Does Biden lie because he is insecure? Does he believe he is a nothing, always has been a nothing and longs to be a something? For most people, being president is something but for Biden it seems to create a need to rise above that role. One could argue they way he has handled the role in only 8 months he has turned being president into a disgrace.
Perhaps he is simply mentally deranged and thinks he was at places he wanted to go to but never got there.
In any event, The White House has turned into the home of The Whopper!

WASHINGTON — President Biden did not visit the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh after the murder of 11 congregants — despite saying so, the White House admitted Friday.
Biden on Thursday told Jewish leaders that he remembered “spending time at” and “going to” the Tree of Life, but the synagogue told The Post he never visited.
Nearly 24 hours after being asked about the discrepancy, a White House official said in a statement that Biden “was referring to a call he had with the Tree of Life rabbi in 2019.”
Biden’s initial false statement received widespread criticism and was featured in segments on CNN and Fox News.
The 2018 mass shooting at the Tree of Life was the worst anti-Jewish hate crime in US history.
Biden has a reputation for making false or embellished claims and dropped out of his first presidential campaign in 1988 due to a plagiarism scandal. But at nearly 79 years old, his mental acuity also is a frequent matter of public debate.
In one infamous misstatement, Biden in 2020 claimed he “had the great honor of being arrested” in South Africa when he was “trying to get to see [Nelson Mandela] on Robbens Island,” where Mandela was in prison until 1990. He said Mandela thanked him for it.

Biden later admitted, “I wasn’t arrested, I was stopped. I was not able to move where I wanted to go.”
Biden dropped out of the 1988 Democratic presidential primary due to a plagiarism scandal. He admitted plagiarizing a law school paper and was exposed for using without credit lines from British Labor Party leader Neil Kinnock.
However, Biden struggled with his memory at the Thursday event.
The president could not recall the name of the song “Hava Nagila” while speaking about his daughter’s wedding to a Jewish man, saying, “My mind is going blank now, what’s the song that is played where everybody is on the chair? I can’t remember it.”
Although Biden incorrectly said he visited the Tree of Life, the congregation’s rabbi, Hazzan Jeffrey Myers, indicated there were no hard feelings in a statement released by the White House.

“President Biden kindly called me on my cell phone as I was sitting in Dulles Airport awaiting a return flight to Pittsburgh after I testified before Congress in July 2019,” Myers said.
“In a heartfelt way, he extended his condolences and asked how we were doing. We spoke about the challenges of antisemitism, and he made clear he would confront it with us as president. The conversation meant a great deal to me, and I will always be grateful for his kind words and continued support of our community.”
Then-President Donald Trump visited the Tree of Life three days after mass shooting. Trump was joined by prominent Jewish members of his administration, including his daughter Ivanka Trump, his son-in-law Jared Kushner and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.

