Last night, to the extent I listened, SOTU was a pack of lies wrapped in a soporific Uncle Sincerity Type delivery. Biden blew an opportunity to heal and instead came across as a heel. He is not a nice person.
If you are incapable of reasoning then you had to be persuaded but if you are capable of thinking independently you had to be disgusted.
+++
Biden just spent last night LYING to you and working class patriots everywhere about the state of our nation.
The Chinese are brazenly flying spy balloons over our country
The border remains open and the wall remains unfinished.
Illegal border crossings are at an all time high and Fentanyl is pouring into our country by the metric ton.
Inflation is skyrocketing and people are struggling to feed their families.
Having sat three feet away as Biden spouted his lies, I am more motivated than ever to STOP Biden’s agenda and I’m not waiting a minute longer to start and neither should you.
Right now, the liberal media is spinning this speech as a major success for Joe and the Democrats and they will raise MILLIONS before the day is over so they can continue running this country into the ground.
As Speaker of the House, I am standing against Joe Biden and the Democrats but I can’t do this alone. If yesterday's speech sickened you like it sickened me, I need you stand with me to save our great nation.
Thank you,
Kevin McCarthy

Finally:
Opinion Biden’s boasts of bipartisanship couldn’t be further from the truth
By Marc A. Thiessen
In his State of the Union address, President Biden made numerous dubious claims — but none was more brazen and outlandish than his claim to have delivered on his promise to reach across the aisle and unite the county.
“The people sent us a clear message,” Biden declared. “Fighting for the sake of fighting, power for the sake of power, conflict for the sake of conflict, gets us nowhere. That’s always been my vision for the country: … to restore the soul of the nation … to unite the country. We’ve been sent here to finish the job.”
Finish the job? Days before his address, a Fox News poll found 81 percent of Americans see our country as “a dysfunctional family that’s breaking apart” — up 10 points from two years ago when Biden took office. And 50 percent say Biden has made our political divisions worse, while only 19 percent think he is making things better, according to a new CBS poll.
Americans have not forgotten how, one year ago this month, Biden delivered one of the most venomous speeches in modern presidential history — comparing Republicans who opposed his partisan election law to racists and traitors, and accusing them of standing with George Wallace, Bull Connor and Jefferson Davis. He implied that people who opposed the law were “enemies” of the United States, thundering, “I will defend the right to vote, our democracy against all enemies — foreign and, yes, domestic.”
They have not forgotten how Biden smeared the 74 million Americans who disagree with his policies and voted for his opponent as “semi-fascist” and “a threat to this country.”
But the biggest whopper in his State of the Union address was his claim to have presided over a golden age of bipartisan cooperation. “To my Republican friends, if we could work together in the last Congress, there is no reason we can’t work together in this new Congress,” Biden said — as if he had spent the past two years reaching across the aisle and forging consensus.
What world is he living in? Until Biden came along, every covid relief bill was approved with overwhelming bipartisan support in both chambers — including five under Donald Trump. But Biden rejected an offer from 10 Republican senators, led by Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), who gave him a path to a filibuster-proof majority for a bipartisan bill — and instead passed a massive $1.9 trillion in social spending disguised as covid relief (which helped unleash inflation and extreme labor shortages) with Democratic votes alone. He took something that had been bipartisan under Trump and made it partisan.
He followed that up with a massive climate spending bill — disguised as the Inflation Reduction Act — also passed with Democratic votes. He then bypassed Congress entirely and ordered the cancellation of up to $1 trillion in student loans by executive fiat — an unconstitutional run around Congress.
In his address, Biden said he signed over 300 pieces of bipartisan legislation. Please. In his first two years, Trump signed 442 laws, almost all of them bipartisan as well. Did he unite the country? Most of those were ceremonial or uncontroversial — just like most of the laws Biden signed.
Indeed, Biden threatened to veto his one truly major bipartisan achievement — his infrastructure bill — after the Senate passed it, and then went to Capitol Hill and urged House members of his own party to take it hostage as leverage to pass his Democrats-only “Build Back Better” plan. It eventually passed despite his partisan machinations. The bipartisan gun legislation he claimed credit for also happened despite him. Sen. Chris Murphy (Conn.), the chief Democratic sponsor, told him to stay out of the negotiations and let senators “do this ourselves.”
Not only that, Biden launched false partisan attacks from the rostrum of the House Tuesday night — accusing Republicans of wanting to “sunset” Medicare and Social Security, citing a plan by Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) that virtually no other Republican has endorsed. It is a claim he’s made before that got him “Three — nearly Four — Pinocchios” from The Post’s Fact Checker. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) has taken Social Security and Medicare off the table in debt limit negotiations, and Biden knows it. When Republicans on the floor booed and objected, Biden said: “So we all apparently agree: Social Security and Medicare are off the books now. We got unanimity!” Wow, another great bipartisan achievement — delivered in real time.
The chutzpah is stunning. But it’s not likely to have much of an impact. Americans believe Biden’s presidency is a failure. Forty-one percent say they are financially worse off than they were before Biden took office — the most negative response to that question in nearly 40 years, according to a new Post/ABC News poll — while 62 percent think he has accomplished “not very much” or “little or nothing” during his presidency, and say they would be “dissatisfied” or “angry” if Biden were reelected in 2024.
Biden didn’t just fail to unite the country; he actively sought to divide us. In his inaugural address, he promised to “end this uncivil war” and put “my whole soul” into “bringing America together.” For two years, in both rhetoric and action, he has done the opposite.

