Fatah: Stab the Israelis!
PA: Stone the Israelis!
PA and Fatah promote terror
Fatah encourages stabbings:

Text: "Here is Jerusalem, you crazies, beware!"

PA encourages stone throwing:

by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik
While Mahmoud Abbas assures the world in English that he advocates only "peaceful resistance," both his government and members of his political party, Fatah, openly promote terror and murder of Israelis, as Palestinian Media Watch has shown. The following cartoons are examples of the Palestinian Authority and Fatah promoting stabbings and encouraging rock throwing. The cartoons were published in the official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, on Fatah's official Facebook page and in the Palestinian daily Al-Ayyam.
The above image of a Jew screaming in pain with a knife stuck in his shoulder was posted on Fatah's Facebook page. The Palestinian flag is on the blade of the knife and in the background is Jerusalem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Dome of the Rock.
The text in Arabic and in Hebrew on top of the image says:
"Here is Jerusalem, you crazies, beware!"
[Official Facebook page of the Fatah Movement, Oct. 4, 2015]
A few days after this cartoon appeared, and following the murder of 4 Israelis in shooting and stabbing attacks, and several other instances of Palestinians attacking Israelis with knives, Abbas Zaki, a member of Fatah's Central Committee, referred to stabbings and rock throwing as Palestinian "defense":
"We are defending ourselves today, and will continue to defend ourselves. We are not in favor of escalation. However, the occupation is the one that kills, destroys, and attacks our cities and villages. Of course the defense differs from Palestinian to Palestinian, and there are some among us who defend with a rock, and those who defend with a knife."
[Anadolu Agency, a Turkish news agency, Oct. 9, 2015,
Fatah's European Information and Culture Commission website, Oct. 9, 2015]

Several cartoons urging Palestinians to throw rocks at Israelis have appeared as well. One cartoon showed children happily engaged in throwing rocks with slingshots. On the separation wall behind them is written: "We will return again" and "Palestine." [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 18, 2015]

Another cartoon showed an Israeli soldier being stoned by rocks falling from the sky like rain and the text: "Winter has returned..." [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 8, 2015]

In another, a whole family is seen prepared with rocks in their hands and ready to attack.

Text above the cartoon: "The rocks of 2015!!"
Text on man's arm: "Allah is with you, Abu Al-Abed." (name of cartoon character)
A map of "Palestine" next to the text on the arm includes the PA areas as well as all of Israel. [Al-Ayyam, Oct. 13, 2015]
Another cartoon encouraged more rock throwing, calling Palestinians to "Advance, advance." [Al-Ayyam, Oct. 9, 2015] The cartoon shows a Palestinian throwing a rock, with a Palestinian flag in the background.

Another cartoon in the official PA daily showed a Palestinian flag in which the triangle of the flag points toward a bleeding Israeli soldier. Inside the triangle, various means of Palestinian "resistance" are depicted, including music, painting, funeral processions, and rock throwing at the forefront. [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 19, 2015]

Yet another drawing depicted a boy throwing a rock that hits a bell and causes it to ring, possibly indicating that rock throwing is a way to draw attention to the Palestinian cause. [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 21, 2015]

Similarly, Palestinian Media Watch has exposed other visual expressions promoting stabbings and rock throwings, such as one cartoon showing a Palestinian playing a knife as if it were a violin, stating that stabbings are "a symphony of love for Jerusalem."

I  recently wrote and sent this letter to the local paper in response to one written by Norman Ravitch. (See 1 below.)

This letter was also sent to the local paper by a Christian friend of mine who also is a fellow memo reader.  (See 1a below.)

This same dear friend and fellow memo reader sent me these two articles and I maintain , with respect to the first, he is not "for the birds."  (See 2 below)

You decide about the second. (See  2a below.)

I was privileged to be invited by The Sec. of The Navy to attend classes conducted at The Naval War College many years ago.  Since that time, I have been an avid reader of  Naval War College publications which have provided me insight into the growth, not only, of China's Naval Strength but also its ability to sink our aircraft carriers with newly designed missiles.

Yesterday the Wall Street Journal had an article about this.

