Why Is Joe Biden Still Trying To Raise The Iran Nuclear Deal From The Dead?

After almost three months of incessant turmoil, the revolution in Iran has now engulfed more than 280 cities in each of the country’s 31 provinces.
The savage crackdown by the theocratic regime’s security forces has led to the deaths of at least 700 people and a demand for a full-scale independent inquiry by the UN. 30,000 protesters have been detained. In Tehran, a spokesman for the mullahs’ judiciary, Massoud Setayeshi, confirmed this week that another five people had been sentenced to death for their role in the uprising, bringing the total number of death penalties handed down to protesters so far to eight.
The mullahs’ regime has executed over 500 people this year, in a wave of killing designed to crush opposition. Many of those sentenced have been accused of “moharebeh” or “corruption on earth,” a charge which carries the mandatory death penalty in Iran.
Undeterred, industrial action and boycotts by shop owners, hospital staff, factory workers, truck drivers and university students, in solidarity with the uprising, have developed into a general strike which has paralyzed the nation.
The clerical regime, led by the elderly and fanatical Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has oppressed and brutalized the Iranian people for four decades, but is now at its weakest point since the 1979 revolution that brought the mullahs to power. The daily mass protests resonate with chants of “Death to Khamenei” as demonstrators demand the downfall of the regime.
Unbelievably, instead of rallying to the support of the oppressed Iranian people, to help them achieve their objective of freedom, justice, democracy and a non-nuclear Iran, the Biden administration in America is still desperately searching for ways to appease the mullahs by resurrecting the zombie Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear agreement.
The deal, signed by Obama in 2015 and unilaterally abandoned by Trump in 2018, was seriously flawed from the outset. The deal prevented inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from inspecting any sites controlled by the military inside Iran, where virtually all the theocratic regime’s top secret nuclear program was being developed.
Repeated intelligence reports exposed how the theocratic regime had no intention of curtailing its race to build a nuclear warhead and duped the U.S. and the EU into the lifting of crippling economic sanctions in exchange for signing the fake agreement.
When Trump re-imposed the sanctions in 2018, the mullahs pressed the panic button, clamoring for a renewed agreement. They are now openly boasting of removing IAEA surveillance cameras and claiming they have enriched uranium to 60% fissile purity, a fraction short of weapons-grade, in blatant contravention of the agreement.
Undiscouraged, the U.S. State Department continues to seek ways of raising the JCPOA from the dead. Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi, dubbed “the butcher of Tehran,” for his key role in the 1988 massacre of more than 30,000 political prisoners, is demanding that all sanctions be lifted before talks on the nuclear deal can resume.
He has found a willing interlocutor in Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, who said this week: “Until Iran is ready to return to full implementation of the JCPOA, we will continue to use our sanctions authorities to target exports of petroleum, petroleum products, and petrochemical products from Iran.”
Incredible as it may seem, the Biden administration is determined to continue with its “sticks and carrots” strategy when dealing with the mullahs, rather than simply wielding the big stick and helping Iran’s beleaguered population to achieve regime change, which would end the nuclear threat at a stroke.
Joe Biden and Antony Blinken, appear content to ignore how the mullahs’ regime sent an accredited Iranian diplomat, Assadollah Assadi, on a commercial airliner from Tehran to Vienna in 2018, with a fully primed 500 gm bomb in his diplomatic pouch.
When Assadi and three co-conspirators were sentenced to decades of imprisonment by a Belgian Court for attempting to kill and maim potentially hundreds of people at an Iranian opposition rally near Paris, attended by many prominent European and senior American VIPs, the Biden administration were nevertheless happy to resume the JCPOA talks in Vienna.
Biden and Blinken turned a blind eye while Iran poured money and troops into Syria to back Bashar al-Assad’s bloody civil war and sent cash and sophisticated weaponry to the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
They remained unfazed as the Iranian regime sponsored and commanded the brutal militias in Iraq and provided limitless support for the terrorist Hezbollah organisation in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza.
Although the U.S. announced a range of new bans on December 5 against mainly Chinese companies who had violated Iran-related sanctions, it was done, according to Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian Nelson, as part of a “pressure campaign” to get Iran back into full compliance with the JCPOA.
It seems that Biden is desperate to see the talks resume, even if it means lifting sanctions, kick-starting the mullahs’ economy and bankrolling them once again with cash to fund their proxy wars and terrorist activities throughout the Middle East and worldwide and to continue their savage repression at home.
Compounding the policy of appeasement, Biden’s State Department Envoy for Iran, Robert Malley, recently traduced the Mojahedin-e Khalq, the main Iranian democratic opposition movement whose courageous Resistance Units have spearheaded the nationwide insurrection. Malley parroted a list of outrageous falsehoods about the MEK that have been made repeatedly by the mullahs.
The Americans have a tarnished record when it comes to Iran. In 1953 the U.S. joined with British intelligence agencies to orchestrate a coup against Mohammad Mossadeq, Iran’s democratically elected prime minister. His ouster strengthened the oppressive rule of the Shah who was overthrown by the 1979 revolution. It would be a grave error for the U.S. to find itself once more on the wrong side of history in Iran.

