Why Petulant Pelosi should resign. I tend to agree but because she will serve as an albatross, I would like to see her stay.(See 3 below.)

The more I read and think about Trump's SOTU the more brilliant I believe it was.  He took the Country Club image of The Republican Party and turned it into one caring about the common man. and while this was happening and he was mopping them up the sullen Democrats sat on their hands and moped.

I seriously doubt Bloomberg can relate to Middle-America in a way Trump can and has and if Billionaire B is nominated it will certainly tick off the "Bernie youth." Historically, short men seldom become president either.

As for the market, I believe we are in for a little sell off and I also believe China is in serious health and financial trouble.  When China is in trouble their leaders lie and when things are good their leaders lie. Lying is part of their DNA because if Communists told the truth they would not survive, even in America although Bernie and Pocahontas are trying hard.

Young people do not have enough life experiences to understand this fact and since they are getting their education from radical liberal college professors they have no alternative but to believe the crap they are being fed. Regurgitation has always been the way to get grades and now that high grades are easier to get and Ivy League School Humanity Departments have become expensive  educational whorehouses our nation is going to face increasing competitive issues in the coming decades.

For the moment, China has lost it's leverage and momentum and America happens to be in the cat bird seat The mayor from the small Indiana town , should he get the nomination, will make a pitiful comparison against Trump so this, the debacle in Iowa and Pelosi's tantrums has to be scaring the fat cat Democrat contributors who will probably waste some of their billions but so what.  They have more and the Trump Economy is making them richer.

Sort of perverse isn't it?

Atty General Barr's Justice Department just indicted a bunch of foreign contributors to a lot of Democrat's campaigns which is against the law. Just some more swamp cleaning. See link above.

2)Subject: Thinking out loud - Shadow ..,

Thanks to Shadow ...

Folks,

Been a frustrating two months… Between the corrupt Democrats and bat shit crazy media… think all of our nerves are frazzled. And how did it start and what is it about? Lots of questions, lots of answers... and more outrageous hyperbole than a carnival huckster... coming from our media and Swamp dwellers every day

Let’s start from the beginning… the election of Donald Trump as the candidate for the Republican Party for President. Now I’m gonna admit.. he was not my choice, I was a Ted Cruz guy. Didn’t like his New York attitude, braggadocio style or even his hair. But after all was said and done, I did like what he was saying, even if I didn’t think he had a ghost of a chance of being elected against the Clinton Machine. I also had some inner caution, that he might turn out like most of modern Republican candidates for president… they spoke conservative speak and then turned around and governed as "Democrat Lites”. I’m referring to the Bush’s. Neither Bush was a real conservative… neither governed as a conservative. Senior rode in on Reagan’s coattails… Bush II was fortunate enough to have an opponent even a mother would find hard to love… a real plastic man. Democratic Party version of Richard Nixon. And then we had John McCain… I must admit a personal bias as I knew McCain was a very flawed and despicable human being from personal experience. The media painted him out to be a war hero… I and many others considered him a survivor, nothing more. From personal knowledge, I knew that wherever John McCain’s boat floated… a wake of discontent followed. He was the ultimate narcissistic manipulator... and a misogynist to boot. He was loyal to no one, other than his own ego. John McCain did more damage to the Republican Party than anyone I can think of outside of Nixon. He had more skeletons in his closet than a mortuary. He was the Anti-Republican, Republican. The Democrats knew it all, but held their fire because he was such a weak candidate and were aware they could count on him for support after the election.

