THE FLOOD IS COMING
Rep. Buddy Carter
Christmas is coming early… for illegal immigrants
In three short days, Title 42 will expire. This is the emergency immigration policy that allows border patrol agents to swiftly remove illegal crossers from the country. In otherwards, it is the only thing standing between our already overcrowded southern border and a full-blown breakdown of our immigration system.
No one is prepared for this rule to go away. Except, of course, for the people trying to exploit its absence. Oh, and they’re already lining up! Take a look for yourself:
Border Crisis
Imagine if you were a border patrol agent right now. You’re already facing the highest border crossing numbers ever, you’re being run by an administration that directly undermines you, you’re not allowed to use the remain in Mexico policy despite the Supreme Court’s approval, and you’re about to lose the number one tool you have at your disposal – Title 42.
Frankly, I don’t know how these brave men and women do it. They are on the front lines of protecting our homes, families, and communities from illegal drugs, criminals, and the Mexican cartel’s human smuggling operations. They see children being used as pawns and mothers with wristbands indicating that they’ve paid the cartel to cross.
I don’t mean to sound hyperbolic here, but it’s just the truth. When I visited the southern border back in June, the border patrol agents pleaded with us to do everything we can to keep Title 42 in place. One man described it like standing in front of a fire hydrant; Biden is about to turn the pressure way up.
A nation without borders is not a nation, and I do not trust the Biden Administration to protect ours.
Pray for our border patrol agents; they need a Christmas miracle.

‘Inconvenient Anti-Semites’ in New York’s War on Hate
Three blind spots render incoherent the promises of liberal politicians to protect Jews from attack.
By Elliot Kaufman
After a long month of attacks on Jews in New York City, the big guns held a symposium at a Manhattan synagogue Monday. One by one, Mayor Eric Adams, Gov. Kathy Hochul, Sen. Chuck Schumer and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas pledged to fight anti-Semitism. After blaming Donald Trump, Ms. Hochul announced a new hate-prevention initiative and vowed, “When you attack one of us, anyone, that is picking a fight with 20 million other New Yorkers, starting with your governor.”
Liberals love to fight hate, but I’d rather they punish crime. Americans Against Antisemitism has studied 194 anti-Jewish assaults and 135 property incidents in New York City since 2018 but can identify only two offenders who have been sentenced to prison. Others receive probation or counseling or their charges aren’t followed up. “There are practically no serious consequences to be had,” the group concludes in a July report.
Examples abound: In May 2021, a Brooklyn man with an attempted-murder charge pending yelled “F—ing Jews! I’m going to f— you up” and punched a 67-year-old man in the head. He was arrested but hate-crime charges were dropped and he pleaded down to a misdemeanor.
The New York Police Department reported 45 hate crimes against Jews in November, more than double the monthly figure from a year ago. It records 278 such crimes this year, up 53%, and 100 arrests, up 61%. Why don’t prosecutions and prison sentences follow? “I’ve asked the question for years with the DAs of the world, with legislators,” Rabbi David Niederman, a top Satmar Hasidic leader in Brooklyn, says in an interview. He gets no answer.
This is the first blind spot in the war on hate. Determined to “end mass incarceration,” liberals have pulled back police, narrowed prosecutions, restricted cash bail, and gutted mandatory minimums. At the same time, liberals want to crack down on certain “bad” crimes, such as those motivated by hate. But the scholar James Q. Wilson showed long ago that criminals don’t really specialize. Just as substantial proportions of drug and property offenders go on to commit violent crimes, the majority of hate-crime offenders have prior, non-hate-related arrests.
Someone who punches a Jew on the street is also likely to punch and menace others, commit robberies and deface property. By fixating on special hate instead of shared criminality, liberals miss how bringing incarceration rates to multidecade lows has left on the streets antisocial criminals predisposed to attack Jews.
When they do attack, the system breaks down. Youths are unlikely to be prosecuted, so there’s little reason for police to book them. Harassment is barely worth a prosecutor’s time. An assault isn’t a hate crime unless the attacker states his motive—and even then, it’s burdensome to prove, so the hate-crime charge is often dropped and the attack treated as a regular assault. Then, many defendants plead down or have their charges dropped. “They get a slap on the wrist, at best,” Rabbi Niederman says. Since New York’s bail reform prohibits judges from considering the danger defendants pose to others, most criminals are released immediately. At last, when incarceration rates fall, activists call it justice.

