Australian Cousin's New Book. Making "Greenie's" Happy, Re-balancing America. We Know Joe, But Who Is Kamala? Missed Opportunity. Up Date on Hunter.

Our Australian "cousin" has just written an anti-PC book as follows:
The book title is THE CHEF WHO MADE ONIONS CRY and it is written under my pseudonym - CHILLI KIPPEN.

It is available through Barnes and Noble and all on line bookstores amazon:google:Apple

Several of our Landings friends, who have been to Australia, have been befriended by Elaine and Lionel. They are very gracious hosts and the family furniture store has been in Australia for over 100 years. Elaine wrote a biography about the store and founding family members.

And:

Being Jewish, I understand what it means to be discriminated against. That said, if America is going to put racial balance before competence then we will eventually become the most balanced defeated nation in the world. The world is not becoming less competitive and we are certainly not improving education by closing schools and refusing to upgrade curricula..

There are plenty of competent well qualified black people who can serve on boards (see first article below,) for instance and maybe Hollywood pictures meeting new Oscar Standards might prove entertaining (see link below.)

However, if we are going to avoid/eliminate  discrimination then all teams in both the national basketball and football leagues need to be re-balance and restaurants and fast food places need to fire a lot of menial workers and hire more menial ones who are not black as a start.

After all, if re-balancing is our ultimate goal, simply for statistical reasons as it seems to be, and that means firing people, that seems a fair price we should willingly pay so we can become a balanced nation.

Seems dumb and an "un-balanced" way to do things to me but you gotta do what you gotta do.I once  read a satiric essay by an English author entitled "The Burning of a Roast Pig."  The owner roasted the pig by burning down his house. Burning down America because BLM seems to be in vogue.

While I remain perched on my high cynical  horse let's look at The U.N.  The U.N is comprised of most every nation in the world yet,  none of these nations have the same anything, ie. different morals, and values, different economic and political systems blah, bah, blah. The founding concept was eventually we would embrace Wilkie's "One World" concept.  But whose "One World?"  Should America become like Venezuela and/or Russia as Bernie and Pocahontas would like or should China become like America which no one would like?

What purpose does the U.N serve?  Has it stopped wars, has it stopped torture, has it stopped dictators killing their own people?   Will it stop Iran from going nuclear? Has it stopped trafficking in pedophilia? What are the costly benefits we and/or the world derive from the U.N?  Certainly  poorer nations benefit because whatever they get is more than they had since they are way behind statistically in most living standard calculations. Has stuffing money in the pockets of  dictators in Africa really brought Africans a better life because the U.N exists?

If anyone has answers pro and/or con I invite them.

The only positive thing I can think of is New York would collect more needed parking ticket fines and the U.N. building could be turned into more high priced vacant  condos.

NY catering companies would suffer but think about all the canape ingredients that would not be used saving the lives of precious  ocean critters.  That should make "Greenies" happy.