Then we got Mitt… Liberal Governor of the most Liberal State in the Union at the time (at least until California went full tilt bozo). And to add insult to injury, the phony was the “Godfather” of socialized medicine in this country when he instituted it in his own state. And somehow the media and the swamp dwellers managed to convince enough Republicans that he was supposedly “conservative” and he got the nomination. In the debates he showed his true colors… and everything Obama espoused… Mitt was right there to yell… “Me too”! Our candidate was nothing but a Democrat Lite. Thank God he didn’t win, we might not have ever had another Republican President again. If a Republican had governed the way Obama did, the public would have been far less tolerant… but basically that’s what Mitt promised to do. Obama was a con artist… glib, suave, convincing. But beneath that sophisticated veneer beat the heart of an self serving, would be dictator. And frankly, were it not for the color of his skin… Obama would have been a one term President. America gave him a free ride, to salve their conscience. Truth is, had Mitt been elected, he would have failed too. Don’t think Mitt hates America like Obama obviously does… but his political instincts aren’t much better. And so it goes. The greatest line about Mitt Romney I’ve ever heard came from Mike Huckabee when he upset Mitt in Iowa when he ran for the Republican nomination… When asked by the media how he appealed to Republican voters in Iowa over Mitt. Huckabee replied… “I think it was because I reminded the working men and women of someone they worked with at their jobs and liked… Mitt reminded them of someone who had fired them“.

Back to Trump… I truly believe "The Donald" was very fortunate to have Hillary as an opponent. I’ll be blunt about it… I really don’t think America
Initially, wholly embraced Trump; as much as they knew they could not afford the risk... or embrace the thought of electing perhaps the most craven, corrupt, lying and for want of a better word… Bitch… as President of the United States of America.. So they took a flyer on Trump, crossed their fingers and hoped for the best. And what a fortunate bit of serendipity it turned out to be. The SOB actually started doing exactly what he said he was gonna do! OMG… he meant what he had said! Immediately, he took on deregulation that had stifled business, started appointing conservative judges (never under estimate the importance of that… the left has used liberal judges to impose edicts that could never have passed through congress, it’s a major “game changer” for the future). He took on illegal immigration, bad trade deals… on and on. Might not like the way he does it, but I damn sure love the results.

And he did it all while under constant assault from the media, the Democratic Party… the FBI, our intelligence agencies and the corrupt D.C. swamp. No other President in modern American history has been subject of such an all out “Jihad" by those corrupt forces. And yet he stood up to it and went about his work. Gotta hand it to the guy… turned out to be one tough hombre!

Could go on for hours… but want to talk about the basis for the phony impeachment. The Phone Call. How that became to tipping point boggles the mind. To deny that Ukraine was anything other than corrupt, is not worthy of belief. The fact that hundreds of millions of dollars from that small nation, filtered through from the hands of oligarchs to Democratic Party icons (The Clintons, Bidens, Kerry and others) should have been front page news were it not for a complicit media. Much of that money was used to attack Trump and support the corrupt Democratic politicians. When Biden was so brazen to brag about extorting Ukraine into firing a prosecutor that was investigating one of the corrupt oligarchs and his son’s million dollar a year “no show” job… it should have resonated around the country. This was an overt act; a brazen and in your face example of political corruption... on public display! Yet not a peep out of the media, or any indication or interest about the fact that Joe Biden publicly admitted he extorted the government of Ukraine (with our tax payer dollars).

Trump had every right to ask that the new President of Ukraine (who ran as a reformer) to “Do us a favor”… and look into the corruption that had crippled their country. The fact that he included the Biden’s by name sent out shock waves. But why? I mean we have the video of Biden admitting extorting them to fire the prosecutor who was getting too close… it was public knowledge that his son was given a million dollar a year “no show” job by a corrupt oligarch… but somehow the Dems and the media turned it around into an impeachment charge that Trump was trying to destroy a political opponent for personal gain (funny, Sleepy Joe couldn’t even win Iowa, the fact he was a supposed threat to Trump is laughable) . Well, folks… about time someone took on this favored tactic of how Democratic politicians and their families, got rich off selling influence. The Clinton’s perfected it… Joe had always been corrupt, he just didn’t have the brains to keep his mouth shut about it. Joe Biden, his son, his brothers… should all be investigated for public corruption. Oh… and I’m not even going into the Billion Dollar gift from the Communist Chinese to the two sons of Democratic politicians for them to play with… no big deal right?

I wish I could say the media and the Democrats have been taught a lesson… that their lies and BS isn’t selling any more. But I’ve been dealing with these kind of people since my college days… they are relentless, they are corrupt and they are evil. Ain’t gonna happen… they’ll just move on to the next false allegation. This is gonna be a tough year. Buck up Buttercups… gonna be in for a long, hard, ride.

