ONE FOR HISTORY BUFFS

THAT I BET YOU DID NOT

 KNOW

In 1975, President Ford was left to manage the difficult ending of the Vietnam War. President Ford went to Congress for a relief package to allow American personnel and our allies to evacuate.

However, there was ONE US SENATOR who opposed any such support. The result was the embarrassing and hurried evacuation from the roof of the American embassy in Saigon

This senator reveled in the embarrassment and did everything he could to leverage it politically against Ford.  Despite the efforts of this U.S. Senator--President Ford managed to  rescue 1,500 South Vietnamese allies prior to the country's fall. Had President Ford not acted quickly, these people would have been  targeted and slaughtered for their support for America . When they arrived in America , President Ford asked Congress for a package to assist these refugees to integrate into American society.

That SAME troublesome SENATOR TORPEDOED ANY SUPPORT for these shell shocked, anti-communist, Americans and our helpers, the refugees.

Instead, President Ford had to recruit Christian organizations to offer assistance on a voluntary basis.    As he did so, the Senator belittled those efforts.   What kind of person would oppose President Ford's tireless work to do the right and humanitarian thing?   Who would want to play politics with the well-being of innocent people who stood by America in the tragic Vietnam War?

THAT SENATOR WAS JOE BIDEN

Tony Bobulinski and the Biden Family Business

Hunter’s former partner tells Congress how Joe & Co. sold influence.

Remember Tony Bobulinski? He’s the former Hunter Biden business partner who exposed details about the Biden family business in 2020 but was ignored by the press. Last week he testified before the House Oversight and Judiciary committees, and he confirmed how the Bidens sold political influence and the family “brand.”

A businessman with international experience, Mr. Bobulinski was recruited to work with Hunter Biden, Rob Walker and James Gilliar on a business venture with CEFC, a China-based energy firm with ties to the Chinese Communist Party. Hunter later eased out Mr. Bobulinski, but not before Mr. Bobulinski saw how the Biden family business worked. He has provided dozens of emails, text messages and business and financial documents to back up his testimony.

Mr. Gilliar recruited Mr. Bobulinski in 2017 to meet Mr. Gilliar’s partner and be part of what Mr. Bobulinski was told would be a “massive” deal with CEFC. The partner was Hunter. Mr. Bobulinski says it was made clear to him that Hunter’s contribution was “providing his name and the power of his family and what they’ve developed over the prior 50 years.”

He says Joe Biden was also central to the deal. Mr. Bobulinski says he met the then former Vice President in early May 2017 in Los Angeles in the context of the CEFC deal. Hunter arranged a meeting with his father, though Mr. Bobulinski says he was “coached” by his partners that “this is going to be a high-level meeting. We’re not going to go into a lot of detail” about CEFC.

This was prelude to an email chain in mid-May that discussed shares in the new business venture, including “10 held by H for the big guy.” Mr. Bobulinski says “the big guy—100 percent—is Joe Biden.” He told the committees that “not once did anybody else that was on that email chain” question this phrase because everyone knew “who they were talking about.”

Mr. Bobulinksi provided the committee with texts and emails in which Hunter and Mr. Gilliar refer to Joe’s involvement in the deal. Mr. Gilliar warned Mr. Bobulinski in late May in a text: “Don’t mention Joe being involved, it’s only when u are face to face, I know u know that but they are paranoid.”

Mr. Bobulinski says another dispute concerned a sudden demand that James Biden, Joe’s brother, get a stake. Mr. Gilliar explained in a text message that this was necessary because “H could be unreliable, so I pushed another family member.”

Mr. Bobulinski says he once asked James Biden about the potential political implications of the deal: “Aren’t you guys concerned that if Joe does run for President of the United States in the future that you guys are doing business directly with the Chinese?” He says James Biden laughed and responded: “Plausible deniability.

Mr. Bobulinski had tough words for Mr. Walker’s recent testimony claiming to be unaware of Joe’s involvement. “For every one of these guys to now have amnesia or, like, you know, claim that, ‘Oh, Hunter wasn’t really talking about his father’ is just absurd,” he told the committees.

He points to “stacks of evidence that Joe Biden showed up at meetings, shook hands, participated in phone calls,” including claims he was on at least 20 Hunter business calls.

Joe Biden “was calling to demonstrate the Biden brand to whoever was in that meeting, whether it was the Ukrainians, the Romanians, the Russians, Colombians, Chinese, whoever it was. That’s all he had to do.” Mr. Bobulinski says. “Just him being on the phone is evidence of involvement and enabling the transaction.”

