ZOA: European Union Must Stop Undermining Jewish State of Israel
Forty members of the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, have responded to a leaked European Union strategy document which detailed how the organization seeks to further its hostile activities toward Israel. In a letter to European Union officials, the Israeli lawmakers highlighted “the one-sidedness and animosity of the EU towards the State of Israel and the Jewish people,” drawing attention to fact that the EU and member states provide “ongoing and continuous contribution, both direct and indirect, to campaigns designed to tarnish Israel’s name, from blood libels regarding alleged violence on the part of settlers, through unfounded accusations that Israel deliberately harms children, to specious comparisons of the policies of the government of the State of Israel to those of the Apartheid regime in South Africa of yesteryear.
The letter also cites the fact that the EU “completely ignores our people’s historical affinity to our homeland, completely ignores the political agreements and the status of the State of Israel in Area C and seeks to establish the 1949 borders as Israel’s final-status permanent borders – in complete disregard of the Jewish communities in the area.” Area C is a section of Judea and Samaria mistakenly but commonly referred to as “the West Bank,” that is under Israeli jurisdiction. The 1949 armistice lines are frequently, but also incorrectly, called “the 1967 borders,” describing Israel’s boundaries prior to the 1967 defensive war in which Israel prevailed over multiple Arab armies sworn to her destruction. Israeli statesman Abba Eban once described the 1949 map as “for us equivalent to insecurity and danger. I do not exaggerate when I say that it has for us something of a memory of Auschwitz.”
Zionist Organization of America National President Morton A. Klein stated, “The continent of Europe, which is soaked in the blood of millions of Jews, has no business intruding in the affairs of, let alone undermining, the Jewish state of Israel. Since the sacking of Jerusalem and the expulsion of many of the Jews of Judea by the Roman empire, Jews have been subject to the whims of Europeans for thousands of years. Since the establishment of the modern state of Israel, which democratically elects its leaders who set national policy, that can and must no longer be the case. The EU and member states have no right nor reason to interfere with Israeli sovereignty. As the child of Holocaust survivors and having lost most of my family to the antisemitism of Europe, I can hardly find any activity more outrageous.”

China Laughs At Biden’s Latest Dumb Order
(PresidentialHill.com)- On Monday, the Biden administration announced $55 billion in economic, health, and security aid for African countries did not garner much praise from Chinese state media.
Chinese editorial writers scoffed at the Biden team’s attempt to match China’s growing sway on the continent by throwing some cash around, especially given that American aid comes with many human rights restrictions.
According to China’s state-run Global Times, the $55 billion giveaway and week of meetings with African leaders were nothing but a desperate attempt to counter Beijing’s expanding African footprint.
According to an article in the US Foreign Policy, Team Biden wants to court African nations without talking about Beijing. But on the first day, this was broken. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin claimed that China was “destabilizing” the continent by increasing its economic clout “daily” during a panel discussion with several African leaders.
African nations are sick of the United States and its disparaging remarks. The leaders of 49 countries and the African Union are visiting the US this time, but they won’t be having dinner at the White House, listening to Americans lecture them, or hearing them disparage China. They have made it clear that they are unwilling to give in to pressure to choose sides and want the US to respect them instead.
The Global Times asserted that President Joe Biden is merely trying to piggyback on the good work China has already done after giving a little backhanded praise for “sincere help to Africa,” such as his announcement that he would support adding the African Union to the Group of 20 countries.
The US has created a Gordian knot with its African strategy. Instead of assisting African nations in overcoming development challenges, it has set its sights on thwarting Chinese development on the African continent, which is fundamentally against the will of African nations and detrimental to their interests. In other words, the US only wants to paint a few pieces of cake before allowing African nations to pry away the bricks of projects constructed with Chinese assistance.
African leaders are aware that China and the U.S. are vying for influence, experts on the continent say. The bidding war intensifies as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine reshuffles the geopolitical deck. African leaders are fully aware that the Chinese will never criticize them for doing whatever it takes to maintain their positions.

Another Russian Critic of Putin's War Has Died After Falling From a Window

A Russian politician who once criticized President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine was found dead after a fall from a window in India.
Pavel Antov, a member of Putin's United Russia party and a wealthy sausage tycoon, was found lying in a pool of blood outside the Hotel Sai International in Rayagada, in the southern state of Odisha, on Saturday, according to local media reports.
Antov died two days after his friend, Vladimir Bidenov, was found dead in a room at the same hotel, India's NDTV reported.

Alexei Idamkin, Russia's consul general in Kolkata, told the Tass news agency that Antov "fell" from a window.
Idamkin said that foul play was not suspected in the death of either man.
"We are aware of the deaths of two Russian citizens. We are in touch with the relatives of these people and the police department of the city where it happened," he told the state RIA Novosti news agency. Bidenov's body had already been cremated, he said.
Odisha's Director General of Police, Sunil Kumar Bansal, ordered a Crime Branch probe into the two deaths since foreign nationals were involved, The Indian Express newspaper reported.
The paper quoted Bansal as saying that the initial post-mortem report attributed Bidenov's death to a heart attack, but authorities were still waiting for final autopsy reports on both men. The inquiry so far into Antov's death had not suggested foul play, Bansal said.
The two men were in a group of four Russian tourists staying at the hotel.
Newsweek has contacted Russian and Indian authorities for further comment.
Antov is the latest prominent Russian to die in mysterious circumstances since the invasion of Ukraine began, including some who have criticized it.
In June, he apparently reacted to a Russian missile attack on a residential building in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv by writing in a WhatsApp message that it's "extremely difficult to call all this anything but terror," the BBC reported.
The message was then deleted and Antov wrote on social media that it had been posted accidentally.
He said he supported Putin, was a "patriot of my country" and supported the invasion of Ukraine.
His death comes after Ravil Maganov, the chairman of Russian oil giant Lukoil, died in September after falling from a hospital window in Moscow.
Lukoil's board of directors had issued a statement in March expressing "its deepest concerns about the tragic events in Ukraine."
There has been several other cases of Russians mysteriously falling from windows to their deaths.
In August, Dan Rapoport, a Latvian-American investment banker and outspoken Putin critic, died after a fall from a luxury apartment building in Washington, D.C.
Police said they didn't suspect foul play, but Rapoport's friends have said they fear he was assassinated.
