-----Yesterday, minding my own business, patiently, waiting for the light to turn green, even though there was no on-coming traffic.
A carload of scruffy-bearded, young men shouting Anti-American slogans with a half-burned American Flag duct-taped on the trunk of their car and a "Remember George Floyd" slogan spray painted on the side stopped next to me. Suddenly, they yelled, "Defund the police!" and took off before the light changed.
Out of nowhere, an 18-wheeler came speeding through the intersection and ran, directly, over their car, crushing it, completely, and killing everyone in it. For several minutes I sat in my car thinking to myself, "Man... that could've been me!"
So today, bright and early, I went out and got a job as a professional truck driver.

EXCLUSIVE: New emails reveal Hunter Biden asked for $2 million plus 'success fees' to help unfreeze Libyan assets

Two previously unpublished emails sent by business contacts of Hunter Biden indicate that the president's son requested an annual retainer of $2 million to help recover billions in Libyan assets frozen by the Obama administration.
The emails, obtained by Insider during reporting on an unrelated matter, are not connected to the controversial emails from Hunter Biden's laptop, which his supporters have claimed were distributed as part of a disinformation campaign. And while it appears from the new emails that the Libya deal was never consummated, the documents offer a window into the mechanics of Beltway influence peddling, and the stock that was put in Biden's political connections — particularly his relationship with his father, who was vice president at the time.
The first email, dated January 28, 2015, was sent from Sam Jauhari, a Democratic donor with businesses in the Persian Gulf, who was helping spearhead the Libya project. It was addressed to Sheikh Mohammed al-Rahbani, another Obama campaign donor involved in the proposal. In the email, Jauhari is frank about what Biden would bring to the table, and what he says Biden wanted in return:
Per phone conversation I met with #2 son. He wants $2 per year retainer +++ success fees. He wants to hire his own people - it can be close circle of people for confidentiality. His dad is deciding to run or not.
His positives are he is Chairman of UN World Food Program, son of #2 who has Libya file, access to State, Treasury, business partner SofS [Secretary of State] J. [John] Forbes K [Kerry] son and since he travels with dad he is connected everywhere in Europe and Asia where M. Q. [Muammar Qaddafi] and LIA [Libya Investment Authority] had money frozen. He said he has access to highest level in PRC [China], he can help there.
His negatives are that he is alcoholic, drug addict - kicked [out] of U.S. Army for cocaine, chasing low class hookers, constantly needs money-liquidity problems and many more headaches.
We should meet in Gstraad or London to decide next steps.
At least one aspect of Jauhari's assessment of Biden is erroneous: Biden was discharged from the Navy Reserve, not the Army, and it was never confirmed that Biden's positive test for cocaine was the reason. But the tally of his "positives" reflects a keen sense of what he could offer the project. Biden's position at the United Nations meant he enjoyed face-to-face access to heads of state. In his memoir, Biden recalls a sit-down with King Abdullah II of Jordan. "The only reason the king had agreed to meet," he wrote, "was out of respect for my dad. I guess you could chalk it up to nepotism, in the best possible way."
Biden's apparent offer to provide "access to the highest level" in the Chinese government is also telling. China, which was attempting to strengthen its position in Africa, had been a particular source of frustration for Libya's new government, which was struggling to free up $15 billion in foreign assets that had been frozen by Obama during the Qaddafi regime. In 2013, according to The New Yorker, Hunter Biden had traveled with his father on an official visit to Beijing, where he had arranged for the vice president to briefly meet one of his business partners in the lobby of the American delegation's hotel.
Then-Vice President Joe Biden poses with Sam Jauhari in front of two flags.

