Written before the mass rally in DC that went astray.
Liberals have every right to gloat now but, in time, the radicals who appeared at Sen. Hawley's home in the evening and frightened his wife will eventually show up at theirs.
Shred the Constitution, defund the police, intimidate free speech on collage campuses and teach hatred of capitalism and eventually bricks will come through the windows of The New York Times. That is the future direction apparently liberals in our nation have chosen because of their professed desire to bring about their form of justice.
For the moment black Americans are riding high but eventually they too will pay a terrible price because those unwilling to recognize the amazing progress that has occurred and choose not to adhere to law and order will also live to regret the consequences.

Written after I returned from a doctor's appointment.
I am all for peaceful protests but when they turn violent that is another matter. At this point no one knows whether those protesting were infiltrated by thugs or were capable of becoming hot heads on their own.
A large portion of 70 plus million Americans feel they have been cheated because their complaints have not been heard or adjudicated. On the other hand, those who profess they believe in law and order and peaceful protests obviously are hypocrites if, in fact, they participate in matters they claim they abhor.
As for the mass media, I am sure they will decry what has happened and I am already hearing reporters say they have never seen anything like this but were silent when "their kind" of rioters were burning downtowns etc. Are they so blind by their bias?
As for Trump, his post election rhetoric has been disappointing. He has every right to seek redressing perceived wrongs in a legal manner. As I wrote several days ago, I remained conflicted why judges in states can totally disregard their own constitutions and, to make matters worse, so close to an election as they have done. I do not claim to be a constitutional expert but, as I noted, when many are willing to sign affidavits they experienced questionable behaviour and no courts were willing to allow evidence be presented and debated this becomes a log on a potential future fire. That said, neither should Trump light a match because incendiary language only brings about tragedy.
What took place today is an act of shooting yourself in the foot and only serves to give hypocrites ammunition. I have received e mails from several, who never sent me any when their own rioting crowd were acting reprehensible.
And:
Vernon Jones is a handsome and intelligent man and finally saw the light:. Perhaps Senator Manchin will do so at some point.
