What Gives? The Titanic? Worthy Op Eds. Trump vs Bibbi. Republicans And The Black Vote. Rotten Apple Lunacy. Zito.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
What gives?
+++++

We’re not even a year into this national nightmare. Joe Biden was always going to be a terrible president, but this feels like we're on the Titanic. The fight we’re currently in is the ultimate one that will determine if America survives. Democrats are trying to enact full-blown authoritarian socialism. You already know this—but not only is America itself facing an existential threat, so are we here at Townhall.

Enter Gigi Sohn. She’s Joe Biden’s nominee for FCC commissioner and she’s hell-bent on destroying us. She’s even gone as far as calling Fox News state propaganda and will seek to regulate conservative media out of existence. The worst part is that she apparently has allies in Newsmax and One America News Network. What these idiots are thinking, I don’t know—but Sohn is one of the picks that seeks our total erasure. The enemy is at the gates. Liberal state media is a few small steps away.

By joining Townhall VIP, you would become part of the Townhall army that is working to defend against the censorship enemy at the gates and destroy the Biden radical leftist agenda before they can annihilate us.

The good news is that Biden is also falling apart on his own. The man cannot do the job—and it becomes more explicit with each passing day. Joe probably pooped himself in front of Pope Francis before he farted all over the place in front of the Brits. He has no plan to combat inflation. His COVID strategy has failed, and with Omicron, he’s seeking to lock down the country again.

Before he can do that, he’s trying to force his unconstitutional vaccine mandate on all of us. The man has totally lost it. Biden isn’t up to the task of being president - he’s too stupid, too slow, and too mentally diminished to do anything.

As a VIP member, you get exclusive access to Col. Kurt Schlichter’s columns, podcasts, and Stream of Kurtiousness videos, which are arrows straight into liberal America. You also get Katie’s columns and those from Larry O’Connor who slices through the media’s fake news narratives like a blowtorch through butter. And you'll also get my weekly VIP column. You fund these efforts. You fund Julio Rosas' trips to the southern border, his coverage of leftist rioting in the cities, and covering key trials like Kyle Rittenhouse’s massive victory for self-defense in America. Because of you, we’re able to have boots on the ground and tell the truth the liberal media doesn’t want out there.

I will say it again. By joining Townhall VIP, you’re supporting the fight for America. This is your piece of the site—without ads and totally untethered to the woke censorship machine that wants to crush us at every turn. It’s here you can read the truth about COVID, the border, Joe Biden, his radical leftist agenda, and family corruption. It’s the stuff that Dr. Anthony Fauci doesn’t want you to read. It’s the stuff that would be put on double-secret probation if the Big Tech lords ever found out.

We don’t say chest-feeding persons or birthing people here. We say "women." We live in reality. This is your refuge from the woke hell holes popping up across the country. It’s a place to reload, rest, and relax. It’s also the platform that has and always will openly attack these leftist clowns. Join us in the fight by becoming a Townhall VIP member. We must protect ourselves from them.

'The Comedy We've All Been Waiting For': Hillary Clinton Reads What Would've Been Her Victory Speech
By Leah BarkoukisLeah Barkoukis|

An emotional Hillary Clinton read the victory speech she prepared for Election Night in 2016, had she not been defeated by Donald Trump.

Clinton took the trip down memory lane as part of a MasterClass series. The former secretary of state has been promoting her class, “The Power of Resilience,” reports The New York Times. Part of her reading of that speech was released Wednesday by the “Today” show.

“In this lesson, I’m going to face one of my most public defeats head-on by sharing with you the speech I had hoped to deliver if I had won the 2016 election,” she says in the clip.

“I’ve never shared this with anybody,” she adds. “I’ve never read it out loud.”

She became emotional when reading a part about her mother, Dorothy Rodham, “who grew up in poverty and was abandoned by her parents as an 8-year-old girl,” according to the Times.

"I dream of going up to her and sitting down next to her, taking her in my arms, and saying ‘look at me, listen to me. You will survive. You will have a good family on your own. And three children. And as hard as it might be to imagine, your daughter will grow up and become the president of the United States,’” she says.

Mrs. Clinton had planned to deliver the speech at an elaborate celebration on the night of Nov. 8, 2016, complete with confetti shaped like glass shards that would fall from the glass ceiling of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.

Instead, she gave a hastily scheduled speech in a dreary hotel ballroom on the day after the election, in which she said the country was “more deeply divided than we thought.”