Such access may, in fact, have been worth the price that Biden was cited as quoting. Two people close to the negotiations told Insider that the "$2 per year retainer" mentioned in the email meant $2 million. "My recollection was that anything that had to do with Hunter started at $2 million," said one. Jauhari and his partners, according to other documents obtained by Insider, expected to pocket as much as 5% of whatever sanctioned money they could free up for Libya. That meant a possible payday in the hundreds of millions. It's unclear whether any "success fees" for Biden would have been pegged in some way to those proceeds.
The second email, dated February 26, 2016, indicates that the talks with Biden continued into the following year. In it, Jauhari and al-Rahbani receive a report by John Sandweg, a Washington lawyer who had served as acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement under Obama. Sandweg had reached out to Biden's team about the Libya deal:
I spoke with HB's team yesterday. They are interested in the project, but emphasized that for them to get involved, the team (lobbyists, lawyers and PR) would need to be a small group of folks they have a tight relationship with. They do not want a large group involved and they only want people with whom they have a close relationship with due to the sensitivities surrounding their involvement.
Sandweg, who at the time was working at a law firm called Frontier Solutions, confirmed that he was in touch with one of Biden's associates about the project. "They indicated they would consider it and I passed the message back," he told Insider. "Jauhari wound up hiring a different law firm instead."
Neither Jauhari nor an attorney for Hunter Biden responded to Insider's requests for comment. The White House declined to provide a statement. Martin Auerbach, an attorney for al-Rahbani, said his client "has no recollection of seeing those emails contemporaneously" and "knows to a certainty that he never spoke to and has no recollection of talking about Hunter Biden."
In the past, both Joe and Hunter Biden have repeatedly said they never discussed the younger Biden's clients, and there is no evidence that Hunter Biden ever used his relationship with his father to deliver anything of substance for his clients. But what the emails do offer is a glimpse into the way influence peddling works in Washington. Both Jauhari and al-Rahbani were mid-tier political donors who had paid handsomely to attend Obama-Biden campaign events, where Jauhari posed for photographs with both Obama and Biden. Even if Hunter Biden couldn't provide them with direct access to his father, they understood his name could help win the backing of influential officials and investors. When it comes to opening doors in Washington, the illusion of access can be as valuable as hard currency.
The emails are also striking for what they reveal about the dual mindset of Beltway insiders who take part in such deals. Both Jauhari and Sandweg discuss Biden's potential involvement in the Libya project as a straightforward business proposal. At the same time, they make reference to "confidentiality" and "sensitivities," demonstrating an awareness that Biden's involvement could complicate his father's potential run for the White House. There is no mention of ethics, only optics.
As for the emails derived from Hunter Biden's laptop, some of which deal with his well-compensated efforts as a board member of Burisma, a Ukrainian gas company, neither the Biden family nor the White House has come forward to challenge their authenticity. "The Bidens," a new book released on Tuesday, confirms that at least some of them are genuine.
And:
U.S. Intel Reportedly Told Twitter “Rumors” Biden Was Hacked, Before Twitter Deleted Content
(JustPatriots.com)- Twitter is desperately looking for excuses to explain why it censored the New York Post story about Hunter Biden’s laptop in the weeks running up to the last presidential election – and it looks like they’ve finally found it.
After the Federal Election Commission strangely found that Twitter didn’t violate election laws by hiding and suppressing the story, which revealed shady details about President Joe Biden’s connections to business deals made with China that profited from his position as vice president, a Twitter spokesman claimed that they were responding to information from U.S. intelligence.
Yoel Roth, the head of Twitter’s Site Integrity Team, said that American intelligence officials had told Twitter of “rumors” that Joe Biden was in danger of being hacked – which they claim is the reason that they censored the story of Hunter Biden’s laptop under the platform’s “hacked content” story.
At the time, Twitter was widely criticized as the Hunter Biden laptop was obtained legally, and the files within it were not published as a result of hacking. The laptop was handed to the FBI, and to journalists, by a Delaware computer repair store owner who was in legal possession of the laptop after it was abandoned by the son of the former vice president.
According to Chuck Ross of The Washington Free Beacon, Roth used the “rumors” from U.S. intelligence to suppress the story.
The FEC released documents on Wednesday related to its decision to dismiss the complaints against Twitter alleging that the platform broke election laws. All members of the commission voted to dismiss the complaint, claiming that Roth’s testimony was sufficient to prove that the platform acted in response to “rumors that a hack-and-leak operation would involve Hunter Biden.”
If that’s the case, then it indicates that U.S. intelligence forces could have actively been working to suppress the story.
What do you think the chances are that this will ever get fully investigated?

