Their Disconnected World. NY Politician Makes "Innocent" Mistake. China Drones On, Swalwell Sits In His Chair. My Response To My Christian Friends.

Calls for unity sure sound nice—if only they were sincere. Total submission to the left, however, is their desire. Dennis Prager explains in this episode. Click here to watch.

Many politicians believe they can act contrary to what they say.  They often pass laws they are not subject to, they say things on the floor of Congress and are shielded so,  in a sense, they live in a disconnected world.

As for many liberals and Hollywood types, hypocrisy is often their downfall and so it may be with our new president:

Biden’s Hypocrisy Begins to Cripple Presidency Just 3 Days In

It’s only three days into the Joe Biden presidency and the cracks are already beginning to show. While the new president signs executive order after order establishing new rules, it appears he’s taking after Democrats by being inconsistent with them. Sometimes, Biden violates orders that are unimportant to him. At other times, it appears there are differing standards for conservatives who break the law and anarchists on the left who don’t even believe there are laws.

If there is one thing that makes people upset, it’s hypocrisy. America is at a crossroads. The last thing the nation needs is a “do as I say, not as I do leader.” Americans want a president who is consistent, tells it to them straight and practices what he preaches. America must demand better than what we are getting from our leaders.

Hypocrisy on Full Display

It appears President Biden is onboard the hypocrisy train. On Wednesday, January 20, just hours after signing an executive order requiring everyone to wear masks on federal property, the president was seen without a mask on at the Lincoln Memorial. The purpose for not wearing a mask may be justifiable and reasonable.

However, White House Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki made something that’s likely a non-issue into a massive one. When asked by the press why the president wasn’t wearing a mask, she said Biden has “bigger issues to worry about.”

TEST

Really? That’s her answer. For months on the campaign trail, Biden berated former President Donald Trump for not wearing a mask. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, the press secretary should immediately come out and say she misspoke. Psaki’s answer came off as hypocritical, condescending, and out of touch with everyday Americans.

Biden Silent on Riots in Western Cities

As riots destroyed communities last summer across the upper-Midwest and the West, then-candidate Biden stayed silent. Perhaps he was afraid if he confronted them, it would have hurt his chances at winning the election.

However, when the Capitol building was rioted against, he wasn’t so silent. In fact, 25,000 National Guardsmen were sent into Washington, DC to protect Joe Biden’s inauguration.

However, he remains silent about the anarchists who destroyed parts of Portland, Seattle, and Denver on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The rioters carried signs saying they didn’t want to be “governed,” along with other despicable sayings as they looted and destroyed property.

TEST

As much as the press has tried to cover it up, Biden’s presidency started in controversy earlier this week. He called for unity, but his actions aren’t backing up his words. Let’s hope the new president reminds himself of his words that what he says (or doesn’t say) and does (or doesn’t do) matters.

Biden appears to be trying so hard not to be Trump that he’s actually hurting his presidency. Let’s hope Psaki’s statement is retracted, a reasonable explanation is given for not wearing a mask, and the president calls out the rioters on the left. It would be a good way to start over before this becomes a pattern.

New York politician gets his manhood caught in a "ringer."

New York Legislator Texts 19 Year Old Graphic, Inappropriate Photos

A Democratic legislator from Monroe County, New York, is accused of sending inappropriate sexual messages to a 19-year-old woman. Ernest Flagler-Mitchell allegedly sent a picture of his genitals to the woman but has since claimed that he believed he was sending the photos to his wife.

A likely story…

The news of the sexting scandal broke on the same day that Flagler-Mitchell officially became the new president of New Yorker’s chapter of NAACP.

The story was unveiled when LaKaya Sinclair, the 19-year-old victim, wrote a letter to Monroe County’s board of legislators and called for Flagler-Mitchell’s resignation. She described what happened to her in the letter.

“I am writing this letter to share with you that your colleague County Legislature for Legislative District 29, Ernest Flagler-Mitchell, has explicitly sexually harassed me and has sent me an unsolicited photo of his genital [sic],” she wrote.

Sinclair described how she first met Flagler-Mitchell following a shooting that occurred last year.

“A few days later, there was a community gathering and he introduced himself to me as the official county legislature [sic] for my district,” she said. “He gave his county legislature business card and told me if I ever needed anything to giver him a call.”

Sinclair said that she did reach out to him, but she didn’t expect to be sexually harassed.

She told the board of legislators that she was writing the letter to ensure they knew the kind of person he is, and that she would be going public with the story and asking for him to resign.

“No one should be in a position where they turned to their elected official for help and are met with unwanted sexual advances and inappropriate messages. I am only 19 years old,” she added.

In a subsequent letter sent by the Monroe County Democratic Caucus to Legislature President Dr. Joe Carborne, a full “independent review of facts” was requested to see if the story panned out.