2a) Muslims Celebrate! Harvard Declares Koran 'Best Book on Justice'
A look at Islam’s inferiority complex.
 By Raymond Ibrahim
Raymond Ibrahim, author most recently of Sword and Scimitar, is a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center.
Muslims around the world are thrilled at the recent news: “Harvard University ranks the Koran as the best book on justice,” is the January 20, 2020 headline of a report published by Youm7, a popular Egyptian news site visited by millions of Arabic readers.  It writes (in translation):
The official website of the World Muslim Communities Council  said on social media that, after lengthy, scientific studies that closely examined the rules of justice contained in the Noble Koran, the American university of Harvard has ranked the Noble Koran as the best book on justice….  In its final evaluation, Harvard University’s Classification Committee cited verses from the Noble Koran which confirm that the Noble Koran is a book replete with the rules of human justice … and that Islam has no room for injustice but rather includes tolerance and respect for the other.
Several other leading news websites and newspapers—including Al Ahram, Egypt’s most widely circulated and state owned newspaper founded in 1875—carried the story, followed by all sorts of triumphant celebrations on social media.
But is it true?  Did Harvard make such a pronouncement?  No. The real story is that, back in 2012, a group of law students painted a number of historical quotes dealing with justice on the walls of a Harvard building.

Known as the “Words of Justice,” they consist of 33 quotes from a variety of thinkers and civilizations—including African, Chinese, European, and Hindu—from 600 BC to the present.  Among some of the more recognizable names and documents quoted are Cicero, Augustine, Aquinas, the Magna Carta, Benjamin Franklin, Immanuel Kant, Gandhi, and Martin Luther King Jr.

Among these 33 quotes is one that is Islamic, derived from Koran:

O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just (4:135).

That’s it—the entire story.  There were no “lengthy, scientific studies,” nor “classification committees,” that led Harvard to announce that the Koran is the “best book on justice.”  Rather, one Islamic quote was deemed worthy of inclusion with 32 other non-Islamic quotations.
What to make of this shameful episode?  Why would Muslims fabricate such a story?  More to the point, why would they even care what infidel Harvard thinks in the first place?
For those in the know, the answer is simple: Muslims are ever and always looking for outside validation. Why?  Because a growing number of them have a nagging suspicion that their religion is not just.
Indeed, they need look no further than to the very same Koran chapter/sura (4, al-Nisa’, “the Women”) whence the much celebrated “justice” verse (4:135) was excerpted to encounter any number of decidedly unjust verses, including permission to sexually enslave—buy and sell—women (4:3), permission for husbands to beat their wives—since men are “superior” to women (4:34)—and so on.
Accordingly, what can be more reassuring than Western intellectual praise for Islam?
Consider this Arabic op-ed on Islam’s “inferiority complex” that I translated back in 2011.  Although its author, Khaled Montaser, an Egyptian intellectual, focuses on all the hoopla that erupts whenever a Westerner converts to Islam—whether in reality or not—the essence of his arguments perfectly apply to and shed light on this recent Harvard fiasco:
We Muslims have an inferiority complex and are terribly sensitive to the world, feeling that our Islamic religion needs constant, practically daily, confirmation by way of Europeans and Americans converting to Islam. What rapturous joy takes us when a European or American announces their [conversion to] Islam—proof that we are in a constant state of fear, alarm, and chronic anticipation for Western validation or American confirmation that our religion is “okay.”.…  And we pound our drums and blow our horns [in triumph] and drag the convert to our backwardness, so that he may stand with us at the back of the world’s line of laziness, [in the Muslim world] wherein no new scientific inventions have appeared in the last 500 years. Sometimes those who convert relocate to our countries—only to get on a small boat and escape on the high seas back to their own countries.
He goes on to discuss how the Arab world—in the guise of “our media and Internet sites … our writers and intellectuals”—exulted when it mistakenly thought that the German writer Henryk Broder had accepted Islam, based on sarcastic remarks he had made: “but we are a people incapable of comprehending sarcasm, since it requires a bit of thinking and intellectualizing. And we read with great speed and a hopeful eye, not an eye for truth or reality.”  Montaser continues:
How come the Buddhists don’t hold the festivities we do for those who convert to their religion? And some of these converts are much more famous than Broder. Did you know that Richard Gere, Steven Seagal, Harrison Ford—among Hollywood’s most famous actors—converted to Buddhism? What did the Buddhist countries of Asia do regarding these celebrities? What did the Buddhists in China and Japan do?  Did they dance and sing praise and march out in the streets, or did they accept these people’s entrance into Buddhism as a mere matter of free conviction?...  It is sufficient for the Buddhists that these celebrities purchase their nations’ electronic goods—without any beggary or enticements.
A closing thought: Muslim excitement over one small—and often fraudulent—compliment finds a parallel in the Western establishment’s behavior: government, media, and academia are all in the habit of highlighting and fixating over one small (and often fraudulent) compliment to Islam—such as the “Andalusian Paradise” (a myth)—while suppressing Islam’s numerous shortcomings.
And it’s reminder that, instead of flattering Islam, openly and honestly criticizing it—objectively, without rancor or hyperbole—is potentially one of the Western world’s most powerful, though largely untapped, strategies that could go a long way in neutralizing Islam, and without force.

