The J6 Farce. Review Of Ga. District Race Results. Twin Issues. Drowning In Own Verbosity. Iran The Gordian Knot. Green Blood.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Witch Hunt will eventually haunt thirsty Democrats seeking scalps.

In pursuit of some rabble rousers this vicious committee violated a lot of people's constitutional right's and jailed and retained them in jail and further deprived them of their freedoms.  The blood sucking committee members are the ones who committed a true travesty.

They were driven by Pelosi to find guilt and the evidence was thin ice.

Not defending what took place, just more attacks based on politics, pin the tail antics but not factually substantive.

Oh well another day in the muck and mire shenanigans by Congress to nail the elusive Trump.

Pelosi does not believe "deplorables" are smart enough to see through her kangaroo court where there is no rebuttal of witnesses, no questions asked regarding evidence, witnesses all blatantly one sided and two stooges from Republican ranks given prominent billing. If this is a democratic hearing it outdoes anything even the Chinese are capable of doing.

Pelosi, in her zeal to take attention away from Dufus' failures has created a farce which might actually hurt her and the radical Democrat Party come mid-terms.

January 6 Witch Hunt Hits a Big Stumbling Block

The January 6 Select Committee wants to throw the full weight of the law against those who took part in the protests last year.

Even more, they want to peg-top Trump administration officials and Trump himself for allegedly wanting an “insurrection” of the US government.

It’s unclear how unarmed protesters shouting in a government building would topple the US government, but that’s the argument.

If this is true, then surely very serious charges will be laid, but that’s now hitting a big and humiliating roadblock.

Truth Leaks

The truth about the committee and its tough talk leaked last week; the head of it, Congressman Bennie Thompson, said they wouldn’t be dropping criminal referrals to the DOJ.

Liz Cheney immediately panicked, tweeting out this wasn’t for sure and they still might. The rest of the committee mostly waited to see what was going on.

A further statement was put out to fake news CNN, saying a bunch of word salad which amounted to declaring maybe they would still pass criminal referrals on to DOJ.

Thompson was likely just trying to shut down the endless speculation and get this drama to start winding down. However,  true blue Democrat believers are furious about the idea they still will fail to hit Trump or his top staff with real charges.

The thing that makes this even more bizarre is giving a criminal referral to DOJ is basically an opinion. It holds no actual convictive power.

It’s still just about powering the far-left media machine and hyping up this whole January 6 storyline.

Georgia political district race reviews:

Georgia's Runoffs: Some Humid Takes

BY CHRIS QUEEN

Georgia held its primary runoff elections on the first day of summer. The South is already in the midst of an oppressive heatwave, but, as they always say, “It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.”

In the spirit of that well-worn cliché, here are some humid takes on Tuesday night’s runoffs. Besides, it’s hot enough down here without adding hot takes.

May’s primaries didn’t leave too many Georgians with runoffs, but in a few districts, Republican candidates squared off. Here’s the lay of the land in those districts and how the runoffs played out.

2nd Congressional District

This is the race I know the least about because it’s in the southwestern part of the state. It was also the tightest race among the Republican runoffs. Attorney Chris West and former U.S. Army captain Jeremy Hunt faced off in this runoff, with West eking out a win with 51.33% of the vote.

The trouble in this race is that the winner will face Rep. Sanford Bishop, a Democrat who has served the district for almost 30 years. The 2nd district has been solidly blue for generations, electing only Democrats to Congress since 1875. It may take a miracle for West to defeat Bishop in November, but most of the predictions only show this district as “leans Democrat” or “likely Democrat,” while RealClearPolitics calls it a tossup district.

6th Congressional District

The 6th district brought us solid Republican representatives like Newt Gingrich, Karen Handel, and the late Johnny Isakson. However, this suburban Atlanta district has trended blue in recent years. Georgia’s General Assembly redrew the district to make it more friendly to the GOP. The 6th district has also become an open seat, as incumbent Rep. Lucy McBath has moved over to the bluer 7th district.