Interesting how Democrats are calling for a review and not simply believing Sinclaire’s story.

Believe all women…right?

CHINESE REGIME

Beijing Building Military Drones to Rival US in War, Leaked File Shows

BY EVA FU

The Chinese regime has been actively growing its fleet of unmanned aircrafts to spy on and compete with adversaries such as the United States, a leaked document from China’s Ministry of National Defense reveals.

The July 2017 document, supplied to The Epoch Times by a trusted source, described Beijing’s ambition to dominate what it called “full dimensional warfare”—referring to control over sea, land, air, space, and the electromagnetic spectrum where military equipment communicates—by developing advanced military drones.

To accomplish the above, the regime detailed a plan to design one to two types of small, long-range military drones and establish a factory to produce 1,000 drones per year. The document stated there would be a 130 million yuan (about $20 million) investment to build the drone-making firm that would begin production by the end of 2018.

“Implementation of the program will arm our national defense with the latest combat power in future vertical warfare and make it capable to contend with U.S. military weapons, giving it marked military significance,” the document stated.

While the file did not reveal the cost for making such drones, a 2017 directive from the Party’s Equipment Development Department described a project that matched the description of the above-mentioned drones, with an estimated budget of around 6 million yuan ($927,859) to build a prototype and publish a flight test report by 2020.

The Chinese defense department document branded such drones as critical to “whether a nation could engage in modern-day combat.”

“In future warfare, seizing more information resources while controlling and restricting other nations’ information will be a key component for competing with nations during peaceful periods, and an important combat strategy in times of war,” it said, citing “low costs” and the “ability to fight in a dangerous environment” as some of the features that made these drones desirable.

The project called for collaboration with a number of Chinese engineering and aeronautical universities. Zhejiang University, one of the schools named, houses an institute for drone development that has received roughly 100 million yuan ($15.5 million) for projects from the Chinese air force and other state agencies.

China-made commercial drones have dominated the world market. Shenzhen-based dronemaker DJI, which has come under U.S. sanctions for providing “high-technology surveillance equipment” that enable human rights abuses in China, holds around 70 to 80 percent of the global market share as of October 2020, according to market research firm Drone Industry Insights.

In the combat zone, however, China still had a long way to go. The current engine types found in Chinese military drones, such as piston and turboshaft engines, are unfit for long flights and high altitude, the leaked document stated. It further noted that Beijing has “made some breakthroughs in replicating Rotax 914,” a four-stroke, four-cylinder turbo-charged engine built by Austrian company BRP-Powertrain that it said has been the world’s leading engine system.

The Epoch Times has sent an email inquiry to the BRP-Powertrain for comment.

The file also mentioned four drone models currently deployed in the U.S. Air Force: RQ-1A Predator, MQ-9 Reaper, MQ-9A Reaper, and RQ-4 Global Hawk. It described the last one, developed by Virginia defense tech firm Northrop Grumman, as the most advanced one used in the U.S. military. That model is known for its ability to fly at high altitudes of up to 60,000 feet for over 30 hours.

The new drone, the document said, should be able to fly for more than 24 hours with a carrying capacity of 6 kilograms (13.2 pounds).

Two lines of Chinese military drones, Wing Loong and Caihong (also known as Rainbow) made by subsidiaries of state-run aerospace firm Aviation Industry Corporation of China, were also cited in the document. Military experts have suspected some models to be clones of U.S. drones due to their visual resemblance to the Predator and Reaper models, manufactured by San Diego-based firm General Atomics.

In recent months, DJI has faced scrutiny from the United States for copyright infringement issues and for security vulnerabilities, which the U.S. Army warned could be exploited by the Chinese regime to control the vehicle or hijack data.

Tom Fitton speaks out about Biden:

President Biden began his presidency with a disturbing inauguration speech that signaled his administration will target any political opponents who reject his radical agenda. This would be a continuation of Obama-era practices, which saw the Obama IRS, DOJ, FBI, CIA, etc. used to target Obama opponents ranging from small citizen Tea Party groups to then-candidate Donald Trump. Indeed, that virtually no ordinary Americans were allowed to view the proceedings in person thanks to a politicized military shutdown of our nation’s capital doesn’t augur well for this Republic and our civil liberties.

And then Biden immediately undermined the rule of law by shutting down virtually all deportations and essentially ending all enforcement of our nation’s immigration laws. You can read the details here.

And, of course, Biden’s mere presence in office is a challenge to the rule of law because of his personal corruption issues.

There is substantial evidence, from documents and witness statements, that the Biden family, including President Joe Biden, may have been involved in criminal activity involving, among other issues, foreign entities tied to Ukraine and China.

