Israel To Release Unseen Footage of Hamas Attacks To Counter ‘Holocaust Denial-Like’ Skepticism About the Depravity Displayed
‘I can’t believe I am saying this and I can’t believe that we as a country are having to do this,’ says an Israeli spokesman, Eylon Levy.

The government of Israel will take the extraordinary step of sharing raw video recovered from Hamas terrorists who slaughtered more than 1,400 of its citizens on October 7 in an effort to tamp down what it called a “Holocaust denial-like phenomenon evolving in real time” by people “casting doubt on the magnitude of the atrocities that Hamas committed against our people.”

A spokesman for the Israeli government, Eylon Levy, said in a video posted to Twitter late Sunday that the government will screen the video Monday for foreign journalists “who can stomach the horrific truth and want to report on what they saw.”

“Unfortunately, and I can’t believe I am saying this and I can’t believe that we as a country are having to do this,” he says in the video. “The government press office will screen for foreign media, gruesome and as yet unseen footage of the barbarities perpetrated against our people on October 7.”

Mr. Levy said the video was recovered from the bodies of Hamas terrorists who slaughtered as many as 1,400 people, including women and children, and took hundreds of others hostage two weeks ago. The video has not yet been seen by the public, he added, and was recorded by the terrorists in order to glorify the violence.

Across Europe on Sunday, hundreds of thousands of protesters took to the streets of major cities to protest the war. Some marched in support of Israel, others to decry the ongoing war in Gaza.

In London, thousands of people holding posters with the images of the more than 200 Israelis and other nationals still being held by Hamas in Gaza filled Trafalgar Square for a vigil calling for their release. The United Kingdom’s communities secretary, Michael Gove, was among those who called the attacks an act of “unparalleled evil and barbarism,” according to the Associated Press.

“We must stand together against it. We must stand for life. We must bring the hostages home,” Mr. Gove said.

A day earlier, however, a much larger crowd — estimated by police to be up to 100,000 — marched through the British capital to demand that Israel halt its war against Hamas. Those marching could be heard praising “Jihad,” or holy war, and proclaiming “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” and referring to Israel as a “terrorist state.”

For the second consecutive weekend, similar protests filled the streets of Europe’s capitals, among them Rome, Berlin, and Paris. Police officials put the pro-Palestinians crowd in Paris — where authorities banned such protests earlier in the week — at nearly 15,000.

Despite widespread reports from survivors and the anguished testimony of those charged with recovering and identifying the victims of Hamas’ massacre, social media and other online forums have been filled with claims that Israel is exaggerating the extent of the depravity it witnessed two weeks ago.

Experts at Israel’s National Center for Forensic Medicine, known as Abu Kabir, are said to have been overwhelmed with emotion this week as they described parents and children being tied together before being set on fire while still alive, babies and others beheaded, and widespread signs of torture of the victims before they were murdered.

Reaction to the Israeli government’s plans to release footage of the attacks veered from grudging acceptance of the necessity of the move in order to counter propaganda from Hamas and their sympathizers in the West to dismay and concern for the families of the victims.

“So this is what it has come to,” the chairman of the Spectator magazine and a prominent British television presenter, Andrew Neill, posted on Twitter shortly after Mr. Levy’s announcement. “The only way to confront and refute the deniers of the Hamas Holocaust on October 7 is to show Hamas’s own footage of their barbarity on that terrible day. So be it.”

MEF Poll Finds Israelis Massively Support Eliminating Hamas

By Greg Norman

News from the Middle East Forum

A poll commissioned by the Middle East Forum finds overwhelming support among nearly all sectors of the Israeli public to eliminate of Hamas.

When asked the question "what should Israel's primary objective" be in the forthcoming war, 70 percent of respondents answered "eliminate Hamas." In contrast, 15 percent answered "secure the unconditional release of captives held by Hamas" and 13 percent answered "disarm Hamas completely." Revealingly, 54 percent of those who said they voted for the Arab party in the last election also favored eliminating Hamas.