My folks promised they would give me a check for $1000 if I did not smoke until I was 21. My mother and dad were chimneys. So I did not smoke until I was in my early 20's and stopped cold turkey in my early 40's and have not smoked since. I just made up my mind to keep my word to Lynn as she has to me.
I learned today, however, that during the period I smoked I did damage my lungs and probably some of my medical issues relate to the residual effect. I was never a heavy smoker, seldom inhaled because I really did not like smoking.
None of my immediate family smoke and I pray the young ones will not succumb to peer influence.
I had no reason to begin smoking and quit because Lynn and I said we would when we married.
My first wife smoked and perhaps that influenced me. Neither of my three girls smoked though, as I noted, their mother did.
There is nothing redeeming about ingesting smoke in your lungs. Do not do it.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Today news reports indicate 6 charter planes,, loaded with passengers, have been waiting to depart an airport several hundred miles from Kabul. Reputedly, they are loaded with Americans who want out but apparently The Taliban have begun their hostage demands and are deterring the planes from leaving. From what I hear, nothing can be affirmed because we no longer have a ground presence in Afghanistan and this news was derived from satellite pictures.
When you capture an embassy and hold hostages those who worked there it is easier to report facts as happened in Iran when Carter was president. We have no accurate count how many Americans are stuck in Afghanistan, whether they want out, have families and the same goes for Afghanistan's who assisted us because Biden, apparently, wanted to meet an arbitrary celebratory deadline blah, blah, blah.
I wrote it was only a matter of time before the hostage chit would be played and now events seem to be at that stage. Biden and America will be further humiliated as The Taliban milk/leverage their advantage . As Biden continues to repeat his evacuation was a purposeful success he will appear increasingly out of touch with reality, if that is possible. His poll numbers, which mean little at this point, will continue downward and it will have an effect on the market as well.
Will our military have to go back into Afghanistan on a rescue mission? Biden might take a page from Israelis who seem pretty good at accomplishing such missions. Bibi lost his brother in one such circumstance.
Stay tuned as this drama unfolds and allows the mass media plenty of stuff to report. They should eat this story up so it will be interesting to see how they report the facts. Protecting Biden will be difficult and "Hidin Biden" will challenge Jennifer Psaki .

Religious wars are special unto themselves and when it comes to radical Islamism that is what we are facing and will for an eternity. Until the last radical Islamist is dead they will have every reason/motivation to see America as the Big Devil and every incentive to attack and threaten us.
In addition, a new alliance among China, Russia and Iran is forming and this one is also directed at America but has a broader scope which hopes to encompass/ensnare all Western democracies.
The prospects are bleak until such time as we rid America of the currently composed Democrat Party, rid ourselves of espousers of various theories aimed at every American institution and that will take some serious doing if even achievable. First, this involves a mind set change, a willingness to become active and will demand strenuous efforts to undo decades of progressive policies that moved America away from our founding principles and ethos ie. work hard, save for a rainy day, be responsible for one's actions, be patriotic and willing to make sacrifices because of love of and pride in country.
Corny sounding, huh? But these are the eternal verities on which our nation was founded and they served us well and caused us to prosper. Then the radical worms took over with their insane ideas that had sucker appeal because we let down our guard and were too busy thinking the weeds of socialism were greener.
American values and attributes were eliminated and left on the cutting floor as the rot of socialism infused our thinking and impacted our vulnerable society weakened by Viet Nam, and previously sustained deficits created in helping the world recover from WW 2 as we reluctantly took on the role of world leadership. Because we came through WW2 , more or less unscathed, we were the only nation that could assume that role.
Yes, we also benefitted from playing this role but it caused us to lose sight of the fact that we mistakenly thought we were omnipotent.
We now find ourselves politically divided, bleeding financially, socially confused and frustrated and, most importantly of all, poorly led. Both our political and military leadership are failing us as they wander of into the morass of fighting social windmills bordering on insanity ie. which bathroom to use, color over competence, America the systemic racially evil nation, a new name for Potato Head, kneeling when the anthem is sung and how can we call teams by "offensive" names like Indians, Braves. Even corporate America's executives entered the unwinnable fray of teaching sensitivity nonsense and so it goes.
While this is occurring we allowed The Taliban to become powerful with American military treasures, China keeps building their war machine, expanding their Silk Road Influence etc.
By now you may be tired of my constant warnings, my "realistic" pessimism and criticism of Biden and his despicable, dangerous party. Rest assured I am not going to change my tune as long as I perceive the threat is real.

Jason Campbell, the former director for Afghanistan in the Office of the US Secretary of Defense for Policy, said: ‘The geostrategic effect could be profound.”
“China, Russia, and even Iran could benefit from the new political order in Kabul,” Campbell added.
Campbell, a researcher at Rand Corporation, had told The Sun Taliban may be able to fly the aircraft seized during the US withdrawal from Afghanistan by threatening American trained pilots.
He also warned that the “biggest concern” is that the small arms and weapons left behind get into the wrong hands.
