America's Leadership Has Sunk. Hoover Dailies. Pays To Be A Bread.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
American leadership has declined for a variety of reasons. I will offer four:

1) Nixon's activities and Clinton's behaviour with Monica lowered ethical standards.

2) Attacks on reputations of those who serve has reduced the number of qualified who refuse to subject themselves to what they must endure.

3) The mass media have turned the job of serious reporting into a circus of entertainment so more no longer understand the seriousness of what it means to rule a country. Politics has been downgraded in terms of competence after a series of buffoons have become president. Even a bartender can rise in prominence, after Obama both served and was re-elected.

4) Expectations of accomplishments have been reduced to where no one expects anything worthy therefore, this lowers the bar of competence.

The hellish ruins of American leadership

If reports of Biden's latest concessions to Iran are true, this comes close to treason

By Melanie Phillips

One shouldn’t be surprised, of course; but it’s hard not to be astounded, horrified, shocked to the very core by the lengths to which the Biden administration is reportedly going to surrender America and the free world to the Islamic revolutionary regime of Iran.

Two weeks ago, an attempt was made to murder the author Sir Salman Rushdie, who has been living since 1989 under an Iranian regime fatwa ordering his killing, by a Muslim devotee of the regime who repeatedly stabbed Rushdie on a New York stage where he was about to deliver a talk.

Two days previously, a member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) terror network was charged with soliciting the assassination in Washington DC of the former US National Security Advisor, John Bolton. The same man also reportedly offered $1 million for the murder of the former US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo.

Now it appears that Iran is moving towards accepting the terms of the nuclear deal laid down by the European Union acting in effect as a proxy for the United States, which has bent every sinew to secure such a deal ever since President Joe Biden arrived in the White House.

On Gatestone, Khaled abu Toameh reports the extreme alarm in the Arab world about this deal. He quotes  Sayed Zahra, deputy editor of the Gulf's Akhbar Al-Khaleej newspaper, who accuses Biden of being in collusion with Iran and says that the alleged breakthrough appears to have occurred after Biden decided to waive two pre-conditions:

“First, Biden decided to waive the demand to include Iran's terrorist role in the region in the talks [in Vienna],” Zahra wrote. “Biden decided not to address this issue at all, nor the role of terrorist militias affiliated with Iran in the Arab countries.” The second demand Biden gave up, according to Zahra, includes the issue of Iran's ballistic missile program and the threat it poses to the security and stability of the region and the US itself and its interests.

Good grief. Last month, the IRGC said Iran had ballistic missiles capable of turning New York into “hellish ruins”. If this account of Biden’s concession is true, then it really does begin to look like the Biden administration is committing something very close to treason.

By dropping the two demands, “Biden has practically decided to acquiesce to Iran and its entire terrorist expansion project in the Arab region,” the influential newspaper editor argued.

“This is a dangerous development. The issue is not whether the agreement is signed or not. This is no longer important. The issue is that the Biden administration made its choice between Iran and the Arab countries in this way. The matter is not limited to these concessions made by Biden; there is something more dangerous than this: Biden has completely abandoned the Arabs, allies and non-allies alike”.

The Times of Israel  reports that a senior US official confirmed to it that Iran dropped its “red line” demand that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps be removed from a terror blacklist. However, the Biden team is clearly trying to hose down Israeli alarm. The paper writes:

US officials have in recent days told Israel’s leadership that a new nuclear deal is not imminent and that Washington has not agreed to any new concessions to Iran in order to reach an accord, the Walla news site reported Saturday, citing senior US officials… The outlet sites senior Israeli officials as saying conversations between Israel and the US have become “difficult” in recent days as an accord becomes likelier. “We are not calm,” one official says. “On the contrary, we are very worried”.

You bet. This report on Iran International details a leak of other concessions said to have been made to Iran by the Biden administration. It says:

A leaked report on alleged remarks by Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator obtained by Iran International, provides details on “concessions” Iran claims to have received from the US. The leaked report is from a closed-door briefing Ali Bagheri-Kani provided to journalists in Tehran in recent days.bThe length and breadth of points mentioned by Iran’s chief negotiator show a multitude of concessions by the United States, but it does not include references to what Iran has agreed to do, to return to compliance with 2015 nuclear deal, the JCPOA.

Biden appears to have ignored the fact that it was in his own country that the Iranian regime’s fanaticism inspired an American-born man to try to take Rushdie’s life. He has ignored the fact that it was in his own country that an Iranian terrorist tried to procure the murder in the US capital of a former US official and a former Secretary of State.