“This loss hurts,” she said that day. “But please never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it.” (NYT)

Critics mocked Clinton over the reading of her planned speech, including Fox News's Gregg Jarrett, who suggested she could instead teach a "MasterClass in cluelessness."

"I had the misfortune of watching all of [the speech]," he told Sean Hannity. "It was pathetic and embarrassing. And actually nauseating. I kept thinking – ‘what kind of a person does this?

"Well, a person who yearns for relevance, to be sure, but an embittered person who refuses to accept personal responsibility for her own failure," he continued. "She lost because she ran a hideous campaign with unpopular policies and came across as unlikable, and yet she is obsessed with blaming others."

"She wrote an entire book blaming everybody else but herself," Jarrett added. "People like this can't stand defeat, criticism. She seems like a classic case of narcissistic personality disorder, this overwrought sense of entitlement, an exaggerated sense of self-importance, and no sense of self-awareness, but on top of it, as you point out, scandal and malfeasance followed her everywhere she goes."

58% of Israeli Jews back striking Iran’s nuke program without US consent
That number drops to 51% of Israelis when Israel’s entire population is taken into account, including its significant Arab minority.

A significant majority of Jewish Israelis, 58%, would support a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities even without a green light from Washington, according to an Israel Democracy Institute report published Wednesday.

That number drops to 51% of Israelis when Israel’s entire population is taken into account, including its significant Arab minority.

Still, for a country that was once ready to downgrade or replace its prime ministers if they did not get along with a US president, and where many security experts consider at least a quiet US “wink” as necessary for an attack on Iran, that the general public feels differently was telling.

The Israeli Voice Index survey for November 2021 was published by IDI’s Viterbi Family Center for Public Opinion and Policy Research.

Less than a third (31%) of Jewish Israelis would not support action against Iran without American approval, while around 82% of Arab Israelis would want the Biden administration to sign off.

Next, the report noted that the gaps between the political camps (among Jewish Israelis) was large, with 67% on the political Right supporting a strike without US consent, while only 37.5% of the political Left would support such a strike.

Perhaps most importantly, 50% of the ever-growing political Center in Israel would support such an attack.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Defense Minister Benny Gantz and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid (slated to replace Bennett in 2023) are all viewed as either having right-wing or centrist constituencies.

Though the government also has left-wing and Israeli-Arab parties, these three officials would be the dominant deciders about whether a preemptive strike on Iran’s nuclear program would be necessary, and whether they would be prepared to do so even without US consent.

When Israel struck Iraq’s nuclear program in 1981, then-US president Ronald Reagan was furious, but Israel rode out the fallout.

In contrast, when Israel struck Syria’s nuclear program in 2007, then-US president George Bush was supportive after the fact, and the issue had been discussed between the governments.

The Biden administration is not expected to green-light an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities short of the regime being close to being able to fire a nuclear missile, whereas Jerusalem might feel a need to act at an earlier date to avoid missing its window of opportunity.

Next, 54% of respondents thought that Iran is an existential danger to a “large” or “very large” extent to Israel.

About a quarter of respondents viewed Iran as a “medium danger,” while a minority (13%) saw it as posing only a “small danger.”

On this issue, the report again found a large gap between the Jewish and the Arab interviewees.

A large majority (62%) of the Jewish Israelis thought that Iran constitutes an existential danger to a “large” or “very large” extent, while only a minority (19%) of Arab Israelis agreed.

The survey was conducted on the Internet and by telephone (supplements of groups that are not sufficiently represented on the network) from November 29 to December 1.

Six hundred and fourteen men and women were interviewed in Hebrew, and 150 in Arabic, constituting a representative national sample of the entire adult population.

The maximum sampling error was 3.59 %+/- at a confidence level of 95%, with the fieldwork handled by the Midgam Institute.

Biden No Match For Putin
by Paul R. Gregory via What Paul Gregory is Writing About

The December 7 virtual summit between President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin
proved (as expected) an uneven match. According to the short White House readout, Biden threatened
Russia with “strong economic and other measures” in the event of military escalation and reiterated his
support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

An Attack on The Democrat's soft underbelly.

Coalition Is Taking Shape

By Josh Hammer

+++

Bo Snerdley sees a pattern developing (edited:)

My Fellow American,

Democrats have never understood Black America – they think they have to pander to us with

“woke” policies – they see us children. Black people want the same thing everyone wants – a

strong economy and a free society—the American Dream.

