On Monday, Republican state Reps. Tim O’Neal, Josh Kail and Torren Ecker introduced articles of impeachment against Krasner. Speaking with “Fox & Friends First” co-host Todd Piro on Tuesday morning, the three lawmakers said that the move has been a long time coming. “We want to highlight the dereliction of duty that we’ve seen from this district attorney,” Kail said. “Lives have been lost, property has been destroyed, and really families have been crushed. Enough is enough. And we need to do something, and we need to get back to the basics in this commonwealth and in this nation … really, we need to get back to law and order. Chaos has had too much of a reign in Philadelphia, and it’s time to stop it.” According to Fox News, Krasner called the impeachment effort “unconstitutional,” but the GOP lawmakers disagree, claiming that it will garner support from both sides of the aisle. “It certainly isn’t an easy process, and it’s an extraordinary step,” O’Neal said. “But we’re confident that this is going to be a bipartisan effort. Larry Krasner’s failures as a district attorney in Philadelphia are well known and very public.” During the “Fox & Friends First” segment, a six-month-old clip of Krasner was played that truly outlines the reason behind this impeachment effort. “Basically, we don’t have a crisis of lawlessness, we don’t have a crisis of crime, we don’t have a crisis of violence,” he claimed. Ecker was much more blunt than his two colleagues, calling out Krasner for not doing his job and claiming that the radical far-left district attorney isn’t operating in reality. “He’s completely lost his mind,” the GOP lawmaker said. “The people of the city aren’t backing him. Former leaders of the city, current leaders of the city, have called for… him to step in and start prosecuting crimes.” Piro asked the three lawmakers whether the successful recall of former San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin — who operated with similar radical progressive values and policies as Krasner — influenced their decision to begin the impeachment process against the Philadelphia district attorney, and O’Neal said it was “certainly a factor.” He also noted that there is a “movement of progressive district attorneys failing to enforce the law” across the nation, and added that since there are no recall elections in Pennsylvania, impeachment is the only way forward. The Republican lawmakers also created a “Stop Krasner” website that highlights their issues with Krasner. Elected Republicans aren’t the only ones who have a problem with the far-left district attorney. Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police President John McNesby spoke out against Krasner and the results of his policies in a statement in 2021. “It’s been a complete train wreck since [Krasner] has been in office,” McNesby told the Washington Free Beacon last year. “His failed social experiment has driven crime up, driven murders up. On the street, the criminals know that there are no repercussions. They call him ‘Let ‘Em Out Larry’ — it’s a joke.” +++ Sent to me by a friend and fellow memo reader: +++ "So if I were Warnock‘s opponent in a debate I would ask him, “is it not true that you were in the House of Representatives and voted for legislation that Nancy Pelosi introduced to you and your colleagues in cooperation with F Jos. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Fifty Days Later, Abrams Silent on Largest Income Tax Cut in Georgia History ATLANTA - On April 26, Governor Brian Kemp signed the largest income tax cut in Georgia history which passed the General Assembly with overwhelming bipartisan support and returns $1 billion to Georgia taxpayers. It has been 50 days, and Stacey Abrams still refuses to tell the people of Georgia - including the 76 Democrats who voted for it - whether she supports it or would repeal it. "In the midst of an economic disaster caused by Democrats in Washington, Stacey Abrams' silence on the largest income tax cut in Georgia history signed by Governor Kemp is disqualifying," said Tate Mitchell, Press Secretary. "As Georgians face skyrocketing prices at their gas pumps and grocery stores, Governor Kemp is fighting to bring relief by ensuring they keep more of their hard-earned money in their pockets. Families struggling to make ends meet in our state thanks to Democratic policies deserve the answer to a simple question: will Stacey Abrams support the largest income tax cut in state history?" *** Press Contact Tate Mitchell - Press Secretary Kemp for Governor tate@briankemp2022.com ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ More White House departures: +++ White House counsel Dana Remus to leave role next month BY BRETT SAMUELS White House counsel Dana Remus will leave the administration next month, the latest in a string of key officials to depart their posts ahead of the midterm elections. Sarah Palin moves on in Alaska congressional election NFL commissioner to testify at Commanders workplace misconduct hearing. Delery previously served as acting associate attorney general and he will be the first openly gay person to hold the role of White House counsel. Remus’s departure is the latest from a key official who has been with the White House since the beginning of Biden’s tenure.
