1)Obama Versus Obama: Part IV
During the same week when the American ambassador to Libya was murdered and his dead body dragged through the streets by celebrating mobs, the President of the United States found time to go on the David Letterman show to demonstrate his sense of humor and how cool he is.
But Barack Obama did not have time to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the leader of a nation repeatedly threatened with annihilation by Iranian leaders, who are working feverishly toward the creation of nuclear bombs.
This was an extraordinary thing in itself, something that probably no other President of the United States could have gotten away with, without raising a firestorm of criticisms and denunciations. But much of the media sees no evil, hears no evil and speaks no evil when it comes to Barack Obama -- especially during an election year.
Nor was this public rebuff of a publicly requested meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu unique in its expression of disrespect, if not contempt, for both the man and his country. Despite his glowing assertions of his commitment to Israel, especially in speeches to American Jewish groups, Barack Obama has been working against Israel's interests from his first day in the White House. As in many other contexts, Barack Obama 1 speaks but Barack Obama 2 acts -- often in the opposite direction.
The vision in which Obama has been steeped is one in which white Western nations have oppressed and exploited non-white, non-Western nations, becoming rich and arrogant at other people's expense. It is a vision that calls out, not for justice, but for payback.
When Jeremiah Wright said, "white folks' greed runs a world in need" -- and Obama, by his own account, was moved to tears -- this captured in a few melodramatic words what a whole series of Obama's mentors and allies had been saying for decades. No wonder it resonated with him.
Despite hopes that Barack Obama's election as President of the United States would mark the beginning of a post-racial era in America, no hope was ever so completely doomed from the outset. Anyone who looks beyond Obama's soothing words about race to his record, from his joining self-segregated black students in college to his appointing Al Sharpton as a White House adviser, can see the contrast between rhetoric and reality.
Barack Obama is not the first leader of a nation whose actions reflected some half-baked vision, enveloped in lofty rhetoric and spiced with a huge dose of ego. Nor would he be the first such leader to steer his nation into a historic catastrophe.
In Barack Obama's case, the potential for catastrophe is international in scope, and perhaps irretrievable in its consequences, as he stalls with feckless gestures as terrorist-sponsoring Iran moves toward the production of nuclear bombs.
The rhetoric of Obama 1 says that he will protect Israel but the actions of Obama 2 have in fact protected Iran from an Israeli attack on its nuclear facilities -- until now it is questionable whether Iran's deeply buried nuclear facilities can be destroyed by the Israelis.
Those deeply buried facilities took time to build, and Obama's policies gave them that time, with his lackadaisical approach of seeking United Nations resolutions and international sanctions that never had any serious chance of stopping Iran's movement toward becoming a nuclear power. And Barack Obama had to know that.
In March, "Foreign Policy" magazine reported that "several high-level sources" in the Obama administration had revealed Israel's secret relationship with Azerbaijan, where Israeli planes could refuel to or from an air strike against Iran's nuclear facilities.
The administration feared "the risks of an Israeli strike on Iran," according to these "high-level sources." Apparently the risks of an Iranian nuclear strike on Israel are not so much feared.
This leak was one of the historic and unconscionable betrayals of an ally whose very existence is threatened. But the media still saw no evil, heard no evil and spoke no evil.
The only question now is whether the American voters will wake up before it is too late -- not just for Israel, but for America.

5)Barack Obama: Slacker-in-Chief
He has higher priorities than attending to domestic and foreign policy.
According to GAI’s data, which was culled from the official White House calendar and Politico’s news coverage of that schedule, Obama chose to skip his PDBs and, instead, simply read his briefing book. This is a bit like studying one’s chest X-rays at home, having spurned a radiologist’s offer to interpret them and answer pertinent questions. In this sense, Obama quietly reviewed his national-security X-rays alone during 56.2 percent of the time GAI analyzed. In 2011, Obama missed 61.6 percent of his PDBs.