Joe Biden's son Hunter has already acknowledged that he is the target of an FBI criminal investigation. (Judicial Watch was the first to document that Hunter took five trips to China while his father was vice president!)

A special counsel should immediately be appointed because the Biden Justice Department is conflicted in investigating any matter that could implicate President Biden or his immediate family. The fact that it hasn’t happened yet tells you a lot about the partisan corruption of the Justice Department and FBI.

To increase pressure for the rule of law and to educate more Americans, Judicial Watch created a petition on Change.org calling on the Department of Justice to create a special counsel to investigate the Biden Family. Our petition continues to grow! More than 85,000 have signed, and you can too here. Be sure also to share it widely. Achieving one million signatures is within our reach!

In the meantime, you can trust Judicial Watch to do what it does best – which is to use the courts to hold corrupt politicians such as Joe Biden accountable to the law. We have dozens of lawsuits and hundreds of Freedom of Information Act requests already pending – and more are coming. For example, we are NOT going to forget about the Obama/Biden spy abuse and other sedition against the Trump administration and the Constitution.

Judicial Watch and I (and you, dear supporter, with Biden’s implicit support) have been targeted for Big Tech censorship and suppression because of our demonstrated record of success.

Biden Advisor Ranked Mao Zedong among ‘Favorite Political Philosophers’

Keep your eye on China.

A national counterintelligence official reportedly warned President Biden that China poses a “more severe” threat to the country than any other American foe and that it will represent one of his administration’s “biggest challenges.”

And then there are Hunter Biden’s scandalous dealings with China that implicate his father.

In addition, a member of Biden’s team (and Obama’s before him) thought favorably of the blood thirsty communist dictator Mao Zedong. Our Corruption Chronicles blog has the details:

In a scary preview of what lies ahead, a cherished senior advisor to President Joe Biden ranked murderous Communist dictator Mao Zedong among her “favorite political philosophers.” The egregious admission actually forced the veteran political operative, Anita Dunn, to resign as Obama’s White House communications director over a decade ago and now she’s back along with a lengthy roster of leftist officials who served under the 44th president. Dunn sticks out among the group because she publicly praised the Chinese Communist revolutionary responsible for killing tens of millions and it was caught on video.

The scandalous delivery occurred during a commencement address at a high school in Washington D.C. while Dunn worked for the American people. Here is what she said: “The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Zedong and Mother Teresa – not often coupled with each other, but the two people I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is, you’re going to make choices; you’re going to challenge; you’re going to say, ‘Why not?’; you’re going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before.” A conservative media outlet was the first to broadcast the clip and Dunn quit under pressure after just seven months in the Obama White House. Dunn’s return to Pennsylvania Avenue comes after serving as the senior advisor to Biden’s presidential campaign and co-chair of the Biden-Harris transition team.

Dunn was a key advisor on all aspects of the presidential campaign, including messaging, debate preparation, and overall strategy, according to an announcement issued by the Biden-Harris transition this month. She was also a “key strategist” to Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign before becoming White House communications director in 2009. “Dunn has also served in a variety of roles in and out of government for former Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle and former U.S. Senator Bill Bradley,” the press release states. The document includes comments from Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris about the group of appointees that include Dunn. “Speaking honestly, with empathy, and directly to the public about our administration will be among the key pillars in this Presidency and White House,” Biden says. “At a time when American families are facing numerous challenges, these appointees will strengthen our administration’s ability to convey information to the American people and be integral in our team’s efforts to build our nation back better.” Harris refers to the group as “dedicated public servants” that will help “deliver on our commitment to contain the coronavirus pandemic, create an economy that works for working people, and rebuild our country in a way that lifts up all Americans.”

Not surprisingly, the announcement fails to mention the admiration that one of the commander-in-chief’s top advisors has expressed for an infamous Communist whose legacy is that of a mass murderer. Mao’s Communist revolution is responsible for tens of millions of deaths and his disastrous plan to transform China into a Communist wonderland by ordering the collectivization of the country’s agriculture resulted in millions of Chinese starving to death. Ironically known as the “Great Leap Forward,” Communist leaders made owning private land illegal and emphasized iron and steel production, forcibly removing millions of agriculture workers from their land, and deploying them to factories. It was the “most inhumane example of Mao’s contempt for human life” according to a prominent historian.

A few years after that catastrophe Mao launched the bloody cultural revolution to destroy his enemies. Gangs known as the Red Guards beat up or murdered Intellectuals considered to be enemies of the state. Teachers were humiliated by having their faces covered in ink, their bodies draped in bizarre clothes, and a dunce cap. Some were forced to get down on all fours and bark like dogs. Others were beaten to death, all in the name of Maoism. In the meantime. Mao expanded China’s large system of forced labor camps which saw tens of millions of Chinese die because of primitive living conditions and inhumane workdays. For a senior advisor to an American president to ever rank the ruthless dictator among her favorite political philosophers is downright disturbing.