Zillo, Next Door and Other Companies Pledge To Add Black Directors
Public and Private Firms join the Board Challenge, and effort to improve diversity in corporate boardrooms
By Anne Steele
A new group of U.S. companies is pledging to add a Black director to their boards within the next year in a bid to diversify and help accelerate more inclusion in corporate America.
Zillow Group Inc., ZG +0.36% Nextdoor.com Inc., HopSkipDrive Inc. and Heritage-Crystal Clean Inc. HCCI 0.52% are among public and private companies signing on to the Board Challenge, a pledge for boards to add a Black director within one year. In addition to those 17, more than 20 other companies with Black directors, including Nordstrom Inc., JWN -2.53% United Airlines Holdings Inc. UAL +0.86% and WW International Inc., WW +0.67% have joined the group and pledged to use their resources to accelerate diversity efforts.
The effort comes about a week after California lawmakers passed a bill that would require publicly traded companies based in the state to have at least one director from a minority community by the close of 2021.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, has until the end of September to sign or veto the bill. “We don’t typically comment on pending legislation,” the governor’s press office said after the bill passed. “If and when a bill reaches the governor’s desk, it is evaluated on its merits.”
If signed into law in California—which two years ago successfully mandated seats for women on corporate boards—the bill could prompt legislative efforts inland, Illinois and New York, have since enacted or are considering board-diversity legislation. other states, as well as legal challenges. About a dozen other states, including  Colorado, Maryland, Illinois and New York, have since enacted or are considering board-diversity legislation.
“I’m adding my voice and Zillow’s voice to this growing chorus to not be passive and to increase diverse representation at the highest level,” Zillow Chief Executive Rich Barton said.
A board seat opened up at the real-estate listings company in April, before George Floyd’s death in police custody in Minneapolis on May 25 touched off a racial reckoning in the U.S.
“Not to be lost is the increasing importance that Zillow plays in turning on the lights of fairness in the real-estate business, which has a long history of structural racism,” said Mr. Barton, who has promised to fill the position with a Black director. “It’s about increasing representation at the top to better reflect society.”
Executives say they hear from employees who want to see people from diverse backgrounds at the top to help encourage more people of color and those in the LGBTQ community to raise their hands for promotions and career advancement.
Facing claims from former employees of discrimination and pay inequity, Pinterest Inc. last month appointed veteran media executive Andrea Wishom as a director, adding a Black woman to its boardBristol-Myers Squibb Co., BMY -1.29% Procter & Gamble Co. PG -0.95% and Nvidia Corp. NVDA -3.30% also added Black directors to their boards this summer.
At the same time, the share of racially and ethnically diverse director placements, however, remained flat, at 23% for a third straight year, according to Heidrick & Struggles. Appointments of African-American board directors slipped to 10% in 2019, down from a high of 11% in the prior two years.
In all, about 66% of Fortune 500 company board members are white men and 18% are white women; 9% are Black men and women, according to Boardlist, a marketplace for diverse board talent in the technology sector. Boardlist is a founder of the Board Challenge, along with tech investment firm Altimeter Capital Management LP and Valence, a networking platform aiming to increase economic opportunity for Black professionals.
On race, “companies have been well-intentioned but not intentional,” Mr. Taylor said. That has changed in recent months, with more companies identifying racial diversity as a blind spot in their board membership, he said.

Boards tend to find new directors from a familiar pool: other company board members, CEOs and other C-level executives. Among directors appointed to Fortune 500 boards, 72% had previous public board experience, half were current or former CEOs, and more than 20% were current or former chief financial officers, according to Heidrick & Struggles.
“We’re saying broaden the aperture,” Mr. Taylor said. “Think about capability and competency and not title.” He is encouraging companies that are seeking diversity to look to people who have demonstrated leadership outside of corporate roles, including in government, the military, the nonprofit world or academia.
Quotas—especially when mandated like in the California legislation—are controversial, with critics saying they violate equal-protection provisions of the law. They could also lead to concerns among board candidates of color about tokenism. Companies looking to attract diverse talent need to define why diversity, and the perspective of a Black director, is important to them and then link that to their business strategy and measure outcomes over time, Mr. Taylor said.
“Candidates will ask,” he said. “They want to know, ‘What is it that I can bring to the board that’s important?’ ”.
WW Chief Executive Mindy Grossman, who signed her company on to the Board Challenge, said there is no lack of Black executive-level talent.
“We don’t have a pipeline problem. It’s about commitment and resolve,” she said.
WW, whose board already counts Black directors—including Oprah Winfrey—among its ranks, said it wants to help bring more Black voices to the table.
“Today more than ever people have to recognize that diversity is not a nice-to-have. It is a business imperative for future success,” Ms. Grossman said. “If you are not inclusive and diverse you will not attract that talent you need for the future or retain the talent you have and want to keep.

