No Need To Comment - Images Speak For Themselves.

Many, many months ago I made a comment  about why Roman Emperors resorted to building coliseums in order to entertain the citizenry when problems developed. Then came the collapse.

Are we doing the same thing now?  Maybe Trump is right about public/tax payer financing of various owners of sports teams who feel disconnected from our nation's symbols.

No one is denying anyone's right to express themselves but there are more appropriate places and times to do so if you are on the field and are being paid to play. Perhaps, you should keep your mouth shut. Maybe that is why they give you teeth protectors.

Some times pictures are more poignant than words but words are also important: (See 1 below.)

"The American Flag does not fly because
the wind moves past it. The American Flag flies from the last breath of each military member who has died protecting it."

What has happened to our nation?

I do not claim to be a patriot but I went to a Military School for prep school and learned a few things that have served me well and then I spent a little time in two branches of our military and also learned a few things and I am glad for the experience because it changed and shapd my life. Semper Fi.

This is for everyone saying "What does it matter if they take a knee"?

Well, if the NFL had been consistent in their policy regarding their players showing support for other issues or conflicts or memories of attacks on our nation, it wouldn't be a problem to me. However, here is a short list of why I have a problem

Here are some fun facts about the hypocrites over at the NFL :

In 2012 the NFL had an issue with Tim Tebow kneeling for each game to pray; they also had an issue with Tebow wearing John 3:16 as part of his blackout to avoid glare and made him take it off.

In 2013 the NFL fined Brandon Marshall for wearing green cleats to raise awareness for people with mental health disorders.

In 2014 Robert Griffin III (RG3) entered a post-game press conference wearing a shirt that said "Know Jesus Know Peace" but was forced to turn it inside out by an NFL uniform inspector before speaking at the podium.
In 2015 DeAngelo Williams was fined for wearing "Find the Cure" (under) eye black for breast cancer awareness.

In 2015 William Gay was fined for wearing purple cleats to raise awareness for domestic violence. (not that the NFL has a domestic violence problem...)

In 2016 the NFL prevented the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a decal on their helmet in honor of 5 Dallas Police officers killed in the line of duty. (During a BLM protest where they put themselves in harms way to protect the protesters)

In 2016 the NFL threatened to fine players who wanted to wear cleats to commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11. (Omg we lost more people than when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor). They didn't deserve being remembered?!