De-funding for Iron Dome Defensive system overridden but not after a bruising fight and exposing anti-Semitic radical members of Democrat Party. When will liberal Jews wake up and smell the odor of burnt flesh?
How a budget standoff demonstrated the partisan split
over Israel
The refusal of left-wingers to go along with a bill that included funding for the defensive Iron Dome system is being spun by Democratic leaders as a momentary tactical blip. It isn’t.
(September 23, 2021 / JNS) The Iron Dome missile-defense system has long been one of the least controversial aspects of the U.S.-Israel relationship. Funding for the idea was approved in principle by the George W. Bush administration in 2007 after the Israel Aerospace Industries and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems conceived the project. It was an answer to the heavy missile fire from Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza that Israel faced in 2006. The Iron Dome would give Israel the ability to shoot down the rockets and missiles shot at its villages, towns and cities. That meant that each time those terrorist groups chose to escalate the conflict, Israel wouldn’t be obligated to send forces over the border to stop the launches.
The purely defensive aspect of Iron Dome is why the Obama administration went all in on funding for the project. Obama was besotted with the idea of forcing Israel to accept a Palestinian state, as well as concerned about not ruffling the feathers of his preferred nuclear negotiating partners in Iran who give Hezbollah its orders. He was for anything that he thought might restrain Israel from pursuing aggressive policies against terrorism emanating from Hamas-ruled Gaza or Lebanon. That it also allowed him to pose as Israel’s friend, despite his antagonism for it, was merely a political bonus that he and other Democrats who understood how popular the Jewish state is with most Americans were happy to collect.
Israel gets $3.8 billion in defensive aid from the United States yearly. But almost all of that must be spent in America. That means the aid package has, in fact, become a federal handout to U.S. arms manufacturers as much as anything else. Iron Dome, however, is funded separately. And that is why it became the focus of a complex but ultimately revealing political tussle.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi faced a problem this past week when attempting to pass a stopgap bill to keep the government funded. She knew that Republicans were unalterably opposed to her decision to raise the debt ceiling again. While the GOP has been similarly profligate when it comes to spending the public’s money, the Biden administration’s hard-left ideological turn and plans for a vast expansion of entitlements and spending makes fiscal compromise impossible.
So in a cynical plan to embarrass the Republicans, she threw into the bill something that her opponents would find hard to resist: funding for Iron Dome. Had her party gone along with it, Pelosi and other Democrats would have been able to crow about Republicans voting en masse against Iron Dome and Israeli security, which is the moral equivalent of motherhood and apple pie for the 21st-century GOP.
But she never got the chance. That’s because a significant portion of her own party said that they would refuse to vote for the bill if Iron Dome was included.
The most prominent member of the left-wing “Squad,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), has been vocal about wanting to cut aid to Israel and her more overtly anti-Semitic comrades—Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.)—agreed that there was no way they would vote to fund a system that shoots down terrorist rockets.
Nor were they alone. The ranks of “The Squad” have expanded since the 2020 election. Radicals like Reps. Cori Bush (D-Mo.) and Jamal Bowman (D-N.Y.) have joined their ranks, echoing their anti-Israel rhetoric. Veteran left-wingers like Rep. Betty McCollum (D-Minn.) have also been increasingly vocal about wanting to end the alliance with Israel.
Pelosi’s margin of error in a House where she has a razor-thin majority over the Republicans is small. Had it just been “The Squad,” she could have ignored them. But the increasingly leftist tilt of the Democratic caucus is no longer a matter of a few loudmouth publicity hounds. The popularity of intersectional ideology, which falsely identifies the Palestinian war against Israel with the struggle for civil rights in the United States, and the influence of critical race theory, which similarly misidentifies the Jewish state as a beneficiary of “white privilege” over “people of color,” has altered the political landscape on the left.
Many Democrats, including the House leadership, still identify as, and to a large extent, actually are friends of Israel. But as the negotiations over the inclusion of the Iron Dome funding proved, they are not only incapable of controlling their caucus, but it is the supposedly marginal radicals who call the shots when push comes to shove.
That’s the only way to interpret the situation faced by Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer. They wouldn’t have the votes to pass their bill by a party line vote if they kept Iron Dome in it. With the assistance of Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.), a veteran liberal who is chair of the crucial House Appropriations Committee, the anti-Israel faction sent a clear message to Pelosi and, as she had in the past two years when Omar was about to be censured by the House for anti-Semitism, the speaker folded and removed it.
Subsequently, Hoyer vowed to bring back Iron Dome funding in a separate bill. And, though nothing in this dysfunctional Congress is a certainty, Hoyer’s bill is likely to pass. One way or another, U.S. funding for Iron Dome is likely to continue.
That’s why the Israeli government, which is desperate to woo support from Democrats, has chosen not to make too big a deal of the incident, with Foreign Minister Yair Lapid doing his best to sound as if it didn’t matter.
The problem here is not the fate of a funding measure that was, from its start, a tactical political maneuver more than anything else. It’s that the left actually chose to make an issue of an Israeli defense system.
As many who are liberal critics of Israel but still claim to support its right to exist, pointed out, attacking Iron Dome funding would seem to be the weakest possible argument for foes of the Jewish state. As a purely defensive weapon, it saves lives—both Jewish and Arab—by preventing terrorist projectiles from hitting the civilian targets at which it is aimed. As Obama originally hoped, its effectiveness also makes a ground attack against Gaza less likely every time Hamas decides to try to enhance its credibility with the Palestinian street by trying to cause Israeli casualties, as it did in May.
But as the arguments from not just the congressional radicals but the avalanche of support they got on liberal Twitter showed, the increasingly influential left-wing of the Democratic Party doesn’t care about any of that. They think that preventing terrorists from killing Jews (and Arabs) with rockets gives Israel an unfair advantage. They believe that Israel should be essentially disarmed and forced to give in to the demands of its enemies. Instead of showcasing their desire to promote peace, their dislike of Iron Dome illustrates their hostility to the existence of a Jewish state, no matter where its borders are drawn.
Far from being an unimportant kerfuffle, the Iron Dome squabble is just one more indication of a sea change in the Democratic Party as the younger and more popular left-wingers are beginning to edge out the senior citizens (Pelosi is 81 and Hoyer 82) that lead them in the House aside. Try as some might, including the Israeli government, it’s not possible to pretend that a party being pushed around by anti-Zionists and anti-Semites, like those in “The Squad,” on funding issues and that openly advocates for appeasement of Iran can any longer be considered pro-Israel. Resisting this trend is the duty of the many supporters of Israel who remain loyal Democrats; still, it would be dishonest to pretend that their struggle is anything but uphill and increasingly likely to fail in the long run.