3)Nancy Pelosi should resign

By Jonathan Turley
February 6, 2020

The House has its share of infamies, great and small, real and symbolic, and has been the scene of personal infamies from brawls to canings. But the conduct of Speaker Nancy Pelosi at the State of the Union address this week will go down as a day of infamy for the chamber as an institution. It has long been a tradition for House speakers to remain stoic and neutral in listening to the address. However, Pelosi seemed to be intent on mocking President Trump from behind his back with sophomoric facial grimaces and head shaking, culminating in her ripping up a copy of his address.

Her drop the mic moment will have a lasting impact on the House. While many will celebrate her trolling of the president, she tore up something far more important than a speech. Pelosi has shredded decades of tradition, decorum and civility that the nation could use now more than ever. The House speaker is more than a political partisan, particularly when carrying out functions such as the State of the Union address. A president appears in the House as a guest of both chambers of Congress. The House speaker represents not her party or herself but the entirety of the chamber. At that moment, she must transcend her own political ambitions and loyalties.

Tensions for this address were high. The House impeachment managers sat as a group in front of the president as a reminder of the ongoing trial. That can be excused as a silent but pointed message from the Democrats. Trump hardly covered himself with glory by not shaking hands with Pelosi. I also strongly disliked elements of his address which bordered on “check under your seat” moments, and the awarding of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh with the Presidential Medal of Freedom inside the House gallery like a Mardi Gras bead toss. However, if Trump made the State of the Union look like Oprah, then Pelosi made it look like Jerry Springer.

What followed was an utter disgrace. First, Pelosi dropped the traditional greeting before the start of the address, “Members of Congress, I have the high privilege and distinct honor of presenting to you the president of the United States.” Instead, she simply announced, “Members of Congress, the president of the United States.” It was extremely petty and profoundly inappropriate. Putting aside the fact that this is not her tradition, but that of the House, it is no excuse to note that the president was impeached.

Such an indignity was not imposed on President Clinton during his own impeachment proceeding, and anyone respecting due process would note that Trump has been accused, not convicted, at this point in the constitutional process. Pelosi proceeded to repeatedly shake her head, mouth words to others, and visibly disagree with the address. It was like some distempered distracting performance art behind the president.

My revulsion over this has nothing to do with impeachment. Six years ago, I wrote a column denouncing Supreme Court Associate Justice Samuel Alito for mouthing the words “not true” when President Obama used his address to criticize the court for its decision in the Citizens United case. I considered his response to be a disgrace and wrote a column criticizing Chief Justice John Roberts for not publicly chastising Alito for breach of tradition. Instead, Roberts seemed to defend Alito in criticizing Obama for his “very troubling” language and saying that it was unfair to criticize the court when the justices, “according to the requirements of protocol,” have “to sit there expressionless.” That was not unfair. That was being judicious.