Romney sends a cogent message why he believes we should support Ukraine. It is in our national interest to spend on defense and wars spread.

Mitt Romney Issues Virtue-Signaling Message About Ukraine
(FiveNation.com)- Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), a former Republican presidential contender, claimed that the U.S. is motivated by both moral and national security imperatives to support Ukraine.
Romney thoroughly explained the United States’ ongoing military assistance to Ukraine in its defense against Russian soldiers invading the country in a video posted on Twitter on Thursday.
The senator outlined his points of contention. In conclusion, the Republican stated, “if you don’t believe that we should be spending on Ukraine, then you probably should say we shouldn’t be spending on national defense — and that makes no sense at all.”
Romney said he “sometimes” gets asked why we are helping Ukraine, why we are paying their military, and why our military is supporting some of the equipment we are delivering to Ukraine.
He said it’s because we care about human life and the suffering occurring in Ukraine, so of course, he starts with that “humanitarian reality.”
Romney answered why this is of interest and to the advantage of Americans.
He said that if the globe is at peace, we have greater opportunities for employment, money, and future possibilities. Things aren’t good for us and the people across the globe if there is strife in the world. But since fighting lowers our standard of living, we benefit more from global peace.
Romney said that we’ve learned from tragic experience that when one nation starts to believe it can invade and conquer another, it eventually spreads and includes us, and we end up being under assault ourselves. One of the lessons of history is that violence spreads across the globe and eventually reaches our borders.
He went on to explain that Russia is a country that is a geopolitical rival, and we should be interested in what is happening there. Russia is an enemy of ours, but we are not at war with them, but they are aiming 1500 nuclear weapons at us. By aiding Ukraine, we are wearing down and weakening the Russian military. Therefore, this is advantageous for our country’s security.
Romney concluded by saying we could just take all that money and use it to buy ourselves things here. However, we invest in national defense because we are aware that doing so increases the likelihood that it will be secure and wealthy and that our lives will be spared.
His message required connecting dots and sounded like he was shoveling it on a bit thick with the humanitarian angle.
Romney’s claim contradicts numerous hard-righters who have promised to cut off Ukraine’s military funding and charged that country with corruption and embezzling American cash.

