Bypassing Congress, as Biden has decided he must do, in order to cancel Trump's accomplishments is dangerous, selfish and sets a bad precedence. It also suggests he never intended seeking comity and healing . It was all done as a campaign shtick.

WH Press Secretary Under Biden Evades Questions About Number Of Biden's Executive Orders+++ |
Here's What We Know >> |
Biden is either stupid or an ideologue incapable of rational reason or both.
Share 0 Tweet 0 EmailHistory has proven that raising the minimum wage kills jobs, yet Joe Biden wants to do it anyway.
According to The Washington Free Beacon:
The analysis, published Monday by the National Bureau
of Economic Research, combed through academic literature on the minimum wage
and determined that nearly 80 percent of studies conducted since 1992 have
found that an increased minimum wage leads to a decrease in the level of
employment.
The new study comes as
congressional Democrats reintroduce legislation to
raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour and as President Joe Biden pushes for the
same hike as part of his proposed $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus plan. Neumark
and Shirley’s findings serve as evidence that these pushes could cost American
jobs as the unemployment rate remains elevated thanks to the coronavirus
recession.
Neumark and Shirley observe that the debate
around the minimum wage is highly fraught, with expert economists often
reaching different conclusions based on the same data. Surveying recent
summaries of the literature, they find that researchers have simultaneously
concluded that increasing the minimum wage cuts jobs, that it doesn’t cut jobs,
and that the evidence is too equivocal to say either way.
In an attempt to cut through this dispute, the pair summarize what they identify as the central findings of some 30 years of papers, stretching back to the pioneering work done by Berkeley economist David Card, one of the first economists to use modern methods to study the effects of the minimum wage on employment and wages.
Trump's
Entire Impeachment Trial Defense Team Leaves Him High and Dry
BY RICK MORAN
A little more than a week before Donald Trump’s second
impeachment trial is set to begin on February 8, all five attorneys who had
been serving on his impeachment defense team have parted ways with the former
president. The decision was said to have been mutually agreed upon.
Legal briefs are due this week before the trial begins a
week from Monday. It’s hard to see how Trump could possibly mount an adequate
defense before the trial, he just needs more time. Otherwise, Democrats risk
the charge of not giving Trump a chance at any notion of a fair trial.
Butch Bowers and Deborah Barbier, who
were expected to be two of the lead attorneys, are no longer on the team. A
source familiar with the changes said it was a mutual decision for both to
leave the legal team. As the lead attorney, Bowers assembled the team.
Josh Howard, a North Carolina
attorney who was recently added to the team, has also left, according to
another source familiar with the changes. Johnny Gasser and Greg Harris, from
South Carolina, are no longer involved with the case, either.
No other attorneys have announced they are working on
Trump’s impeachment defense.
While neither the attorneys nor Trump has yet to release a
statement, speculation on the reason for the split has centered on Trump’s
insistence on using the trial as an excuse to prove his election fraud case
rather than addressing the articles of impeachment — which accuse the former
president of inciting an insurrection — or the legality of convicting a
president once he’s out of office.
“The Democrats’ efforts to impeach a president who has already
left office is totally unconstitutional and so bad for our country. In fact, 45
Senators have already voted that it is unconstitutional. We have done much
work, but have not made a final decision on our legal team, which will be made
shortly,” former Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller told CNN.
Indeed, whether a former government official can be
impeached or not remains an unresolved constitutional issue. But the vote
has already been taken. There isn’t a senator sitting in the chamber who
doesn’t know how he or she is going to vote and unless some new evidence
emerges, Donald Trump will not be impeached by two-thirds of the Senate.
Democrats expect a political bonanza from impeaching Trump.
They believe that by getting all the “facts” on the record, they will make the
American people so disgusted by Republicans that the party will be virtually
destroyed. However, anyone who contemplated leaving the Republican Party has
left already. A trial of Trump won’t change anyone’s minds or lead to
additional defections.
The real audience for impeachment will be the frothing,
rabid anti-Trump hysterics in the Democratic Party who don’t think defeating
Trump at the polls is enough. He must be publicly humiliated. They want a pound
of flesh and will hold Democrat’s feet to the fire to make sure they wring
every ounce of Trump-hate from the trial that’s possible.
Unity now. Unity forever!

Iran continues to try and penetrate Israel through soliciting terrorists and may have been responsible for recent explosions in India:
Infiltrate Israel, Recruit Spies and Sow Terror
Iran has been engaged in years-long efforts to infiltrate Israel, set up terror cells within its
borders and in the Palestinian territories, and carry out terror atrocities
against Israeli civilians and infrastructure, Israeli news site Walla reported on Sunday:
The effort, the report
states, began with the 1997 appointment of Qassem Soleimani as head of the
Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps’ Quds Force. Soleimani developed a strategy
of infiltration, terrorism, subversion, and imperialism that reached the Middle
East and beyond — including ambitions to infiltrate Syria, take over Lebanon,
and install terror cells as far away as Europe and Africa.
Soleimani, who was
killed last January in a US drone strike in Iraq, was actively attempting to
infiltrate Israel as early as 2012, when three West Bank Palestinians were
arrested by Israel’s Shin Bet and admitted under interrogation that they were
Iranian agents.
The men were recruited
via Hamas, and had secretly visited Iran via foreign countries to receive
extensive military and terrorism training. The interrogation revealed that
other Palestinians, mainly Hamas operatives, were also being trained there.
While there, the recruits had been visited by, among others, top Hamas leader
Khaled Mashaal.
These activities appear
to be connected to the IRGC’s Unit 400, which was established by Soleimani in
2011 and is composed of terror cells that reach as far as Gambia and Belgium.