China is rapidly expanding its influence in the Pacific Ocean and are now capable of challenging .our own navy.  I have been consistent in discussing this growing threat in many of my former memos.
===
I am an unabashed "traditional" conservative.  By this, I believe moderation and rational practicality should drive decision making.  I am pragmatic when it comes to the compelling need to embrace and  live within a set budget.  Living within a strict budget serves as a corset on the unbridled appetite of politician's willingness to spend OPM. Unaccountable spending is a pathological sickness.

I also believe it is incumbent among our nation to lead from strength and thus, we should not engage in any kind of military engagement unless we are committed to winning and paying for its cost. .

This means once we engage, politicians should move out of the way and allow top brass to do what needs to be done to end the engagement quickly. Why?  Because we are an impatient people and because we allow our press and media broad exposure. It is a general fact the press and media are more likely to report on  mistakes than successes partly because most in the press and media are liberal and have an innate distrust of the military. They also know negative and controversial reporting sells more papers and produces more ads and attracts larger audiences.

The president should set down markers and hold the military decision makers to them but once a president decides military action is necessary to protect our nation and/or our vital interests he should instruct all in his administration to back off!

Having said that,  I also know the military is prone to engage in covering up their mistakes and misdeeds so there must be appropriate and effective  oversight mechanisms in place that still allow performance.

That said, I also know my conservative approach is no longer in vogue.  Why? Because the extreme left and right will continue as determinant forces and thus, America will continue to fail.

Therefore, the more we fail, the more the call for withdrawal will prevail.

I do not know what will break this cycle of finding defeat acceptable  but until something comes along that is effective American foreign policy will continue to spiral downward.

Domestically speaking, our enormous deficits( funded and unfunded liabilities) , the growth of unrestrained government, expanding entitements and the increasing impact of runaway rules and regulations will constrain our ability to perform in an economically acceptable manner. Thus, employment, improving wages and growth in the middle class will continue burdened.

Once again, I do not know what will reverse the downward domestic trajectory that grips our nation.

One thing I do believe, the election of Hillarious is not the solution to our many serious problems.

On the Republican side I have serious doubts The Donald's  nomination and election, should it occur, is unlikely to provide the informed and consistent leadership we need either.

The Donald's rise is more a reflection of  Republican confusion, frustration and willingness to grope at a candidate willing to brilliantly attack with abandon and to utter sound bites that may give comfort but lack, in far too many cases, factual substance.

I admire his pugnacity, I admire his ability and willingness to fight back at his detractors and I actually believe he could make a decent president but I also believe the risk of a Trump Presidency could  be catastrophic. We already have experienced such for the last 6 plus years.

Consequently, I still occupy my seat on the sidelines as to a choice  and remain dejected at our nation's prospects because, at this point, the Republicans are throwing away an opportunity to show they can govern and have effective, believable and conservative answers.

1)-Norman Ravitch has written a thoughtful but factually incorrect LTE.

The word Palestinians does not mean they occupied Israel before Jews. Jews were in the area long before the newly named "Palestinian Arabs" were there and the word adopted. Clever P.R!

Second, Netanyahu rebutted all the lies yesterday regarding Israelis wanting to take over Arab places of worship.

Third, The Balfour Declaration promised the establishment of Israel but never was enacted until The U.N., supported by Truman, became a fact.

Fourth, Palestinians are in their pickle because they chose to vacate their homes in 1948, so their attacking Arab friends could defeat Israelis after the state of Israel was established and they lost.  Then Israel was consistently attacked and those who attacked continued to lose militarily and also territory. Israel is the only nation consistently told it must vacate the spoils of victory after being attacked.

Fifth, Palestinians have been offered a two state solution on several occasions and their corrupt leadership rejected the opportunity every time.

Palestinians prefer teaching their children hate and perpetuating the myth of victim-hood so they can continue to receive charity in the hope they will live to see Israel destroyed so they can have it all.  Good luck!

Palestinians may be evil but they are not stupid and understand a feckless West will continue to provide comfort because the world loves the underdog and Palestinians have positioned themselves accordingly.  (See 1b and 1c below.)

Sixth, were the shoe on the other foot and Americans were being randomly stabbed I doubt they would buy Obama and Kerry's proportionality anti-Semitic garbage.