The runoff featured Rich McCormick, a solidly conservative Marine and physician with a fascinating story (he’s an alumnus of HBCU Morehouse College, even though he’s white) who lost the race in the 7th district in 2020, going up against Jake Evans, the former chairman of the Georgia Ethics Commission.

Evans boasted of his Trump endorsement and sent constant emails to people outside his district (I can vouch for this fact), but he made the runoff unnecessarily nasty, lobbing ridiculous claims that McCormick is a “RINO.” The voters in the district have seen otherwise, and McCormick handily won just over two-thirds of the vote. He’ll face Democratic nominee Bob Christian in a race where all the indicators predict that the seat will easily flip from blue to red.

7th Congressional District

As I noted earlier, Rep. Lucy McBath moved from the freshly redrawn 6th district next door to the 7th district, which was one of a handful of districts the state’s Republican leaders left blue as a bone to throw to Democrats. McBath has built her entire political career on the fact that her son died of a gunshot wound, and gun control has been one of her pet issues.

The GOP race featured a group of relative newcomers to politics, including some guy named YG Nyghtstorm (yes, his name really does sound like an ’80s funk band) who came in last place. In the runoff, telecommunications director Michael Corbin faced off against businessman Mark Gonsalves, who won with a shade over two-thirds of the vote.

All the indicators have this district as a solidly blue seat, so unless something wild happens, McBath should have an easy general election.

10th Congressional District

Full disclosure: the 10th district is where I live, so I know more about what goes on here than anywhere else. Rep. Jody Hice abandoned the seat in his quixotic bid to become Georgia’s Secretary of State, leaving the door wide open to a large field of candidates.

In the first round of the primary, it seemed like there were 1,400 people running, but really there were only eight candidates. In the end, it came down to Mike Collins, a trucking company owner who’s the son of former Rep. Mac Collins, and Vernon Jones, former state representative and CEO of koo-koo crazy DeKalb County, who was a Democrat until just two years ago.

Here’s my Vernon Jones rant. There’s a Bible verse that says that churches shouldn’t let a recent convert become a leader, and I believe the same principle should apply to politics. Jones has been a Republican for less than two years, and he only changed parties because he desperately wanted a Trump endorsement. He ran for governor, and when Trump refused to endorse him there, he dropped out and ran in the 10th district.

Jones spent eight years leading one of Georgia’s most radically left-wing counties and represented it in the General Assembly after that, during which time he took far-left positions on issues like abortion and racial quotas. I don’t know what Jones did to pull the wool over the eyes of Trump and his people, but somehow he managed to fool them into thinking he’s a conservative.

Thank God the people of my home district saw through Jones and his carpetbagging ways and instead chose Collins. I met Collins in person on Monday, and he impressed me quite a bit. I’m looking forward to having him represent me on Capitol Hill.

The 10th district was the only district where there were runoffs for both parties. I honestly hadn’t heard of any of the Democrats but two: somebody named Jessica Fore, and that’s only because I saw one of her Facebook ads, and Tabitha Johnson-Green. Johnson-Green won her runoff, and she’ll be the Democrats’ sacrificial lamb for the third consecutive election in a November race where all the indicators show a “safe” or “solid” GOP win.

Other Races

The 1st district in the southeastern part of the state featured a Democratic runoff between attorney Wade Herring and businesswoman Joyce Griggs, who carried the endorsement of Democrats for Life. Herring eked out a win and will face off against incumbent Republican Rep. Buddy Carter in a district that’s solidly red.

There were also some Democrat runoffs in statewide races, and zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Sorry, I lost interest in the races the Dems will lose.

Analysis (or the really humid takes)

You’re going to hear people offer takes on Georgia’s runoffs and say that they were a referendum on Trump or a validation of this factor or that issue, but it’s all hogwash.

At the end of the day — pretty much literally — Georgia voters chose the people they think will do the best job representing their districts. You’ve heard that old saw that “all politics is local,” and in the case of the 2022 midterm election runoffs, that’s nearly 100% true.

Bring on November! I predict that Georgia’s Republican candidates are in for some tough fights, but most of them will emerge victorious.

