It Wasn't Just a Raid on Trump. We're on the Edge of Tyranny

By Kurt Schlichter

Democrats love it when government is spending money.  There is nothing more counterproductive. wasteful and history shows this to be so but they do so to buy votes and in order to stay in power.

+++++++++++++

The continued attacks on Trump have given the mass media the opportunity, as if they needed any, to display their biases. Even worse, it has given them the opportunity to both show their ignorance of our system of law as well as their hatred of our nation.

Obama's AG was corrupt and now Biden's is equally corrupt.

America is being attacked from within and without.

Our Republic is being wounded with a thousand stabs because Democrats want to continue to control their power, are fearful of losing their grip on such but have nothing else to offer voters so theft of the next election is their only option and Republicans are likely to allow it to happen.

The 2024 Election Is Being Rigged Right Now In Plain Sight

BY: JOHN DANIEL DAVIDSON

The FBI raid on Trump’s home isn’t just about prosecuting the former president for Jan. 6, it’s about fixing the next presidential election.

The news cycle this week has been understandably dominated by the FBI’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, where armed agents were supposedly looking for classified documents the FBI believes were improperly removed from the White House at the end of Trump’s term, in violation of federal law.

But the FBI raid is just a piece of a much larger story that’s playing out in slow motion and in plain sight: the rigging of the 2024 presidential election.

Much like the 2020 election, which wasn’t stolen so much as rigged months in advance to give Joe Biden an advantage that all but guaranteed his victory, the 2024 election is being rigged to ensure that Trump either cannot run or, if he does run, cannot win.

First, consider the FBI raid. No serious person believes that a documents dispute was the real purpose of the raid. The idea that the FBI would search the home of a former president and potential 2024 GOP candidate over an ongoing (and not uncommon) disagreement over presidential records with the National Archives is absurd on its face.

In his brief and self-congratulatory press conference Thursday, Attorney General Merrick Garland said he personally authorized the search on Trump’s home, that the Justice Department “does not take such a decision lightly,” and that it always seeks to use a “less intrusive means as an alternative to a search, and to narrowly scope any search that is undertaken.”

But if that were true, it more or less rules out the theory that the FBI was looking for classified documents. The disagreement between the National Archives and Trump has been ongoing for months, and Trump’s lawyers have been cooperating with the relevant authorities. Raiding Trump’s private residence over that — and in the process triggering a political crisis — makes zero sense.

As some expert observers have pointed out, including my colleague Margot Cleveland, a far more plausible explanation is that the FBI was perhaps on a fishing expedition, looking for evidence that could implicate Trump in the Jan. 6 riot. It’s no secret that Democrats and the Jan. 6 Committee want Garland to charge Trump with “seditious conspiracy” in hopes of making it impossible for Trump to run in 2024. In that case, a documents dispute with the National Archives would be nothing more than a flimsy pretext to get into Trump’s residence and look for incriminating evidence related to Jan. 6.

The raid and its possible role in the schemes of the Jan. 6 Committee, though, are part of a larger effort underway to recreate the conditions of 2020, just in case Trump escapes indictment and does run. This week, Twitter announced it would begin enforcing its Civics Integrity Project for the 2022 midterms: “This means we’ll take action against misleading claims about the voting process, misleading content intended to intimidate or dissuade people from participating in the election, or misleading claims that may undermine public confidence in elections outcomes.”

And what that means, in light of Twitter’s past behavior around election time, is that anyone who questions the voting processes or outcomes, however justifiably and no matter what irregularities are afoot, will be shut down by Twitter.

The targets here are painstakingly clear: Trump voters who believe, rightly, that the 2020 election was riddled with irregularities, last-minute changes to voting rules, and absentee ballot fraud. The best way to understand Twitter’s midterm elections policy, which is itself a preview of its 2024 policy, is that anyone who complains about universal absentee voting, ballot harvesting, remote ballot drop boxes, loose voter ID rules, or any other Democrat-favored policies that are known to make elections less secure will be silenced on Twitter.

Why? Because Democrats plan to run the same play in 2024 they ran in 2020, and their allies in Big Tech don’t want anyone pointing it out.

The irony here is that Twitter itself was perhaps the single greatest source of disinformation in the 2020 election. By quashing the New York Post’s valid and verified Hunter Biden laptop story just weeks before the election, and then locking the Post’s account (along with some people who tried to tweet the Post’s reporting on the laptop, including White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany), Twitter arguably tipped the balance of the election. It brazenly hid a story from its users that, had they seen it, would have been quite damaging to Biden and certainly would have caused some people to change their votes.