Suffice it to say, the current Administration, led by this inept president, has presided over one disaster after another in terms of its foreign and domestic policies and has purposely chosen to downgrade our relationship with Israel

When the world is threatened, by "evil doers"  and the threatened cower they look for scapegoats. Jews have always been a convenient group, because of their success in adapting.  Jews have always been an irritant. As anti-Semitism spreads, as it is now, it is only a matter of time before bad things happen.

Obama is currently displaying the lessons he learned attending Rev. Wright's church.

His general display of weakness, his selection of placing incompetents in high positions and his failure to design successful strategies will lead to increasing tragedies. In fact, they have already begun for anyone with clear vision.

Call me a pessimist but I see an increasingly alarming future until realism, common sense and courage rule.

I could go on and on but this paper limits me to a certain number of words.

1a) "Our ineffective and inconsistent current President has done it again.
He accedes moral equivalency between the Israelis, who are being attacked with knives without provocation, and the Palestinians who are murdering Israelis and then killed in self-defense. Where is the logic?  It ranks right up there with his blaming guns for an insane individual murdering innocent people in a “gun-free” zone.
Arguably, anti-Semitism is once again on the rise. The Iranians and the Palestinians have made no secret of their desire to wipe Israel and Jews off the face of the earth. The EU is trending back toward their beliefs and practices just before World War II, and now our current government joins them.
The current administration has made mistake after misjudgment after error in the world of foreign policy. Admittedly, in some cases, there probably was no right way to go; but many of those situations were generated by previous actions of the same administration.
Not only is our current President an amateur, or in the eyes of a conspiracy theorist, an active advocate for evil, but his chosen administration leaders  are also amateurs. As a group, his appointees have less “real world” experience than any administration in history. Like their leader, teaching and/or community organizing are the sum total of their history.
This has led to “amateur hour´ in terms of policy and action. Witness the “reset” button with Russia when the Russian translation actually meant “overcharge” and the button was a “stop” button swiped from a hot tub at the hotel. Since then, Mr. Putin has certainly “eaten the lunch” of our current President. Oh by the way, the instigator of the  overcharge button wants to be President.
Witness also the abrupt and very premature withdrawal from Iraq which has led to the instability in the middle-East and the rise of ISIS. And, by the way, those who label these terrorists as “ISIL” are recognizing the terrorist’s desire and conceding their ability to eliminate Israel and take over the entire Levant.
Will the world survive another 15 months of these pretenders?"

1b)  Blood in the Headlines
BY CELESTE MARCUS

Arabs are stabbing Jews again. This is another in a series of tactics utilized by the Arabs to push the Jews out of the region. Since Israel’s founding, Arabs have been attempting to wipe the Jews out of the Middle East. The stabbings now taking place are a strategy employed to both demoralize Israel on the ground and delegitimize Israel on the world stage. The Western Media is a co-conspirator in this effort.

Scenario: teenager stabs a thirteen-year old on a bicycle in front of you. If you don’t try to defend the victim, you are a bystander. But if you actively, loudly, and publicly condemn the police for shooting the attacker, you are no longer a bystander. You are a participant. The mainstream media has consistently misrepresented the situation in the Middle East: they actively, loudly, and publicly condemn the Israelis for defending themselves against the Arabs. These journalists are not mere bystanders. They are a key participant in a war.

Israel underwent a transformation over the past few weeks. On October 1st four children watched from the backseat of a car as their parents were shot dead. That was the first in a series of similar horrors. The Israeli Defense Force website provides this accounting:

October 1: Eitam and Naama Henkin killed in front of their four children in shooting attack near Nablus. Assailants apprehended
October 3: 2 Israelis killed, 2 injured in stabbing attack in Jerusalem
October 4: Israeli teenager stabbed in Jerusalem. Assailant shot on site.
October 7:  Israeli civilian stabbed in Jerusalem. IDF soldier stabbed in Kiryat    Gat.  Israeli civilian stabbed in Petah Tikva. Attempted car ramming in Jerusalem.
October 8: 4 Israelis injured in screwdriver stabbing attack in Tel Aviv.Israeli stabbed in Kiryat Arba. Israeli stabbed in Afula.
October 9: 6 Israelis stabbed 5 Israelis injured.
October 10: 7 Israelis injured
October 11: 7 Israelis injured in various attacks
October 12: 2Attempted stabbings. 4 succesful stabbings.
October 13: 3 Israelis killed 13 injured
October 15: 1Israeli Injured. Joseph’s tomb burnt.
October 17:  3 Israelis stabbed
October 18·: 1 soldier killed, 10 Israelis

