Radical Muslim Appointments? Obama Priorities!

The 21 page government health care application illicits more information than the Gestapo sought from its victims. The Affordable Health Care Act, which was designed to save money, runs over 2000 pages and few members of Congress or The Senate read it before they voted and now after it has been voted on..

This is big government for you and this is what Obama has imposed on us so he and Big Brother can control out lives.

It was far too long to post so I posted a few sample pages:

I have nothing against Muslims advising presidents but when they are close to radical organizations that sort of should raise a red flag would you not think.?

These appointments by Obama have become increasingly  standard of late.

This is what Gabrielle warns about.  (See 1 below.)

Another fascinating and scholarly work that should be on interest:

The report is far too long to post but I am posting the conclusion and if you wish to read the entire report you can click on it.

In essence the report concludes Israel is not isolated.

Though that may be the case in terms of realpolitik the nation is surrounded by enemies who wish to destroy it for reasons that bear no relationship to rational dictates. Therefore, Israelis have every right to feel threatened in an emotional sense and if the threat is  military rather than isolation it remains a discomforting reality.

Academics can think in isolation and ivoried towers and come up with excellent reports that are based on sound research but living life under a potential mushroom cloud is a chilling fact of life for Israelis. (See 3 below.)

2)Intellectuals and Race: Part IV

Among the many irrational ideas about racial and ethnic groups that have polarized societies over the centuries and around the world, few have been more irrational and counterproductive than the current dogmas of multiculturalism.
Intellectuals who imagine that they are helping racial or ethnic groups that lag behind by redefining their lags out of existence with multicultural rhetoric are in fact leading them into a blind alley.
Multiculturalism is a tempting quick fix for groups that lag by simply pronouncing their cultures to be equal, or "equally valid," in some vague and lofty sense. Cultural features are just different, not better or worse, according to this dogma.
Yet the borrowing of particular features from other cultures -- such as Arabic numerals that replaced Roman numerals, even in Western cultures that derived from Rome -- implies that some features are not simply different but better, including numbers. Some of the most advanced cultures in history have borrowed from other cultures, because no given collection of human beings has created the best answers to all the questions of life.
Nevertheless, since multiculturalists see all cultures as equal or "equally valid," they see no justification for schools to insist that black children learn standard English, for example. Instead, each group is encouraged to cling to its own culture and to take pride in its own past glories, real or imaginary.
In other words, members of minority groups that lag educationally, economically or otherwise are to continue to behave in the future as they have in the past -- and, if they do not get the same outcomes as others, it is society's fault. That is the bottom line message of multiculturalism.
George Orwell once said that some ideas are so foolish that only an intellectual could believe them. Multiculturalism is one of those ideas. The intelligentsia burst into indignation or outrage at "gaps" or "disparities" in educational, economic or other outcomes -- and denounce any cultural explanation of these group differences as "blaming the victim."
There is no question that some races or whole nations have been victimized by others, any more than there is any question that cancers can cause death. But that is very different from saying that deaths can automatically be blamed on cancer. You might think that intellectuals could make that distinction. But many do not.
Yet intellectuals see themselves as friends, allies and defenders of racial minorities, even as they paint them into a corner of cultural stagnation. This allows the intelligentsia to flatter themselves that they are on the side of the angels against the forces of evil that are conspiring to keep minorities down.
When they cannot come up with hard evidence in any particular case to support this theory today, that just proves to the intelligentsia how fiendishly clever and covert these pervasive efforts to hold down minorities are.
Why people with high levels of mental skills and rhetorical talents would tie themselves into knots with such reasoning is a mystery. Perhaps it is just that they cannot give up a social vision that is so flattering to themselves, despite how detrimental it may be to the people they claim to be helping.
Multiculturalism, like the caste system, paints people into the corner where they happened to have been born. But at least the caste system does not claim to benefit those at the bottom.
Multiculturalism not only serves the ego interests of intellectuals, it serves the political interests of elected officials, who have every incentive to promote a sense of victimhood, and even paranoia, among groups whose votes they want, in exchange for both material and psychic support.
The multicultural vision of the world also serves the interests of those in the media, who thrive on moral melodramas. So do whole departments of ethnic "studies" in academia and a whole industry of "diversity" consultants, community organizers and miscellaneous other race hustlers.
The biggest losers in all this are those members of racial minorities who allow themselves to be led into the blind alley of resentment and rage, even when there are broad avenues of opportunity available. And we all lose when society is polarized.

3)