Mr. Bobulinski first tried to tell his story in the days before the 2020 election, but the press closed ranks around the Bidens. He told the House last week that he gave a voluntary interview to the FBI in October 2020, but the FBI never followed up. He was also never contacted by U.S. Attorney David Weiss, who is investigating Hunter. He says he was warned by Mr. Walker in October 2020 to stop talking because his claims were “going to bury us.”

Voters can decide if this matters to their choice for President, but it is a long way from Joe Biden’s 2020 claims that he had nothing to do with Hunter’s business. As Mr. Bobulinski put it to the committee: “The only reason any of these international business transactions took place, with tens of millions of dollars flowing directly to the Biden family, was because Joe Biden was in high office. The Biden family business was Joe Biden, period.”

The Oversight Committee says it has found that more than $20 million in payments from foreign sources flowed to Biden family members and business associates. The political reality is that Mr. Trump will use all of this to offset voter concern about his various trials. It’s one more reason for Democrats to reconsider the risks of Mr. Biden as their nominee.

Jointly sponsored by the ACRU (American Constitutional Rights Union) and AMAC (Association of Mature American Citizens), the Bootcamp for Boomers event was a rousing success for a standing-room crowd at the Brownwood Hotel & Spa in The Villages, Florida.

ACRU Executive director and former congressman Allen West keynoted the event, delivering a hard-hitting message diving into the importance of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights and how we must all stand up and fight for what we believe in.

LTC West was joined by a cast of speakers, including collegiate swimmer and women’s rights advocate Riley Gaines, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), his wife Erika Donalds, a strong advocate of school choice and founder of OptimaEd. Other speakers addressed a variety of topics aimed at enabling bootcamp participants to join the fight to protect our Constitutional Republic. ACRU Chairman Lori Roman, AMAC CEO Rebecca Weber, Leadership Institute’s Angela Faulkner, Honest Elections Project’s Executive Director Jason Snead and many more rounded out the agenda.

PHILADELPHIA — Northeast Philadelphia native Marc Rayfield is a registered Democrat, considers himself a liberal, and voted for Democrats John Fetterman (for Senate) and Josh Shapiro (for governor) in 2022 and for Joe Biden in 2020. Now, though, he says he finds himself estranged from the party due to rising crime and homelessness in his beloved city of Philadelphia.

Because of his crime concerns, Rayfield is now doing something he thought he’d never do in his life: buying a gun and going to target practice. So is his wife.

“I see what’s taken place in cities across the country,” said Rayfield, who is well respected in the community for his years of volunteer efforts for various Philadelphia organizations. “I travel a lot. I’ve been to every major city in the last year in the country.”

Rayfield is a 60-year-old former executive at CBS News who took the skills he learned in the news business for over three decades into the organic spirit business as an entrepreneur. His new gun decision, he said, was “largely influenced by a lot of the social policies that are really impacting our cities coming out of the death of George Floyd and COVID.”

“We decided, as somebody who had never fired a gun in my life, that it was about time to be open-minded and considerate,” he explained of taking gun safety lessons through a program that uses certified instructors.

“The final straw was sort of seeing what’s taking place as a result of what’s going on in Gaza and how that’s impacting college campuses and the rise in antisemitism,” he said, adding, “It was the final straw, but not the first straw.”

Rayfield is by no stretch of the imagination an uninformed voter. He says he knows what is at stake in this year’s presidential election, which is shaping up to be a rematch between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden, yet he finds himself unhappy with his choices thanks to issues such as crime and the southern border crisis.

“Well, first of all, I would never vote for Trump, never, but I don’t feel great about Biden at all, and I would not vote for Kamala Harris,” he says definitively about all three.

Rayfield says he is hoping for two things: either a third-party candidate emerges who would ensure Trump loses, or Biden dramatically deciding over the summer to bow out.

“I’m hoping that maybe during the convention, he pulls the Lyndon Johnson and says that he’s not going to run again and they’ve already identified somebody, but I don’t even know who that person would be, but it would have to be anyone else but Biden and Harris,” he said.

Pennsylvania is arguably once again the most important state in the country in determining who the next president will be. Trump narrowly won it in 2016, but Biden narrowly won it in 2020.

If Biden wants to hold on to that narrow margin of victory, he cannot afford to lose one vote — in particular, voters such as Rayfield who is a reliable Democrat, lives in the Philly suburbs, and does not espouse the social justice requirements demanded of Biden from the progressive Left.

Yet Biden has lost him.