2021 Forecast: Four Fights to Watch

We don’t know for sure what a Biden presidency will bring but given the current pandemic of corruption here in DC, we can make some reasonable forecasts. Micah Morrison, our chief investigative reporter, sets out in his Investigative Bulletin four issues we’re sure to confront.

A new president was sworn in yesterday and despite our differences, we wish him well. President Biden has signaled he’ll embark on an ambitious agenda. Here are four fights we’ll be closely watching:

The battle over borders. Biden immediately threw down the gauntlet with a big move on immigration. He announced plans to send to Congress a sweeping immigration bill that includes far-reaching amnesty provisions, a fast track for Dreamers, expanded access to the United States, and whiffs on border security. Conservative rejection was swift. “A mass amnesty with no safeguards and no strings attached is a nonstarter,” said Senator Chuck Grassley. Biden signed a flurry of first-day executive actions, including rescinding the travel ban, rolling back immigration enforcement, and halting construction on the border wall.

The battle over Big Tech. As the world now knows, with days left in his presidency, Donald Trump was banned by Twitter, suspended by Facebook, and kicked off YouTube and Snapchat—an effective silencing of the president of the United States. Many other conservative voices have been silenced too. Judicial Watch’s own Tom Fitton was suspended from Twitter for an innocuous tweet about hydroxychloroquine—the exact same tweet that Tom had repeatedly posted and that Twitter had found in September to be not in violation of its rules. Big Tech’s concentration of power and impact on free speech has become too blatant to ignore. In 2021, watch for the battle over Big Tech to move to Congress and the courts.

The battle over Trump. The former president has decamped to Florida, but he is certain to stay in the news. He leaves a legacy of conservative judges, deregulation, and economic growth. His adversaries are circling with a second impeachment trial, a criminal investigation by the Manhattan district attorney, a federal tax probe, defamation lawsuits, and an assault on his worldwide business holdings. The harassment and troubles will not cease, but he remains a potent force in Republican politics. How will he use that power? The political world will be watching closely.

The battle over Biden. With his son’s business dealings—including with the controversial Ukrainian energy firm Burisma – under FBI investigation, President Biden’s Justice Department faces pressure to hand off the probe to a special counsel, a development that will engulf the new administration in controversy. On the legislative front, as an old Washington hand, the new president knows that the window of opportunity closes fast. Next January, will President Biden have a record of legislative achievement, the pandemic erased, the economy growing? Or will he be seen as feckless and wavering, unable to achieve his goals, captive to his party’s left-wing?

Time will tell.

The view from here: doubling down on a Senate impeachment trial while pursuing a politically risky immigration deal is not a smart start.

Until next week …

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

In a recent memo, I stated  the Savannah JEA did not speak for me.  I wrote this for two reasons.  First, I was sent an article, by a dear Christian friend,  published in the SMN about how the local liberal Jewish population were enraptured because of the election of two radicals as Georgia's new Senators and second, because I am constatly asked by my Christian friends, who are also consrvative, how can Jews be so liberal?

I cannot answer for others but I generally respond by saying most Jews, who are also far left, mistakenly believe they are commanded to be liberal because they are Jewish and come to this view for three reasons:

First, is historical  because they are connected to families who immigrated  from Eastern Europe where they were persecuted.

Second, they have drifted away from the knowledge of their own bible and misinterpret the various commandments of how they should live a life of moderation and self imposed deprivations - keeping Kosher , being one of them.

Third, they think with their hearts and not their heads and have substituted politics for religion.

Certainly there are many other reasons, even some that are rational, but I believe, for me, the above are the defining reasons and result in a total misconstruing of what God, if there is one, intended. As for myself, I refuse to be connected to or associated with  a group I believe are hypocrites, truly place themselves above their fellow man and mean harm to those who refuse to embrace their own views. These are neither Jewish nor American ideals.

Moderation, true generosity, independence of thought, patriotism, integrity and personal responsibility define what motivates me to be the person I am, or aspire to be and I do not associate these characteristics with modern day liberalism that I find totally demeaning and crushing of the human spirit.

Stupidity is not only limited to Jews who claim to be liberal of course.  What makes my Christian friends shake their heads is that they perceive Jews are successful, educated, accomplished in ways disproportionate to their numbers and certainly Israel  has proven that can be the case. My father always repeated a line from a Jewish prophet who said: "Jews are like people, only more so." In other words we tend to be extreme in ways both good and bad.

As for Georgia's two new Senators I am embarrassed that we have allowed ourselves to be represented by radicals and hypocrites but when conservatives fail in their civic responsibility they deserve what they get.
