"The Enemy Is Us." Impeachment Inquiry Justified. The Deck Must Be "Cleared." Dumb Beyond Logic.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Rumors continue to float about Michele running for the Oval Office as the situation with Biden's ability to win deteriorates.

She certainly would make it more difficult for Trump, should he be the candidate. Women would probably vote for her, certainly liberals, who loved her husband, would vote for her and more black single mothers would probably vote for her.

Personality would take over driving voter motivation rather then what to do about the serious decline in our nation's welfare as well as the major challenges to our nation's growing impotency.

Once again, the battle lines would be between Trump's ego and Michelle's qualifications and contempt for America.

I would, again,  remind you of what POGO had to say: "The enemy is us."

To show you how little thought we frequently give to what candidates tell us about their views and/or their political history, when it comes to voting, I will cite 5 facts:

1) We totally disregarded Obama's desire to transform America. We did not have a clue as to what he meant.

2) We totally disregarded the impact of defunding the police, keeping our borders open and the impact of sanctuary cities.  We also rushed to embrace Black Lives Matter and throw money at this clever intimidating fraud.

3) We never considered Biden's total failure in  past decision making and the despicable manner in which he allowed Justice Thomas to be treated.

4) Recently the current Governor of New Mexico decided she had the authority to disregard her oath of office and constitutional responsibilities simply because she chose to respond to a crisis of her own creation.

5) We completely disregarded the ability of Soros, with a relatively small amount of money, to radically alter the enforcement of our laws by District  and State Attorneys.

All of the above, among other facts, have changed America in ways we may never recover from and which drive nails into the beautiful government we were left to uphold by our Founding Fathers.

If Trump is the GOP nominee and he were to win, the argument against is we would enjoy 4 more years of chaos.  The reason this has credence is because the same radicals who tried to destroy his presidency would be at it again.  It is the only way they fight against the threat of their regaining power. They care not a whiff about what their monumental illegalities and efforts to destroy are doing to our nation.  Win, at any cost drives their actions.

Yes, "Woe is us."

Furthermore, fascist/Marxist Democrats are doing everything in their power to stiff the pursuers of facts in the Biden inquiry. Then assert, with a straight face, the various GOP committees in pursuit of Biden have not connected him to Hunter's ill gotten largesse.

They are utterly full of gall and shameless. They have perfected the ability to stonewall the opposition and then claim innocence.

They are like the kid in a candy store who steals a piece of candy holds it in his clenched fist and denies he is holding anything.

Why an Impeachment Inquiry

Lawmakers will need more firepower to gather further crucial information on Biden.

By Kimberley A. Strassel

House Republicans are embroiled in an internal debate over the politics of launching an official impeachment inquiry to learn more about Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s financial misdeeds. The better question isn’t whether they should, but why it is likely necessary.

That’s the case Oversight Chairman James Comer, Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan and Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith are making to their caucus, and they have a compelling argument. Their investigations have turned up evidence that Vice President Biden was involved in Hunter’s dealings, and that the unsavory gains of those transactions might have benefited the Biden clan. Yet the documents necessary to answer definitively the question of whether there was corruption remain out of reach, and access may hinge on bringing full impeachment powers to a coming high-stakes legal fight.

Why engage in an impeachment inquiry? Without it, the country may never get the truth.

Understanding the stakes requires a deep dive into where the investigation stands now—what’s been obtained, what it shows, and what’s still needed to complete the probe. The Oversight Committee took the lead in chasing the money trail, and Mr. Comer, a former banker, pursued a deliberate strategy. Aware that no court would likely grant access to Biden family banking records on the mere suspicions of Republican investigators, the chairman started building a body of evidence based on more easily obtainable documents.

His team started by going through the U.S. Treasury’s “suspicious activity reports” related to the Biden family (including Hunter and his uncle James) or Biden associates. Banks create these reports when they see a transaction fishy enough to suggest possible illegal activity, and one complaint is that financial institutions, in an overabundance of caution, generate too many of them. Still, it would be rare for the average American—even a high-flying businessman—to generate more than a few. Hunter and his pals racked up 170.

The suspicious-activity reports allowed Mr. Comer’s team to unravel the complex web of shell companies run by the Bidens and their business associates. They then issued subpoenas for the bank accounts of these associates and of the shell companies they directed alone or jointly with Hunter. That allowed the investigators to nail down the many shady sources of some $20 million in foreign payments—Ukrainian energy firm Burisma, a Chinese entity, Russian oligarchs, Kazakh and Romanian businessmen. It also allowed them to document how money flowed first to Hunter associates, then on to Hunter via more shell companies.

Along the way, other committees turned up evidence to corroborate these suspicious bank findings. The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s infamous 1023 form—recording a confidential informant’s claims of a bribery scheme involving Vice President Biden, Hunter and a Burisma executive—contained details that jibed with the fact pattern Mr. Comer’s team was establishing via banking records. Two Internal Revenue Service whistleblowers provided testimony and documents about Hunter’s tax history that tracked with the Comer team’s findings. As did the testimony of Hunter business partner Devon Archer. National Archives emails revealed Joe Biden’s use of pseudonyms on email accounts that sent Hunter details of the vice president’s interactions with foreigners.