The report detailed a
litany of Iranian and Iran-sponsored attempts in recent years to infiltrate
Israel, apparently as part of the activities of Unit 400.
In August 2013, an
Israeli citizen was arrested for collaborating with Iran, and revealed under
interrogation that he had met with an Iranian agent in Berlin in 2011.
Eight months later, a
Belgian national was arrested at Ben Gurion Airport and found to be in
possession of photographs of the US Embassy in Israel. He confessed to the Shin
Bet that he was an Iranian agent and had been sent to Israel on an intelligence
mission.
In January 2018, the
Shin Bet uncovered an Iranian intelligence infrastructure in the West Bank, run
by an agent based in South Africa. In 2019, an attempt to establish another
such network was thwarted by the security agency, this time involving a
Jordanian businessman who had entered Israel in order to create an
infrastructure for terror attacks
Also in 2019, a major
Iranian attempt to recruit agents in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza was
uncovered. It was operated from Syria, which is now largely controlled by Iran,
and used social media in order to make initial contact with potential agents.
Following the
assassination of Soleimani, Iran vowed revenge against Israel as well as the
United States. In March 2020, an Israeli civilian was arrested on charges of
spying for Iran. He was told to provide information on, among other things,
security and strategic areas, deepening divisions in Israeli society, and how
terrorist activities could be undertaken.
In June 2020, the Shin
Bet busted a terror squad from the Popular Front for the Liberation of
Palestine that was revealed to have been funded and trained by Iran and
Hezbollah. And in September 2020, an east Jerusalem man was arrested after
being recruited by the Quds Force and Hezbollah.
An Israeli security
official with connections to the Shin Bet told Walla that
Iranians activities in this realm are “characterized by sophistication and
technique at the highest level.”
Israel's primary goal:
Expose Iran's true colors
At this crucial juncture, as the US appears
poised to re-enter nuclear talks with the regime in Tehran, Israel has a vested
interest in proving that Iran is connected to Friday's bombing in New Delhi.
Defense officials in
Israel believe Iran is behind Friday's bombing near the Israeli Embassy in
New Delhi. The working assumption is that the attack was carried out
by contractors as revenge for the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh,
head of the Iranian military nuclear program, near Tehran on Nov. 27.
Israeli and Indian
officials are treating the incident as a terrorist attack despite its
exceedingly amateurish nature. The explosive device was placed relatively far
from the embassy and exploded on Friday at 5 p.m. – after Shabbat had already
begun and much after most of the embassy staff had already left (aside from
those on special weekend duty).
Assuming it was a
terrorist attack, it indicates the low level of the perpetrators' expertise.
The first step in any operation of this sort is to gather intelligence about
the target. On regular weekdays, embassy employees indeed leave work at around
5 p.m., but the Friday protocol is basic and trivial information that eluded
the attackers and testifies to their lack of professionalism. Even the bomb
itself was improvised and appears to have been hastily made and
detonated.
Iran's impressive
operational capabilities across the globe are overseen by the Islamic
Revolutionary Guard Corps, via the clandestine Quds Force, whose previous
commander, Qassem Soleimani, was assassinated in a US airstrike in Baghdad last
year. In the early part of the previous decade, Soleimani spearheaded a broad
Iranian effort spanning the globe to avenge a series of assassinations of
Iranian nuclear scientists, which were attributed to the Israeli Mossad.
Attacks were foiled in
Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Thailand, where Iranian agents, who had
built bombs in their home-made lab, were arrested. They were apprehended 24
hours after the wife of the Israeli Defense Ministry's attache to India was wounded
in a bomb blast near the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi. Several months later,
the Iranians were able to carry out a lethal attack in Burgas,
Bulgaria, which left six Israeli tourists dead.
It was Hezbollah, Iran's
most capable and dangerous protege, that orchestrated the terrorist attack in
Bulgaria. Meanwhile, an unknown group calling itself "Jaish-ul-Hind"
claimed responsibility for Friday's attack. Now this group is the focus of the
joint investigation launched by Israel and India. The Indians have already
vowed to keep Israel in the loop entirely, and from past experience, we can
assume that Israeli defense officials have already departed for India to aid
the investigation.
Israel has a vested
interest in proving that Iran is connected to the attack. It is a dramatic
event at a dramatic point in time, as the US appears poised to re-enter nuclear
talks with the regime in Tehran. Israeli officials believe a return to the
original deal signed in 2015 would be a "disaster," and fresh
information about Iranian involvement in a terrorist attack could help Israel
persuade the new administration to adopt a more aggressive approach to Iran.
The Iranian logic –
assuming Tehran is indeed responsible for the bombing – is less obvious.
Although the mood in Iran is tempestuous following the series of assassinations
and attacks attributed to Israel,
pursuing revenge at this juncture seems like a very dangerous risk from their
perspective. Unlike the past, and due to the years of terrorist attacks carried
out by the Islamic State group, the world these days has zero-tolerance for
terror. While a high-profile terrorist attack with mass casualties would send
shockwaves across the globe and score the regime points at home for
rehabilitating Iran's eroded pride, it would likely harm them strategically.
In the past, the
Iranians have miscalculated in this regard. It's possible that someone in
Tehran assumed it would be possible to evade direct blame by using a seemingly
anonymous group to do its bidding. This will be the focus of the investigation
now: to determine who perpetrated the attack itself, and subsequently, who sent
them. For Israel, this piece of the puzzle is of utmost importance and
justifies the considerable investment of resources in an effort (which might
not succeed) to expose the Iranian regime.
