I listened to Biden's pronouncements and confess I remain

conflicted. What he said was wonderful but why no mention,

directly, of Iran? I find the behaviour of the press obnoxious

but why did he not remain to answer questions?

Oh well. If push comes to shove I hope he remembers his

own words.

Jake Sullivan's own comments and subsequent appearance

was also very good and most appreciated.

I still cannot forget Biden's many past mistakes and my

concerns but this is not the time and place to comment.

My Memos:

I write for a variety of reasons. Most importantly because I know the terrible cost of silence and because I am Jewish.

When you are silent you give voice to "evil" and the world has paid a heavy price for "evil silence" as is happening as I type.

Second, when you remain silent, in the face of evil, you increase the prospect of losing your precious freedom. You can never return the toothpaste back into the tube.

Third, there are those who lurk in the sewers waiting for their opportunity to quell the silent, the meek, the fools who believe silence is the way to overcome bullies, dictators and/or change their vicious goals.

Fourth, silence never remains stationery. It generally continues to creep, to eventually morph into something brutal.

Fifth, I place my thoughts in memos not because I want to convince you I am right or my views should prevail.

I do so to expose you to other thoughts that might challenge you to think about the possibilities there might be another side to an issue. You are always welcome to your own views and until those views prove wrong, by all means, embrace them if you will.

I have been writing memos since 1960. I take no comfort when my more dire expressions/convictions prove prescient. Much of what I believe has come to pass. I have 63 years of written proof as well as pamphlets I have published and an autobiography that regurgitates some of my previously expressed thoughts.

Where I am consistently wrong is in my timing. I am always early. Why? Being early is stuck in my mental DNA because, in my Military School Days, you were penalized for being late. This fact has inflicted me all my life.

Also, I find myself consistently mistaken because I generally believe good should surface quickly and conquer evil. I have learned that too is generally a false belief. Self punishment and lateness seems more to be mankind's solution or response.

Why we enjoy paying heavier prices when we have opportunities to attack evil sooner is beyond me. Why do humans like to repeatedly suffer? Why does mankind listen to those who have proven inherently and consistently wrong headed, illogical and just plain dumb, ie. defund police?

I admit to be very cynical. "If all else fails lower your standards." "Far too many liberals embrace what is stupid." Like Reagan said: "I am from the government and I am here to help you." "History has a way of repeating itself." etc.

Being cynical has not always served me well. It drives Lynn nutsy. My mother had a plaque in our apartment kitchenette: "Getting up gets me down." My father, who was a positive, upbeat guy, saw that every morning when he had breakfast.

So now Israel and the world are confronted by wars that are repeats of history. World leadership has failed to respond to the obvious once again and who pays the price? Innocents and now we see babies tortured as well as the aged. Hamas cares not a whit about their victims.

The tiny nation of Israel's military must, once again, not only save their own nation but also protect the world from its calumny.

Support among the Democrat Party for Israel has seriously declined and is directly attributable to two matters:

a) Obama's allowing/assisting fascist Islamists not only to immigrate to America but also relocate in districts so they would be elected to Congress

b) Those who have allowed radicals to capture the Democrat Party because they remained silent.

Because Israel painfully learned, when they acquiesced, tragedy eventually escalates and now over 1000 innocent people have paid the final price because world leadership and their senseless demands proved feckless and dangerous.

Consequently, Israel was finally forced to change tactics. Thus, the likelihood is all hostages will be or have already been killed by murderous Hamas. If so, this will relieve a napping, weak knee, trade for hostages Biden of pleading with Hamas as a dreamy Jimmy chose to do with Iran.

Having lamentably predicted this, Israel embrace being effective in ridding the world of Gazas' fascist Islamic leadership and give them the payback they richly deserve. I understand an eye for an eye approach leads to senseless tragedy but equivalent punishment is now demanded.

Israel's change in strategy will evoke repeated condemnation from misguided peaceniks as well as sick anti-Semites and the handmaiden mass media.

Judged by results they all have earned a deserved middle finger.

Instead of belated and worthless blather I expect from Biden this afternoon, I would prefer to hear him send a clear message to Iran, should they choose to encourage and assist Hezbollah in attacking Israel, the American Navy and Air Force will respond and further asserts Israel is free to do whatever they wish and are totally untethered.

Iran has been emboldened by past silence, has previously murdered many American civilians and troops and everyone one of these heinous acts have gone unanswered.

Will weather dictate our actions? Will John Kerry set policy? God help the world if it/he does.

Israel is in horror as reports emerge of the rape, torture and abuse of captives by Hamas, particularly young women and children.

It is now clear that the military-style assault on the wilderness rave at Kibbutz Re'im was a long-planned target. Hundreds of festival-goers remain unaccounted for.

Most international carriers have grounded flights to Israel.

Despite sympathy from many, anti-Israeli and antisemitic riots and vandalism have already spread around the world.

A Long-Planned Assault: It has become hideously apparent that the assault on the Supernova Sukkot Gathering outside Kibbutz Re'im, Israel, with an estimated 3,500 mostly young attendees, was long planned by Hamas and its sponsors in Tehran.

As partygoers fled towards their cars, the terrorists had set a trap, attacking with motorcycles, vans and machine guns on what is being called the "highway of death."

At least 260 murdered bodies have been found from this event alone. Many women were raped next to the corpses of their friends; some were then executed and others taken captive to Gaza, where they remain subject to rape, torture, and abuse.

The Tribulations of the Victims: Israeli children have been shown being abused and held captive in tiny animal cages.

The State Department has confirmed at least nine U.S. citizens killed in the rampage, with many more still unaccounted for.

Shani Louk, the 30-year-old female German tattoo artist whose broken and half-naked body was paraded through Gaza streets on an open pickup truck as men spit on and desecrated as well, was apparently robbed as well, as someone used her credit card from Gaza.

Hamas claims that four Israeli hostages have been killed in Israeli responsive airstrikes, although there is no way to verify this independently. It is believed that Israeli hostages have been distributed through the Strip to be used as human shields.

The World Responds: Most international carriers have grounded all flights to Israel.

Iconic landmarks around the world have been lit up in support of Israel, including the Empire State Building, Brandenburg Gate, and the Sydney Opera House.

But anti-Israel demonstrations have also sprung up worldwide; aa major protest in Times Square, New York included the display of a swastika. A kosher restaurant in London was vandalized and nearby infrastructure prayed with anti-Israel graffiti.

An Eye on Lebanon: This morning, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) fought off an attempted infiltration from the northern border with Lebanon, controlled by the terror group Hezbollah.

Israeli helicopters responded by carrying out strikes in Lebanon. However, all-out war has not erupted so far in the North.

Israel's response: More Israelis died during the invasion than in any other singly day in Israel's history or in any of its wars; more Jews were murdered Saturday than on any other day in the world since the Holocaust.

Israel is mobilizing 300,000 reservists in 48 hours, the fastest call-up in IDF history, as it prepares to move forward with ground operations in Gaza.

As unity government discussions continue, Avigdor Lieberman of the opposition Yisrael Beiteinu party declared that he would be willing to join the government if the cabinet commits to end Hamas rule over Gaza.