Oscar Eligibility Will Officially Be Based on Quotas, Skin Color of Actors and Crew
If producers want their film to be considered for an Oscar after 2024, it will have to meet “diversity” standards. This includes having a specific percentage...

And:

Who is Kamala?

One of them could become your president because you hate Trump.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Steve Baldwin Exposes Kamala Harris :

"I watched an interview with her.  She is attractive, animated and absurd.  She stated that she never had children; yet was a “Mother to her husband’s children.” And she “loved being a Mother.”  She said the children called her “Momela”.
Anyway, she led her audience to believe that she mothered these kids.  I looked her up.  She married her husband when the son was in his 3rd year of college and the daughter was in 10th grade and they actually lived with their biological Mother, except for normal visits with their father—so much for Motherhood.  Right after hearing that, I discovered she was an opportunistic liar
I do remember Kamala Harris. I had just been elected to the State Assembly in 1994 and, at that time, the ultimate “power broker” that controlled every aspect of California’s state government was the Speaker of the House, Willie Brown. He ran Sacramento like it was his own personal fiefdom and handed out jobs to loyalists and fired people who were disloyal. He broke every ethical law in the book, but was never held to account by anyone. He was married, but openly had mistresses which he showed off by bringing them to public events.
At the time I arrived in Sacramento, Willie was seeing a young girl who was in her late 20’s. He was in his 60’s. She was his mistress and he showered her with gifts and appointed her to a number of State government jobs. Her name was Kamala Harris. Willie launched her political career because she was having sex with him. The idea that she is an “independent” woman who worked her way up the political ladder because she worked hard is baloney. It is common knowledge in California that Kamala slept her way into powerful political jobs.
And now she is running for VP with a man who will be unable to govern due to his lack of mental clarity. In essence, she will function as the President of the United States should the Biden/Harris ticket prevail this November. Her views on guns, taxes, immigration, energy, etc. are far to the left of the average America, but you watch the media ignore these positions.
For example, she believes illegal aliens are eligible to ALL government services, including education, welfare benefits, health care, you name it. In other words, she does NOT believe there is a difference between a citizen and a non-citizen. That view alone will cost us billions of dollars if acted upon. Her view of the constitution is frankly bizarre and dangerous and she is willing to enact laws restricting our 2nd Amendment rights even if such laws violate our constitution.
She will be the most radical person to run for VP in American history, but you won’t see any of this on the news. You will soon witness a massive campaign by the media to deceive you about who she is and what she believes. Don’t fall for it."
Steve Baldwin, former Congressman, State of California

AND:

Kamala Harris: The Most Radical VP Nominee in History

by Newt Gingrich
Sen. Kamala Harris is the most radical person ever nominated for president or vice president by a major party. Because of Joe Biden’s frailty, her potential to become president is much greater than for most vice-presidential candidates.
Last month, Rasmussen Reports published a survey which indicted 59 percent of likely voters do not think Democratic Presidential Nominee Biden would finish his first term in office, if he is elected in November.
On Saturday, a supporter of President Donald Trump was killed by the left-wing activists. Apparent Antifa members there practically celebrated his murder.
Even nearly half (49 percent) of Democrats who were asked thought Biden would bow out before four years was up. This is a remarkable statistic and makes the 2020 election even more unique and important, because it means nearly half of Democrats believe they will actually be electing the vice-presidential candidate rather than the top of the ticket. Historically, voters do not heavily consider the vice-presidential candidate when voting, but in 2020, Biden’s clear weakness makes it essential to give Harris much more scrutiny than would normally be warranted.
Of course, the liberal media constantly tries to pitch Biden as a moderate Democrat who could appeal to more people in the middle of the country. No doubt, the media will try to do the same with Harris – although it would be much more difficult.
I don’t want you to take my word for it or count on my judgement. That is why on Newt’s World, I captured some of Harris’s more radical positions -- in her own words – so that Americans can hear directly from the senator how radical she is and keep that in mind as the November election approaches.