Election-fraud corruption is deeper than anyone can imagine

Multiple polls conclude that over 70% of Americans think our elections are filled with fraud. But we’re learning it’s deeper and more organized than just a few thousand mules dropping fake ballots into election boxes.
The corruption involves both political parties. Big Tech manipulates search engine results, and takes down “dangerous” websites. With the Elon Musk revelations, we now see that our own FBI is working actively with Twitter to censor conservatives and silence dissenting speech. It’s next to certain that Twitter wasn’t the only Social Media Giant the FBI was giving orders to. And the mainstream media is all-in on ridiculing, dismissing or attacking people willing to speak out.
Anyone who floats the idea that the Republican red wave disappeared because of poor GOP tactics, or inadequate candidates is either stupid or part of this conspiracy. In fact, it’s an excellent “RINO detector!”
Absentee ballots are the currency of election fraud
Any “conservative” news organization that is not focusing 100% on the corruption that has been unearthed in Maricopa County is complicit.
The Left and their RINO allies, along with who-knows-how-many other corporate and foreign actors, have set up the most complicated electoral fraud system in history. EVERY step of the voting process—from who is allowed to vote, how they vote, how the votes are tallied, to how the results are reported, is compromised. They are so far into their corruption that being exposed is not an option. They will do literally anything to avoid being caught.
A good place to start is with the voter rolls.
They are so rife with inaccuracies, full of outdated and blatantly false information, that no election can be considered safe. The data is completely unsecured and can be manipulated at will. And most efforts to clean up the rolls are either ignored, or done so slowly or incompletely as to be useless.
One county in Arizona noted “42,000 changes to the election rolls within weeks of the election—most were illegal. 21,000 new voters added to the election rolls, within 29 days of the election—almost every one is illegal. 8,000 voters appear to live in a business—each one would be illegal. 1,951 people received ballots at one address, and then voted from a different address—every one is illegal. The Republican candidate—with an 11-point lead in the polls—lost by around 21,000 votes to a woman who was afraid to debate her!”
Absentee ballots are the currency of election fraud.
The vote counting process is completely insecure
When you can manipulate the voting rolls, you can easily create “floating ballots” in states where absentee ballots are mailed out to every voter. Just change a digit in the zip code and a corrupt postal worker can easily gather up those ballots when they return as undeliverable. All you have to do is line up a buddy at the post office and send incorrectly addressed ballots to his zip code.
Another method is to change or delete box numbers for apartment buildings or college campuses. Again, when they come back as undeliverable, they can be snapped up to be saved up for election day. If it looks like your candidate is losing by 2,000 votes, just fill in 2,500 and voila, victory!
The addresses in the voter rolls need only be changed for a single day so the ballots can go to the wrong addresses and the data is changed back. “In a real-life example, this month, we found a county that changed 31,500 zip codes, yet the voter remained at the same address.”
There’s no way to know this is happening unless someone happens to download the manipulated data at the right time. An almost undetectable crime. Another type of phantom voter is someone on the rolls who hasn’t voted in the last two or three elections. Send an absentee ballot for them at a wrong address and vote for them. Heard cases where in-person voters are told on Election Day that they’ve already voted? Their absentee ballot was voted by someone else first.