If you’re a typical American teenager, you did not know about these attacks. If you don’t have family in Israel, you did not spend the study breaks of the last two weeks scanning Israeli media’s reports of victims for the names of your friends. News updates from the mainstream media may have alerted you to the fact that something out of the ordinary was going on in Israel. You don’t know that Israeli children are afraid to go to school. You don’t know that mothers and fathers sleep with guns next to their beds, just in case.

A slim collection of journalists with a sweet spot for honest reporting have begun to rebuke the mainstream media for failing to bear witness to this spillage of Jewish blood. This rebuke, though apt, is incomplete. It casts the media as mere bystanders rather than active participants. It ignores the culpability of the journalists and reporters providing their readers with an anti-Israel, biased conception of the streets in which Israeli children are being stabbed. Here is an example of such condemnable reporting, from the BBC News on October 3rd:

“Palestinian shot dead after Jerusalem attack kills two”

This headline fails to identify the Palestinian as the attacker. Odd.

This is not silence. This is not unbiased journalism. This is vilification, specifically the vilification of a country for defending its citizens from lethal harm. It is also precisely what the attackers are hoping for. That teenagers were killed is a tragedy, but that the media blames those who were defending themselves rather than those who were instructing mere children to stab Jews is not an example of silence. It is a dangerous, shameful trend.

The following headlines, to pick a few from countless examples, are further examples of this same failing:

“Two Palestinian Teenagers Killed, Two Injured by Israeli Police” – The Wall Street Journal, October 12th

“Two Palestinians aged 12 and 15 have been shot dead and two knife attacks have left five Israelis wounded” – The Guardian, October 10th

“6 Palestinian teens die amid Mideast unrest” – Los Angeles Times, October 11th

These consistent misrepresentations are not accidental. The difference between the blood on the street and the blood in the headlines is far too great and far too uniform to be unintentional. The media has consciously sided with the wrong side, and they are therefore guilty of contributing directly to the problem. They are guilty of legitimating a regime that systematically incites its citizens to terror. That is what portraying terrorism as victimhood accomplishes.

This legitimation has consequences beyond the trajectory of dinnertime conversation. In a free country people read the newspaper, and people also vote in elections. Two weeks before the first attack in October, Mahmoud Abbas, acting leader of the Palestinian Authority, stated, “we bless every drop of blood that has been spilled in Jerusalem.” This is one of countless examples of the catalysis of violence by Abbas against Jews. Don’t look for that quote in the BBC or the NYTimes – you won’t find it. What you will find is reports that Secretary of State John Kerry is meeting with Abbas to discuss peace negotiations.

Abbas wrote his PhD dissertation arguing against the historicity of the holocaust. He was part of the leadership that engineered the Munich Massacre, the Coastal Road Massacre, the murder of diplomats in the Sudan. His resume is riddled with American and Jewish corpses. That he is constantly portrayed by the media, and consequently by our government, as a legitimate partner in the pursuit of peace in the Middle East is absurd. That US Aid money is given as payment to the family members of those martyred at the behest of their government, while murdering Israelis is absurd. That the United Nations has issued more condemnations of Israel than any other country in the world, including Syria and Iran and North Korea, is absurd. These absurdities are linked; they are the manifestations of a febrile virus with which the mainstream media is infecting its readers.

This is not silence. This is not passive communication. This is legitimating terror. This noxious reporting is equally responsible for the blood of the Palestinian teenagers as it is the Israeli victims.
If the media were only guilty of silence that would be a gross dereliction of their journalistic responsibility. It would be cowardly. But they are not only guilty of silence. They are guilty of participation. They are complicit.

Historical Evidence Shows Mufti Did Advise Hitler on Extermination of Jews, Says Middle East Forum Scholar

muftihitler
[T]he Mufti of Jerusalem Hajj Amin al-Husaini was a war criminal whose collaboration with Adolf Hitler played a key role in the Holocaust. The Mufti was instrumental in the decision to exterminate the Jews of Europe.

