Biden and his leftist handlers learned well one should never let a crisis go to waste. Having just passed an enormous COVID relief bill, of which only 9% actually had anything to do with Covid, Biden is now preparing another such bill. The purpose of all this spending has nothing to do with COVID but everything to do with the progressive's wish list.
Trillions of dollars, stored for future spending, can cover a lot of literal priorities, particularly if the Demwits lose the House and Senate in the mid year election, as is more than an even bet.
The lockdown set the stage for the need to bail out citizens who lost jobs, businesses etc. and thus the need for spending to save the sailors on the good ship USS America, which politicians scuttled, because experts like Fauci thought closing the economy was the correct scientific decision. Turned out it might not have been from an economic standpoint but it sure helped the progressives pass legislation they have lusted for since Johnson's failed "War On Poverty." Create more poverty then come to the rescue by turning on the spigot with trillions of dollars. It is a neat trick but it requires a crisis. COVID presented the perfect opportunity. Then, raise taxes to demonstrate fiscal responsibility , when in fact, you are only interested in redistribution of wealth.
The public, of course, never turn handouts down because there is no "perceived" cost. Ah, but there is always a cost because there is no free lunch. That Americans are dumb enough to believe government spending comes with no bill does not erase reality.

Call me a conspiracist but I always believed Biden's nomination was a set up so the first black female president could replace a flawed candidate wholly incapable of serving out his term.
