Liberals Want to Liberate Us From Having to Worry About/See Negative Aspects of Our History. Bless Their Hearts. Watch For The Avalanche Of Disgust To Surface.

I cannot think of a more incompetent organization than the U.N's security forces. (See 1 below.)

Is the avalanche of dissatisfaction about to reveal itself? Don't blame Trump because this feckless party exposed itself. (See 2 below.)

Hezbollah Is Running Rings Around U.N. Monitors in Lebanon

The Security Council should expand the force’s mandate—and make sure they do their jobs.

By Danny Danon

Over the past year, I have given dozens of United Nations ambassadors tours of Israel’s border with Lebanon. During a recent visit with my American counterpart, Nikki Haley, Israel Defense Forces officers identified Hezbollah positions along our northern border. Our guests appropriately asked where the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon was, and why nothing was being done to stop Hezbollah terrorists from blatantly violating numerous Security Council resolutions.

Our answer was simple. The Unifil force is there, but they are not effectively fulfilling their mandate. The good news is that when Unifil’s mandate comes before the Security Council later this month, there are practical steps that can be taken to ensure that this important U.N. force succeeds and another conflict with Hezbollah is avoided.

Unifil was established in 1978 with the goal of restoring “international peace and security” and assisting the Lebanese government in extending its authority over southern Lebanon. The force was altered in 1982 after the First Lebanon War and again in 2000 when Israel completed its withdrawal from Lebanese territory.
In August 2006, following the Second Lebanon War and the subsequent Security Council Resolution 1701, Unifil’s mandate expanded to include monitoring the cease-fire. Most importantly, Unifil was charged with ensuring that the territory south of the Litani River remained free of weapons and fighters other than the Lebanese army.

Unfortunately, these efforts have failed. Over the past year alone, we have shared with the Security Council new information detailing how border towns have become Hezbollah strongholds. One out of three buildings in the village of Shaqra is now being used to store arms or launch attacks on Israel. We also shared with the council intelligence revealing how the Iranians use civilian airlines to smuggle dangerous arms into southern Lebanon. When the Second Lebanon War ended, Hezbollah had around 7,000 rockets. Today, they have more than 100,000.

Hezbollah is lately stepping up its efforts to destabilize the region. In April its fighters posed for pictures with rocket-propelled-grenade launchers during a media “tour” of their positions along Israel’s border. Unifil forces did nothing to halt this live, televised violation of Security Council resolutions.

In June, Israel reported to the U.N. that Hezbollah has established a series of border outposts under the guise of an agricultural organization called Green Without Borders. Our intelligence services have determined that these positions are used regularly for reconnaissance operations against Israel. In this instance too, Unifil insisted on turning a blind eye, claiming that it lacked authority to investigate.

To rectify this situation, and avoid a new conflict, the Security Council must make real changes to Unifil’s mandate. In addition to generally improving Unifil’s performance, the council should insist on three vital steps.
First, Unifil must increase its presence in the territory. This includes meticulously inspecting the towns and villages of southern Lebanon. Hezbollah strongholds, like the one in Shaqra, must be dismantled, and other villages must be kept free of rockets and weapons aimed at Israeli population centers.

Second, Unifil must report all violations of Resolution 1701. The Security Council should not hear about them from us, and definitely not from the media. It is vital that Unifil report on these violations in real time to ensure that the members of the council can take appropriate measures.

Third, the Unifil forces must insist on unlimited access to all suspicious installations under their mandate. As a report by the U.N. secretary-general recently noted, Unifil is regularly obstructed in southern Lebanon.

Excuses regarding the activities of nongovernmental organizations or other Hezbollah front groups should not be tolerated.

Israel has been, and always will be, ready to defend its citizens. At the same time, no one wants Unifil to succeed more than Israel does. With Hamas rearming in Gaza and Islamic State increasing its strength along our frontier with Syria, we seek calm and stability on our northern border. To achieve this, the Security Council must step up its efforts to ensure that Unifil’s renewed mandate fulfills the goals outlined above. Failing to do so will call into question the efficacy of this U.N. peacekeeping force and endanger the lives of innocent Israelis and Lebanese.

