FACTS & LOGIC ABOUT THE MIDDLE EAST (FLAME)

JAMES SINKINSON-OPINION

US hysteria over Israel’s elections shows more chutzpah than wisdom

If Americans actually shared the Israeli daily experience they might better understand why Israeli voters—in record numbers—overwhelmingly elected a right-wing government.

(November 8, 2022 / FLAME) Americans—especially American Jews—have expressed dismay at the results of last week’s Israeli elections. They seem to believe that Israel has been transformed suddenly from a thriving democracy into a “semi-fascist” state (to borrow a Joe Biden coinage).

New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, clutching his pearls, shrieked that “the Israel we knew is gone.”

Yet Americans distraught at the results of last week’s Israeli elections are at a profound disadvantage: They don’t live in the Jewish state. CONTINUE

This memo is devoted mainly to the fact that a nation divided cannot stand:

It is evident from the results of the mid term, where  counting continues, America is seriously divided.  Those who favor radical candidates are mostly Democrats who, apparently, place party and power over everything.

Republicans also have their share of those who are far right and out of the mainstream.

We also have a president, who remains, in total denial and is responsible for nothing. Responsibility washes off him like water on a duck.  Putin is to blame, mothers and fathers are urban terrorists, Republicans are destroying democracy, i never spoke to my son about anything. We will rescue everyone in Afghanistan, the economy is fine.  Gas was $5 when I became president and so it goes.

To make matters worse the DOJ and FBI are corrupt and the latter, working with various social media giants, hid Hunter Biden's computer at a critical point in time. This prejudiced  action assuredly influenced the 2020 election in Biden's favor.

My concern is that when Republicans assume control of, at least, The House they will initiate investigations which could become very revealing at a time when American interest is more focused on problem solving.

The highest wall/barrier is not the one south of our border but the ones in D.C and members of both party's have, no doubt, been engaged in selling influence.

Polls suggest over 75% believe this republic is headed in the wrong direction. When specifically asked his thoughts, Biden responded the public was unaware of what his administration was doing to right the ship of state and that the price of gas had declined in the past month.

When asked about the potential investigation of his family for alleged corruption he alluded to something his athletic coach said and again was in total denial mode.

From every indication it is quite evident America is suffering from decades of dry rot. The mass media folks have become a shill for Democrats, technology has furthered the Democrat's effort to weaponize politics and, through intimidation, deny the conservative voice access to their constitutional right of free speech.

The more radical element within the current  Democrat Party has become a highly visible voice and has taken the lead in supporting former president Obama's effort to transform America in concert with the communist dictates of Saul Alinsky, Frank Marshall , Bill Ayers, Rev. Wright to name a few.

I have discussed my view I refer to as the "24/7 mismatch." By this I mean there are those disconcerted souls who, upon wakening, spend 24/7 pursuing  the destruction of America whereas we "deplorables," among our society, devote one day, every other year, to express ourselves by way of a vote.

The rest of our time, lamentably, we are more likely to be enjoying  the fruits of capitalism to the detriment of protecting the blessed benefits of America.  I believe this mis-match reveals a serious weakness which Ben Franklin addressed in response to a scullery maid's inquiry "we have a republic if we can keep it."

I fear  'getting and spending we have laid waste our powers.'

The efforts by the "24/7ders" are not, by nature, happenstance. They are purposeful and are aimed at every one of our institutions from education to voting.  Why?  Because America threatens their own sinister goal of total domination and subordination of the free individual.

In a recent discussion I had with Mollie Hemingway, she disagreed with my thesis and said the tide had turned and an effective pushback was forming. The mid-term results, I submit, buttress my viewpoint .

Time and the mis-match does not favor us deplorables.

I believe POGO was right when he said "The Enemy Is Us."

Iran’s Ballistic Missiles and the Folly of Appeasement

By Michael Doran and Can Kasapoğlu

One man who understands this better than most is Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie, who retired in April as commander of U.S. Central Command, the military command responsible for the Middle East. Gen. McKenzie recently warned about the impact of Iran’s advances in ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones. “Over the past five to seven years, Iranian capabilities . . . have risen to such a degree that now they possess what I would call effective ‘overmatch’ against their neighbors,” he said on Oct. 6 at Policy Exchange, a London think tank. “Overmatch,” he continued, “is a military term that means you have the ability to attack, and the defender won’t be able to mount a successful defense.”

The Iranians essentially have established a balance of power that favors offensive action by Iran. Lopsided defense economics partially explain this: America and its allies spend more money—tens or hundreds of times more—to intercept Iranian missiles and drones than it costs Iran to build and launch those weapons.

More important, when combined in a large strike package, some of Iran’s missiles and drones will inevitably break through America’s defensive shield guarding its allies and military bases in the Middle East. The IRGC combines ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones in strike packages. Each of these systems have different flight characteristics, radar signatures and homing angles. When launched simultaneously they tax the sensors of missile-defense systems. Even the most sophisticated systems operating at peak performance can’t prevent at least some of Iran’s weapons, when launched in significant quantities, from hitting their targets.
