Rolling Blackouts. Stupid Comments Add Up To Energy Dependency. New Media Company Investigates Georgia Election. Snow Job.

Rolling blackout commentary:

HERE’S THE TRUTH ABOUT ROLLING BLACKOUTS FROM: Suzi Greenfield

Sorry this is long, but maybe I can help with an explanation about the rolling blackouts. I worked 30 years and retired from controlling the power grid. I know climate change people don’t want to hear the truth but here it is. Due to government regulations, Southwest Power Pool located in Little Rock, now controls what happens in their power pool area which is the central and south central United States. The SPP area is short 12,000 MW of capacity to produce power. That’s 12 billion watts of power in demand that they cannot produce. In fact, for a power company that can’t produce enough energy to supply its demand, it normally ranges around $30/MW to purchase from another company, but to buy power from another company today it is now $4000-$5000/MW. Some companies take advantage and gouge those that are hurting, but even at these prices power is unavailable. Why is there not enough power available? Many reasons, but mostly it’s due to climate change initiatives and environmental over-regulations. These initiatives and regulations have made it so expensive for power companies to operate and upgrade coal fired power plants that they have been forced to shut down about 40% of them, losing much power producing capacity over all. Coal plants are by far the biggest power producers. On top of that, during extreme cold weather such as we are currently experiencing, power plants freeze up. The coal freezes and makes it almost impossible to run on conveyer belts and run thru hoppers and feeders that feed the coal into the boiler. Water lines and drains freeze up Rivers and lakes that feed cooling water to the plants freeze. It is an extremely difficult job and extremely hazardous to keep everything going with people working 16 hour shifts busting frozen coal in the extreme cold. Most plants are very limited to what they can produce, if at all, under these conditions. With 40% of the coal fired plants gone, there is no backup to pick up the losses and increased power usage caused by the weather. Of course solar panels don’t work at night or on cloudy days or when snow and ice is covering the solar panels. Solar is very minimal anyway. Wind turbines don’t turn with no wind or when they are frozen up or have ice/snow on the blades and many of them are unavailable now. What about gas fired power plants? Well, President Biden shut much of the pipelines and production down so guess what? There is a shortage of natural gas. Workers in the industry have already been cut. Power companies buy natural gas in the future. They estimate what they will need in a given period day by day and purchase it ahead of time. There is only so much available at any given time and you only get what you prepurchased. They use many forecast models with many variants including weather forecasts and historical records under similar conditions. And what do you use a lot of in this weather? Right, electricity and natural gas/propane. With a shortage of gas already, you mix in homes using massive amounts of gas in this weather and a problem has been created. So when you look at all of the above, a perfect storm has been created for rolling blackouts. It has nothing to do with your particular area It’s SPP wide, and SPP makes the decision on who gets cut and for how long. They try to make everybody feel the pain some instead of any one area feeling all the pain. Hence, cut power for an hour or so, then another area for an hour or so, and so on. It may be many hours, it varies, but they try to keep it minimal. Yes, down power plants in Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma or Kansas, it doesn’t matter, if there is not enough generation available SPP wide, most everybody will feel it, even in Miami, Ok. Just another point, wind and solar power is way too expensive to build and operate, and is NOT cost effective by any means. Power companies did not build them because they are a good thing, it is because the Obama administration (aka taxpayers) paid them huge subsidies to build them. In recent years due to Obama’s regulations, my former company alone was forced to close several coal fired power plants that would have contributed to preventing these power outages. Obama forced the closing of reliable coal fired power plants while at the same time paying companies to build solar/wind plants that don’t work well. So, if you support the climate change initiative, don’t complain about your power being cut in extreme hot or cold weather. Don’t complain because your electricity and gas bills increase. It is a consequence of your own making and is already getting worse with Biden. You are feeling that pain today. People in the industry have been warning about this but when the government forces the hand of power and gas companies, this is what you get. Never take electricity for granted, it’s not guaranteed to always be there, especially when the government gets involved. Do you still want them to control your healthcare?

Biden the "What Me Worry Snow Day kid:"

JOE BIDEN-WHAT ME WORRY?

By:  Hal Morris

As a presidential candidate, I thought that Joe Biden made many stupid comments and promises during his campaign. I attributed his promises to just plain natural MAD magazine stupidity, but now after his election and tirade of executive orders, as the saying goes, "He's not naturally stupid he has to really work hard at it." What else can explain his strong desire to obliterate our present state of energy independence, lead us down the path to energy dependence, and quickly destroy our successful economic advancements? His first move, probably written by either Bernie Sanders or one of Sanders's advisors, was to issue an executive order stopping construction of the Keystone pipeline. Why?

President Biden's motives can only be logically understood if you believe that fossil fuels' burning is the cause of our planet's Earth's death. Green advocates postulate the thesis that the burning of fossil fuels is killing our planet despite a growing body of scientific analysis that disproves their conclusions about climate change. Still, in reality, the crisis they have created is not to address climate but as a tool to secure political and economic changes in countries worldwide.

President Biden's antagonistic moves on his first day in the office is also probably his foolish way of attempting to destroy "Anything Trump." How nice to send a message that there is a new sheriff in town. His goal is "To Kill Fossil Fuels." His executive order immediately stopping the Keystone pipeline will not kill fossil fuels but increase the cost of transporting crude oil to refineries, thus increasing the cost of heating oil, gasoline, plastics, and other products made from oil. Woe to the consumer, especially those who are considered low socio-economic earners.