Mr. Danon is Israel’s ambassador to the U.N.

2)Trump's Unintended Consequences: The Republican Party Reveals Itself

I think that the Sermon on the Mount applies to the vast majority of Republican Party officialdom right now.
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?  It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.”
The Republican Party once was the party of conservatives.  It still is the only place any conservative can be elected in today’s political world.  So far.  Unfortunately, the party of Reagan has disappeared.  Trump did not make them disappear, but his improbable run, and win, has revealed who the party really is.

And it ain’t pretty.

It’s been apparent for a while that they are the stupid party.  But I never thought they were this stupid.

It’s been apparent for a long time they had Stockholm Syndrome.  Captured by the left, they have been cowed into being spineless mushes afraid to be called names.  But I never thought it was this bad.

It’s been apparent for a while this is a party interested in taking a back seat, as long as they get money, perks, and some kind of fame.  But I never thought it was this corrupt.

Something has gone very wrong since Trump ascended.  And it’s not him. He’s virtually the only one trying to do the right things.  At this point, it’s clear we have a combination of sick factions in the GOP, and none of them give a damn about the party’s voters, none of them give a damn about the principles they claim to have stood for in the past years, and none of them have a clue about what they are doing.

What has this party done since Trump saved their bacon, keeping them in the majority, saving them from becoming a worthless second fiddle to a corrupt Hillary?  Nothing.  Just nothing.  And now worse than nothing.  I am not the first to say this, but let’s be clear, the GOP has become a party of spineless wimps and frauds.  They have betrayed half of America, betrayed the base that once supported them so well, and also betrayed their country.

They have been watching fecklessly as the left is destroying the agenda they were sent to put into place.  They have been sitting on their hands while the left has been destroying their own party’s president, not only doing nothing, but often actively helping the left in their attempts to take him down.

They allowed this nonsense of Russia!Russia!Russia! to fester, knowing it was nonsense (and yes, it’s provable that they all knew).   None of them stepped up to the plate to tell the left, the media, the public and the world that it was an asinine construct that had no evidence and simply wasn’t true.

Instead of actively coming against this pack of lies, they sat on their hands and let the dumbest narrative ever pressed into American politics fester into something almost half of the country psychotically believes.  They also sat on their hands as the left attacked Trump, his cabinet, and his family about anything and everything.  They watched like sheep as the agenda we voted has been neutered, all the while they, the GOP, were doing nothing, nothing at all.

It’s been a deadly mix of laziness, Stockholm Syndrome, and spineless, unprincipled crap.  Add to that a few more ingredients:  money grubbing from donors (who did not want what their voters wanted), along with the simple faithless actions of a lot of them.  They were hoping against hope that their friends the #NeverTrumps would finally prevail and be able to say they told us so.  Add the renewed iciness of their own base toward their party, and………

You have mixed a toxic drink that could virtually leave the GOP in shambles.

No, most of them don’t know it, they are simply too stupid, spineless, dishonest and money grubbing to understand just how awful they look to their own voters.  They lost the election of 2006 and 2008 for similar reasons, the base simply checked out and stayed home.  Even back then, the bad GOP wasn’t this bad.

At this point, there are only a few ways this can go.  The voters that got excited about Trump and his America First agenda might stay home.  They might try to get rid of party leaders (liars all), taking many of them out through primaries and other party arrangements.  One more possibility:  you could have a wave of resolved anger sweep through the center right voting base.  If it comes to that, the cold civil war could become pretty dang hot.  Whichever way it goes, the GOP will never be the same.

You think I’m advocating violence?   Not at all.  Sorry Charlie, that’s what the Neville Chamberlain Republicans did by signing a peace treaty with the left.  Peace in their time.  Oops, that didn’t end peacefully the first time?