In addition to the machinations of Big Tech, nonprofit groups run by Democrat operatives have not stopped their schemes to boost voter turnout in Democrat-heavy areas under the guise of nonpartisan voter registration drives and voter roll update efforts.

As my colleague Victoria Marshall reported this week, a voter-roll management system used by 31 states and the District of Columbia is sharing voter registration data with the Mark Zuckerberg-funded Center for Election Innovation and Research (CEIR), one of two leftist groups that funneled $419 million to local election offices for the purpose of driving up Democrat voter turnout in 2020.

The system, called the Electronic Registration Information Center, or ERIC, is supposedly a convenient tool that simply allows states to update their voter rolls. But its real purpose, according to a recent report by independent research group Verity Vote, is to boost Democrat voter turnout by forwarding state voter roll data, including records from unregistered voters, to CEIR.

As Marshall reports, “CEIR then develops targeted mailing lists and sends them back to the states to use for voter registration outreach. As part of their agreement with ERIC, states are not allowed to disclose any data they send to nor receive from ERIC, however, ERIC is not under the same constraints and is able to work with CEIR.”

In addition, it seems ERIC doesn’t exist to purge or update voter rolls so much as to inflate them, identifying 17 million new voters in 2020 compared to purging just 3 million from state voter rolls. Despite its failure to clean voter rolls, a majority of states are still using the system, which is run by a left-wing activist named David Becker. The purpose of ERIC by now is clear: It’s not about cleaning voter rolls but identifying and registering likely Democrat voters. And 31 states are using it.

This is just a sampling of what’s happening right now. The FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence has rightly captured headlines and provoked outrage this week, but understand that the same powerful people, companies, and nonprofits that conspired to rig the 2020 election are right now rigging the 2024 election, using many of the same tactics. They’re doing it because they think they can get away with it — and if Republicans don’t act now to stop them, they certainly will.

BREAKING: FBI Raid Warrant Demanded Seizure Of Literally Any Record Trump Ever Saw During 4-Year Presidential Term

BY: TRISTAN JUSTICE

The FBI search warrant authorizing a government raid of former President Donald Trump’s Florida residence sought an exhaustive list of any White House records the president ever came in contact with, according to the document obtained by The Federalist.

Outlining the “property to be seized” by the more than 30 agents who rummaged through the former president’s Mar-a-Lago mansion, the warrant demanded confiscation of any document Trump ever saw, read, or created for the entirety of his four years as commander-in-chief.

“All physical documents and records constituting evidence, contraband, fruits of crime, or other items illegally possessed in violation” of federal statutes governing records possession, the warrant reads, were to be seized. Records extended to “Any government and/or Presidential Records created between January 20, 2017, and January 20, 2021.”

In other words, had Trump written something down on a napkin, federal officials were authorized to raid the former president’s home and capture it.

The affidavit allegedly asserting probable cause has not been made available to the public by the DOJ or the federal court that sealed it. The search warrant was signed on Aug. 5 and gave authorities two weeks to conduct the unprecedented raid. The federal magistrate who signed the warrant previously donated thousands to former President Barack Obama. Attorney General Merrick Garland, whose Supreme Court nomination was invalidated after Donald Trump became president in 2017, acknowledged that he personally signed off on the raid in a Thursday press conference. Garland also claimed the search was conducted with a narrow scope.

“First, I personally approved the decision to seek a search warrant in this matter,” Garland said. “Second, the department does not take such a decision lightly. Where possible, it is standard practice to seek less intrusive means as an alternative to a search, and to narrowly scope any search that is undertaken.”

On Monday, three days after the warrant was signed, FBI officials conducted the hours-long raid of the 128-room estate which reportedly included an intrusive search of former First Lady Melania Trump’s wardrobe. While ostensibly executed under the pretext of violations of the Presidential Records Act, a law that rarely results in prosecutions, the raid has become the latest episode of Democrats weaponizing the Justice Department to go after political opponents, with Trump at the top as public enemy No. 1.

According to Fox News, law enforcement officials say they confiscated classified documents. Trump, however, says documents were declassified.

“Number one, it was all declassified. Number two, they didn’t need to ‘seize’ anything,” the former president said on TruthSocial. “They could have had it anytime they wanted without playing politics and breaking into Mar-a-Lago. It was in secured storage, with an additional lock put on as per their request… They could have had it anytime they wanted–and that includes LONG ago. ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS ASK. The bigger problem is, what are they going to do with the 33 million pages of documents, many of which are classified, that President Obama took to Chicago?”