I also wrote a column denouncing Republican Representative Joe Wilson, who shouted “you lie!” at Obama during his State of the Union address in 2009. Wilson should have been severely sanctioned for that breach. When I wrote those columns, I had never imagined that a House speaker would engage in conduct far in excess of those controversies. After all, House speakers often have been required to sit through addresses they despised from presidents of the opposing party. The House speaker is third in line of succession to the presidency and the representative of the chamber as a whole. She is not some Sinead O’Connor ripping up a photograph of the pope on "Saturday Night Live" while shouting aloud “fight the real enemy!”

Pelosi, like her predecessors, is supposed to remain stone faced during the address even if the president leaves her personally enraged. Indeed, House speakers have been the authority who kept other members in silent deference and respect, if not to the president, then to the office. However, Pelosi appeared to goad the mob, like a high schooler making mad little faces behind the school principal at an assembly. It worked as members protested and interrupted Trump. Pelosi became another Democratic leader, little more than a twitching embodiment of this age of rage.

This is not to suggest that the House has always listened to its better angels. More than 180 years ago, a confrontation between Democratic Representative Jonathan Cilley and Whig Representative William Graves led to a duel over what Graves viewed as a slight on the House floor. In February 1838, the two decided to meet in Maryland for a duel with rifles, and Graves killed Cilley after both missed each other twice. In response, the House quickly pushed forward antidueling legislation in Congress.

Pelosi has demolished decades of tradition with this poorly considered moment. Of course, many will celebrate her conduct and be thrilled by the insult to Trump. However, even those of us who disagree with his policies should consider what Pelosi destroyed in her moment of rage.
She shredded the pretense of governing with civility and dignity in the House. Notably, she did not wait to rip up her copy of the speech until after she left the House floor. Pelosi wanted to do it at the end of the speech, in front of the camera, with the president still in the chamber.

That act was more important to Pelosi than preserving the tradition of her office. In doing so, she forfeited the right to occupy that office. If Pelosi cannot maintain the dignity and neutrality of her office at the State of the Union, she should resign as the speaker of the House of Representatives.

Jonathan Turley is the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law for George Washington University and served as the last lead counsel during a Senate impeachment trial. He testified as a witness expert in the House Judiciary Committee hearing during the impeachment inquiry of President Trump.

3)THIS IS A PIECE WRITTEN BY A 26-YEAR-OLD MAN, GAGE SKIDMORE, WHO'S VERY WELL KNOWN FOR HIS POLITICAL AND POP CULTURE PHOTOGRAPHY.  AND HE'S ONE HELL OF AN OBSERVER AND WRITER AS WELL.  AGREE OR DISAGREE, THIS PIECE OFFERS EXCEPTIONAL INSIGHT INTO OUR PRESIDENT AND HIS IMPRIMATUR NOT ONLY ON OUR NATION BUT THE ENTIRE GLOBE.

