I was driving home from tennis Monday and caught Trump's comments after The Florida Delegation cast their votes for him. He had a perfect opportunity to tell the nation what he intends to do and how he plans to accomplish his campaign commitments. But he blathered on about what he did for farmers blah,blah blah.
He has some wonderful speech writers and I wish I could tell him to be succinct, list what he intends to do and tell it in a systematic and concise way how he will to do what he just outlined.
One of my favorite authors, not necessarily persons, was Hemingway. He was pithy, he left it for you to flesh out his skeletal thoughts. Had he written Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" it would have been 200 pages shorter and I doubt you would not have missed a thought .
Why can't Trump just say:
Democrats want open orders, closed schools and have closed minds. They oppose gushing oil but want unsolicited ballots raining down from the post office. They tolerate rioting in the streets yet bar doors to churches, synagogues and mosques.They wear masks but mask their intentions. They want rules and regulations while I demand warp speed to create vaccines.. I lower taxes they raise them. I support law and order they de-fund police. I bring troops home and kill terrorists, they deliver billions at night so Iran can expand terrorism.They talk, I deliver. They draw red lines in the sand and ignore them while I help Israel negotiate peace with the UAE. I helped make America great again they moan, groan and spy on me.