What Do ‘Men Give Birth’ and ‘Defund the Police’ Have in Common? By Dennis Prager

Posted ByRuth King

Unless you are brainwashed, you regard the statements “men give birth” and “defund the police” as absurd.

One is,  the Left seeks to tear down every normative institution. If men give birth, “man” and “woman” no longer mean anything. “Men give birth” means the end of the male-female distinction, the most basic distinction in the human race. Racial distinctions pale in comparison. So do national distinctions.

Marxists support the obliteration of the male-female distinction because the only distinction that matters to Marxists is class.

The other explanation is the endgame of leftism is chaos. It is related to the first explanation, since the obliteration of all distinctions is chaos. Distinctions mean order. Having no distinctions means chaos.

I came to realize the significance of distinctions when writing my commentary on the first five books of the Bible (“The Rational Bible”). The Bible’s moral order is dependent on distinctions. Among them are:

Man and G od

Good and evil

Human and animal

Distinctions are so important to the Judeo-Christian moral order and weltanschauung that making distinctions is what G od did for the Six Days. While they are known as the Six Days of Creation, the fact is that after creating the “heavens and the earth,” G od does little creating. After Genesis 1:1 the only things G od creates are the animals listed in 1:21 and the human being (1:27).

So, then, what did G od do for the remainder of the Six Days? He created order out of chaos.

That’s why the second verse of Genesis may well be the second-most important verse in the Bible (Genesis 1:1 is the most important because if you don’t accept its premise, none of what follows matters): “And all was null and void,” meaning all was chaos.

Chaos is the natural state of the world. The transformation of chaos into order necessitated G od.

Order is composed of distinctions. Natural order was dependent on the distinction between night and day and land and sea, and moral and social order was dependent upon the distinctions listed above. And while they are all dependent upon G od, the Bible describes only one of them as “created” by G od — the human being as male and female.

The Left seeks to obliterate these biblical distinctions:

The Left denies the distinction between man and G od. As Marx said, “Man is G od.” The idea that there is a transcendent Being to which man owes moral obedience is anathema to the Left. Man is to answer only to himself (and ultimately to a left-wing state).

The Left denies the distinction between good and evil. On the Left, there is no objective morality. Good and evil are subjective, determined by the individual and the community.

The Left denies the distinction between human and animal. According to the largest animal rights organization, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), for example, there is no moral difference between a chicken and a human being. They are equally valuable — so much so that, according to PETA, there is no moral difference between a barbecued chicken in America and a cremated Jew in the Holocaust.

The Left denies the difference between the beautiful and the ugly in art. That explains the ugly music and architecture and the meaningless art the art world, led by the Left, has produced for a century.

And now the Left denies the difference between man and woman.

What is this all about? It is all about rejecting the divine order which made civilization possible and returning to chaos. That why “men give birth” is related to “defund the police.” Both lead to chaos.

If you ask those who claim that men give birth or who seek to defund the police, “Do you believe in chaos?” most won’t know what you’re talking about. On a conscious level, chaos is not what the Left seeks.

But it is what the Left creates. The war against Western civilization is a war against distinctions and order. That’s why the Left loathes talk about Judeo-Christian and biblical values. These values represent the divine moral and social distinctions and subsequent order that constitute Western civilization.

That’s why “men give birth” and “defund the police” are related. Both represent disorder.

Biden, as with Obama, is a rush to judgement president. Their bias drove both to wrong conclusions leaving egg on their faces.  But, as my wife says, who cares. Words coming from politicians are rarely believed and yet they keep on talking and drowning themselves in verbosity.

Oath Keepers Founder Says January 6 Committee Is Lying to the Country

The House committee investigating the events of January 6 is lying to the American people and presenting manipulated evidence, according to the founder of one of the groups present that day.

Stewart Rhodes, founder of the pro-Constitution Oath Keepers group, was jailed earlier this year for his connection to the events at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Now, Rhodes is claiming the committee, in charge of investigating Jan. 6, is deliberately producing a false picture of what happened that day.