It has accomplished killing the livelihoods of over 11,000 skilled workers and, even more harmful, the jobs and small businesses in many small towns across the pipeline route. Of course, his energy czar, "let them eat cake," John Kerry helps these unemployed workers by offering them retraining and jobs building solar panels and wind turbines! Never mind that about 90% of these jobs are located in China and Asia, where their raw materials are located. God forbid that Biden and his advisors would even attempt to examine the false pronouncements or scientific data behind the "kill fossil fuels" movement, nor examine the implications if his goals come to fruition.

Not satisfied with his first reckless move, he suspends new fossil fuel leases and drilling permits on Federal lands and waters. This move is then followed up by his announcement declaring a further ban on all oil and gas leases in the United States. An examination of these bans' impact will not kill fossil fuels because the objective is to increase the price of oil, gasoline, and natural gas so high that the "green" energy sources such as solar and wind become favorably aligned and not overly expensive as they are now. The result for Biden and his mentor Bernie Sanders is more use of "green energy."

A recent article by Shawn Regan, "The Cost of Not Drilling," points out that the ban on oil and gas leasing will 'inflict significant harm' on many states that rely on revenues from such activities. The article points out that revenues from energy leases are a major federal income source, second only to taxes.

This income is then distributed to states. It is a major source of funds allotted to Native tribes and the primary source for distributing popular federal and state programs from education to conservation to health care and public safety. Before the pandemic, nearly $12 billion was distributed. No mention of how the Democrats/Socialists are going to replace these funds. (Shawn Regan, The Cost of not Drilling, The National Review, 2/22/21.)

As the President says, "Come on man," the

landmark conservation bill, the Great American Outdoors Act, passed last year, is funded entirely by federal energy revenues. Regan's article in itself is a blockbuster. Evidently, his ability to research the President's hasty's action and the resulting impact, without thought, is far more thoughtful than Biden and his staff did before issuing his executive orders

Certainly last, the February 18, 2021 editorial in the Wall

Street Journal points out that the electric grid that "... depends upon on subsidized but unreliable wind and solar needs baseload power to weather surges in demand." The editorial quickly destroys the "Climate Change" advocate's excuses to explain the current Texas electric grid failure as the fault of gas, coal, and nuclear power. Politicians and green power advocates don't want to address this because they have been clamoring to take coal and nuclear power plants off the grids for years. Now they also want to reduce natural gas production, one of the cleanest sources of power available.

As it has done in the past, the major media outlets either don't

tell the truth or distort reality to fit their progressive leftist attitudes. All of us suffer because the biased media doesn't have the honesty necessary to explain and expose the charade being perpetrated upon the American people and the world.

Where are the investigative reporters and journalists? They are

busy quashing Hunter Biden news or quashing the Governor Cuomo disaster in New York COID Nursing home deaths.

What needs to be done is to continually confront the false

information on fossil fuels and force Green proponents to defend their positions with facts and verified scientific data. If we don't then, we will suffer the consequences of the destruction of our free enterprise system and the world's strongest economy.

This from a very dear friend and fellow memo reader:

Ran across some guys that formed a new media company called Creative Destruction Media in Connecticut.  They have taken an interest in the election in Georgia, and are running a series on the election.

They ran this article from someone they called a "prominent Atlanta attorney."  No one like that in my circles, but maybe it would interest you.

When Biden says he is taking a "Snow Day" what he means, to all you liberals and Trump haters that voted for him and Kamala is,  he "snowed." you.  What America is getting are Obama and Holder puppets.  If you like warmed over "bagels" eat heartily.

Former CIA Director and Top Intel Officials Slam Biden’s Iran Approach

President Trump’s former CIA director Mike Pompeo and other top intelligence and national security officials have expressed concerns over Biden’s approach to Iran.

Biden has signaled that he is willing to reenter talks with the worlds leading state sponsor of terror. According to State Department Spokesman Ned Price the Biden administration would “accept an invitation from the European Union High Representative to attend a meeting of the P5+1 and Iran to discuss a diplomatic way forward on Iran’s nuclear program.”

One official responded by saying the current president has choked.

According to The Daily Wire:

Left-leaning Washington Post columnist Josh Rogin wrote that the move from Biden comes after alleged Iranian-backed terrorists attacked U.S. forces in Iraq earlier this week — to which Biden still does not appear to have responded.

“Other Iranian proxies, such as the Houthis in Yemen, are not rewarding Biden’s more diplomatic approach with restraint — responding to outreach with new attacks on civilians,” Rogin wrote. “Meanwhile, the leaders in Tehran are acting as if they have all the leverage, making demands and escalating their nuclear brinkmanship.”

“The Ayatollah understands only strength,” Pompeo said. “I led a response to the Iranian threat that protected the American people from its terror and supported the Jewish state of Israel. Adopting the European Union model of accommodation will guarantee Iran a path to a nuclear arsenal.”

Nationally security expert Tim Morrison, who was on Trump’s National Security Council and is currently a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, told The Daily Wire in a statement that the Biden administration was giving up all leverage as it tried to restart the “dangerously flawed” deal.

GOP Rep Michael McCaul of Texas also responded:

The Daily Wire also included a statement from Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute Rebecca Heinrichs who said, “Iran takes cheating on the nuclear deal to the next level, fires rockets at Americans in Erbil just days ago, then threatens to keep nuclear inspectors out, and how does Biden respond? Absolutely chokes.”

This is the new message the United States is sending the rest of the world while returning to the failed approach of peace through appeasement by the Obama Administration.