Good grief, the GOP has sat on its hands as the Republic we once knew has descended into mob rule; the things we believed in have been mocked, derided, and called every name in the book.  They virtually looked the other way as one of their own congressmen got shot.   They have given us the equivalent of Jeb Bush for legislators.   The majorities that we voted in are a bunch of mealy mouthed, clueless fools who spent all their money as did Jeb to get three delegates.

GOP:  You promised us an immediate repeal and replacement of Obamacare, and after nine months of absurdities, you not only failed, but you did nothing to discipline those who made it fail.  Paul Ryan is still speaker, McConnell majority leader, the senators who prevented this promise from being enacted were turncoats and received no consequences from their leadership.

Other than ratify some good judges, nothing else has been done by Congress.

The GOP watched the left, through their toady media shills, and their fractured foolishness, take down everything we voted for.

Now the GOP is clucking about a ginned-up narrative concerning Charlottesville. They’re now blaming Trump for telling the truth:  that the violence of the Antifa, and the leftist groups is just as bad as the Nazi skin heads, and just as unforgiveable.   They’re kowtowing like cowards to things that never happened and to made up narratives.  They’re running away because they can’t stand to be called racist.  They’re watching as history is being rewritten, and they’re allowing their base to be tarred as racists, bigots, and Nazis.  Trust me, that will not go well.

It’s never been this bad, because the GOP has never been this bad.  And we now know because Trump inadvertently shined the light of truth on who they really are.  The election of Trump revealed the party of frauds.   It was never his intention, but that’s what has happened.  They have been undressed before the whole world.  They have no clothes.

What is a nation who has been lied to by both parties supposed to do?  What is the base of the GOP going to do?
I don’t know, but I do know I’ve never seen the center right base so disgusted and angry at its own.  GOP:  Trust me, the base hasn’t left Trump, but it has left you.  It’s not official yet, but the avalanche is about to begin.  The anger is going to boil over.   Upon you.    GOP: you’re not going to like it, but you have no one to blame but yourselves.

To the very small list of conservatives that fought the good fight:  I apologize.  But to the rest:  You have become like the salt in the parable.  Good for nothing.

3)10 Statues Liberals Want to Destroy
By Clyde Hughes

Statues and monuments have become the new target of liberals, spurred on by the violence over the removal of a monument to Robert E. Lee on Aug. 12 in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Liberals from around the country are making lists of historical monuments they want destroyed because they might offend someone. Here are 10 statues or kinds of statues that liberals want taken down.
1. Confederate statues in U.S. Capitol – House House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi last week called for the removal of Confederate statues in the Capitol while U.S. Sen. Cory Booker last Wednesday promised legislation that would get rid of them, Politico said.
2. Mount Rushmore – Vice News' Wilbert Cooper called for the removal of Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, which features the likenesses of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and Theodore Roosevelt. He said such monuments could be “incredibly dangerous for democracy, especially when the same ascendant movement that deifies one set of (white) leaders sees people of color as sub-human.”
3. Stone Mountain in Georgia – Last week, in a series of Twitter posts, Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Adams called for the destruction of the Confederate Monument Carving at Stone Mountain. The carving depicts Confederate president Jefferson Davis and generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson.
4. Jefferson Memorial – Al Sharpton, host of the MSNBC show “PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton,” told talk show host Charlie Rose last week that the government should end funding for the memorial honoring Thomas Jefferson because he owned and allegedly had sex with slaves, The Daily Caller said.
5. Albert Pike Statue in Washington, D.C. – Protestors marched on the Albert Pike Memorial across from Judiciary Square last week. Pike, a Confederate general, received a pardon from then President Andrew Johnson and was a leader of the Freemasonry, The Washington Post said.
6. Confederate Statues throughout Virginia – Democratic Gov. Terry McMcAuliffe issued a statement last week calling on the state legislature to “take down these monuments and relocate them to museums or more appropriate settings.” He called the statues a “barrier to progress, inclusion and equality in Virginia …”
7. Confederate Soldiers Monument – Activists in Durham, North Carolina took it upon themselves to destroy the statue in front of the Durham County Courthouse last week, leading to the arrest of eight for various charges, two of them felonies. Rallies called for officials to drop the charges against them, Mother Jones magazine said.
8. Civil War Officer John B. Castleman – More than 150 gathered at the statue in Louisville, Kentucky last Monday calling for the bronze statue of Castleman, which was erected more than 100 years ago in 1913, to be removed, USA Today said.
9. Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument – In Birmingham, Alabama, Mayor William Bell last week ordered that the monument in Linn Park be covered up. City officials started two years ago trying to remove the statue, but the State of Alabama got involved with a lawsuit, CityLab.com said.
10. Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson – Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that he was removing the statues at City University of New York in a Twitter post, saying “New York stands against racism.”