James Carville says Trump is the greatest threat to America since the fall of communism.   It is easy to laugh away such a declaration, but I think there is an invaluable truth expressed.  Trump is as important in stature as the United States' most formidable military and political opponent of the twentieth century.  Trumpism as an ideological force has the mass and acceleration of a Soviet Empire that threatened to conquer the world.  Nobody speaks about the Bush Doctrine in such terms.   Nobody confuses the Obama Doctrine or the Carter Doctrine as projecting that kind of power.  Yet here we are, just three years after the election, and somehow the belittled and mocked hotel owner from Queens has stumbled into creating a movement that matches in strength and potency what took Marx, Lenin, and Stalin over a century to perfect.   Consider the fear that Carville and his ilk must harbor about what is to come.
What does he see that makes him tremble so?  In a word, greatness.
How could he not?  When you see a man being endlessly ridiculed and scorned brush off those insults with ease and smile back, you know something is different.  When you watch a 6'3" sack of energy bustling across the stage four or more times a day in suit and tie before tens of thousands of spectators watching his every move, and he seems more rested and comfortable than the press gallery a third his age, you know you haven't seen this before.  When his enemies spend years using the combined forces of corporate media, the legal system, and the intelligence agencies to dispose of him one way or another, and the man responds with an off-the-cuff one-liner that shows he could not care less, you know you are dealing with something rare.
Carville hates the man because he knows what he is.  Donald Trump is a world-historical figure.  He is not merely a part of history; he is an agent warping it with his own gravity.  His ideas and actions represent a firm break from the prevailing paradigms of the past.  His is an original voice arguing aggressively against the status quo.  If everything about this moment feels different, that's because it is.  We are all witnesses to history's play, but few generations see a world-historical figure ascend to its stage.
The media are blind to the moment, but future historians will see.   Almost everything in the public sphere is now defined in relation to Donald Trump.
He stood on the dais during his inauguration and practically said, "See all these Republicans and Democrats and their great plans for our country?  I'm going to destroy them all and burn down most of what they've built since World War II."  No wonder both sides joined hands with the Deep State and attempted to do by coup what Hillary could not.  Winning the American presidency is one thing, but shining a bright light on what the American government has become is something else entirely.
Consider how many powerful ideas Donald Trump has cast into the national consciousness.  He has exposed both major parties as socialist globalist cults more concerned with government health care and foreign nation-building than a policy for American freedom.   He has exposed how free trade can never be free when based on slave labor.  He has exposed how the silent destruction of towns across the Midwest came not from China's comparative advantage, but from American companies' use of slavery by proxy.   He has redirected investment away from Wall Street and toward Main Street for the first time in over thirty years and has unleashed three decades' worth of pent up entrepreneurial energy in the very towns long deemed dead.   He has questioned how the federal government can have any legitimacy if it fails at enforcing its very own immigration laws.
Not one Nobel laureate imagined this American renaissance of GDP and stock market surge, record-low unemployment, wage growth, and low inflation in one bubbling cauldron.  It took a change agent.  Not one foreign policy mandarin suggested unleashing the entrepreneurial spirit of the American oil man in order to destroy our enemies' power over us permanently.   It took a change agent.   Not one State Department official questioned why the United States was still subsidizing Europe's generous socialist welfare system seventy years after WWII.  It took a change agent.  Nobody wondered why we were enriching China at our own expense and preparing for a world where a communist dictator would lead.   It took Donald Trump.
Without worry or apology, Donald Trump stands before the world with a giant mirror, and the world does not like what it sees.   At a time when Western governments have found common cause with murderous dictators in demanding limits to free speech and free minds, Donald Trump goes to Poland and excoriates European socialism as the newest iteration of human bondage.   He celebrates the very Western civilization that the West now works to bury.  More than anyone on the world stage, he argues for individual freedom as the indispensable ingredient for civilization itself and free nations as the essential bulwark against international governance and tyranny.   In speech after speech across the globe, he stands alone and pushes back against the weight of history's currents.
The world has noticed.  It is Donald Trump to whom Nigerian Christians turn for survival from Islamic terror.  It is Donald Trump who has strengthened Israel by keeping promises his predecessors lacked the fortitude to see through.  It is Donald Trump whose name is often whispered by freedom-fighters in Venezuela, whose American flag is respected by regime protesters in Iran, and whose image is waved by thousands demanding freedom in Hong Kong.  Nobody clamoring for freedom is waving pictures of Angela Merkel in the air, but in Hong Kong and Taiwan, a photoshopped image of Donald Trump as Rocky Balboa is easy to find.  At a time when the German chancellor argues for limiting free expression, those people most desperate to escape China's yoke see the American president as the only fighter who might help set them free.  He is our American president, but he belongs to the world now, too.
Because he is actively working to destroy entrenched ideas and institutions, his opposition is clear-eyed and equally aggressive.  Rather than the traditional political tug-of-war that pits adverse interests against each other without significant movement toward any direction, President Trump as a world-historical driver of change is engaging in pitched battle with winner-takes-all stakes.
Whether he ultimately succeeds in shifting various equilibriums is irrelevant to his role in history.  In victory or defeat, he represents a firm marker against which past and future events will be viewed.  What his fiercest adversaries are only now realizing is that Trump has shifted the trajectory of history permanently.  He is not operating on their terms; they are all actors in the Trump Era.
How do you go up against an era?  That's like going up against a season.  Whether you like it or not, summer and winter are with us.  No wonder James Carville is afraid.
