Republicans are  DUMBER than the nation as a whole
Ever wonder why Conservatives want voter ID.?

* In 59 voting districts in the Philadelphia region, Obama received 100% of
the votes with not even a single vote recorded for Romney. (A mathematical
and statistical impossibility).

* In 21 districts in Wood County Ohio, Obama received 100% of the votes
where GOP inspectors were illegally removed from their polling locations -
and not one single vote was recorded for Romney. (Another statistical
impossibility).

* In Wood County Ohio, 106,258 voted in a county with only 98,213 eligible
voters.

* In St. Lucie County, FL, there were 175,574 registered eligible voters but
247,713 votes were cast.

* The National SEAL Museum, a polling location in St. Lucie County, FL had a
158% voter turnout.

* Palm Beach County, FL had a 141% voter turnout.

* In one Ohio County, Obama won by 108% of the total number of eligible
voters.

NOTE: Obama won in every state that did not require a Photo ID and lost in
every state that did require a Photo ID in order to vote . Imagine that.....

Today, I received a letter from The Executive Director of The Alabama State Bar, notifying me that my father, who practiced law in Birmingham for well over 50 years, will be inducted into the Alabama Lawyer's Hall of Fame.

As I have written  in previous memos,  my father was not only a fine lawyer but he was an active citizen and was involved in ridding Birmingham of its Police Chief, who brought shame upon the city and he  helped change Birmingham's form of government.

He was also an avid Zionist and member of The Sonneborn Institute.  Rudy Sonneborn was a New York Industrialist who brought 18 prominent advocates together for the purpose of meeting with David Ben Gurion for the purpose of preparing Israelis for the Day Israel would become a nation. The story of "The Institute" has been recorded in several books, the most prominent being  "The Pledge" by Leonard Slater.  I understand Speilberg's sister has bought rights to the story and intends to make a documentary film .

Chilling: Netanyahu Glares at UN Delegates for 45 Seconds for Their 'Deafening Silence' on Iran Deal

By Cortney O'Brien

At the United Nations General Assembly Thursday in New York City, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu renewed his warning about Iran’s path to a nuclear bomb. Considering the recent passage of the nuclear agreement with Iran, the prime minister’s comments were especially powerful.
“Iran is setting up dozens of terror cells,” Netanyahu said. “Imagine what they will do after the sanctions are lifted.”
“Unmuzzled,” Iran will “go on the prowl, devouring more and more prey,” he said.
In the wake of the nuclear deal, Netanyahu remarked, Iran is spending billions on weapons and satellites.
“Do you think Iran is doing that to advance peace?”
That question was perhaps a direct response to President Obama’s claim on Monday that the Iran Deal will ensure their nuclear program is “peaceful.”
Netanyahu rejected such assurances, saying the agreement does nothing to block Iran’s path to a nuclear weapon.
“When bad behavior is awarded, it only gets worse,” he said. “I’m gravely concerned the nuclear deal with Iran will prove to be the marriage certificate of that unholy union.”
Netanyahu acknowledged some "well-intentioned people" believe the deal is the only way to block Iran’s path to the bomb. Yet, “the best intentions don’t prevent the worst outcomes.”
In the most powerful part of his speech, Netanyahu stopped to directly address the nations in attendance.
“If Iran’s rulers were working to destroy your countries, perhaps you’d be somewhat less enthusiastic about the deal,” he said. “If Iran’s terror proxies were firing thousands of rockets at your cities, perhaps you’d be more measured in your praise.”
“And yet the response from every one of you here, utter silence," he said. "Deafening silence.”
After those remarks, he stood at the podium and glared at the delegates around the room for about one minute.

2)Top NATO general: Russians starting to build air defense bubble over Syria
By Thomas Gibbons-Neff

While Russia’s stated goal in moving into Syria is to fight the Islamic State, NATO’s top commander believes Russia’s new presence includes the first pieces of an intricate layer of defensive systems deployed to hinder U.S. and coalition operations in the region.
“As we see the very capable air defense [systems] beginning to show up in Syria, we’re a little worried about another A2/AD bubble being created in the eastern Mediterranean,” said Breedlove to an audience at the German Marshall Fund Monday.
A2/AD stands for anti-access/area denial. During the early stages of warfare, A2/AD could have been a moat around a castle, or spikes dug into the ground—anything to keep the enemy off a certain swathe of territory. In the 21st century, however, A2/AD is a combination of systems such as surface-to-air missile batteries and anti-ship missiles deployed to prevent forces from entering or traversing a certain area—from land, air or sea.
According to Breedlove, the introduction of an A2/AD bubble in Syria would be Russia’s third denial zone around Europe. The first and oldest he said, was in the Baltics where the Russian naval base in Kaliningrad has robust anti-air capabilities. The second zone—originating from Russian-occupied Crimea—covers the Black Sea.
“Russia has developed a very strong A2/AD capability in the Black Sea,” said Breedlove. “Essentially their [anti-ship] cruise missiles range the entire Black Sea, and their air defense missiles range about 40 to 50 percent of the Black Sea.”
Breedlove went on to suggest that Russia’s presence in Syria had little to do with fighting the Islamic State and a lot to do with propping up Syrian President Bashir al-Assad, adding that the sophisticated air defense systems and other pieces of equipment—including aircraft designed for an air-to-air role—was a clear indicator of Russia’s intentions.
“These very sophisticated air defense capabilities are not about [the Islamic State], they’re about something else,” said Breedlove. “High on Mr. Putin’s list in Syria is preserving the regime against those that are putting pressure on the regime and against those that they see who might be supporting those putting pressure on the regime.”
As of last week, Russia has more than two dozen aircraft at a newly renovated airfield in Latakia province, including ground-attack aircraft and helicopter gunships. In addition to the aircraft, there are at least 500 troops and number of tanks and armored personnel carriers.
Following Breedlove’s remarks, both President Barrack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Put addressed the United Nations General Assembly. There, Obama took jabs at Putin for his ongoing actions in Ukraine and Putin blamed the West for the chaos in Syria and their failure to cooperate with Assad.
“We believe it’s a huge mistake to refuse to cooperate with the Syrian authorities, with the government forces, those who are bravely fighting terror face-to-face,” Putin told the assembly.

2a)  Ya'alon: We made it clear to Russia that Israel will continue to protect its interests

Israel has made it clear to Russia that it will continue to act in Syria to protect its interests when necessary, and will not coordinate activities such as retaliating to Syrian cross-border fire with Moscow, Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said Tuesday.
He spoke a day after Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed “concern” over Israeli strikes in Syria, and two days after IDF artillery units struck two Assad regime artillery positions in response to stray, cross-border Syrian fire that struck the Golan Heights.
During visit to Gaza-border communities, Ya'alon said, “Prime Minister Netanyahu made it clear to president Putin that we are not involved in who will control Syria. Assad or not Assad, we are not entering that discussion at all. But we have interests, and when they are threatened we act, and we will continue to act. This has been clarified to the President of Russia, and here is the result. During the [Sukkot holiday] we acted against every violation or harm of our interest… those who try to violate our sovereignty – we will strike them, and those who try to transfer advanced weapons to terror elements, with an emphasis on Hezbollah, we will strike them, and those who try to transfer chemical weapons to terror elements, we will strike them.”
“We have no intention of giving up our ability to defend our interests. And I suggest that no one tests us,” Ya'alon warned.