As for me, I seldom ever send a contribution to an out of state politician. I recently did to Allen West because he is a good friend and, more importantly, imminently qualified to run for any position he seeks.
I am violating my general rule because I believe it is imperative we run the rascals out of office, return government to "we the people" types and, by rascals, I mean Democrats. I am willing to consider a small contribution to those candidates who seem literate and whose views align with my own.
Therefore, I am making a modest contribution to this Pastor and Colombian-American waitress running for Congress. I will be sending modest checks but must wait a few days because I ran out of checks and must await a new box.
I am not a Republican, just an old southern lonely Jewish conservative repelled by the current leaders in the Democrat Party who have allowed radicals to speak for them, appointed these radical anti-Semites to positions of importance and demonstrate they are willing to kiss their behinds, AKA Pelosi, Schumer and their ilk.
I am even more disgusted with liberal Jews who are unwilling to wake up because their commitment to the Democrat Party transcends threats aimed at their own existence. I am amazed at how blind they are to reality.
A perfect example is evidenced by this "drech" son of a former Senator and apparently a dream Representative of J Street.
As a friend: 'said who needs enemies, we grow our own.'
Congressman files two-states act that restricts Israeli use of US arms
The bill would make it US policy to view "the West Bank, including east Jerusalem, and Gaza, are occupied territories."

Richard,
When a black parent has a child, they have a choice. They can either teach them that they are the descendants of slaves and will be systemically oppressed because of the color of their skin; OR, they can raise them with hope and help shape their dreams.
I refuse to raise my children constantly reminding them that their ancestors were slaves over a hundred years ago. Instead, my children will grow up knowing that they’re from a line of lawyers, doctors and successful Americans whose drive and initiative took them far in life.
But the Democrats will do anything to stop parents like me from teaching their black children that the American dream is attainable.
That’s why I am running for Congress, to prove to my children and yours that black Americans are free: free to chase our dreams, to be the best parents we can be, to run for office and to above all else, think freely.
I will no longer allow the Democrats to control Black Americans like myself. The color of my skin does not make me a victim, nor does it bind me to one political party and their ideologies.
That’s why I am running for Congress, to prove to my children and yours that black Americans are free: free to chase our dreams, to be the best parents we can be, to run for office and to above all else, think freely.

We should be raising our children on hope and freedom. A child raised in fear will be an adult living in fear and this is what Democrat organizations, like Black Lives Matter want. They achieve control by instilling fear and negativity in our children, and even adults.
If America doesn’t wake up and see that racist organizations peddled by Democrats, like BLM are a cancer in our society, I fear our coming generations of black children will remain enslaved to the Left’s agenda.
Richard, I need your help. I don’t believe in handouts, but I don’t have the resources to reach Americans with my message, unlike the Democrats who are funded by dark-money dollars and Hollywood millionaires.
Can I count on you to chip in $5 or $10 right now to help me bring change to Washington? With your help, I can show our children that black Americans can think freely and do not have to fall victim to the Democrats’ control because of the color of their skin.
