wake.

The acrimony over the 2020 election fades. Trump Derangement Syndrome became abstract when Donald Trump left office and was ostracized from social media.

In other words, the American people are slowly regaining their senses after the epidemic of mass hysteria and insanity that gripped the nation in 2020.

But Americans will wonder whether what Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and the hard Left wrought last year will last when the nation is no longer gripped by 2020 madness.

Teachers and academics are notorious for furious opposition to administrative bloat. For the last 50 years, administrations have proliferated, while the ratio of non-teachers to teachers has skyrocketed—to the chagrin of teacher unions.

But in the last year, schools and colleges have gone mad in hiring thousands of “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” administrators. Their job descriptions may be vague. But certainly, they will not contribute to classroom education. Instead, they will monitor the speech and thoughts of those who do.

How long will mostly left-wing teachers’ unions continue to support such vast diversions of money to armies of new left-wing non-teaching administrators?

Before 2020, the Left demanded “proportional representation” in hiring and admissions. And if minority groups and women were not represented in the workplace according to their percentages of the American population, then prejudice was automatically assumed (“disparate impact”). Reparatory measures were then made to hire by race and gender.

“Affirmative action” was the euphemism for such quotas. It was nevertheless more or less institutionalized because proportional representation was not entirely illogical in a multiracial society. And there was still the common goal to follow Martin Luther King, Jr.’s notion of integration and assimilation to make race incidental not essential to who Americans are.

Not now. The foundations of the new woke race agenda are mostly anti-white. African American Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot recently decided not to call on reporters who were white. The city of Oakland’s entitlement payouts, like those of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, are designed not to be distributed to white people.

A number of black intellectuals now openly envision American life segregated from whites—and far worse. The Nation’s Elie Mystal envisions his life as “whiteness free.” Damon Young, a senior editor of The Root and an occasional New York Times contributor, claims, “Whiteness . . . kills people.” And Barnard College English instructor Ben Philippe recently wrote a novel envisioning mass gassing and blowing up of white people.

Such hatred has never been condemned by Black Lives Matter or other civil rights groups. When the country returns to life after COVID will such 2020 venom still be tolerable?

Or for that matter, will the media be able to get away with not covering frequent attacks on Jews in major cities by mostly pro-Hamas or Arab American youth? Will they still be able to promulgate the lies that Asian American hate crimes are the work of white supremacists rather than overwhelmingly committed by young black males?

Before 2020, the American people tired of the media farces surrounding such events as the Duke lacrosse team, the lies about the Covington kids, and Jussie Smollett’s hoax about being attacked by white racists. Will they return to their earlier skepticism about media hype when it increasingly seems like the media and the government mostly lied when denying the possibility that the coronavirus leaked from a Wuhan lab engaged in “gain-of-function” engineering of dangerous viruses?

Will people still believe that “armed insurrectionists” on January 6, 2021 planned a “coup” and killed officer Brian Sicknick? As the hysteria fades, we are learning there were no arms anywhere. No one has been charged with treason, conspiracy, or insurrection. There are no conspiracy kingpins in custody. And Sicknick tragically died a day later from natural causes

By the end of the year, will the media-hungry Anthony Fauci still be a national icon, as the country finally adds up his contradictory communiqués that were constantly changing and often flat-out wrong, without ever apologizing for his deliberate misinformation?

What will the country make of the formerly derided “conspiracy theory” that Fauci himself helped to steer U.S. funding to the Chinese viral lab in Wuhan, the birthplace of COVID-19, when it increasingly is shown to be true?

From March 2020 to March 2021 the country went through a mass hysteria. Despite its ideological pretensions, the collective insanity was not unlike the Tulip mania in early 17th-century Holland, the 1950s hula-hoop craze, or the great June bug hysteria of 1962.

But as Americans sober up, will they institutionalize or reject the frenzy remaining from the destructive stampede that took the country over the cliff during the most unhinged year in American history?
