More of the same:

Gen. Milley EXPOSED Biden’s Lies on Afghanistan Withdrawal

On Tuesday, General Mark Milley (the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff) testified in front of Congress, exposing a score of lies made by Biden. The general narrated the “strategic failure” that the president and his administration faced during the Afghan withdrawal of troops.

Military leadership advised Biden to keep 2,500 troops in Afghanistan, but Biden denies receiving such advice

Gen. Mark Milley finally called the US withdrawal from Afghanistan a “strategic failure.” Joe Biden initially said it was an “extraordinary success,” which is absolutely against Milley’s thesis in Congress.

As Milley presented himself to the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday, the hearing was a complete shock for Democrat leadership, as their lies were exposed one after another.

Mark Milley, alongside Gen. McKenzie, testified they recommended the presence of 2,500 military personnel in Afghanistan. In contrast to this claim, Biden already said earlier in August that he could not recall any such advice.

Gen. McKenzie was the head of the US central command and administered the US withdrawal from Afghanistan. As Republican senators questioned him for his hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan, McKenzie also claimed he was in favor of maintaining a small force of 2,500 troops in Afghanistan.

Although both top generals testified against Biden’s lies in the Senate, Mark Milley refused to call Biden’s statements false directly. Republican Senator Tom Cotton asked Milley whether they conveyed this recommendation directly to the president or not; yet, they beat around the bush while refusing to answer the question.

Senator Dan Sullivan also labeled the withdrawal of U.S. forces as a big “fiasco” generated by strategic failure and yet, no one has been held accountable for it.

However, Gen. McKenzie claimed Gen. Austin’s opinion (which was also along the same lines) was “well heard.” This indicates Biden intentionally ignored the military leadership advice and lied to Americans about it.

It can be noted that the president was very assertive in his claims that no general insisted on keeping the troops in Afghanistan. However, generals’ claims have busted Biden and revealed how he lied.

Mitch McConnell: the withdrawal was a “debacle” and the U.S. got nothing in return

The generals likewise exposed Biden for lying about the presence of Al-Qaeda and other extremist organizations in Afghanistan. Both Generals McKenzie and Austin admitted Afghanistan is still a house for Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations.

Again, this directly contradicts statements made by Biden, claiming these terrorist groups had already been neutralized. The top military leadership also warned the Biden administration of a possible attack by Al-Qaeda and ISIS in the US during the next 12 to 36 months.

Meanwhile, Sen. Mitch McConnell also voiced out his opinion on the Senate floor. McConnell claimed Biden gave our enemies in Afghanistan everything they wanted and the U.S. got nothing in return.

The senator also warned the disastrous withdrawal was a “debacle,” adding that the country is now facing a greater than before threat coming from Afghanistan.

Cash Camps: Financing Detainee Activities in Al-Hol and Roj Camps

By Audrey Alexander

Over two years since the fall of Baghouz, entities managing the detention facilities holding Islamic State-affiliated adults and minors in northeastern Syria face overwhelming challenges in securing this population, particularly alongside people displaced by conflict in the region. Often characterized as wastelands inhabited by a volatile population living in squalid conditions, camps like Al-Hol actually serve as a valuable hub for the region’s violent extremists and criminal networks. Since the international community has not decisively answered calls to remedy the humanitarian and detention crisis involving facilities holding Islamic State detainees, many actors have exploited opportunities afforded by inaction, particularly with regard to financial activity. This dynamic has short-, medium-, and long-term implications for terrorism financing and, more broadly, the region’s stability. The Islamic State, for instance, has leveraged the situation to raise and move funds, build ideological and financial support for the cause, and establish logistical channels that benefit the organization. To explore this phenomenon and inform how stakeholders in the counterterrorism community mitigate the issue, this report uses publicly available information and social media monitoring to trace how funds 1) move into, 2) move around, and 3) move out of two camps holding Islamic State detainees in northeastern Syria.

In short, the report details how individuals, networks, and groups inside and outside Al-Hol and Roj camps raise, use, move, manage, store, and obscure funds for and from alleged Islamic State detainees held in the facilities. The analysis seeks to explain some of the trends and dynamics emerging at each stage. The section about funds going into the facilities discusses notable players raising and moving money for detainees, particularly from abroad, then highlights popular funds transfer methods. The second section describes how and why funds move around the detention facilities, particularly within the camps’ formal and informal economies, the latter of which involves transactions that camp administrators and security do not authorize or oversee. The third section details how funds leave the facilities, including trends like detainees paying smugglers to facilitate their escape, and discusses why payments for such services are detrimental to stability in the region. Ultimately, this report makes the case that funds moving into, around, and out of Al-Hol and Roj camps enable some traditional terrorism financing issues and invite risks to the region by injecting funds that embolden facilitation networks involving violent extremists, criminals, and corrupt officials. Invigorating such networks has notable implications for the region and beyond since numerous entities may ultimately exploit the players and smuggling routes regenerating in Syria today.

