If God Wanted Humans to Be Liberals He Would Have Given Them Crutches Not Feet!

If it is good for the goose then maybe the gander should try it as well.  This, according to Sen. Rand who offered advice to our Chief Justice.  (See 1 below.)

I have used these memos to highlight the difference between liberals and conservatives and recently heard a concise summation of what I have espoused.

Liberals have core beliefs:

a) Liberals truly believe in big government and that big government is best able to offer solutions to societal problems.

b) Liberals truly believe wealth should be distributed.

c) Liberals truly believe America is simply another nation among many and should not be thought of as exceptional.

d) Liberals truly believe America is comprised of many separate and distinct ethnic, racial etc.groups.

e) Liberals truly believe government borrowing can continue open ended with little consequence either on the value of the dollar and/or inflation.

Conservatives also have core beliefs:

a) Conservatives believe it is better to grow the pie than redistribute the pieces.

b) Conservatives believe America should be a united nation and embrace the expression on our coinage - e pluribus unum.

c) Conservatives believe smaller government is more effective and  therefore, is more likely to be supported when it is successful.

d) Conservatives believe America is exceptional because of our founding documents which have served us well.

e)  Conservatives believe government debt results in a decline in the value of our currency and thus increased inflation and  government should live within its means.

These distinct differences form the core dividing lines between liberals and conservatives and are why I consistently argue Obama has proven to be an unworthy president more interested in dividing than uniting  because his core beliefs are out of sync with who we are.

What are the consequences of these differences?

Well if history provides a clue I would argue the value of our coinage has declined which increases the cost of living because we are a net importing country. That means the standard of living for most Americans has declined because their incomes have not grown comparably.

Secondly, I would argue our freedoms have been curtailed by reason of the government taking more of what we produce to cover the increasing cost of transferring wealth and growth in dependency.

Third, I submit the amoebic growth in government rules and regulations and bigness has crowded out private markets and thus has restrained private sector employment and where it has occurred the growth has been in lower paying jobs, ie. service sector etc.

Finally, and perhaps most important of all, the failure of government to solve problems, to deliver on its promises has resulted in citizen discontent, disconnect and division and that is not healthy.  Furthermore, the very essentials necessary to sustain our free Republic form of government have been crushed, ie. the family structure, education  all resulting to increased crime and social dysfunction.

Conservative philosophy respects human worth, it demands responsibility and is more likely to reward and imbue its citizens with feelings of self-confidence and  self-worth.

Americans, by nature, are can do people.  Kennedy said it well in his inaugural speech but we drifted away and elected a man who has proven unworthy. This is a tragedy.

If God had wanted humans to be liberals he would have give them crutches instead of feet!

Rand Paul: Force John Roberts Into Obamacare

By Andrea Billups

Chief Justice John Roberts is such a fan of President Barack Obama's healthcare plan he should not be prevented from receiving its benefits, Sen. Rand Paul says.

And now Paul is planning to introduce a constitutional amendment to ensure that Roberts — and all other federal employees — are forced into the Obamacare system.

"My amendment says basically that everybody including Justice Roberts — who seems to be such a fan of Obamacare — gets it too," the Kentucky senator told the Daily Caller

Roberts cast the deciding vote in June 2012 that allowed nearly all of Obamacare to stand. The four other Supreme Court justices normally considered conservative all voted against.

Now Paul wants to outlaw all exemptions, including for members of Congress, making sure taxpayers and lawmakers are treated equally under the Affordable Care Act. His planned constitutional amendment would ensure that federal employees do not get special exemptions from the law of the land.

"Right now, Justice Roberts is still continuing to have federal employee health insurance subsidized by the taxpayer. And if he likes Obamacare so much, I’m going to give him an amendment that gives Obamacare to Justice Roberts," Paul told the Daily Caller.

Members of Congress and their staffs received in August a perk most taxpayers won't get: a 75 percent subsidy for their cost of their own health insurance pans. Paul said he is on board with a plan floated by Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana to do away with that subsidy as well.

Paul and a growing chorus of conservative lawmakers have expressed outrage over an "Obamacare fix" that gives special privilege to government, even as most uninsured taxpayers will have to use the Affordable Care's healthcare exchanges.

Paul's fight marks a capstone to a long political battle over the law, and comes after the House voted Friday to defund Obamacare and as Senate Republicans take up the fight this week amid concerns that the law is unaffordable, unwieldy, and has been decidedly weakened from its original intent, Politico reported

Already one of the GOP's chief Obamacare opponents in the Senate is facing deep opposition within his own party.
