"The Lying King" Coming To Broadway! Unaccountable and Untouchable!

Just returned from Pittsburgh and will post some random items.

While in Pittsburgh we took our granddaughter to the zoo and I engaged in a conversation with my son about  the similarity between zoos and government.

Animals lose their freedom so humans can observe their behaviour in a captive environment.  If the animals were freed it is obvious they would not be able to take care of themselves because during their captivity they became totally dependent.  Having lost all their natural skills they would not survive if freed.

Sex After Surgery
A recent article in the Kentucky Post reported that a woman, one Anne Mari  has sued St Luke's hospital, saying that after her husband had surgery there, he lost all interest in sex.
A hospital spokesman replied ... "Mr. Maynard was admitted in Ophthalmology – all we did was correct his vision."

"The Lying King" Is Going Broadway!

Three years ago I began an enterprise in Gaza and opened several eateries and named them Infi Delis.  I
sought investors and did not raise one shekel.

I am now selling these establishments to a Palestinian and he is borrowing the money from The Muslim
Brotherhood.

The new purchaser plans to keep the menu the same and will continue to name the sandwiches/dishes
after Islamic radical martyrs such as: Blown up Baloney!

In order to avoid taxes I am not repatriating the sale proceeds but rather am investing them in a Broadway
Musical entitled "The Lying King." This will be unusual for several reasons.

First, it will be the first known musical to star a former world leader.

Second, the role of the Lying Lioness will star the former Secretary of State of that nation.

Third, I am in negotiations to have such radical liberals as Jane, Barbara and Susan perform in the chorus.

Fourth, the off Broadway tryouts will begin in Israel and advance sales are going well.

Finally, I am seeking investors and am offering them front row seats along with a per cent of all profits.

The plot is a simple one. It is about a liar who became king and destroyed a once proud and healthy
nation in his pursuit of fairness, redistribution of wealth and entitlements.

The musical score will also be unique and will be a combination of  Rap and Kleizmer.

The lyrics are being written by a collaborative group of leaders from Russia, Syria and Iran.

I am seeking  17 additional investors. The corporation will be known as The Chai Investment Group and
will have an Israeli Charter.

If you have an interest please contact me by posting your name and telephone number on this memo
site.

Stay 'tuned!,

Most Republican politicians do not know how to explain solutions to problems they must and/or need to  address.

They get caught up in words us mortals do not understand because we do not live and breathe them.

Newt Gingrich has the rare ability to reduce an issue into language most people can understand.  He directs his talk both to their head and gut and connects the dots in ways they can understand.

Boehner, Ryan are policy wonks. Romney spoke above from a lofty altitude.

Democrats are vastly better at conveying their message and laying blame.  They lie unabashedly and repeatedly,  with a straight face and thus, make their lies believable.

In boxing it is the same way. You wrestle your opponent away from the referee and give him a few more jabs that, were they seen, might lose you points. Dirty, of course.  Effective yes.  Politics is dirty, winning is the goal and fighting to win is how Democrats play the game and they are good!

Most Republicans are too Patrician and frankly just dumb and dull.

My Representative, Jack Kingston, has the ability to score points and comes across as believable and sincere which he is.  It is a rare gift.

With respect to the Defunding Debacle, it was an unobtainable goal from the start and shutting down the government to achieve what was unobtainable was unwise but it still could have been explained in a more effective way but the press and media folks are not going to tell the truth and certainly Obama is incapable of telling the truth when it means accomplishing  a political advantage.

Shutting down the government gave Obama an opportunity to show his true colors but nothing he did was allowed to stick.  The idea that we could not fund our debt was another ruse but the unwashed are incapable of thinking through the math.

So the can was kicked down the road and some kind of budget will eventually be worked out but the Republicans blew another opportunity to explain how serious our financial plight really is and allowed the "Obamascare" implosion to get the  full recognition it truly deserves.

Once again, government proved how incompetent it is when it comes to  meeting a goal at a predetermined cost and that is why we need more and bigger government according to our radical liberal friends.

One day Republicans will learn Obama will never be held responsible and be held accountable for anything and his only goal is to cause them to turn against each other so Democrats will be able to win elections, bring fairness to a larger constituency of dependent citizens who will continue to vote themselves more and more largess.(See 1 below.)

