Today was one of mixed emotions. First, it was the first day of the Jewish New Year and a very dear friend underwent serious surgery and seems to be doing well. At the same time, another very dear friend passed away from ALS. This is my second experience with a friend being afflicted with this terrible disease. The Jewish calendar equivalence for 2022 is 5783. 5783 was a very difficult year. Not only did we experience a host of dear friends leaving The Landings for other locations but we lost a lot of friends due to a variety of health issues and just plain aging. I too had a series of health matters that are chronic and recurring. It comes with age so you have to steel yourself and be thankful when the news is good.
Between now and Yom Kippur the story goes that God decides not only who shall live and who shall die but in what manner as well.

I believe Warnock has run a political campaign and his nastiness is undeserving of a Pastor. Herschel is not qualified to be a Senator but neither was/is Warnock. Warnock has not grown in the job and is simply a stooge of radical Democrats.
Whether Herschel can grow into the job remains to be seen.
His campaign was low key, he was steady and his responses to Warnock's charges speak for themselves.

- Making the case to Middle America
- By Salena Zito
- MONONGAHELA, Pennsylvania — Whether by design or necessity, the decision by House Republican leaders to kick off their Commitment to America in this river town on the edge of Allegheny County was quite apt.
- There is no easy way to get here from Pittsburgh, or from the airport, or from our nation’s capital. House Minority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana laughed, saying the very point of the Commitment to America is to reach the people and places Congress neglects to the point that it needs a GPS to find them and a dictionary to spell them. The Republicans' goal, he said, is to show up and hear the concerns of people in places just like this one and to commit to finding solutions
