Commerce Report. Election Status. Kemp Fund Raiser Comments. Post Fetterman Debacle. Increasing Iranian Instability. Rove on Democrat Message. More.

The Commerce Department is expected to release a GDP report today that says the economy grew in July, August and September. But don't celebrate just yet. What seems to be an improvement is largely a result of fluctuations in inventories and international trade, which don't reflect the underlying health of the economy.

Israel will soon be having it's 5th, I believe, election in the past year or so and, of course, Britani just had much the same think.  Our own id term is going to be a mixed bag.

The message I receive from all of this is confusion, lack of solutions and voter frustration.

The most BIbi seems to be able to get is 60 to 61 seats which means he continues to be sitting in a hot one.

It's the final week before Israel's elections. Are there likely to be any last minute surprises? Could they tip the balance in favor of either bloc?

Wednesday night I attended a successful fund raiser for Gov. Kemp where he raised $250,000 from an enthusiastic crowd.

Kemp gave a relaxed talk and focused on how he followed the science not the politics, kept the state more or less open, opened the schools so  kids got more of a consistent education. The state is enjoying it's second year of excess revenue and next year he plans to cut real estate taxes and will keep the eliminated  gasoline tax so the savings go directly to Georgians unlike Stacey who would grow government.  He contrasted this with what Stacey would have done and will do, .  He remains very supportive of the police and keeping the criminal element out of the state.

Kemp has been a good common sense governor but must overcome the 50.1 % of  the vote hurdle and we do have a third independent candidate that  always picks up 2 to 3% of the vote total and that often mucks things up particularly when the 2 main candidates run a tight campaign as I expect will be the case.

Stacey has blundered, in my opinion, and shown her "red tinged" stripes and that has , I believe, proven to be a turn off. Polls show Kemp 5 points ahead.

I believe Kemp will win w/o a run off but what do I know.

Biden’s Losing Midterm Message for Democrats
He boasts about the economy and declares that abortion is his top priority.
By Karl Rove

Over the past week, President Biden laid out his party’s closing campaign message, providing Democratic candidates with a template to help them power through the election’s final days. It wasn’t pretty.

Mr. Biden began with a Democratic National Committee event at Washington’s Howard Theatre on Oct. 18, telling the crowd, “The first bill that I will send to the Congress will be to codify Roe v. Wade.” Abortion will be his top priority in 2023. “If you care about the right to choose,” he said, “then you got to vote.”

How Americans, Europeans Embolden Palestinian Terrorism
By Bassam Tawil, GATESTONE

The silence of the Americans and Europeans toward the actions and rhetoric of the Palestinian leaders is tantamount to a green light to the Lions’ Den and other terrorists to continue their terrorist attacks. If the Biden administration and the Europeans believe that Abbas or any other Palestinian leader is going to stop a terrorist from murdering Jews, they are engaging in staggering self-deception.

Instead of assuming its responsibility for halting terrorist attacks from areas under its control, the Palestinians continue to violate the agreements they signed with Israel.
