The Enemy Is Us - Three Important Developments. Crying Wolf? Blind Generation. Trump Achieves Another Win-Win?

Two perspectives are dominant: the Judeo-Christian view and the Leftist/Marxist approach. The first approach is the reason America has been such a remarkably good and decent society compared to all others—and Dennis explains why it remains crucial for maintaining a good society. Click here to watch.

Three important things happened yesterday.

a) Trump told the nation we must return to teaching our youth about our nation's history, our constitution, what it means to be good and patriotic citizens (civics) and national values that define what it means to be an American

The PC nonsense and radical takeover of our schools must stop and the emphasis of education must not be controlled by what the New York Times believes is critical, ie.1619 agenda.

b) Attorney Gen. Barr expressed his views that Department Juniors must no longer become a dominant force in determining the policy directions of The Justice Department.

He also went a bit political in stating the 2020 election will determine whether we will arrest the existential threats to and our embrace of socialism.

He also warned about the increasing threats to our freedoms and civil rights.

c) The various  Pentagon Chiefs  discussed the increasing naval and nuclear threats/trends we face both from  Russia and China.

I have been writing about the naval threat from China for at least the last decade.  The Sec, of Defense suggested we remain light years ahead of Chinese naval capabilities  notwithstanding the fact that their ship numbers are accelerating past our own. I know, like Trump, he does not wish to alarm and seeks to praise our Navy but recent episodes suggest our Naval forces are under trained and over extended.

There is so much at stake and I doubt most voters comprehend the myriad of risks we face as technology moves at a fast pace and challenges beyond our ability to respond. These challenges are both external and internal.

We have so dumbed down our awareness and so politicized the debate that I am reminded of what Walt Kelly's Pogo said:  "The Enemy Is Us."

There are those who believe I am crying wolf.  Well I am because the wolf is out there approaching our door.

I had lunch Thursday with a dear friend and fellow memo reader and we discussed the fact our success and wealth has actually turned into a threat that has shielded us. In many ways  allowed/caused us to lose perspective of what we can and cannot afford because entitlements are not limitless. How we divide our wealth and what obligations are truly incontrovertible must be debated and perhaps re-oriented. Our prosperity has allowed us to become a dependent, complaining society .  Even those among or nation's lower socio economic levels enjoy more possessions and security than their counterparts throughout the world.

It is way past time we internalize and re-prioritize.

Several things that make Trump controversial:

a) Trump was elected to bring about change and that is unsettling when it impacts the entrenched who have had their way for years.

b) Trump kept his campaign commitments and sought to implement the changes he deemed necessary.

c) Trump , not being a politician, is willing to touch the third rail.

d) Trump is not orthodox, he is a counter puncher and does not fit the style of The Oval Office.

e) Trump is a businessman, goal oriented , has a hard charging personality and does not suffer fools.

f) Trump is a very complex person with many facets to his expansive personality and is overly sensitive to criticism. He also has a bias toward optimism and, as a former real estate developer, he proved very  creative.

g) Finally, Trump has been resisted, spied upon, vilified ,frequently unfairly, betrayed and treated in a most undignified/despicable/unworthy manner by the mass media and he refuses to lay down and take  it and for that I give him high marks.

Biden, on the other hand, is a total opposite. Biden can be manipulated, he shields his weakness by projecting toughness and he has some serious physical debilitations.

Why young people vote Democratic

This article was written by a college student.
Her name is Alyssa Ahlgren, who is in grad school for her MBA.
It's a short article, but definitely worth the read.

~ THE BLIND GENERATION ~
My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us!
We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty. One. Times. (31) Virtually, no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards.
Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful.
Our lack of appreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow.
Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation; "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity."
Never saw American prosperity!  Let that sink in.
When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth.
Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided. My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress.
Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity?
We have people who are dying to get into our country. People around the world destitute and truly impoverished.
Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, elect politicians dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.
Why?
The answer is this, my generation has only seen prosperity.  We have no contrast.  We didn't live in the Great Depression or Great Recession as adults; didn't live through two world wars, the Korean War, the Vietnam War or see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.  We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, color TV, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem.
We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem,  and it's spreading like a plague."

Wonderful perspective and a refreshing reality check!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Putin's heavy KGB hand could cost him an $8 Billion unused gas pipeline as Merkel's party associates lay their foot down and Trump may have won again leaving Germany no alternative but rely on more secure American Gas delivery. Another win-win.

I seriously doubt voters comprehend the significance of this because the mass media and Pelosi Democrats were quick to attack Trump for moving 10,000 American troops out of Germany.  Trump plays hard ball and makes NATO respect American sacrifice by putting America First.

Biden would not have the guts to do so and we know Obama was a pitiful bow and scraper type