Iran: Our uranium enrichment capacity is at record levels
Announcement comes a day before UN nuclear monitors are set to visit the country.
Iran nuclear program
Iran said on Saturday its uranium enrichment capacity has increased to record levels, in an announcement which comes a day before UN nuclear monitors are set to visit the country, AFP reported.
"Currently, the enrichment capacity of the country has reached more than twice the entire history of this industry," Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, was quoted as saying by state news agency IRNA.
"Nuclear energy and atomic power production have great economic savings for the country and are effective in reducing fossil and non-renewable fuel consumption and environmental problems," he added.
Iran has continuously scaled back its compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal it signed with world powers, in response to former US President Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the agreement in May of 2018.
Last month, Tehran announced that it has begun enriching uranium to 60 percent at a second facility.
The Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced on Wednesday that a technical team will visit Iran on Sunday to try to resolve a deadlock over the detection of traces of radioactive material at sites not declared as having hosted nuclear activities.
The IAEA has long been pressing Iran to provide answers on the presence of undeclared nuclear material found at three sites.
A recent report by the agency concluded there had been "no progress" in the long-standing probe, which has been a key sticking point in talks on a return to the 2015 nuclear deal.
The impasse over the agency's probe comes as wider talks to revive the 2015 nuclear deal are stalled.
Iran in September announced it had submitted its comments to the US response to the European Union’s draft for reviving the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
While Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said at the time that Iran’s response was prepared based on a constructive approach, a senior Biden administration official said the Iranian response "is not at all encouraging.”
A US official later said that the efforts to revive the 2015 Iran nuclear deal have “hit a wall” because of Iran's insistence on the closure of the UN nuclear watchdog's investigations.

The West Needs To Fully Cut Ties with Iran's Ruling Mullahs
by Majid Rafizadeh
In spite of the Iranian regime's brutal crackdown on protesters, many Western governments are maintaining their diplomatic relationships with the ruling mullahs and turning a blind eye to the regime's sickening human rights violations. Pictured: Farideh Moradkhani, niece of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, denounces the Iranian regime in a video posted on YouTube. (Photo by AFP via Getty Images)
In spite of the Iranian regime's brutal crackdown on protesters, many Western governments are maintaining their diplomatic relationships with the ruling mullahs and turning a blind eye to the regime's sickening human rights violations. Where, also, are the women's movements of the West?
The regime recently executed a 23-year-old protester after a hasty and unfair trial. He was convicted of the vague charge of "enmity against Allah". According to Diana Eltahawy, Amnesty International's Deputy Director for the Middle East and North Africa:
"We are horrified that the Iranian authorities have executed Mohsen Shekari, less than three weeks after they convicted and sentenced him to death in a grossly unfair sham trial. With the Iranian authorities brutally acting on their public threats to expedite capital proceedings and carry out executions swiftly, we fear that other protesters under death sentences or charged with capital offences are at imminent risk of being sent to their deaths."
According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Iranian regime has recently killed at least 300 people and arrested 14,000.
Even though a large number of high level public figures, celebrities, athletes are supporting the protesters and turning against the regime, calls for international support by many Iranians are being totally ignored.
The regime has threatened the protestors, particularly actresses who have been appearing without the mandatory headscarf. Mohsen Mansouri, governor of Tehran Province, warned that the government would be dealing with "celebrities who fanned the flames of riots and with those who sign [lucrative] contracts with radio and television, but in a time of riots take a stand against security and order. Of course, we may not deal with some cases immediately due to material reasons, but without a doubt we will deal with them after a few days and at the right time."
Some family members of Iran's top officials are protesting against the leadership as well. The sister of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Badri Hosseini Khamenei, came out criticizing the whole establishment and calling for the overthrow of her brother's "despotic caliphate":
"The regime of the Islamic Republic of Khomeini and Ali Khamenei has brought nothing but suffering and oppression to Iran and Iranians. I hope to see the victory of the people and the overthrow of this tyranny ruling Iran soon."
She added that her brother, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei does not "listen to the voice of the people of Iran and wrongly considers the voice of his mercenaries and money-grubbers to be the voice of the Iranian people."
Ayatollah Khamenei's niece, Farideh Moradkhani, also urged the United Nations, governments, and human rights organizations to act:
"O free people, be with us and help us, and tell your governments to stop supporting this murderous and child-killing regime. This regime is not even loyal to any of its own religious principles, and does not know any laws or rules except force and maintaining power in any way possible. How long do we have to witness oppression by political autocrats in any part of this world".
Moradkhani drew a comparison between the Iranian regime and Hitler's regime:
"Isn't the experience of Hitler, Mussolini, Ceausescu, Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein, Khomeini, and this last one Khamenei enough to make the world think of a new way? We expect that the United Nations and all the organizations that derive their value and credibility from the goal of freedom and justice for all humanity, take practical steps and implement deterrent and effective activities against the stark, horrible crimes that are going on in Iran against the women, men and children. Stop being indifferent and prevent this horrible genocide. Free and brave Iranians will overthrow this autocratic and repressive regime. What is urgently needed is not to support this regime that killed thousands of Iranians in four days in November 2019, while the world was only watching. This event and similar events are a disgrace for every free and conscientious person."
It is shocking and reveals worlds about the rank hypocrisy of Western governments -- both in Europe and the United States -- that, in spite of all the human rights violations committed by Iran's regime, not a single Western country, except for Ukraine, has -- at the very least -- recalled its representatives from Iran, closed its embassies and cut diplomatic ties with Iran's murderous and child-killing regime.