Fractal computing to the rescue
There’s a great video from 2020 with over a million views, focusing on Michigan vote tabulating procedures, which are similar in most of the rest of the country. Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, MIT PhD, explains the issues affecting voting system accuracy and exposes a “Weighted Race Feature” in the actual user manual for “Global Election Systems” software that allows system operators to change votes by any percentage for any candidate—i.e. by 200% or by 50%.
This “feature” is present in almost all voting systems and is seen as early as 2001.
In one case his team analyzed early voting and election day voting in four counties in the 2020 Michigan election. They concluded that in three major counties, Trump’s votes were decreased by at least 69,000 and Biden’s votes were increased by 69,000 using a computer algorithm within the voting machine software.
At the 21:00 mark they explain how it happened. In Michigan you can vote by selecting individual candidates or simply choose to vote for one political party or the other. Obviously a precinct with a lot of Republican-party-line voters would also have a lot of Republicans chosen by the vote-in-each-contest voters. But somehow 2020 data showed that the more Republican-leaning the precinct, the more votes were different from the one-party voters vs. the individual voters—always in favor of Biden! This demonstrates likely use of the weighted race feature, which was absent in a predominantly Democrat county. Even more damning is when the data is charted, the line is perfectly straight and the slope of the line is very similar in each county. This could not happen without a mathematical formula being applied to the actual number of votes.
So what can be done? Looking up individual entries on voter rolls, comparing them to local property records for non-existing addresses and submitting changes to the local Boards of Elections would take hundreds of years.

But now, fraud-savvy groups are analyzing voter rolls and using “fractal computing” to compare them to other data—county property records that show the type of building at each address so a voter can’t register if their address is a vacant lot or a convenience store, post office databases that show who has moved out of state, or a deceased voter who is listed as alive, then votes, then goes back to being deceased the next day. What if a single house with one bathroom has 35 people listed as living there?

The one thing in common among the candidates victimized by this level of fraud is not that they are Republicans, but they are MAGA conservatives. It’s clear that both parties use these tactics to favor Democrats and RINOs.
We need Voter ID and permanent voter registration cards, publicly viewable software, hand marked paper ballots, and all data to be kept for public viewing.
If we expect the RINOs to actively work to end election fraud, we are just plain stupid. We must insist on new leadership for the RNC, support opposition to Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House, and hope that turtle McConnell is ousted as the Senate Minority Leader. And do everything we can to support Kari Lake in her lawsuit to overturn the Arizona gubernatorial election.