In very instance Khrushchev is proving omniscient.
+++
A sobering reminder. It's been almost sixty-three years since Russia's Khrushchev delivered this. Many of you may not remember his quote or even were alive when Mr. Khrushchev of the Soviet Union made his remarks to President John F. Kennedy.
Do you remember September 29, 1959 ?
THIS WAS HIS ENTIRE QUOTE:
"Your children's children will live under communism.
You Americans are so gullible.
No, you won't accept communism outright; but we will keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you will finally wake up and find you already have Communism.
We will not have to fight you; We will so weaken your economy, until you will fall like overripe fruit into our hands."
"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."
Remember, socialism leads to Communism.
So, how do you create a Socialistic State?
There are 8 levels of control; read the following recipe:
1) Healthcare - Control healthcare and you control the people.
2) Poverty - Increase the poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them.
3) Debt - Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes and this will produce more poverty.
4) Gun Control - Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government that way you are able to create a police state.
5) Welfare - Take control of every aspect (food, housing, income) of their lives because that will make them fully dependent on the government.
6) Education - Take control of what people read and listen to and take control of what children learn in school.
7) Religion - Remove the belief in God from the Government and schools because the people need to believe in ONLY the government knowing what is best for the people.
8) Class Warfare - Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. Eliminate the middle class. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to tax the wealthy with the support of the poor. A perfect parallel to the Democrat agenda!!!!!
I remember this very well. He also said, "We will bury you".

JONATHAN S. TOBIN-OPINION
The anti-Bibi resistance wants Americans to thwart Israeli democracy
Some well-known writers and publications aren’t just gaslighting the world about judicial reform. They’re also playing into the hands of their country’s foes.
(February 7, 2023 / JNS) From the first day of Israel’s existence as an independent state, its political life has been a vicious, zero-sum game, with its major players consistently seeking to delegitimize one another. When you consider that the great rivalry between two of the country’s iconic founding fathers, David Ben Gurion and Menachem Begin, included incidents of attempted murder (such as in the Altalena affair) and a mob to attack on the Knesset (surrounding the debate over accepting reparations from Germany), the current efforts by the left-wing opposition to topple the government of Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu through any means possible don’t seem that awful.

A far more favorable scenario regarding America versus China should a confrontation occur. Interesting take on the issue.

Retired US Army, Military Intellgence, Always Out Front
Will the USA have a chance of winning if it goes to war against China in the South China Sea?
Answer (1 of 42): Honestly, the answer depends on the objectives and policies the nations would be fighting over...
This is the problem when a regional power faces off with a global power. So many people seem to think the US will sail into the South China sea in defense of Taiwan or Japan or whatever nation China attacked that would draw the US into a war. The US has much better options when dealing with a hostile China.
China has a massive weakness, It is a regional power that that depends on global trade for survival. The US can cut off China’s oil supply with a task force in the Straight of Hormuz. Or US allies could also take this task. China’s fleet is designed to operate under protection of its land bases, otherwise becomes to vulnerable, The US and it allies could simply cut off China’s oil and trade, thousands of miles out of reach of anything China could do and wait.
The other thing that should be noted is that the United States and its military is the only one in the world that down plays it abilities. In fact the closer you get budget time the more the claims of helplessness will come from the military. It hides its newest and best, it down plays its abilities so it always gets more money. The rest of the world makes bold claims, shows off systems that barely exist and exaggerates its capabilities.
And China knows this and thus it will not attacking anybody until it finds a way to change this imbalance.