A university president who wasn't run by the faculty
John R. Silber, who died Thursday, was the William Tecumseh Sherman of the culture wars. Given the job in 1971 of reforming Boston University, Silber took few prisoners and won his corner of the war. He stayed the course and personally rebuilt Boston University into a jewel of academia.
To those who wonder if a former university president can be likened to a Civil War general, please focus on Silber's start date—1971. Those years were surely the most unsettled time in the modern history of U.S. academia. The famous student protest movement—occupying university offices with "non-negotiable demands"—had occurred already at Columbia, Berkeley, Cornell and elsewhere. Academics in those years took a back seat to constant political activism.
Amid this tumult, the trustees of Boston University invited John Silber, then at the University of Texas, to apply for their presidency. In his job interview, he ripped into the school's faculty, its buildings and direction. They hired him.
The rest is well-known history because in his march to revive an academic center in the liberal northeast, Silber became a national lightning rod in the controversies over what came to be called "political correctness." John Silber was not politically correct. And he didn't much care who that upset. He liked to argue that he was the true liberal. A Yale-trained philosopher whose specialty was Immanuel Kant, Silber demanded intellectual rigor and excellence from everyone around him, even, to their shock, tenured faculty.
Enraged students and faculty called him a dictator. As recently as 1994, the campus's International Socialist Club was protesting "John Silber's repression of students, faculty and staff on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation and progressive political views." To their credit, the university's trustees stood by him and his goals, itself a rarity.
It's doubtful any university president today could duplicate Silber's run from 1971 to 1996, with a leave in 1990 to run unsuccessfully for Massachusetts governor as a Democrat, losing to Republican William Weld. John Silber rebuilt the school's physical plant, greatly enlarged its endowment and research grants, and gave students and their parents that increasingly rare thing in higher education today—their money's worth.

The unprecedented belt-tightening known as the fiscal cliff that looms over the United States could, at the very least, cut world growth in half in 2013, Fitch Ratings said on Thursday.
The fiscal cliff a double whammy of tax increases and spending cuts totaling about $600 billion, could tip the United States and possibly the world into recession, Fitch said.
"The U.S. fiscal cliff represents the single biggest near-term threat to a global economic recovery," the ratings agency said a research note released in London.
Most of the measures scheduled to take effect at the start of 2013 would reduce U.S. growth by $800 billion, or 5 percent, on an annualized basis, Fitch said, citing the U.S. Congressional Budget Office.
Fitch said a full-scale fiscal tightening was not the most likely scenario. The scale and speed of this action would probably push the U.S. economy into an avoidable recession, slicing about two percentage points off the firm's growth forecast of 2.3 percent next year.
"We therefore think the cuts will be pared back to a more manageable 1.5 percent of GDP," Fitch said.
A U.S. fiscal shock would be exported to the rest of the world via a sharply weaker U.S. dollar and asset prices, lower U.S. price and wage inflation and heightened risk of deflation, and the impact on commodity prices, Fitch warned.
The size and timing of the shock would be different for different countries, Fitch warned.
"Export-orientated countries like China and Japan would experience the steepest falls in GDP in 2013. Growth would then resume at baseline rates, but at a lower level. Commodity exporters like Russia and Brazil would be less affected in 2013, but the effects would be felt into 2014," Fitch said.
Meanwhile, top U.S. executives have less confidence in the business outlook now than at any time in the past three years and a key reason is fear of gridlock in Washington over the fiscal deficit and tax policy.
The uncertainty, coupled with slowing demand in Asia and Europe, is forcing corporate leaders to postpone decisions on major investments and hiring, and hurting sales of everything from textbooks to telephone lines.
"If we don't deal with the fiscal cliff and don't deal with predictability on taxes for both citizens and business, with the rest of the world in a struggling state, this is really bad for us," John Chambers, CEO of network equipment maker Cisco Systems Inc. told Reuters.
Some 34 percent of U.S. CEOs plan to cut jobs in the United States over the next six months, up from 20 percent a quarter ago, according to a Business Roundtable survey released on Wednesday. Only 30 percent plan to raise capital spending, compared with 43 percent previously.
The group's index of CEO confidence fell to its lowest point since the third quarter of 2009, when the United States had just emerged from its worst recession in 80 years.

5)Barack Obama: Slacker-in-Chief
He has higher priorities than attending to domestic and foreign policy.
Concerning the fun parts of his job, Barack Obama resembles the Energizer Bunny. If there are crowds to wow, entertainers to schmooze, or donors to pitch, Obama is Johnny on the Spot. Too bad his sparks stop flying when it comes time for the serious heavy lifting of the presidency.
This phenomenon’s most chilling example involves Obama’s national-security-related Presidential Daily Brief (PDB). As the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) calculated, and Washington Postcolumnist Marc Thiessen first reported, Obama attended only 43.8 percent of his PDBs between January 23, 2009 (three days after his inauguration), and May 31, 2012. Available nearly every day, the PDB allows the commander-in-chief to hear directly from top intelligence professionals about the latest threats to U.S. safety. These experts are on hand to answer questions, hear suggestions, and otherwise help Obama foil America’s enemies.
But Obama has had higher priorities.