"It is clear the public is calling overwhelmingly for the elimination of Hamas; nothing short of that will be considered a victory," notes Nave Dromi, director of the Middle East Forum's Israel Office. "The decision-makers now have the statistics to demonstrate where the citizens of Israel stand on these issues; Israelis call on them to act accordingly."

When poll respondents were given the option of launching a ground operation in Gaza to eradicate Hamas or avoid a ground operation and find another way to deal with Hamas, 68 percent chose a ground operation and 25 percent the latter solution.

On the issue of international pressure, when respondents were asked about how much Israel should take into consideration its foreign allies, 43 percent responded that Israel must consider the perspectives of allies, particularly the United States, on security matters, while 55 percent responded that Israel should ignore external demands and make its own security decisions.

When asked, "Which do you see as key mistakes leading to the catastrophic failure on October 7?" with more than one answer permitted, 27 percent replied, "a military that relies too much on defensive measures," 29 percent replied "poor intelligence capabilities," 49 percent responded "misconduct by the political echelon," and 29 percent replied "the wrong 'concept' about Hamas."

There were mixed responses on the "day after" question. When asked "Who, in your opinion, should rule Gaza after the overthrow of the Hamas regime?" 24 percent said Israel, 24 percent said "new leadership in Gaza," 22 percent replied the Palestinian Authority, and 19 percent the Arab states.

The idea of making concessions to the Palestinians in exchange for normalization with Saudi Arabia finds little favor. When asked, "If Saudi Arabia demands significant concessions to the Palestinian Authority by Israel as the price for formal ties, should Israel agree to these?" 72 percent of the Israeli public said no, 21 percent said yes.

The poll, the widest and most in-depth on the Israeli public's attitudes towards issues relating to the war on Israel, was conducted by Shlomo Filber and Zuriel Sharon through Direct Polls Ltd on October 17, 2023. 1,086 adult Israelis (over the age of 18) were sampled with a statistical sampling error of 4.0 percent.

The Middle East Forum, a non-profit organization, promotes American interests in the Middle East and protects Western civilization from Islamism. It does so through a combination of original ideas, focused activism, and funding allies.

Personal Comment:

I know the former Gov of S.C is gaining momentum and I also know  Democrats damaged DeSantis with their Trump like, weaponization  attacks. I also know both Trump and DeSantis (to a far lesser degree) made comments that hurt their causes. Both Trump and DeSantis (again, to a far lesser degree) have personalities that either irritate or are not warm and fuzzy.

That said, there is something about Haley that does not ring true. Furthermore, any objective examination of DeSantis's personal achievements, his educational and military background are basically stellar.  His solid record as a Governor, distorted by Democrat hack's  and efforts to sway with misinformation, are mostly lies.

Would you prefer to live in New York, Illinois, California, Pennsylvania and/or Massachusetts, setting weather aside, than Florida? Ask yourself that famous question: 'Would you be better off ?'  My son said no and got out of Pennsylvania, moved his family to Hollywood, FL and admires their state government, the way DeSantis conducts himself and is decisive. I dare say, our Florida daughter feels mostly likewise.

DeSantis remains my nominee but I would vote for any conservative over any progressive hypocrite Democrat, Islamic sympathizing fascist Democrat (he Squad) or just your common ordinary variety weak knee Democrat who bowed to Obama or supports Biden.  Levin is right. The Democrat party truly hates America and opposes everything that makes America unique. They have become a true dangerous threat to our nation and, if allowed, will preside over the death of more Americans with their continued fentanyl and border abuse than even Xi  or illegal Islamist terrorists intend.

Call me crazy but, I do believe, if someone says they want to kill me, I would be foolish not to believe they mean to at least try.

Biden has assembled a large number of ships, planes and special forces. Will he use them to deter Iran, protect Israel should they need to defend on several fronts?  Time will tell. So far Biden and his weakened Pentagon cadre of advisers have not impressed me.

The NYT's, (the bible of Liberal Jews)  after proving they were the mouthpiece of Hamas regarding the hospital bombing, finally recanted. They must have been terribly disappointed to find they were over their skis.