Of course he ignored these developments, just as he has ignored the repeated acts of aggression by the Iranian regime, including against America’s own interests in response to the administration’s concessions to Iran to secure this deal. Just as he has ignored the increasingly urgent public statements by the International Atomic Energy Authority that Iran is continuing to refuse to grant international inspectors access to its nuclear site and that Iran’s nuclear programme is “galloping ahead”.

It’s clear by now that the Biden administration knows Iran has lied through its teeth but doesn’t care. Whatever heinous acts Iran performs or inspires, the Biden team just doesn’t care.  It remains determined to do this deal.

Yet any kind of deal is by now meaningless even in terms of delaying the Iranian bomb. For Iran is virtually at nuclear weapons breakout point already. It doesn’t need a deal. It has acted unilaterally, and will continue to do so unless it is stopped.

So why does the Biden team want to do this now entirely one-sided “deal”? Why does it want to release billions of dollars through sanctions relief to swell the coffers of the world’s most lethal terrorist state to expand its genocidal and anti-western activities? As I reported here, the Biden administration is actively facilitating an evil alliance between Iran and Russia. Why?

It’s hard to avoid the conclusion that America is now not only abandoning its allies in the Middle East — Israel and the Gulf States — but is actively taking the side of Iran, a terrorist state that has been in a self-declared war against the west since it came to power, has murdered countless westerners and is sworn to remove Israel from the map.

Next month Iran’s President, Ebrahim Raisi, is due to come to the United States in order to address the UN. Raisi has been under US sanctions since November 2019 for “complicity in serious human rights violations”. Not surprisingly, Pompeo has called on the administration to deny him an entry visa. Raisi’s presence in New York would be an absolute disgrace, make a mockery of the UN’s supposed founding ideals and further empower the Iranian regime.

Deny him a visa? Given the behaviour of the Biden administration towards Iran, it will probably bring out the bunting for him instead.

So Massachusetts is ranked 3rd. highest in welfare distribution??? Beating even California and NYC!

Have you ever wondered why very few Hawaiians

are working when you visit those islands?

All but a few states on the following list are

strongholds, so go figure!

The Cato Institute released an updated 2016 study

showing that welfare benefits pay more than a

minimum wage job in 33 American states, and the

District of Columbia.

Even worse, welfare pays more than $15 per hour

to stay home in 13 states. According to the study,

welfare benefits have increased faster than minimum

wage. It's now more profitable to sit at home and

watch TV than it is to earn an honest day's pay.

Hawaii is the biggest offender, where welfare

recipients earn $29.13 per hour, or a $60,590 yearly

salary for doing nothing.

Here is the list of the states where the pre-tax

equivalent 'salary' that welfare recipients receive is

higher than having a job:

01.          Hawaii: $60,590

02.         District of Columbia: $50,820

03.         Massachusetts: $50,540

04.         Connecticut: $44,370

05.         New York: $43,700

06.         New Jersey: $43,450

07.         Rhode Island: $43,330

08.         Vermont: $42,350

09.         New Hampshire: 39,750

10.         Maryland: $38,160

11.         California: $37,160

12.         Oregon: $34,300

13.         Wyoming: $32,620

14.         Nevada: $29,820

15.         Minnesota: $29,350

16.         Delaware: $29,220

17.         Washington: $28,840

18.         North Dakota: $28,830

19.         Pennsylvania: $28,670

20.         New Mexico: $27,900

21.         Montana: $26,930

22.         South Dakota: $26,610

23.         Kansas: $26,490

24.         Michigan: $26,430

25.         Alaska: $26,400

26.         Ohio: $26,200

27.         North Carolina: $25,760

28.         West Virginia: $24,900

29.         Alabama: $23,310

30.         Indiana: $22,900

31.         Missouri: $22,800

32.         Oklahoma: $22,480

33.         Louisiana: $22,250

34.         South Carolina: $21,910

Hawaii, DC, and Massachusetts pay more in welfare

than the average wage folks earn there.

Is it any wonder that they stay home rather than look

for a job.

It is time for a drastic change.  Most Americans are not stupid.

Note that California is $18.50 an hour.

Now if you think that's bad, read about these salaries:

Salary of retired United States Presidents - $180,000 FOR LIFE!

Salary of House or Senate - $174,000 FOR LIFE!

Salary of Speaker of the House - $223,500 FOR LIFE!

Salary of Majority/Minority Leader - $193,400 FOR LIFE!

Average salary of a teacher - $40,065.

Average salary of soldier DEPLOYED IS - $38,000.