You decide!

·       If you’re unemployed, you may be able to collect unemployment compensation…which, depending on the state in which  you reside, can be as much as $559 per week for 99 weeks.
·       You may also qualify for food stamps…distributed in the form of a magnetic stripe credit card which you present to the super market. That benefit could amount to an additional $1100 per month depending on the size of your family.
·       You may also qualify for a per/child clothing allowance of $200 for back to school clothing
·       You may also qualify for government subsidies for health care insurance under the Obamacare law of up to $4,000/yr.
·       You may also be classified as disabled…in which case you’ll get a parking space wherever you go…and a stipend of up to $400 /month.
·       You might qualify for a free I-Pad for your children for school
·       And…you don’t have to verify your address in order to vote
·       And…you don’t have to verify your income in order to qualify for Obamacare.
On the other hand, if you earn $50,000 per year, you will pay $21,525 in Federal, State and local taxes. On a net basis, the unemployed family breadwinner takes home more than you do, eats better than you do, and drives a newer car than you do…you schmuck!
So vote for the Democrats. They will keep you and 21 million government employees working…so that the underprivileged 50 % of our population doesn’t have to…work.

Ain’t this grand?

The Charge of the Defund Brigade

The failed Cruz-Lee-Heritage strategy may cost Republicans the Virginia governor's race.

By Kimberley A. Strassel

"Forward the Light Brigade! Charge for the guns!" he said. Into the Valley of Death, Rode the 600. –Alfred, Lord Tennyson.

On an October morning in the Crimea, 1854, British Lord Cardigan led his 600-strong cavalry force into a frontal assault of a fully dug-in and alerted Russian artillery battery. The charge was courageous. And it was suicidal.
The Light Brigade was ripped apart in the Valley of Death. Commenting on the bravery and utter futility of the attack, French Marshal Pierre Bosquet declared: "C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas la guerre. C'est de la folie." ("It is magnificent, but it is not war. It is folly.")

The Republican Party is in a disorderly retreat from its own Valley of Death, having been led there by Sens. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, flanked by drummers Heritage Action, FreedomWorks, Senate Conservatives Fund, and Club for Growth. Their cause was just, their charge courageous. And it was utterly suicidal. They were mowed down by a Democratic Party that was dug in, fully alerted and had every advantage.

Conservatives are now left to survey the carnage. And where to begin? The generals chose to turn their Defund ObamaCare operation into a litmus test of party purity, browbeating Republicans into issuing the one threat that Democrats understood was no threat at all: a government shutdown.

Mr. Obama and his team spent two weeks gleefully shelling Republicans for the government furloughs, the risk to the economy, their own confusion. The shutdown did unite one side: the Democratic Party, which hardened its resolve to do whatever necessary to protect the president's signature initiative.

The GOP's approval ratings tanked—to the lowest in Gallup history. (Didn't Heritage claim America supported this action?) Not long ago, Republicans were positioning themselves to employ a tough stance over the debt limit and the sequester to extract further budget concessions. By this week, weakened, divided, at risk of shouldering blame for default on top of the shutdown, they were forced to settle. They got little from this deal, save the right to do it all again. They were lucky Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell got them that.

The defunders managed one thing: to turn the Republican Party upon itself. Millions of frustrated conservatives who were told this fight was winnable are now furious at Republicans for not doing the impossible. This fury risks undermining what is in fact the GOP's best shot at taking down ObamaCare: winning next year's midterm elections.

There's more. The GOP's bright spot in recent years has been its dominance of reform governors in state capitals. Yet in Virginia, the blowback from furloughs of local workers has landed on conservative gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli, dragging him down in his fight against Democrat Terry McAuliffe. He's also getting crushed by negative ads. The left, which understands the stakes in Virginia, has spent an estimated $7.5 million more on the race than the right.

By contrast, many of those outside groups (like Heritage) supposedly devoted to the cause of electing real conservatives (like Mr. Cuccinelli ) have been blowing their money attacking fellow Republicans (like Mr. McConnell ) over defund, rather than playing for keeps in states (like Virginia) that will play crucial roles in upcoming federal elections. Democrats are, as a result, well poised in a few weeks to seize back Virginia—giving them another gloating point.

