New Biden Appointee. 5 Challenges Biden Will Probably Face and Fail To Resolve Favorably. Why I Do Not Own A Cell Phone.

I previously noted who Robert Malley was and now another member of the Biden Team

Biden Appoints Former Palestinian UNRWA Official as Director of NSC Intelligence

Maher al-Bitar has served as Foreign Affairs Officer in the Office of the Special Envoy for Middle East Peace, and holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown Law, and is a member of the Maryland Bar. He was Rep. Adam Schiff’s top legal adviser and played a key role in the first impeachment of former President Donald Trump, alongside Dan Goldman who worked as the impeachment manager’s top lawyer. Goldman called al-Bitar “a brilliant lawyer.”

Schiff told Politico al-Bitar was a “superb choice” for the NSC job, with an “extraordinary” breadth of talent and expertise when it comes to the intelligence community and the challenges it faces after being “battered” by Trump for four years. “I can’t think of anyone more suited to the role than Maher,” Schiff said.

Robert Malley, who is expected to be appointed President Biden’s special envoy to Iran, tweeted: “Can’t think of a better choice than Maher. The most professional, principled, dedicated public servant I’ve had the honor to work with, a wonderful colleague, and a dear friend.”

Ziad Asali, the founder of the American Task Force on Palestine, tweeted: “Agree. Maher Bitar is a dedicated public servant who had the talent and the skills to rise up the ranks both at NSC and Congress. His career provides a roadmap to success for motivated young people to follow. An eternal learner and #hardest worker who plays fair.”

Biden will face at least five serious threats in the next four years and, in my humble opinion, will not make the right decision regarding any of them:

1) First we do not have the ability to help Taiwan . Xi wants Taiwan and when he takes it , as he did Hong Kong, it will send a message to that region America is impotent and China is the next great power.

2) America's debt will sink the dollar and this will cause a rise in inflation,  imports and interest rates forcing the Fed to take action.

Yale University professor Stephen Roach sent shockwaves through the financial community recently when he wrote a story for Bloomberg titled, How the Coming Crash in the Dollar Will Unfold.

In the article, Roach says, "America's saving and current-account problems are about to come into play with a vengeance."

And Roach is not the only financial expert warning Americans to pay attention to what's happening to our currency.

3) In his desire to rid America of Trump's successful policies it will make America vulnerable as conditions return that led to Trump's election.

4) Iran will become an increased threat to Middle East stability and leave Israel no option but to respond.

Weakness is always a dangerous policy as the natives of these cities have begun to learn. Law does not guarantee order.

Portland and Seattle residents slam ‘weak’ response to Antifa riots

Residents in Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington, say they’re fed up with local officials’ “weak” response to the Antifa riots that swept through the cities Wednesday.

In Seattle, city council members and Mayor Jenny Durkan merely issued statements over the Inauguration Day violence that resulted in smashed-up storefronts and burning American flags hours after President Biden was sworn in.

Victoria Beach, a community activist, told KOMO News that it wasn’t enough.

“Very weak. Very weak,” she told the Seattle-based radio station on Thursday. “It’s not addressing the problem. I reached out to the mayor today [because] she needs to come out and say, ‘Stop! Enough is enough.'”

The station reached out to Durkan for an interview.

Her office instead issued a statement saying, “Violent threats, vandalism, and misogynistic and homophobic hate speech are unacceptable in our community. Mayor Durkan has consistently denounced individuals who are targeting small businesses and government facilities.”

But Beach said the mayor was missing the point.

“We are not talking about all that other stuff,” Beach said. “We are talking about these fools [who are] nightly destroying our city. That’s what we want to hear about.”

Seattle council members Andrew Lewis and Lisa Herbold also issued statements — refusing to answer questions from KOMO News.

“Property destruction is a crime, not free speech,” Lewis said. “Last night a small group of people committed acts of vandalism in Downtown Seattle and were promptly arrested. It has never been hard for me to distinguish between acts of petty vandalism committed by opportunists.”

Herbold said, “I have spoken out against property destruction and violent behavior and will continue to do so.”

About 200 miles south, riots simultaneously took place in Portland, where the far-left militants vandalized the Democratic Party headquarters and the city’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement building.

On Friday, local business owner Stacey Gibson said politicians weren’t doing enough to condemn the acts of violence — or prosecute the criminals — that forced her to board up her Subway franchise.

“I mean, they say a lot of things, but actions are what matters,” Gibson said on “Fox & Friends.” “They don’t prosecute anybody. They’ll arrest them, but they’ll be out within a few hours.”

She added, “They’re just going to keep doing it, which is evident. I don’t have any idea why they don’t, you know, just actually crack down on it. It would be great if they did.”

Portland and Seattle have been hotbeds of violence at the hands of Antifa, the so-called leaderless group of anarchists who are against “fascism.”

The group routinely clashes with police and leaves a trail of destruction in their path.

In both cities Wednesday night, the crowds chanted, “F—k Trump, f—k Biden too, they don’t give a f—k about you.”

Tensions escalated in Portland in late August when Antifa follower Michael Forest Reinoehl shot and killed a right-wing counter-protester, Aaron Danielson.

Reinoehl was shot dead by authorities days later.

5) Biden ran a clever campaign by hiding and allowing Trump to implode. Biden never had a pandemic plan different from Trump's and has proven less effective in implementing one.  He even admitted the death rate in America would rise and there was little he could do about it as we "deplorables" knew was the case but the mass media protected him.

The longer the impact of the pandemic persists, the slower the economic recovery and the more vulnerable we become to China's resurgence.
