Hoover Article. Feckless Democrats Give Republicans A Lay Up. Nothing New. Israel Strikes Closer Than Usual, Is NATO Following Through?

Green Pacifism Goes To War

by Josef Joffe via Project Syndicate

Germany’s antiwar Greens, now in government, are leading the country into growing resistance against Russian President Vladimir Putin’s imperialism. Owing to the party's rapid evolution, the German government is finally sending heavy weapons to Ukraine.

The radical, feckless Democrats have given Republicans a lay up but it seems Trump stands in their way, specifically regarding the Senate..

I like it that Trump is a fighter and won't take crap, that, as president he put America first as any president in his right mind would/should.

Yes, based on a record of historic achievements, Trump should have won in 2020. But he did not and he made his own contribution as to why he did not ie. he is his own worst enemy. So not being a politician and thereby, not being a Party type person he should stand aside but his ego is too large and he cannot find a way to make the right decision both for the Republican Party but, more importantly, for the nation he professes to love and I believe does.

You have to have a big ego and believe in self to even think about being a president.  He proved all the experts wrong because, having worked with workers and the forgotten man, he knew their temperament, their frustrations, their down to earthiness etc.

Where he made his first big mistake was believing he could take on the Georgetown/DC elites and drown them in their own swamp. Then, to compound matters, he went after the intelligence elites. In both cases his ego was far larger than his ability.

Obama was able to accomplish where Trump failed because he was black and elites are sensitive about raining on black parades.

Obama proved a total disaster and we are still paying for his arrogance and incompetence. Trump was too good in terms of acheiving what he said he would do when he campaigned so Biden had to tear down his "wall" and now we are paying for that as well. It is as if Reagan had resurrected in the guise of Biden.

So our republic totters between a lying, corrupt, mentally and physically challenged semblance of a man and a charging bull challenged by a "uge ego" and everything red.

A  De Santis/Pompeo ticket is the prescription our republic needs at this juncture and Trump stands in the way because he cannot swallow his pride and become a statesman.

North Korea is ‘Ready to Use Nuclear Weapons’

BY  ISP EDITOR

North Korean state media announced that the country is “ready to use nuclear weapons” in a potential conflict with South Korea or the United States.

North Korea’s dictator made this bold proclamation during a speech to commemorate the 69th anniversary of the Korean War. According to the Korean Central News Agency Kim issued this provocative and sobering statement. “Our armed forces are completely prepared to respond to any crisis, and our country’s nuclear war deterrent is also ready to mobilize its absolute power dutifully, exactly, and swiftly in accordance with its mission.”

All of this comes as satellite images and experts at the Center for Strategic and International Studies warn that the country is on the verge of its first nuclear test since 2017.

The North Korean dictator stated in April that he is willing to use Nuclear weapons pre-emptively. He stated that if a foreign force threatened his nation, he would be willing to strike. Kim boasted of his “firm will” to continue developing his nuclear weapons program. The dictator also said that he would “preemptively and thoroughly contain and frustrate all dangerous attempts and threatening moves, including ever-escalating nuclear threats from hostile forces, if necessary.”

The nation has also successfully tested missiles with the potential to reach both the South Korean and United States mainland.

The BBC Reports:

North Korea’s Hwasong-14 has a potential range of 8,000km – although some studies suggested it could travel as far as 10,000km if fired on a maximum trajectory.

This would give Pyongyang its first truly intercontinental ballistic missile, capable of reaching New York

North Korea would be foolish to bomb the United States or any of its allies. Not only is their military decades behind ours, but they would also have little to gain from such a conflict, on their own. What is a cause for concern is their relationship with China amid these threats. In 2019, China and North Korea strengthened their naval relations and signaled potentially greater partnerships in the future. With China conducting joint military drills with Russia, there are real concerns of a rising axis power as tensions rise between the east and the west.

It’s unlikely that an all-out conflict would start anytime soon, but the threat looms. If anything, it should serve as a reminder that the American military, values, and integrity must remain strong.

Did Israel send a message to Russia about Iranian ties with latest strike in Syria?

An Aug. 14 Israeli strike came within three kilometers of a Russian base, closer than normal strikes would come to Russian assets in Syria.

By   ARIE EGOZI

TEL AVIV: When a shipment of Iranian-made missiles, transiting through Syria, were struck in Aug. 14, it seemed like just another routine and officially uncredited strike by Israel against weapons heading to Hezbollah in Lebanon. But the location raised eyebrows: just outside the Russian-controlled port in Tartus.

The strikes, according to Israeli military sources, hit roughly three kilometers from the Tartus base, a leased military installation of the Russian Navy located on the Mediterranean sea. Russia was given roughly five minutes warning via a deconfliction line before the strikes, launched from both sea and from planes in Lebanese air space, hit the target; the strikes resulted in the deaths of three Syrian soldiers, per media reports, but no Russian casualties. Putin Told To Retreat Or Be Annihilated By Ukraine

(JustPatriots.com)- Last week, USA Today reported that Ukraine’s Defense Ministry warned Russian forces in Kherson to “retreat or be annihilated.”

The Ukrainian military has been using US-supplied High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) with great effect in its fight against Russia. Last Wednesday, Ukrainian officials said HIMARS severely damaged a bridge over the Dnipro River that was vital to Russia’s supply lines in occupied Kherson.

Russia had been relying on the bridge to transport personnel and equipment to Russia-occupied territories in eastern Ukraine.

In boasting about its successful strike on Twitter, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry told the Russian “occupiers” in Kherson, “Retreat or be annihilated by #UAarmy. The choice is theirs.”

According to a spokeswoman for Ukraine’s Operational Command South, the strike was not intended to destroy the bridge, only to make it impossible for Russian forces to use it.

Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin said his forces would begin striking new targets in Ukraine if the West continues supplying the country with weapons. And while he didn’t mention HIMARS, there is no doubt this is the weapons system causing the most damage to Moscow’s war effort.

A senior Pentagon official recently told reporters that Ukraine has used the US-supplied HIMARS to great effect, destroying over 100 “high value” Russian targets, including ammunition depots, long-range artillery positions, command posts, air-defense sites, and radar and communications nodes.

Ukraine Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov announced last week that HIMARS have destroyed 50 ammunition depots thus far.

Two weeks ago, the Pentagon announced it was sending an additional $175 million in equipment to Ukraine, including another 16 HIMARS along with more anti-armor weapons, four new command post vehicles, and 36,000 rounds of 105-mm ammunition to be used in the Howitzers donated by the UK.