After establishing a clearer understanding of financial activity in and around the camps, this report concludes with six policy considerations for players that can help challenge terrorist financing trends in Al-Hol and Roj camps, and thus, dynamics in the surrounding region.

The Combating Terrorism Center is an independent, privately funded, research and educational institution located in the Department of Social Sciences at the United States Military Academy, West Point. The Center is uniquely situated at the nexus of theory and practice, which enables it to serve as a focal point and an independent voice on terrorism and counterterrorism strategy within the government as well as the academic community.

Don't focus on the amount Pelosi and Biden tell you because it costs nothing. What CHUTZPAH!.

When I was in grade school a popular phrase was to call things you thought dumb a "blibbit." By this, for example,  you meant 3 lbs of crap in a two pound sack.

What Biden, Pelosi and radical Democrats, who love spending and wish to transform America, are engaged in is a "blibbit battle."  What they are fighting over is a proposed  $3 1/2 trillion human infrastructure bill which will ultimately cost between $5 and 6 trillion or even more. No one is willing to tell the truth or can because they do not know.  For sure, the cost of anything government does is always higher because politician's  lowball in passing legislation they cannot justify if they told the truth.

In order to save Biden's domestic agenda, Democrats are fighting among themselves to see how much crap they can agree upon and shove into an  undetermined sack. There is a possibility they will agree on something akin to $2 plus trillion, if they agree at all,  so they can declare how much they saved taxpayers.

In essence, regardless upon what they agree is the amount, the truth is the entire effort is still a "blibbit." Why?  Because it is a lot of crap that will exceed the size of the sack no matter what they assert. That said, don't believe the  smell will go away.

Three more worthwhile articles and Merkel's Party goes down in election flames:

Merkel’s Christian Democrats lost their bearings, and voters.

WSJ EDITORIAl:

It’s hard to say whether Germany’s muddled election Sunday had a winner, but it definitely had a loser. The center-right Christian Democrats of departing Chancellor Angela Merkel, in power for 16 years, crashed to their worst electoral result ever. Something more than simple exhaustion with the party’s long tenure is at work.

Not only did Ms. Merkel’s CDU and Bavarian sister party CSU come second with a combined 24.1% vote share behind the Social Democrats (SPD) at 25.7%. The CDU/CSU lost nearly nine percentage points from the last election in 2017. This is a bigger drubbing than the CDU suffered in 1998 when voters ousted Helmut Kohl after 16 years in power. The party’s vote share fell by 6.4 points then, and that was against the backdrop of economic turmoil following reunification.

What explains these insanities that are insults to the American people’s intelligence?

By Victor Davis Hanson, AM GREATNESS

Think for a minute.

When did we become a nation of socialist AOCs wearing “Tax the Rich” dresses to $35,000-a-ticket celebrity galas, without mandatory masks, while being served by masked servants—a now tired script from the Obama birthday bash crowd to the grandees at the Emmys?

When did we discover that we must listen to oppressed billionaire Oprah from her $90 million Montecito estate commiserating with a billionaire Lebron or royal Meghan Markle about the racist white establishment? Is there anyone in the recent Washington intelligence and investigatory hierarchy who has not lied or feigned loss of memory under oath—a low bar that nevertheless excludes, among others, John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Robert Mueller, or Peter Strzok?

Obama’s personal monument sacrifices 800 old growth trees in Chicago park designed by Frederick Law Olmstead

The politically motivated and unprecedented overreaction to a virus with a 99.5% survival rate was launched in March of 2020, thus unleashing what can best be described as a once-in-a-century fiasco. Nineteen months later it is impossible to look at the United States and the world and not conclude that this country and much of the West is in the grip, not of a virus, but of delusional madness and malevolence.

Dear Richard,

Do you remember when we were fighting for toilet paper?

It almost seems a lifetime ago.

And yet, it's only been a little more than a year since our country entered a crisis we could never imagine.

Many people think this was a one-time event that will never happen again.

But the truth is...

The pandemic has only brought to light threats that have been brewing under the surface for years.

And they're not going away.

Did you notice your grocery bill getting higher in the past few months?

That's not a one-off either.

It's all part of a crisis most people would like to ignore. Because it's simply too horrible to imagine.

But a few companies are working on solutions - without anyone knowing what's really going on.

Click here to see which ones will come out as winners... and which ones will be the losers of all this.

Sincerely,