CEO of Biggest PE firm predicts "social unrest"
To Me:
I don't know if you've seen this or not yet...
But Stephen Schwarzman, the CEO of Blackstone (America's biggest private equity firm), recently went public on CNN predicting America is about to see serious "social unrest".
(To see why click here.)
Schwarzman said: "You're going to get very unhappy people around the world... What happens then, is you've got real unrest. This challenges the political system..."
Bill Bonner, an ultra-wealthy entrepreneur who started what is probably America's biggest financial research firm more than 40 years ago, agrees...
Bonner says:
"We are about to enter a very strange period of time in America...
What I see on the horizon could be the worst U.S. crisis ever... which could likely be followed by riots and ultimately some form of revolution."
What has these two super-successful and wealthy men so concerned?
Well, Bill Bonner recently went public with a full explanation, from one of his three European properties... overlooking the Blackwater River.
Over the past 50 years, Bonner has made three macro-economic predictions... all of which came true.
And today, from his 60-acre property, he's issuing what he calls his: "4th and Final Warning."
Bonner adds:
"I believe it falls on someone like me to warn people... clearly... and without distraction...
I can do this now because I'm too rich to care about money... and too old to care about what anyone says about me."
Learn how to protect yourself (Bonner explains his 4 recommended steps), and get a peek inside one of his spectacular properties.
We've posted Bonner's full analysis and footage of his property on our website. You can view it free of charge,

Iran displays ballistic missile with ‘Death to Israel’ written in Hebrew
Revolutionary Guards showcase apparent projectile at weapons exhibition in Isfahan, days after an attack on military site in the city blamed on Israel

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps on Wednesday displayed an apparent ballistic missile with the words “Death to Israel” emblazoned in Hebrew down the side, at an exhibition in the central city of Isfahan.
Pictures posted by the Tasnim news agency show what appears to be a surface-to-surface missile in a launcher with elaborate Hebrew script running down its side.
It was not clear if it was an actual missile or a mockup.
The display comes days after a significant drone attack on a key Iranian defense facility in the same city. The site hit in the strike was reportedly a weapons production facility for Iran’s killer Shahed-136 drones.
The attack was one of a number widely attributed to Israel, which has a policy of not commenting on such operations.
Iran officially blamed Israel for the strike, filing a complaint with the United Nations Security Council about the “terrorist attack” launched by the Jewish state and saying it reserves its “legitimate and inherent right” to retaliate.
Following the publication of the pictures of the missile, a senior Foreign Ministry official told the Ynet news site that “the message is very clear — if anyone had any doubts.”

Iran has repeatedly vowed to “wipe Israel off the map” and Israel considers Tehran’s nuclear program an existential threat.
While Iranian nuclear weapons are Israel’s main concern, Jerusalem has also said that its ballistic weapons program also poses a major danger and has pushed the international community to include restrictions on the program in any future nuclear accord.
The IRGC display also featured several Iranian missiles, drones and warheads, and was open to the public.
It also comes a day after Iran unveiled what it said was its first underground air force base, with the head of the Islamic Republic’s military saying the site would be among those used to launch a response to any potential strikes by Israel or others.
“Any attack on Iran from our enemies, including Israel, will see a response from our many air force bases including Eagle 44,” Iran’s armed forces’ Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri told IRNA, according to the Reuters news agency.
IRNA said the Eagle 44 site was one of Iran’s most important military facilities and would be home to fighter jets equipped with long-range cruise missiles.
Pilots pose with an aircraft at a new underground Iranian air force base in this picture released February 7, 2023 (Iranian Army)
The location of the base was not disclosed as part of attempts by Iran to put key military and nuclear facilities out of the way of potential strikes.
Israel is suspected of launching a series of attacks on Iran, including an assault on its underground Natanz nuclear facility that damaged its centrifuges.
Last year Iran’s army unveiled details about an underground base in the Zagros mountain range, where it said some 100 drones were stored. Iran has also shown off similar tunnels in the past, which serve as storage areas for missiles and drones.

Sen. John Fetterman Hospitalized After Reportedly Feeling Lightheaded
Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman was hospitalized Wednesday after feeling lightheaded at a Senate retreat, according to an official statement from his communications director.
Fetterman, who suffered a “near fatal stroke” while campaigning in 2022, was taken to George Washington University hospital in Washington, D.C., by his staff, where initial tests showed no evidence of a new stroke, communications director Joe Calvello stated, according to The Associated Press. Doctors kept Fetterman overnight for observation and to run a few more tests.
Fetterman appeared to be in good spirits and was talking with staff and family, Cavello reportedly added, promising to release more information “when [they] have it.”