If Democrats truly cared about Black America, they would open the economy and bring prices

down so we can feed our families. They don’t see Black Americans as Americans, and they still

don’t understand that we will vote for whoever we believe will fix the economy that Joe Biden

 is destroying.

The Democrat routs in Virginia and New Jersey should have been a wake-up call for them. Even

in the old South, diverse Republican candidates won because they talked about issues that

matter—like education and jobs.

This is how we win in 2022, and the New Journey PAC has the plan to talk to Black Americans

and WIN RACES NATIONWIDE just like we aided Winsome Sears in her recent victory.

After years of hard work, we are winning races, and I need your help to keep the Red Wave

going into 2022. Our efforts will not only take back Congress in 2022, but they’ll lay the groundwork

for a conservative victory in 2024.

This is Bo Snerdley, the former producer and call screener for the late, great Rush Limbaugh.

After watching Democrats treat Black America like trash for decades, I started the New Journey

PAC to support Black conservative candidates.

Our organization delivers results nationwide, and I need your help to keep it going.

In 2022, we will flip seats, and polls show this isn’t just wishful thinking. My staff has been crunching

the numbers, and there is a MASSIVE opportunity for Republicans to win by targeting traditional

Democrat Party voters in the Black community.

Black voters are 50% more likely to take political action after being contacted by an organization

like ours. Black voters make up 32% of the entire American electorate, while at the same time, the

white vote decreased by 9% in the 2020 election.

It is this simple: Republicans cannot win in 2022 unless we do HEAVY outreach to minority voters,

and New Journey PAC is the ONLY organization with the experience and credibility to do it.

This plan can work, but it is expensive, and we need every patriot reading this email to dig deep and

do all they can to support our plans to win back Congress for the Republican Party.

I know that Joe Biden’s disastrous policies have put you and your family into hard times. Everything,

from your morning cup of coffee to the gas in your car, is costing more.

Unfortunately, nothing is going to change if we lose the 2022 election.

I am asking you to invest in your family’s future. We plan to win and fix the nation, but we need your

donation to make it happen.

Please do all you can.

I’m confident in our plan for 2022, and I hope you’ll show me you are too by joining us today!

For a New Journey,

James Golden, AKA Bo Snerdley

Trump cannot avoid touching wet paint.

T. Belman.  This morning I read the articles on the new book in HAARETZ, TOI, and YNET and found them all objectionable for one reason or another.

Much more could be said in praise of Trump’s gifts to Israel such as cutting off funds to the PA and UNRWA and moving th US Embassy to Jerusalem. I, too, was rankled by Bibi kissing Biden’s ass.  Bennett did the same.

Journalist Barak Ravid releases excerpts from new book, featuring interviews with Trump. ‘Nobody did more for Bibi,’ former US Pres. Trump said.

Israeli journalist Barak Ravid has publicized excerpts from his new book, “Trump’s peace: The Abraham Accords and the Reshaping of the Middle East,” which will be published in Israel on Sunday.<

The book contains two interviews with Former US President Trump, from April and July of this year, which touch on a myriad of issues from during Trump’s presidency.

Israel is ramping up preparations for a military option that would prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon in case the nuclear talks between Tehran and world powers lead to the signing of a “bad deal.” These preparations include an expanded target bank, increased training and the purchase of advanced equipment. However, the security establishment understands that it will be years until such an option is realistic.

Furthermore, professionals engaged in preparation for military action against Iran believe that even in a scenario where Israel attacks all sites relevant to the nuclear program, the Iranians will eventually be able to reconstruct their knowledge capabilities. Therefore, the military brass has explained to the country’s political echelon that any military action should be carried out so that Iran cannot reconstitute its nuclear program. Or as a security source recently put it: “It has to be like an arrow through the heart of the program.”

Former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter Sounds Off On District Attorney Larry Krasner In Inquirer Op-Ed

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — With a record number of murders in the city this year, former Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter is getting into a war of words with District Attorney Larry Krasner. It all started Monday when Krasner was asked whether people should be worried about coming into the city because of gun violence.

Nutter responded to that comment with an op-ed in the Philadelphia Inquirer.(BELOW)

Nutter wrote: “I have to wonder what kind of messed up world of white wokeness Krasner is living in to have so little regard for human lives lost — many of them black and brown — while he advances his own national profile as a progressive District Attorney.”

