Sharia Law Is Coming. Trump Is To Blame For The Sun Setting and Everything Else. Random Thoughts.

Change is coming and my liberal friends do not believe Sharia Law is in the offing. (See 1 below.)

Stacey Abrams is having a problem figuring out where she can best serve America. Maybe should could be BETO's VP.  https://www.yahoo.com/news/stacey-abrams-considers-2020-presidential-174800145.html?.tsrc=fauxdal

Please note, a friend and fellow memo reader pointed our "Tingling" Chris works for MSNBC, not CNN.

Trump is to blame for the homicidal killing on the tram in the Netherlands.  How could that be?  Because he is always in dutch.

When radicals nut cases were killing people no one in the mass media ever attributed them to Obama. In fact, Obama eliminated the word Islamic terrorism or reference in government documents, military annuals etc.

 Double standards?

Random thoughts:

Because of my hip I have been restricted so I have double downed on reading.  I am currently reading Daniel Krauthammer's collection of his father's essays: "The Point Of It All."

One I found particularly interesting pertained to the impact government, the insurance industry and legal profession has had on wrecking an, otherwise, excellent domestic medical profession and health sector.

Charles posed this question - would the legal profession tolerate the constraints on its profession that it imposes on the health delivery?  Obviously there is no way and if it did the legal profession would be worse than it is, the cost would be prohibitive which it has become and a wave of retirements would be occurring.

Charles points out the aggressive plaintiff side of the legal profession basically owns the Senate.

I also happened to catch an interview of three authors on C Span 2 discussing the 2d World War. One discussed the gratitude we owe FDR for his personnel selections and his foresight in orchestrating the conditions allowing for the massive industrial build up that produced equipment and munitions that helped us defeat Germany, Italy and Japan..

In the case of "Ike," FDR understood his ability and the necessity for him to  deal with egos the size of Montgomery and Patton and Marshall's ability to support "Ike." I found this observation particularly insightful.

In terms of Trump, he, apparently, has finally put together a team equal to the challenges and he feels comfortable with now.

I find reading a unique way of transporting the soul to distant places and a method for challenging and stretching one's mind.  My choice of books are not necessarily deep but seldom are they, what I call, "Beach Books," ie.John Grisham light though entertaining.

My brother in law, Stuart, is a brilliant medical scientist. There was a period when I was convinced his work in multiple-myeloma cancer research would earn him a Nobel Prize in Medicine.  Stu's choice  in reading is strictly science fiction etc.  I try to be tolerant of the taste other's have in their reading selections but I find time and eyesight so precious I cannot conceive of wasting it on anything not instructive, educable etc.  But then, who am I just be so judgmental.

Some interesting articles:

Why?  Basically because Democrats want certitude  when it comes to winning the presidency and controlling decisions emanating from a Supreme Court that disregards the constitution.

1) Congressmen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib have wasted no time in shaking up the US House of Representatives. Early Friday morning, Omar and Tlaib introduced a bill adding Islamic holidays to the Federal calendar which has traditionally only recognized American holidays. Omar and Tlaib’s bill would add Eid Al-Fitr at the end of Ramadan and the four-day-long celebration of Eid Al-Adha to the list of Federally recognized holidays, potentially granting reasons to banks, schools, and other businesses to remain closed for five additional days per year. Omar and Tlaib justified their work as making America more inclusive of it’s Muslim-American population and moving us further away from our history as a primarily Judaeo-Christian nation.

The women are also considering a last minute addition to their bill that would allow for regular Salah time breaks for school children and workers as well as a designated area in each public business where Muslims could perform Salah, the five daily prayers plus the Friday prayer, unmolested.

The House of Representatives Majority Leader, Steny Hoyer, is reviewing the legislation and determining if he can get the votes to pass the bill. Anonymous sources say Omar and Tlaib are threatening court action if Hoyer should choose not to acquiesce to their demands for immediate vote and consideration on the grounds of religious discrimination.

We predict that the next thing we can expect from this pair of women will be Sharia Law appearing as a rider to their legislation. Perhaps they should have stayed in the countries that they came from if they enjoyed Islamic culture so much! FYI-There are now 10 Federal Holidays; only Christmas day is related to religion. Some state and local jurisdictions also include Good Friday and/or Easter Monday.  The idea of mandating regular Salah time breaks and a designated area in each public business and school for daily prayers may be a good idea-provided that it is also extended to Christians and Jews that are now prohibited from such practice.

One more comment: Ever since Rhett Butler uttered the words "Frankly my dear I don't give a damn" in 1939, this nation has been sliding downhill. Slowly at first, but the rapidity picked up in the 50's and 60's as the liberals took over indoctrination of the children.

I'm fearful that by 2039, one century later, the United States of America will be unrecognizable as it is known today.