Obama skipped his PDBs between September 5 and 11, the entire week before the American consulate in Benghazi suffered an Islamic terror attack that killed U.S. ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, technical officer Sean Smith, and former Navy SEALsGlen Doherty and Tyrone Woods. Who knows if a briefer’s classified utterance, or a particularly astute question from Obama, might have triggered tighter security in Benghazi and perhaps prevented the murders of four Americans?
Even worse, as Thiessen reports, Obama postponed and eventually skipped his PDB on the day after these planned and deliberate assassinations. This liberated Obama for a truly indispensable responsibility that day. As American embassies burned brightly throughout the Islamic world, Obama jetted off on Air Force One for a campaign fundraiser in America’s least solemn city — Las Vegas.
At last, three days after the Benghazi bloodshed, and nine days after his last PDB, September 14’s White House schedule shows Obama sitting still for a proper briefing. Perhaps the scrutiny of Thiessen and other critics finally has inspired Obama to attend his PDBs with the regularity of his predecessors.
Obama this week met with exactly zero world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, not least of them Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who wants to stop Iran from redecorating Jerusalem and Tel Aviv with mushroom clouds. Obama found time, however, to serve as “eye candy” for Whoopi Goldberg and the cast of The View.
Obama has shirked his domestic obligations, too. He reportedly has held just two Cabinet meetings this year — on January 31 and July 26. While claiming to be totally focused on reducing naggingly high unemployment, Obama has not met with his Jobs Council since January. White House press secretary Jay Carney explained, “The president’s obviously got a lot on his plate.” This has included a $38,000-per-plate fundraiser at the Manhattan home of actress Sarah Jessica Parker and golf, of which Obama has enjoyed some 104 rounds as president.
Obama’s dereliction of duty would be bad enough if he were a latter-day Eisenhower: a well-respected, perhaps feared, world leader enjoying prosperity at home and peace (or at least a manageable Cold War) overseas. Instead, Obama grows increasingly comical, the domestic economy languishes, and the American flag has become an alternative fuel source across the Middle East. Nonetheless, Ike Jr. parties like it’s 1959.
Perhaps Obama has devolved from president to slacker-in-chief in an elaborate display of empathy for America’s 12.5 million unemployed. With so many citizens not working, Barack Obama may reckon, why should he?

The following is in simple language that everyone can understand, not the gibberish that our government keeps telling people.

Barack Hussein Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. On the
contrary, he is brilliant. He knows exactly what hes doing. He is
purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy to create systemic failure,
economic crisis and social chaos thereby destroying capitalism and our
country from within.
He is a devout Muslim; do not be fooled. Look at his czars...
Anti-business… anti-American. As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from
day one, Barack Hussein Obama is following the plan of Cloward & Piven,
two professors at Columbia University... they outlined a plan to
socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending
and entitlement demands.
Add up the clues below. Taken individually they're alarming. Taken as a
whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United
States into a Socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that
desperately needs government for survival... And can be counted on to
always vote for even bigger government. Why not? They have no
responsibility to pay for it.
Universal Health Care:
The Health Care bill has very little to do with healthcare. It has
everything to do with unionizing millions of hospital and healthcare
workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will
join government employee unions). Obama doesnt care that giving free
healthcare to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national
debt. What he does care about is that it cements the dependence of
those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who but a
socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in the
middle of a depression?
Cap and Trade:
Like healthcare legislation having nothing to do with healthcare, Cap
and Trade has nothing to do with global warming. It has everything to
do with redistribution of income, government control of the economy and
a criminal payoff to Obamas biggest contributors. Those powerful and
wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and
CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants. They
will kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to
Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that
all the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and
businesses helps Obama spread the wealth around.
Making Puerto Rico a state:
Whos asking for a 51st state? Whos asking for millions of new welfare
recipients and government entitlement addicts in the middle of a
depression? Certainly not American taxpayers! But this has been Barack
Hussein Obamas plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat
senators, five Democrat congressmen and a million loyal Democratic
voters who are dependent on big government.
(This will tip the balance of those living off the government to more
than those who must pay for it; and were done for.)
Legalize 12 million illegal Mexican immigrants:
Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free healthcare
alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt America. But it adds 12
million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support
big government. Add another few trillion dollars in welfare, aid to
dependent children, food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits
for the poor, and eventually Social Security.

Stimulus and bailouts.
Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors,
organizations (ACORN), and unions -- including billions of dollars to
save or create jobs of government employees across the country. It went
to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union
dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after
giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125
billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues).
All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their
bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America. The country
goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the
Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful.
The ends justify the means. Raise taxes on small business owners,
high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only
the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish
success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote
for Obama).
Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the
government. Barack Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve
his political opposition. With the acts outlined above, Barack Hussein
Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding
constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged
class of public employees who work for big government; and a government
dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as
socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.