Mayor Jim Kenney was also asked once again Wednesday about the city’s record-high murder rate. He said police are doing beat patrols in targeted areas in order to try and stop the killings

KENTUCKY where you can beat the odds at whatever you work hard for & sometimes come up on top

By Salena Zito

VERSAILLES, Ky. — I don’t believe in places being “in the middle of nowhere,” a pejorative too often used to diminish rural people or those from small towns. That’s why I like to visit so many of them for this column, so I can present the stories of those who live there. But I acknowledge that “middle of nowhere” can be a state of mind, one that requires hard work, determination and a bit of luck to spare.

Guinness McFadden knows.

You wouldn’t know it today, but the Kentucky entrepreneur said, “Before I came I here, I was at a loss in my life … no sort of direction of where my life was going, or even where I fit in.”
Kentucky is a place where you can beat the odds at whatever you work hard for — and sometimes come up on top. Mr. McFadden did that up real big in 2019.

You probably don’t know Mr. McFadden, but you probably do know his horse.

He and his aunt co-owned a colt, which entered the Churchill Downs starting gates as a 65-to-1 long shot and two minutes and three seconds later crossed the Kentucky Derby finish line in second place. Twenty-two minutes after that, the second-place finish was elevated to first, when a steward’s ruling disqualified Maximum Security and laid a garland of roses on the shoulders of Mr. McFadden’s colt, Country House.

That remarkable win placed Country House in the Derby history books not only for having the second-highest odds ever for winning the coveted title (the 1913 win by Donerail at 91-1 odds holds the highest-odds distinction), but Country House also holds the merit of wearing the roses the longest — because in 2020, in reaction to the pandemic, the race was postponed from May to September.

But it wasn’t always fancy hats and mint juleps.

Mr. McFadden was adrift when he moved to Kentucky from California 20 years ago.

“I found out in short order hard work is valued here, whether you work in the coal mines or in the stables. Their horses are thoroughbreds who don’t just stand in a field and graze like the ones did back home in California. Basketball is still king, and bourbon is more than something you drink,” explained Mr. McFadden from his farm in the heart of the rolling hills of bluegrass horse country.

He worked in landscaping.

He worked construction.

Then he started mucking out stables at the crack of dawn as a groom at Three Chimneys Farm. Ten years later — through a lot of hard work, and a lot of manure — he became the owner of Blackwood Stables, a 122-stall farm and training facility that employs more than 60 people on 285 of the most idyllic acres you’ve ever seen not far from the iconic Keeneland racetrack. “I leased the farm from the former owners for two years until I could afford to buy it,” he said.

It’s that Kentucky frontier go-after-it spirit Mr. McFadden says he loves most about the character of the people and this state.

And it’s what has now led him to start at the bottom of Kentucky’s other signature industry: bourbon.

He hopes the daunting odds against him once again will work in his favor.

It’s a venture that started over a couple of beers with House of Bourbon owners and Kentucky’s premier experts on barrel-toasted whiskey, Justin Sloan and Justin Thompson.

Mr. Thompson said he showed Mr. McFadden the newest House of Bourbon line, “and immediately he just started asking some introductory, elementary questions about the industry and how you get involved with it, and I rattled off a few strategies that people used to get involved in the bourbon business.”

Mr. Thompson said McFadden started calling him once a week about the prospect of introducing his own brand. “Those calls quickly turned into about every other day, and then when he was real serious about this idea, he got some investors together, and he went out and bought some bourbon.”

Mr. Sloan explains: “It’s fairly easy to get ahold of a broker and buy some whiskey. It’s a little more difficult to find good whiskey.”

Luckily, Mr. Sloan said, there was some exceptional whiskey available. They hit the market at the rare, perfect time. That McFadden luck again?

With those two experts as consultants, Mr. McFadden is launching Blackwood Toasted Bourbon — a very small batch of a complex, 121-proof double-barreled whiskey that is being bottled from fewer than 10 barrels. If all goes well, more batches will be in the offing.

What all three men love about bourbon — outside of drinking it — is how much it embodies Americanism; going against all odds, surviving government overreach, working with your hands and creating something new, virtues that bourbon has represented for centuries.

“When you think of … the history of bourbon, from being accidentally created by farmers shipping their corn whiskey in charred barrels to the Atlantic seaboard and what that toast and aging did to the whiskey is about as American as you can get,” said Mr. Thompson.

Mr. McFadden stresses he takes the same approach to training racehorses as he does in developing his bourbon: “Like many different aspects of American ingenuity, bourbon is a very durable part of our nation’s legacy, and I want to be a part of the community that is committed to that excellence continuing.”
