More Downhill So Far.

Which is preferable?  Handouts, entitlements or parental lessons?

In the previous memo entitled; "This Is Where We Are," I stopped with President Johnson and did not comment on Socialism and its relationship to the Carter, Clinton and Obama's presidencies.

Clinton, actually, was a good president because he pulled back, listened to and worked with Newt and they accomplished a great deal.  They even balanced the budget and had Wall Street worried there may not be enough Government Bonds available for purchase.

Though I thought "Ole" Bill was a disgrace, personally, I can separate his behaviour from his achievements, unlike progressives, radicals and Trump haters who have a goal of destroying character and thus, their attacks on Kavanaugh and Trump.

Trump has some personal attributes that are questionable and may be un-redeeming  but his accomplishments, to date, are commendable.  As for Kavanaugh, his academic accomplishments are also worthy and his record as a judge gained him the highest possible rating from the ABA.

When it comes to his character, in order to defeat him, the progressives have engaged in an orchestrated effort to destroy his character.  If they cannot prevent him from assuming a seat on The SCOTUS at least they have damaged him for life and put in question his decisions and everything he does as a Justice and/or judge.

In the revelations about Kavanaugh, Justice Thomas' travails have been repeatedly shown, reminding us that he will never escape the "bad mouth" efforts of the progressives who sought to destroy his character as they did with Judge Bork.

I make no mention of Carter because just about everything he did marked his presidency as failed.

As for Obama, I do not believe he furthered our embrace of socialism as much as I believe he furthered our dance with radicalism.  Everything he did, every speech he made, every avoidance of the constitution he engaged in were directly out of Alinsky's playbook and reflected his youthful associations and conflicted upbringing. Obama's own failed presidency paved the way for Trump but because progressives will never accept his legitimacy they have gone overboard in their effort, not only to destroy him, but also to place every roadblock in his way as evidenced by what they are doing to Kavanaugh. Unlike myself, they will not separate his personality from his record because it is the peg on which they hang their hatred and which spurs them forward.

In their effort to destroy Kavanaugh, Democrats engaged in effective  hypocrisy and their questioning was pure soft ball and sui-generous praise of Ms Ford's courageousness etc.  Their maudlin appeal to the emotions of America, frankly made me nauseous but, as I said, was effective.  Partly because they had orchestrated their questioning and kept repeating the same alleged Republican failures to deny Ms Ford her rights and because Ms Ford played the role of "Pitiful Pearl"  beautifully.

The Republicans constructed a 5 minute hearing method that totally worked to their disadvantage and the prosecutor they selected was either ham strung by the jerky format or poorly suited by the challenge.

Once again Ms Ford may be telling the truth or she may be so anti-Trump that she is convinced her claims are factual when in fact they may not be and she has willingly become a manipulated feminist.

In any event, at this point Kavanaugh is toast, Republicans will lose a great deal of support because of  their ineptitude and, worst of all ,America will have been shown what a farce  we have allowed ourselves to become.
