LET THE SUCKER DIE! A Tiger Prosecutor!

===
Is Lieberman being realistic or is he throwing cold water on Kerry's parade?  Time will tell.

Personally, I go with Lieberman who is a hard nosed  realist.  (See 1 and 1a below.)
===
Walter Williams believes Obama is just plain incompetent and beyond learning!  (See 2 below.)
===
Don't believe what you can hear at your peril:

===
Mandella was a great man and leader as was Martin Luther King but all men stray and Mandella wa snot always right in his perceptions.  (See 3 below.)
===
You are starting to hear our left wing media pick up on Obama's hue and cry that this is a do nothing Congress because it only passed 62 laws.

I assume if Congress doubled the number then it would be a productive Congress.

To hear Pelosi say it "we have to pass it to find out what is in it" and of course "what difference does it matter."

The number of laws passed should not be the basis for judging whether Congress is effective.  Content trumps numbers and I would rather Congress pass little that is corrective and appropriate than a lot of laws that cause negative unintended consequences which is generally the case.

I would argue, we are drowning in useless, unproductive and overly costly and burdensome laws. What we need  is pass every law with a self ending time limit.  If the law works we can then re pass or modify it but if it does not do as intended let the SUCKER DIE!!!!

Sen. Rand Paul also makes a cogent observation why he and fellow Republicans are reluctant to continue passing unemployment legislation.

Paul pointed out a person who is unemployed for a long period of time is less likely to get a job than one unemployed for a briefer period.  Our unemployment laws allow recipients to claim they are seeking work when in fact little investigation is done to assure they are so, perhaps Rand is correct is suggesting  far too many unemployed take advantage of the system and hurt their employment abilities.

This Congressman was a prosecutor and he is a tiger.

THE RIGHT QUESTIONS ARE FINALLY BEING ASKED ... BY SC CONGRESSMAN TREY GOWDY!!!

1)Israel's Lieberman says peace with Palestinians not imminent
AFPo
Avigdor Lieberman arrives at the Magistrates Court in Jerusalem on November 6, 2013 before his acquittal in his fraud trial
  • .
Speaking to the Saban Centre for Middle East Policy in Washington and quoted on its website, Lieberman said: "Today the trust between the two sides is about zero. It's impossible to create peace if you don't have any credibility.

"I don't believe it is possible in the next year... to achieve a comprehensive solution to achieve some breakthrough but I think it is crucial to keep our dialogue."

He said it was crucial "because, even if you are not able to resolve the conflict, it's very important to manage this conflict."

Kerry, speaking Friday at the end of a visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories and talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas, was upbeat despite the negotiations having made little visible headway since they began in late July.

"I believe we are closer than we have been in years to bringing about the peace and the prosperity and the security that all of the people of this region deserve," Kerry said.

Lieberman is on his first trip to Washington since regaining his post last month after being cleared of corruption charges, and is there for talks with Kerry and with UN chief Ban Ki-Moon.

The right-wing leader quit in December 2012 after being charged with fraud and breach of trust.

His trip comes as Israel lobbies intensely for a tougher position from Washington in talks between major powers and Iran on its controversial nuclear programme, which were buoyed by a landmark interim deal last month.

Don't Repeat N. Korea Mistake with Iran

By Greg Richter

Rep. Mike McCaul, R-Texas, says the terrorist threat facing America is growing and spreading like a web across Africa and the Middle East.

“I believe the threat has become greater, not lesser,” said McCaul, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, on CNN's "State of the Union."

The White House has been touting a “false narrative and premise” that al Qaeda is now on the run because Osama bin Laden is dead, he said.

“I personally see it spreading like a spider web, like a wildfire in Africa through the Middle East,” McCaul said.

McCaul also said that former aides to President George W. Bush tell him one of the biggest mistakes they made was agreeing to accords with North Korea, which ended up getting nuclear weapons anyway.

"I don't want to see that same mistake happen in Iran," McCaul said Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union."

The chairman of House Homeland Security Committee said the United States has been working on sanctions for a decade, and he is worried about the six-month interim deal that allows Iran to continue enriching uranium for non-military purposes.

"What I'm concerned about is that we have not dismantled their program and yet relieved the sanctions, which is a $7 billion economic aid to the country," McCaul said.

McCaul added that he is troubled by the words of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday that the country's centrifuges will "never stop spinning."

"That sends to me a very cold, hard message that they are not intent of a civilian nuclear peaceful program, but getting a nuclear weapon," McCaul told CNN.

McCaul is among a group of senators wanting to see a bill passed to add new sanctions at the end of the six-month deal if the Iranians renege. He said it would give President Barack Obama added leverage in negotiations.

Also appearing on the show was Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who disagrees with the idea of adding sanctions. He said he thinks the interim deal makes sense, but still expressed skepticism that a final agreement will ever be passed. He called Obama's prediction of a "50-50 or worse" chance "optimistic."

"You can have a peaceful nuclear energy program with no enrichment," Schiff said, adding that Iran wants thousands of centrifuges only for the purpose of "fast breakout capability."

"I wouldn't begin the process by conceding anything on enrichment," Schiff said. Now that they have it, Iran will never lose their bomb-making know-how, he said. The only way to stop them once they build a nuclear weapon is a repeated bombing campaign that might also involve boots on the ground, he said.

McCaul said that he would like to employ moderate Muslim leaders in the fight against Islamic extremism.

Schiff said the U.S. is better at fighting terror that it ever has been, but noted, "we're never going to be 100 percent safe."

2)Economist Williams: Obama Incompetent, 'Beyond Learning'

President Barack Obama will never able to learn from the late Nelson Mandela about how to properly govern a nation, says Walter E. Williams, a syndicated columnist and economist at George Mason University.

"He's beyond learning. He has another agenda and, firstly, I don't think Obama is his own man," Williams told "The Steve Malzberg Show" at Newsmax TV.

"He is a puppet of George Soros," he added, referring to the liberal billionaire businessman and philanthropist.

Williams believes Obama's presidency ultimately will be regarded along the lines of Jimmy Carter's "somewhat failed" administration.

He said it is unfortunate that America's first black president is "incompetent."

"Back in 1947 when Jackie Robinson came into the Major Leagues … he had to be that good. Blacks could not afford an incompetent baseball player," Williams said.

"And as a result of Jackie Robinson, [Roy] Campanella, and all these other guys, I can get out and play baseball, and basketball as well, and nobody watching my behavior can say, 'Well damn, those blacks can't play baseball or basketball..'

"That is, right now we can afford, black people can afford incompetent baseball players or basketball players or football players but they cannot afford an incompetent president. And it turns out that Barack Obama is an incompetent president and a part of the tragedy of it."
But he said that says more about Americans than about Obama.

"This is the first time in our history that a person could have been elected to the highest office in the land who had long-time associations with people who hate our country such as Rev. [Jeremiah] Wright, who said, well black people should not sing God Bless America but … Damn America," Williams said.

" He was a long-time associate with Willie Ayers, who bombed the building along with his wife and other shady characters and so this says something about the American people who would elect a person to office like that.

But maybe a whole lot of whites, maybe they had some of their guilt taken care of by saying, well gee, I voted for a black person."

3)7 Nelson Mandela Quotes You Probably Won’t See In The U.S. Media
The former South African president, who died Thursday, was a revolutionary and a deep skeptic of American power.

Long live comrade Fidel Castro.”

“The UN took a strong stand against apartheid; and over the years, an international consensus was built, which helped to bring an end to this iniquitous system. But we know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians.”
