Kings-N-Queens Car Wash! Taking A Collection For Webster Dictionary and Thesaurus!

In preparation for our lengthy 'bus man' holiday to see three of our four daughters and to ride around Wisconsin with the Bourlands', I decided to have our van cleaned and washed.

Several months ago I noticed a car wash business opened near Curry Cleaners so I decided to give them a try.

They were outstanding and very reasonable - $15 for a van.

I got into a discussion with the husband of the owner, Cecilia D.Scott, and asked him how he could make a living with three in help plus himself and charge what he did.  He told me in order to get established he thought it best to give a great car wash (all by hand because he cannot afford an  automatic car wash machine).

We discussed his water, electricity, and cleaning material and cloth costs as well as his labor costs and he replied he did about 150 cars/week, generated revenue of about $1900 and was doing ok. He has two men clean and wash each car and they get $2.50/car not including tips (I gave each $3.)

Why am I mentioning this.

First of all I recommend Kings-N-Queens Car Wash at 1170 E. Derenne Ave  - tel. 912 349 7350.

They will also pick up and deliver your car.

Second, I love to see entrepreneurs give it a shot because they are the underpinnings of our Republic.

Third, I particularly like to favor black entrepreneurs, where feasible, because they often have a tougher row to hoe.

I told Ms. Scott I would put something on my blog site about them and she was very appreciative.

Give them a try. I doubt you will be disappointed and you will be helping those who are more than willing to  help themselves.

In fact while I was sitting and waiting for my car another black man, Mr. King, engaged the owner's husband and noted he was surprised to see so many homeless with dogs and could not understand how they could be homeless and have enough to feed a dog.  I joshed him and said that Obama had a food stamp program just for animals of the homeless and he replied, I guess he will give them a check also.

This experience made my day!

I find it somewhat instructive that  heads of NATO Nations are meeting in Scotland to discuss what to do about Ukraine when the Scots are possibly getting ready to  break with England.  Yet,  NATO refuses any meaningful help to Ukrainians in their effort to remain independent of Russia.

I also find it ironic that Biden is beginning to say, more clearly, words one would hope/think Obama would be saying. However, which word accurately expresses Obama's non-strategy - degrade, roll back, shrink, manage?

Before this farce is over, I suspect Obama will claim he has no strategy because The Pentagon has given him so many  he cannot decide which one to choose yet, he repeated today, in his press conference, he has a clear objective .

So let me sum it up as I understand it:

Obama withdrew troops from Iraq but the 'mess' in Iraq was not his fault so now he has to come up with a strategy which he does not have but he has a clear objective which is to degrade, roll back, shrink and/or manage members of  ISIS.  Meanwhile,  Obama cannot bring himself to use the word terrorists but he is sending more Marines to execute his clear objective what ever it is and what difference does it make

Capiche?

P.S. I am taking up a collection to buy two books for Obama and The White House Library - A Webster Dictionary and a Thesaurus!!!

Will you contribute?

...As humorous as this sounds.....every last word of it is absolutely TRUE!1. In order to insure the uninsured, we first have to uninsure the insured.2. Next, we require the newly uninsured to be re-insured.3. To re-insure the newly uninsured, they are required to pay extra charges to be re-insured.4. The extra charges are required so that the original insured, who became uninsured, and then became re-insured, can pay enough extra so that the original uninsured can be insured, which will be free of charge to them. This, ladies and gentlemen, is called “redistribution of wealth” … or, by its more common name, SOCIALISM.