Migrant-loving lefties live in a Dreamerworld

Who are the “Dreamers” in America? In recent years the term has been used to describe young people who have been brought to America illegally. But — taking a leaf from the Democratic playbook — I would like to suggest a change of use. From now on can we use the term “Dreamers” to describe anyone who believes that this country’s border system can go on as it is?

The sort of people who think that it is sustainable to have millions of illegal immigrants flood into the United States every year. The people who think that having any border at all is basically bigoted.

Such views used to be held only by a “progressive” fringe. But today they are mainstream on the Democratic side. That is how far the Democratic Party has moved.

It isn’t so long ago that they thought differently. In 1996 the party´s platform said, “Today´s Democratic Party also believes we must remain a nation of laws. We cannot tolerate illegal immigration and we must stop it.” Just consider the difference between that platform of only a quarter of a century ago and the same party today. Today that statement would be said to be “restrictionist,” bigoted and probably racist.

‘Asylum seekers’

In only a few decades illegal migrants have become “undocumented migrants,” “Dreamers” and much more. The Democratic Party has moved from worrying about illegal immigration toward encouraging it. As they did when they stopped construction of the border wall. Like their left-wing counterparts in Europe, they seem to believe that anyone trying to break into the country is an “asylum seeker” and that countries like the US have a duty to take in anyone in the world who wants to move here.

Just one of the problems of this is that it is unsustainable. A fact that is finally hitting Dem politicians where it hurts. On their own doorstep.

It used to be so easy for leftists in Washington and New York to talk the mantras of the day. “No human is illegal” became one of the fatuous slogans of our day. Say that you wanted a wall on the southern border and you were a “nativist.” Say that you were opposed to it and you got virtue points.

All this did was to encourage the flow of illegal migrants across the southern border. In a poll last year, members of the progressive left said — by a whopping 86% — that they agreed with the phrase “People who have immigrated into the US illegally generally make the communities they live in better.” They said that because for them it was all just theory. Only people in places like Texas had to experience it in reality.

Well now we are all getting that opportunity. And the left’s ideas about open borders are suddenly being tested across the nation.

Governor Greg Abbott of Texas is completely within his rights to try to distribute migrants around the country. If politicians in Washington are going to grandstand about migration then why should it only be Texans who suffer the consequences?

So the buses have started to arrive. In DC and New York. And even though this is just a taste of what could come, already left-wing officials in both cities are grandstanding and whining. Radical leftists like New York City Council member Shahana Hanif are actually encouraging the move. This week she boasted about standing at the Port Authority Bus Terminal to “welcome asylum seekers.” Note the change of language there. On their bus journey to New York these people turn from illegal immigrants to “asylum seekers.”

Other New York officials are complaining that the whole thing is unfair on them. Since May, New York has received over 4,000 illegal immigrants from Texas. You can see the results at the DHS shelters in the city, where Central and South American families with large numbers of children hopelessly wander in and out. You can see it at the city’s homeless shelters, which are now feeling the strain from all these people from outside the state. And it isn’t as though everything was easy in New York before this.

Some of the migrants who Mayor Adams says are overloading the city's homeless shelters have no ties to NYC.

But what did the left-wing open-borders people think would happen? New York is straining under a few thousand illegal migrants being added to the city. But that is just a few hours of the illegal immigrants coming across the southern border. Where were they meant to go?

History repeats itself
For me this brings on some terrible déjà vu. Because I saw this happen once before, in Europe during the 2015 migration crisis.

Then, as now, the continent’s southern border was open. Then, as now, people who just wanted a better life started to flood in. And because the left’s narrative held, for a time, the borders opened up. Suddenly every economic migrant from Africa and the Middle East was called an asylum seeker. Soon the thousands of migrants turned into hundreds of thousands and then millions. Yet that transformative year in Europe is now an average year in numbers of people illegally entering the US.

Then, as now, people in the places where the migrants arrived bore the brunt of the left’s policies. But soon the migrants had to be dispersed elsewhere. They were sent north to Germany, Scandinavia and the other countries that had boasted about their open-border ideals.

Bags of humanitarian supplies are seen outside Port Authority Bus Terminal as migrants arrive in New York City.

What do you think? Post a comment.

It didn’t take much of this first-hand experience of illegal migration to change minds. Soon enough all the economic and social problems of unlimited illegal immigration hit home and the borders closed back up.