4)From the American Liberty Report

Progressives and math just don’t get along. Maybe this is what happens when you pursue liberal arts and social justice degrees at the exclusion of learning hard science, engineering and other practical skills. Nevertheless, these social justice warriors never seem to run out of steam, and they continue to make baseless demands in order to feel better. In a few short moments, I’ll show you the obvious and mathematically simple errors that completely discredit their most popular platforms.
Housing

Let’s start with a light topic. Progressives love telling everyone how the baby boomers destroyed the housing market. They often explain how minimum wage workers could easily afford a house in the 70s, but because of the 2007 crash, that will never be possible without aggressive minimum wage hikes. Let’s check the math. Minimum wage in the 70s ranged from $1.60 to $2.90 per hour. This led to an average monthly income of $375 for the entire decade. Median housing prices ranged from $23,600 to $62,600. The average APR for a mortgage was right at 10 percent. Put it all together and you get an average monthly mortgage payment of $378 for a median home across the decade. You might notice that this number is greater than the monthly income of $375.
How does today compare? At a minimum wage of $7.25, monthly income is right about $1,200. The median cost of a house across the country is $200,400 and APR is around 3.92 percent. This yields a monthly payment of $948 for a 30-year fixed mortgage. That is notably less than the $1,200 monthly income. It turns out that housing is the most affordable it has ever been.
Socialism

If progressives love anything more than bashing baby boomers, it’s proclaiming socialism as the only hope for the future. One would think that more than a hundred years of global experimentation and recorded history would squash this idea. The mistake in this assumption is that people promoting socialism can do basic math.
In the world today, there are exactly four countries that claim to be socialist to any extent: China, Cuba, Laos and Vietnam. All four of those countries have made dramatic moves away from Marxist economies since the 90s, and every single one has seen economic improvement as a result. The changes in China were so extreme that the global poverty and starvation levels dropped by roughly 30 percent from 1990 to 2007. This is solely based on China finally allowing capitalistic investment. It swiftly created a middle class and brought poverty and starvations to historic lows for the country.
The progressives would counter and point to Scandinavia as sources of successful socialism. While the countries do carry extensive taxes and some aggressive social assistance programs, none of them claim to be socialist. Each country enjoys capitalist enterprise, and the means of production are all privately owned. More importantly, Scandinavia is far from paradise. The region leads the developed world in suicide rates and has the lowest economic mobility of any developed nation.
Health Care

We’ll finish the discussion with the hottest topic of the day. Progressives love Obamacare while simultaneously pushing for a single-payer system. I’ve taken on this argument many times, so I’ll be a bit brief. Obamacare has indisputably increased medical mortality rates and lowered American life expectancy. It increased healthcare demand without adjusting supply. The result has caused more fatal errors and longer wait times. Despite that, the U.S. still leads the world in shortest wait times. In Canada and Sweden (two of the best single-payer systems in existence) wait time mortalities range from five to seven times higher than the U.S. This is because average specialist turnaround times run six months or longer. Back home, we can still see a doctor in two weeks or less.
These are just the most famous examples. As a rule of thumb, any time you hear a progressive argument, you can apply even a little basic math and you’ll see just how wrong they are. For the group that likes to demonize its opposition as anti-science, this consistent failure might seem embarrassing. It would be funny if there weren’t so many of them constantly spouting dangerous ideas. Still, the truth always wins in the end, so you can trust basic math to eventually break the progressives one way or another.