Elon Musk's Twitter Files Dump

The New York Post story on Hunter Biden's laptop was no "hack." It was not "Russian disinformation." Nor was it "unsafe." The executives running Twitter in the 20 days before the 2020 presidential election clearly knew that, and tried to find other justifications for what amounted to raw censorship.
Elon Musk's release of internal Twitter correspondence around the censoring of the New York Post's blockbuster "Hunter Biden laptop" story merely confirms what most knew already -- that Twitter under Jack Dorsey and Parag Agrawal was staffed with Democratic Party partisans who censored information they thought would damage their cause.
In a Tweet thread on Dec. 2, journalist Matt Taibbi exposes the smoking gun -- the frantic attempts to claim without evidence that any reference to the NY Post's story had to be banned from the platform because it might have come from "hacked materials." This, we can see now, was never seriously believed, even inside Twitter, as the email exchanges make clear.
The Post story was no "hack." It was not "Russian disinformation." Nor was it "unsafe." The executives running Twitter in the 20 days before the 2020 presidential election clearly knew that, and tried to find other justifications for what amounted to raw censorship.
With perhaps one hopeful exception, though, there is nothing new about any of this. Twitter's bias in censoring or banning conservative accounts for "hate speech" while happily servicing accounts for Iran's "Supreme Leader" and the Taliban is a running joke. In a series of secretly recorded interviews with Twitter employees, Project Veritas had already confirmed that "shadow-banning," manipulating the number of followers shown by certain accounts, and selectively "de-boosting" certain tweets in its algorithms was a well-established, standard manipulation of the platform's stated purpose: "We serve the public conversation. That's why it matters to us that people have a free and safe space to talk."
Still, Taibbi's disclosures are the paper trail proving these policies were discussed and enforced at the highest levels of the company prior to Musk's purchase. Indeed, the unfairness of these policies was apparently the very reason Musk moved to buy Twitter for $44 billion. Musk has been promising to make these disclosures public since taking over the company, and smartly gave them to Taibbi to vet before doing so.
The "one small exception" was the quiet effort documented in the release by Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), a very progressive Democrat whose district includes most of Silicon Valley, to appeal to Twitter's then head of legal, policy, and trust, Vijaya Gadde, to respect the principle of the First Amendment. In an email exchange, Khanna gave Gadde a robust defense of free speech (and some sound political advice), all of which fell on her deaf ears. Kudos to Khanna for his lonely but principled stand for free speech. Taibbi also noted in his thread that Khanna was the only Democratic official to do so.
The Post's story, while clearly intended as an "October surprise," still mattered because it substantiated and corroborated earlier reporting done on Hunter Biden's business deals during the time his father served as vice president under President Barack Obama. I provided some of that earlier reporting in two books, Secret Empires in 2018 and more details in Profiles in Corruption in 2020. Both books documented through public records Hunter Biden's dealings with foreign interests connected to Chinese intelligence through his company, Rosemont Seneca BHT, and his time serving without any qualifications on the board of a shady Ukrainian oil-and-gas firm called Burisma.
The researchers at the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) found the paperwork on these deals. We did not, until later, have emails from or sent to Hunter Biden that discussed these facts. We commend the reporting and research team at the New York Post for obtaining this information, performing the forensic examinations necessary to determine its authenticity, and publish the truth.
Of all the corruption stories I have investigated through the years, the web of the Biden family's corruption has been the widest and most complex. Following the money on this story has led me to Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Costa Rica, Russia, and most significantly, to Communist China. The Biden family has traded on Joe's influence, with "the Big Guy's" knowledge, in these places and others.
China's enticements to the Biden family, however, are but one example of this campaign. We learned through this research how insidious and effective the Chinese government has been at co-opting not just the families of senior elected officials, but captains of industry, financial behemoths, and the wealthiest American philanthropists and educational institutions. It raised my awareness of how strategic China has been with these kinds of temptations. GAI is continuing to look at how China has corrupted and undermined America in ways both obvious and subtle. Readers can expect to hear more from GAI on this subject in the future.
The Biden story also showed the ingenuity of corrupt politicians who essentially "outsource" their corruption to family members rather than risk a possible paper trail leading back to themselves. The Bidens, even more than Bill and Hillary Clinton before them, were a family influence business. The Post's reporting on those schemes -- in the participants' own words -- was gratifying to those of us who have covered this story since 2017.
But there are still more threads here. When the Post's story first broke, I recall being relieved that the FBI had secured the original computer and its external hard drive belonging to Hunter Biden. The bureau obtained them through a subpoena in January 2020, months before Rudy Giuliani gave a copy of a copy made by the computer shop owner just before he handed both to the FBI.
However, the FBI's Hunter Biden investigation, which is based on information obtained from the laptop and from other sources, still drags on nearly three years later. In the intervening time, we have all learned about other stories of political interference and foot-dragging within the FBI. The public is right to wonder whether federal prosecutors are as serious about pursuing this case as Twitter's Democratic partisans were in squelching it.
Further, President Biden's Attorney General, Merrick Garland, continues to task the FBI with investigating the January 6, 2021 riots as a deep conspiracy, while simultaneously ignoring what certainly appear to have been well-organized efforts by Antifa to foment violence during the 2020 George Floyd riots, and violence done by pro-abortion organizations after someone on Twitter publicized the home addresses of Supreme Court justices, leading to one attempt on Justice Kavanaugh's life and the fire-bombing or vandalization of several pro-life pregnancy centers.
As an investigative journalist focused on government corruption, I try to stay in my lane. Yet, the impulses we see documented in Taibbi's thread by Twitter's most senior executives have a familiar ring. These are people, slightly removed from the dirty details, who are worried not about "serving the public conversation," as their corporate motto would have it, but ingratiating themselves with a political party and shielding its candidates from criticism. Principle or devotion to free speech abandoned them long ago, to be replaced by the arrogance of dictating what is good for the rest of us to read or not to read.
Yoel Roth resigned as Twitter's head of trust and safety a few weeks after Musk took control of the company. Back in 2020, Roth was instrumental in enforcing Twitter's ban on the Post's original story. In a recent podcast, Roth described the mood at that time this way: "We didn't know what to believe, we didn't know what was true, there was smoke." He explained that the story "set off every single one of my finely tuned APT28 'hack and leak campaign' alarm bells." APT28 is another name for the Russian cybercrime group also called "Fancy Bear," which has engaged in disinformation efforts in the past.
Even now, Roth still tries to have it both ways. In the same answer I just quoted from, he also claimed, "ultimately for me, [the story] didn't reach a place where I was comfortable removing this content from Twitter."
But remove it he did, and for more than two critical weeks, under secret pressure from the Biden campaign and Democrats who were desperate to bury a devastating story that implicated their presidential candidate in his son's corruption by Chinese intelligence-connected businessmen. The Post's story was factually accurate, legitimately reported, and was (belatedly) authenticated by other news outlets. In short, there was no reason to do what Twitter, Roth, and Gadde did, other than pleasing a political party with whom they agreed.
