What Did 2020 Teach Us? Covering Up Hunter. Is The DOJ and FBI Still Corrupt? Re-Making Pinocchio With Schiff.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++What if anything did we learn in a political and social sense in 2020?

I have highlighted some of the more critical.

We should have learned a great deal about ourselves and most of it is disturbing , dangerous and will ultimately, if continued, end the republic we have known .

We learned many of our institutions are led by corrupt people.

We learned our media no longer reports news but are there to entertain and devote themselves to electing  those they favor.

We learned rioting is tolerated by progressive Governors and Mayors who have become dictators who willingly ignore their sworn duty to uphold The Bill of Rights.

We learned laws can be changed on a whim in order to turn political campaigns into opportunities that rig the system.

We learned technology companies have total control over critical freedoms, ie. free speech.

We learned voters are increasingly incapable of an independent mind set.

We learned China remains our greatest threat and have infiltrated/penetrated every facet of our society and those within our society.

We learned external forces and domestic monied radicals have established and are funding entities dedicated to destroying our society through re-education, defunding, turning college campuses into reactionary institutions, elevating racial division  efforts etc.

We learned a few radical rotten apples can control the agenda of a once major party.

We learned America is no longer united, is financially weakened and in decline.

We learned a growling number of clueless are willing to trade capitalism for socialism.

We are learning Joe Biden may enter The Oval Office with no one knowing anything about his connection to China and what Red Clouds may hang over his head.  Talk about air pollution.

As for myself, I learned my pessimism is empirically justified.

Republicans Blast Media Over Hunter Biden Coverup

By TTN Staff

The liberal media participated in an unprecedented blackout when a laptop owned by Hunter Biden uncovered his disturbing overseas business dealings and scandalous activities while his father served as Vice President of the United States to help Joe Biden secure the presidency. While the bombshell reporting from The New York Post should have been on the screens of every American many media outlets chose not to cover the story claiming it was “Russian disinformation.” These same outlets had no problem reporting on the unsubstantiated claims that Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election, a story that was concocted by Hillary Clinton. However, now that the election is over the media is finally reporting on Hunter Biden, the timing couldn’t be better. Republicans are calling out the media for its blatant bias towards Biden as opposed to President Trump.

As noted earlier, I am reading Sidney Powell's book and in it she relates the trial of Senator Stevens who, at the time, was the longest serving Senator. He was accused by the DOJ of using repairs to his home for the purpose of giving a kickback to a constituent from Alaska and not reporting true filings as required by Senate rules..  The government withheld critical information, which eventually caused the dismissal of the suit but only after Stevens had lost his seat causing the Senate majority to pass to Democrats.

I mention this because it shows how disreputable, lying lawyers in the DOJ caused irreversible political harm. The Judge presiding over the case, I believe, was Emmett Sullivan, the same Judge who recently refused to accept the DOJ's dismissal of the Flynn case for much the same judicial reasons, ie. win at ant cost and forget the obligation the Government has to seek justice within the law not in contravention of the law. I posted a previously biting op ed about Judge Sullivan by Kim Strassel.

The DOJ and the FBI need to be totally turned inside out and purified with the most stringent Clorox that can be mustered/applied. Our republic cannot last as long as deception, illegalities and double legal standards are tolerated and protected to walk the halls of these critical institutions. Perhaps Attorney General Barr has not had enough time to clean house and certainly the current FBI director, Wray,  proved an unmitigated disaster appointment and part of that blame can be attributed to Barr's own lethargy.

Perhaps the Durham investigation, if allowed to run full course, will restore some semblance of public confidence in these departments but I seriously doubt Biden or his nominees will be supportive.

There simply is too much inbred corruption in government and the manner in which Congress functions and performs is largely to blame. Far too many members are driven by party loyalty rather than serving the nation's best interests.  Their unbridled spending is and their dilatory methods reflect a disgraceful pattern of public indifference. In essence, we have the best government money can buy yet, the money increase while the results  recede.

GOP SENATOR GIVES BIDEN FAMILY THE BAD NEWS

According to The Daily Wire, Republican Sen. Tom Cotton called for a special counsel to be formed to oversee the Department of Justice’s investigation into President-elect Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden.

“The Biden campaign released details of a tax fraud investigation in Wilmington. I think that was just to show maybe the least damaging part of the investigation,” he said. “If Joe Biden becomes president, then all those prosecutors are in line to be fired next month. If there were ever circumstances that create a conflict of interest and call for a special counsel, that’s here.”

This from one of my disheartened dear friends and fellow memo readers:

People from inside PA have no standing to sue. People from outside PA have no standing to sue. I guess no one can challenge this. I am not a lawyer, but it seems  the contract is thus unenforceable, and the Constitution has been rendered mute, neutered, null and void. If so, good bye, America, land that I loved.

The Democrats seem destined to tyranny, like in antebellum times, like under the Klan, like during the Jim Crow and poll tax era,  like Wallace or the teachers unions standing in the school house doors, etc. Now that elections don’t matter, after more Democrat dominated states are admitted to the alleged union, after Democrats pack the Supreme Court (though the 9 current judges seem pretty well under foot), will tyranny  be upon us irrevocably? Schiff's continued presence further befouls the air of Congress.  The man would be better suited as the lead in a re-make of Pinocchio.

Schiff Refuses To Disclose Why He Withheld Details Of Swalwell’s Relationship With A Chinese Spy From Intel Committee

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff did not respond to The Federalist’s questions about Intelligence Committee member and California Rep. Eric Swalwell’s position on the committee in light of recent news revealing Swalwell’s connections with a suspected Chinese spy.

When asked whether Swalwell’s position on the House Intelligence Committee would be tainted or compromised by his relationship with Christine Fang, a suspected spy for communist China, Swalwell’s office did not reply as of press time. According to a new report by Axios, Fang leveraged her position and connections in California’s Bay Area for years to gather intelligence on Democrat politicians and government officials.

Schiff’s office also did not respond when asked if he previously knew about Swalwell’s involvement with Fang or if he was briefed about Swalwell’s relationship with Fang.

Swalwell also refused to answer The Federalist’s questions about the extent of his relationship with Fang, ignoring allegations from sources directly familiar with the counterintelligence investigation of Fang who told The Federalist that she and Swalwell may have had a sexual relationship.

According to the two sources, federal officials were so concerned about the romantic relationship between a U.S. congressman and a suspected Chinese spy that they even investigated whether Swalwell may have tipped Fang off about the counterintelligence investigation after he was given a defensive briefing on the matter shortly before Fang disappeared from the U.S. in 2015. A senior U.S. intelligence official told The Federalist that investigators only uncovered limited circumstantial evidence that Swalwell may have tipped Fang off after he was warned of her connections to Chinese intelligence.

According to Axios, Fang raised money and bundled donors for Swalwell, and even placed an intern in the congressman’s Washington’s D.C. office.

When contacted by The Federalist, Swalwell’s office pointed to the generalized statement they gave Axios.

“Rep. Swalwell, long ago, provided information about this person — whom he met more than eight years ago, and whom he hasn’t seen in nearly six years — to the FBI. To protect information that might be classified, he will not participate in your story,” Swalwell’s office said.

Jordan Davidson is a staff writer at The Federalist. She graduated from Baylor University where she majored in political science and minored in journalism.