But the easy fruit has now been plucked, and the important answers are still locked away. The record so far demonstrates huge payments to Hunter pals, followed by complex funneling to Hunter accounts. But what happened then? Did money flow directly or circuitously to Joe Biden? Or to overseas accounts? We don’t know that crucial information because the Comer team hasn’t so far attempted to gain access to Biden family personal bank accounts, or the accounts of businesses directly controlled by Hunter. Knowing they would face stiff pushback from the Biden legal team, the committee first wanted to build a solid case for gaining access.

Even with that evidence, the bar for accessing Biden family information will be high. The committee has laid out a legislative purpose (evaluating existing ethics laws) for its Biden investigation to date. But courts have historically proved more willing to honor congressional demands when they are made as part of an impeachment inquiry. Judicial deference may also prove crucial if Republicans hope to win some ugly legal fights with the executive branch over equally important documents from the IRS, the FBI, the National Archives and other agencies.

The White House (and the media) keep changing the definition of what counts as Joe Biden’s culpability in aiding his son’s influence peddling, and have now settled on the line that there is no evidence “directly linking” Hunter’s business dealings with his dad. But it’s notable the lengths to which the Biden administration and Biden family have gone to deny House investigators the documents they would need to determine whether such evidence exists. That fight will become even more vicious as the probe moves into its next stage. House Republicans will need all the firepower they can get

There Is Evidence for an Impeachment Inquiry

There’s plenty of reason to keep investigating the Biden family business.

Say this for the Biden White House: It knows its media audience. It was thus no surprise that after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced the opening of an impeachment inquiry this week, White House spokesman Ian Sams gave the press its marching orders.

“It’s time for the media to ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an inquiry based on lies,” he wrote in a memo to news outlets. Much of the press proceeded to report that Republicans have “no evidence” to justify investigating the President.

It’s true there’s no proof so far that the President cashed checks from foreign sources. But there’s plenty of evidence that son Hunter and others in the Biden family received millions of dollars from foreign partners who believed they were buying influence with his father. The House has good reason to follow these leads about a President who is asking to remain in office for another four years.

Kentucky Rep. James Comer, the House Oversight Chairman, this week outlined the evidence that Republicans have already gathered. It’s some list.

Former Hunter business partner Devon Archer says Joe Biden was “the brand” being sold, and that as Vice President he participated by speakerphone with Hunter and his business associates at least 20 times, and that he also met or dined with Hunter and his foreign associates. These included Russian oligarchs, a Ukrainian executive being investigated for corruption, and a Chinese business partner for whose daughter Mr. Archer thinks Joe Biden wrote a college letter of recommendation.

We also know that Vice President Biden okayed talking points on the Ukrainian company Burisma supplied by Hunter business associate Eric Schwerin. We know the State Department’s George Kent warned Mr. Biden in 2015 that Hunter’s presence on the board of Burisma was being used to undermine America’s anti-corruption message.

An FBI informant has told the bureau that Mykola Zlochevsky, Burisma’s CEO, paid $5 million each in bribes to Hunter and Joe. This hasn’t been corroborated. More recently we learned that Hunter business partner James Gilliar emailed Hunter and other associates that 10% of a deal with Chinese energy firm CEFC was to go to the “big guy.” Former Hunter business partner Tony Bobulinski has said the big guy was Joe Biden.

The Biden money trail goes through at least 20 shell companies; the Vice President used different email pseudonyms; and at least 170 financial transactions related to Hunter or Joe’s brother James Biden were flagged to Treasury as suspicious. A pair of IRS agents, Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, told Congress that the Justice Department undermined their investigation into Hunter Biden’s emails and tax filings.

Mr. Biden has obfuscated all of this from the start, such as denying in a 2020 campaign debate that his family had received money from China. He also invoked a phony talking point cooked up by 51 former intelligence officers to declare Hunter’s infamous laptop Russian disinformation. His administration has stonewalled House efforts to get the information it seeks and has now set up a war room to fight an inquiry.

Starting an inquiry doesn’t mean it will end in impeachment, and there’s not enough evidence so far to justify such a step. But to say there’s no cause for investigation is to deny the reality of all we’ve learned about the Biden family business.

The Biden/Kamala Dam is starting to crack and the water is beginning to widen the fissure. Democrats who want them out will soon begin to learn the fury of a woman scorned.  Kamala will not go without a fight along racial lines. Biden might become more vulnerable because corruption lurks and circles like a vulture overhead.

When the inner circle makes their decision they will unleash the mass media. However, they need Biden to hold on until the end because he cannot fold his cards and allow Kamala to finish the game. The "deck" must be cleared.

The biggest issue facing our military is the dumbest management of  the Pentagon we have ever had as is Biden's flakey Press Secretary.  The degree of incompetence Biden has brought into government, because he wants to touch all social, sexual and race bases, is beyond logic. Competence is the least important reason.  Perverts who steal dresses from luggage are in and competent managers are out.