CONCLUSION
The Zionist revolution and the expectations of the emergence of a “New
Jew” and a “normal” nation generated the belief that Jews could be treated
like anybody else. Yet Israel, the Jewish state, is on many occasions still
singled out for a variety of reasons that have nothing to do with what the
Jews are doing.
However, the obsessive ant-iIsrael behavior of international
organizations and opinion
makers is not the only element
in Israel’s interactions with the world. A closer look at Israel’s interaction
with countries near and far, as well as with international institutions, belies
the claim that it is isolated. In fact, Israel is increasingly acknowledged as
a world player in view of its social, economic, technological, financial,
and diplomatic achievements over the past sixty-five years. Continued
high Jewish fertility rates, immense new energy reserves, innovative
water technologies, and a frenetic pace of cultural production are all
prominent features of modern Israel. There are significant parts of the
world that appreciate what Israel is doing and try to emulate its successes.
Israel’s struggles against its implacable opponents also touch many
responsive chords around the world. Moreover, even its use of force is
largely accepted as legitimate in the West as exemplified by the support
lent to Israel during the October 2012 “Pillar of Defense” operation in
Gaza against the Hamas.
But the bottom line is that realpolitik considerations dictate good relations
with the Jewish state in many parts of the globe. As long as Israel is an
American ally and the US plays a crucial role in world politics, the effects
of isolation can be cushioned. So far Israel has weathered many challenges
despite attempts to isolate it. As has been
shown here, its international status has
improved over the years. But its struggle
to gain legitimacy is not over, and it may never end, as long as there are
people that adhere to extremist ideologies, be they secular or religious.
Israel is a small state with only limited influence over shaping its
international status. International isolation could be dangerous as it
undermines relations with Western powers and the US in particular.
Israel’s foreign policy should therefore aim to nurture good relations
with the US, the leading global power for some time to come.
At the same time, Jerusalem should not give up the quest for capturing
the moral high-ground – a difficult task in world where hypocrisy is
widespread and political correctness inhibits telling the truth. Israel
must continue telling its story even when faced with great hostility from
numerous quarters. While there is no assurance of winning in the high
ground in the moral battlefield, an active public diplomacy couched in
a normative language is required. In recent years, Israel neglected the
normative discourse in its public diplomacy, trying to market itself only
as being a nice place. Israel might be able even to find allies to discredit
the UN, the world bastion of duplicity. Majorities are not always right.
The memory of Jews advocating the belief in one God when most of
the world practiced idolatry is useful in rejecting the tyranny of UN
automatic majorities.
In any case, Israel should not base its foreign policy on expectations for
rosy scenarios, but rather on realistic assumptions. The current upheaval
in the Arab world clearly indicates the need for
Israeli alertness to meet surprises and worst case scenarios. In the past, the Jewish people
twice lost their state (during the First and Second
Temple eras) because its political leadership failed to read correctly the
international power configuration and overestimated the power of the
Jewish state to withstand pressure. Prudence, the virtue of the realist
outlook on international affairs, should therefore guide Israel.
Realpolitik considerations dictate good relations with Israel

4 )President Obama's Visit to Israel: U.S. Policy Priorities

Next week, President Obama will make his first visit to Israel as president. The bonds that exist between Jerusalem and Washington are built upon mutual strategic interests and a solid foundation of shared cultural and political values. At the same time, both countries face common threats where cooperation and sharing in defense technologies have clearly been of great benefit to both.
Israel is the only ally in the region whose interests are closely aligned with those of the United States. A strong and secure Israel is an essential element of national security strategy upon which American military planners can rely. Israel is a great resource for the United States in its own right and can help America to better understand regional trends as well as influence outcomes that would support U.S. regional interests.
Given the high levels of instability and uncertainty in the region at this time, we urge President Obama to make it clear to both our allies and adversaries that:
American policy is to prevent Iran from possessing nuclear weapons capability and not to depend on containing it if it does so. Only with the heaviest possible pressure and with a united American-Israeli front can there be a reasonable chance to slow Iran's march toward developing a nuclear weapon. All strategies, such as engagement, sanctions, covert operations, regime change, and the credible threat of military attack must be implemented simultaneously. Taking military action off the table undermines all other options short of war.
  • If President Obama must encourage resumption of talks between the Palestinian Authority and Israel, the two parties should meet without preconditions. He must reject the notion that the burden for reaching any agreement should fall disproportionately on Israel. As long as Israel's neighbors continue to believe that the Jewish presence in the Middle East is only temporary and that time is on their side, they will continue to condone violence and terror to achieve their goals.
  • Israel is rightly concerned about the possible transfer of advanced or nonconventional weapons to Islamist militant groups in the region. Failure to prevent such weapons transfers today is likely to have serious negative consequences in the future for our own country, for Israel, and for our friends in the Middle East. As a measure supportive of both American and Israeli interests, President Obama must voice support for Israeli preemptive operations that deny our mutual enemies lethal capabilities.
  • The United States will continue ensuring that Israel has the defensive and offensive capabilities needed to deter and fight its enemies. Preserving Israel's Qualitative Military Edge (QME) is of utmost importance to the fulfillment of our shared goals.
  • The United States will continue to work with Israel and our regional friends to identify and support new strategic partnerships, while continuing to buttress traditional friends in need of our backing. Jordan remains a key ally for both the United States and Israel. In light of the challenges now facing the monarchy, Jordan's stability should be a priority objective.
  • President Obama should make clear that the United States regards Egyptian fulfillment of the terms of the peace treaty with Israel, preservation of unfettered passage of international shipping through the Suez Canal, prevention of smuggling across Egyptian borders, securement of the Sinai Peninsula, and zero tolerance for the presence of terrorist organizations on Egyptian soil to be necessary and would view violations with grave concern.
American leadership is critical for the stability of the Middle East. Withdrawal from the region will undermine U.S. interests in regional stability, interests that are currently being threatened by the ongoing upheavals in the Middle East and Africa. We urge President Obama to make it clear that the United States will remain firmly connected to the region and its closest ally, Israel.