“It’s a show trial,” he said in an interview from his jail cell. “It’s a show trial running parallel to the DOJ running show trial on myself and others to do the same thing. To build a fake case, a fake conspiracy with Trump at the head.”

Last week the committee publicly presented footage from British filmmaker Nick Quested, but edited the footage to remove the video he had captured of Ashli Babbitt and Rosanne Boyland. Babbitt and Boyland were both killed by Capitol Hill Police on Jan. 6.

In his interview, Rhodes warned it wouldn’t be the last time opponents of former President Trump manipulated the facts to fit their agenda.

“And then you have this January 6 committee — a show trial with all the twisted presentation of fake evidence. And all of this is a build-up to indict Trump,” he said. “And when they do that, they’re going to create fabricated evidence and pressure someone to test the lie.”

The House committee investigating the events of Jan. 6 has been widely panned for being a partisan group with a blatant anti-Trump bias. The nine-member committee is composed of seven Democrats and only two Republicans, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL).

Both Cheney and Kinzinger voted to impeach former President Trump.

A majority of Americans believe the January 6 committee is biased. In a poll taken last August, 58% of respondents said they believed the committee organized by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was biased. Only 42% believe the committee was being operated fairly.

Border Patrol chiefs under three presidents warn Biden on 'whipping' discipline

EXCLUSIVE — The top U.S. Border Patrol officials from the Bush, Obama, and Trump administrations are warning the Biden administration against disciplining agents whom it investigated for "whipping" Haitian migrants in Del Rio, Texas, last September, the Washington Examiner has learned.

Four national Border Patrol chiefs and five other top-ranking officials who served under the previous three presidents on Tuesday sent a letter, obtained exclusively by the Washington Examiner, to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in which they shared serious concerns about a report that DHS agency Customs and Border Protection is planning to punish agents involved in the incident despite outcry that the agents are not guilty of any wrongdoing. The letter is significant because it is from nonpartisan career officials, not political nominees or politicians.

"We collectively believe and point out that the statements made by the President and Vice President predictively prejudged the desired outcome of the investigation and may therefore influence the case. Stating outright that there will be consequences presumes the result of an investigation," the letter states. "We ask that you and the deciding official ensure a fair and impartial review of the facts as U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) moves through this process."

The letter comes one week after sources told the Washington Examiner that CBP investigators within its Office of Professional Responsibility planned to level “administrative violations" against federal agents who appeared to whip Haitian migrants crossing the Rio Grande.

CARTELS SMUGGLE MIGRANTS LEFT BEHIND FROM LARGEST-EVER CARAVAN

In the days after the incident, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris publicly denounced the agents, which the former Border Patrol officials said is likely adding pressure to investigators, who may fear reaching a different conclusion than Biden's and Harris's statements.

“Of course I take responsibility. I’m president," Biden said on Sept. 24, 2021, to reporters. "But it was horrible what — to see, as you saw — to see people treated like they did: horses nearly running them over and people being strapped. It’s outrageous. I promise you, those people will pay. They will be — an investigation is underway now, and there will be consequences. There will be consequences. It’s an embarrassment. But beyond an embarrassment, it’s dangerous; it’s wrong. It sends the wrong message around the world. It sends the wrong message at home. It’s simply not who we are.”

Harris told The View on Sept. 25, 2021, that the photos "invoked images of some of the worst moments of our history, where that kind of behavior has been used against the indigenous people of our country, it has been used against African Americans during times of slavery."

The photographer who captured the incident said the photos were "misconstrued" and that he had not witnessed agents "whip" anyone.

The administration had promised a quick review of the incident last fall but has not issued a conclusion in nearly nine months. The Border Patrol union has stated that agents are not issued whips and that the agents had twirled their reins between the horse and migrants in an effort to prevent a collision as men tried to run up the riverbank past law enforcement.

The former national chiefs who signed the letter are David Aguilar, Michael Fisher, Ronald Vitiello, and Rodney Scott. The other five signers, chief patrol agents who oversaw various regions of the northern and southern borders, are Robert Harris, Anthony Porvaznik, Paul Beeson, Jesse Shaw, and John Pfeifer.