Middle East Forum Fellow Wolfgang G. Schwanitz, Ph.D.
Philadelphia (MEF) - October 21, 2015 - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has drawn criticism for comments about the role of al-Hajj Amin al-Husaini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem played in conceiving and perpetrating the Holocaust. Indeed, leading Nazi aides testified that al-Husaini was one of the instigators of the genocide. In his 1999 autobiography, a senior Nazi official admitted how he advised Hitler and other leading Nazis, and that he acquired full knowledge of the ongoing mass murder.
Middle East Forum scholar, historian and author Wolfgang G. Schwanitz added, “It is a historical fact that the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem al-Hajj Amin al-Husaini was an accomplice whose collaboration with Adolf Hitler played an important role in the Holocaust. He was the foremost extra-European adviser in the process to destroy the Jews of Europe.”
Although Schwanitz heard for the first time the dialogue between Hitler and al-Husaini as told by Netanyahu, Hitler was the key architect of the Final Solution. But indeed, it is absurd to ignore the role played by al-Hajj Amin al-Husaini, a war criminal, for encouraging and urging Hitler and other leading Nazis to exterminate European Jewry. According to the foremost expert on the ties between Nazis and Islamists, there is much evidence that al-Husaini's primary goal was blocking all of the ways out of Europe. He pushed Hitler to slam the last doors of a burning house shut.
In their 2014 book Nazis, Islamists and the Making of the Modern Middle East, published by Yale University Press, Schwanitz and co-author Barry Rubin delve into the deep ties between Hitler and the Grand Mufti:
“At their meeting [on November 28, 1941, Hitler and al-Husaini] concluded the pact of Jewish genocide in Europe and the Middle East, and immediately afterward, Hitler gave the order to prepare for the Holocaust. The next day invitations went out to thirteen Nazis for the Wannsee Conference to begin organizing the logistics of this mass murder.”
The highly acclaimed book also examined the Grand Mufti’s efforts to prevent Europe’s Jews from finding refuge in the land that would become Israel:
“And since any European Jews let out of Europe might later go to Palestine, al-Husaini made it clear that if Hitler wanted Muslims and Arabs as allies he must close Europe’s exits to Jews. At the same time, al-Husaini and Arab rulers also told Britain that if it wanted to keep Arabs and Muslims from being enemies, it must close entrance to Palestine to all Jews. By succeeding on both fronts, al-Husaini contributed to the Holocaust doubly, directly, and from the start.”

2)-I bought a bird feeder.  I hung it
on my back porch and filled it
with seed. What a beauty of
a bird feeder it was, as I filled it

lovingly with seed.
Within a week we had hundreds of birds
taking advantage of the
continuous flow of free and
easily accessible food.

But then the birds started
building nests in the boards
of the patio, above the table,
and next to the barbecue.

Then came the shit. It was
everywhere: on the patio tile,
the chairs, the table ...
everywhere!

Then some of the birds
turned mean. They would
dive bomb me and try to
peck me even though I had
fed them out of my own
pocket.

And others birds were
boisterous and loud. They
sat on the feeder and
squawked and screamed at
all hours of the day and night
and demanded that I fill it
when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn't even
sit on my own back porch
anymore. So I took down the
bird feeder and in three days
the birds were gone. I cleaned
up their mess and took down
the many nests they had built
all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like
it used to be ..... quiet, serene....
and no one demanding their
rights to a free meal.

Now let's see......
Our government gives out
free food, subsidized housing,
free medical care and free
education, and allows anyone
born here to be an automatic
citizen.

Then the illegal’s came by the
tens of thousands. Suddenly
our taxes went up to pay for
free services; small apartments
are housing 5 families; you
have to wait 6 hours to be seen
by an emergency room doctor;
Your child's second grade class is
behind other schools because
over half the class doesn't speak
English.

Corn Flakes now come in a
bilingual box; I have to
'press one ' to hear my bank
talk to me in English, and
people waving flags other
than ”ours” are
squawking and screaming
in the streets, demanding
more rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe
it's time for the government
to take down the bird feeder.