Finally, there is the opportunity cost. Had the militants chosen to hold back, to wait, as it were, for PR reinforcement, what might the GOP have won? The rollout of the ObamaCare exchanges has been a failure. Not "glitchy." Not "troubled." Failure. Had the GOP not been mired in shutdown headlines, had it spent 24/7 highlighting the enrollment disasters, the flood of premium hikes and canceled policies, the layoffs and cut hours, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius might at this moment be facing forced resignation. The GOP might be issuing its own terms for some form of ObamaCare surrender.

The Americans who supported the defund mission did so for the right reasons. They are correct that the law is a disaster, and that GOP leadership lacked a coherent plan to counter it this summer. They are correct that the House has every "right" to control the purse. They are correct that the party is too often rudderless, that it has lacked a vision, that it needs some bold figures willing to define a modern (which doesn't mean populist) conservatism.

But none of that changes the fact that Defund ObamaCare was the wrong fight, at the wrong time, facing impossible odds, and conducted by generals who lacked an endgame. Being right isn't always enough.
History is full of brave men who are famous mostly for losing. Republicans will have more shots to cut down ObamaCare, and pry out budget concessions. But to win those fights, they'll have to learn from this one. Brave charges mean little if they aren't followed by victory.

3)Mr. President, I rise today to talk about America’s debt problem. The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government can’t pay its own bills.

It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government’s reckless fiscal policies. Over the past five years, our federal debt has increased by $3.5 trillion to $8.6 trillion. That is  ‘‘trillion’’ with a ‘‘T.’’ That is money that we have borrowed from the Social Security trust fund, borrowed from China and Japan, borrowed from American taxpayers.

Numbers that large are sometimes hard to understand. Some people may wonder why they matter. Here is why: This year, the federal government will spend $220 billion on interest. That is more money to pay interest on our national debt than we’ll spend on Medicaid and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program.
That is more money to pay interest on our debt this year than we will spend on education, homeland security, transportation and veterans benefits combined. It is more money in one year than we are likely to spend to rebuild the devastated gulf coast in a way that honors the best of America. And the cost of our debt is one of the fastest growing expenses in the federal budget.
This rising debt is a hidden domestic enemy, robbing our cities and states of critical investments in infrastructure like bridges, ports and levees; robbing our families and our children of critical investments in education and health-care reform; robbing our seniors of the retirement and health security they have counted on.
Every dollar we pay in interest is a dollar that is not going to investment in America’s priorities. Instead, interest payments are a significant tax on all Americans — a debt tax that Washington doesn’t want to talk about. If Washington were serious about honest tax relief in this country, we would see an effort to reduce our national debt by returning to responsible fiscal policies.”
But we are not doing that. Despite repeated efforts by Senators Conrad and Feingold, the Senate continues to reject a return to the commonsense pay-go rules that used to apply. Previously, pay-go rules applied both to increases in mandatory spending and to tax cuts. The Senate had to abide by the commonsense budgeting principle of balancing expenses and revenues.
Unfortunately, the principle was abandoned, and now the demands of budget discipline apply only to spending. As a result, tax breaks have not been paid for by reductions in Federal spending, and thus the only way to pay for them has been to increase our deficit to historically high levels and borrow more and more money. Now we have to pay for those tax breaks plus the cost of borrowing for them. Instead of reducing the deficit, as some people claimed, the fiscal policies of this administration and its allies in Congress will add more than $600 million in debt for each of the next five years. That is why I will once again co-sponsor the pay-go amendment and continue to hope that my colleagues will return to a smart rule that has worked in the past and can work again.
Our debt also matters internationally. My friend, the ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee, likes to remind us that it took 42 presidents 224 years to run up only $1 trillion of foreign-held debt. This administration did more than that in just five years.
Now, there is nothing wrong with borrowing from foreign countries. But we must remember that the more we depend on foreign nations to lend us money, the more our economic security is tied to the whims of foreign leaders whose interests might not be aligned with ours.
Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.

OMG… this was actually written in 2006 to President Bush by Barrack Obama when he was just a freshman Senator from Illinois.

Even the liberal website Snopes confirms it is true…http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/debtlimit.asp

Mike Lee or Ted Cruz should stand before congress and read this exact same speech back to Obama.