Today I listened to Behnam Ben Taleblu, a Senior Fellow at Foundation for Defense of Democracy. He gave his views of what is going on with Iran.

Biden's sporadic sanctions are not working.

Biden perpetuates the myth the talks are not failing.

Iran continues it's violations.

a) more nuclear fuel created

b) building new underground facility.

c) have turned off U.N cameras.

d) repeated their intention to destroy Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Iran is keenly watching any rift in U.S-Israel relationship

Iran continues to jerk Biden around with their floating deal self-serving proposals

By maneuvering U.S into a corner that becomes Iran's own Iron Dome.

Frankly, I learned nothing new except Taleblu is obviously bright, articulate and has no answers to this Gordian Knot.

It always boils down to whether America is weak or strong and lamentably we generally fear being strong because it could lead to what eventually comes to be just sooner and often carries negative political consequences in the meantime.

Fed. Chairman, Powell, was interviewed today and acknowledged Fed actions could push the economy into a recession.

I am not a sophisticated thinker. Neither do I consider myself an elitist. I am not dumb but neither am I brilliant.  I see things through a prism that starts with how would a family respond to a problem.

I do not buy the new monetary concept that pouring money on a pyre will put out the flames. I am old school and believe Adam Smith, whose name was simple, had some sound but simple ideas.

When discussion of a problem involves government the discussion seldom asks "well how would a family address the issue?" and "how would they try and solve the problem." Government is simply more people. Logic does not change necessarily because of mass. Families who overspend eventually create the same problems when government overspends.  Mother Hubbard learned that when the cupboard became bare.

You cannot hide from the problem by doing more of the same thing.  That is the definition of insanity and is what modern monetary policy seems to be and because you put lipstick on a pig it does not create a horse.

The Fed only has a few tools available and is like a lawyer whose client goes wild and then lays the problem in the lawyer's lap. Congress created The Fed so they could blame another entity for their blatant fiscal/monetary irresponsibility. The Fed is their piñata as Putin is Biden's.

Apparently, this Fed decided to respond to COVID by printing money and buying bonds to create liquidity and thus, keep the economy afloat. The elites call that QE or quantitative easing. Firemen call that hosing the flames, in putting out fires . Firemen do a lot of damage but have few choices.

Timing also becomes a critical factor. Wait too long to reverse course and you might do more damage than necessary and increase the mopping up time (substitute soft landing.)

It is comparably possible, The Fed could be late to begin and even overstay with the solution. The answer will come in time. We just do not know the degree of damage until it is over. Uncertainty drives investors nuts and that is what volatility is all about.

I have no crystal ball but history suggests there seldom are soft landings and this time around The Democrats seem to have created a new set of problems. They took an otherwise  decent economy that was producing solid results, ie. strong employment, yet mild inflation and turned the energy spigots off and whoop dee doo, inflation shot up, a pandemic hit, a war started that impacted commodities at a time when there was a supply chain /delivery issue because of strong demand and just in time delivery kept inventory costs down. leading to a delivery bottleneck.

Leading from weakness is not a good strategy but Democrats love spending money in order to help the little guy who can't afford the resulting price increases so The Fed, out of necessity, steps in raises the cost of money which results in a slowing economic picture and puts jobs in peril.

Back to the family kitchen table ,we find consumer confidence starts to get a whiff of what is going on and that causes belt tightening which further exacerbates the Fed's  problem.

Now this scenario might not happen because the consumer began the Fed's tightening in better shape. Remember,  UNCLE SAM sent him money so, the family could either save more or spend more. Since there is no free breakfast the government is deeper in debt but is receiving more tax revenue because business got a boost from COVID largesse,

We will just have to wait and see how this all plays out. Meanwhile, investors concluded stocks were selling at somewhat extended multiples, earnings might be less than forecast and reacted, as they always do, when The Fed tightens. They dumped.

These type of cyclical circumstances always bring pain but there is one consolation - self-corrections eventually restore some semblance of balance but a lot of green blood remains on the floor to be moped.
