SUNDAY, Trey Gowdy began his program with one of the most outstanding comments about the fact that the mass media has accomplished something that even COVID was unable to do. It has accomplished validating why Americans no longer trust the mass media. The mass media no longer serves as America's ombudsman. The media is unfair and this breeds more unfairness and that is dangerous. He also pointed out it no long speaks truth to the powerful but now supports the powerful.
He was followed by Ari Fleischer who pointed out only one segment in our society, outside of liberal Democrats, believes the mass media understand them and they are liberal college students.
Gowdy, said if you are religious the mass media does not understand you and may even have contempt for you and on and on he went naming large swaths of our society that the mass media has no understanding of nor has any relevance.
When he talked about the need for a court to ride heard on the mass media, I was shocked because several days ago I posted a future memo proposing several solutions and one was we now need an independent court to be in a position to force the media to be balanced and fair in reporting news, not editorial opinions, simply straight news.

A British General I have immense respect for is Richard Kemp (ret.) He directed British Troops in Afghanistan and is unique because he is very forthright about his thinking and expressing himself when it comes to Israel.
During Israel's assault on Gaza Kemp appeared on television disputing allegations that Israel was engaged in war crimes. It was not clear however what was the basis of his claims since he had no more access to Gaza in this period than did the world media except Al Jazeera. In June 2009, Kemp wrote a document entitled "Hamas, The Gaza War, and Accountability under International Law" for the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs in which he claimed that Hamas discarded their uniform once fighting began and deployed women and children as suicide attackers. He also claimed that in Gaza "women and children are trained and equipped to fight, collect intelligence and ferry arms and ammunition between battles".[5]
In October 2009, Kemp also made a presentation to the UN Human Rights Council on behalf of UN Watch in response to the Goldstone Report[6] which documents Israeli war crimes committed during its assault on Gaza[7] Kemp concluded by saying that from his "knowledge of the IDF and from the extent to which I have been following the current operation, I don’t think there has ever been a time in the history of warfare when any army has made more efforts to reduce civilian casualties and deaths of innocent people than the IDF is doing today in Gaza".[7] [8]

Kemp believes, with appropriate help, Israel can severely degrade Iran's nuclear capabilities but will sustain serious destruction because of the several hundred thousand missies that will head their way from Hamas and Hezbollah.
It is incumbent upon Israel to not wait much longer.

That's why the "transgender community" is "offended" by a video about -- a "transgender man" who claims to be a women and can certainly produce sperm and impregnate his "transgender wife who claims to be a man -- This gets very confusing. And this what progressives want to discuss in grade school!

We are more likely to fall from within as long as we allow those within to attack our previously stable society. The attacks might be orchestrated externally by our adversaries, but they are being executed by radicals and miscreants within our society who want power to control and alter our republic.
What America needs today is the equivalent of Judah Maccabee and not our pitifully weak Joe Biden who is the laughing stock of the world as is our equally pitiful Vice President/.
When America is incapable of leading, basically the Western World stands stymied and our adversaries feel freer to move forward.
You can fault Trump for his narcissistic personality but he kept our adversaries confused and one has every right to assume Putin may not have ventured into Ukraine.
Iran feels emboldened and this is why Israel will have no recourse but to attack. The world will come down hard on Israel, few will come to their aid if any. That is the scenario I expect will play itself out in due course.
The West is failing Ukraine as I type and that is what Israel's leaders have to take into their own calculations.

Putting ‘Woke’ to Sleep: Jenkins Cleaning up San Francisco
From sacking 60% of her predecessor’s so-called prosecutors to actually arresting drug offenders, new San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins is busy righting the ship.
The uber-liberal electorate had enough of progressive madness and yanked the radical Chesa Boudin out of office in a recall. The new DA said she is also progressive, but compared to her predecessor’s leniency, Jenkins is the reincarnation of J. Edgar Hoover.
The San Francisco Gate news organization reports the DA’s office has filed more charges for drug paraphernalia in her first two weeks than were filed in the city in 11 years. And amazingly, it is not reported in a positive light.
The newspaper notes that nine cases since the start of 2011 were “standalones,” meaning the suspect did not also face charges of narcotics possession, burglary, etc. The report further said that eight of the nine may have been mislabeled, shrinking that grand total to one.
In under two weeks, there have now been 17 standalone charges filed through the DA’s office. The public defender’s office has already denounced the mild crackdown, calling it “unprecedented.”
Is there even the slightest question why the Bay Area became a drug-infested House of Horrors? As many long-time residents noted, the city descended into chaos as both victims and perpetrators could no longer expect justice.
In 2021, San Francisco averaged 53 accidental drug overdose deaths per month and finished the year with 640 total. Was there justice meted out to the pushers and dealers of these deadly substances? Hardly.
There were three convictions for cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine dealing in the city for all of last year. Three. As for fentanyl, which was responsible for as many as 500 of the city’s accidental drug overdose fatalities, not one person was convicted for being a dealer. Zero.
So what did the city do under Boudin? Dealers were mandated to take drug awareness classes.
Never mind that dealers rarely consume what they sell and are still more aware of drugs than virtually anyone. This was the progressive solution to hundreds of preventable deaths.
Jenkins has a long way to go to clean up the mess she inherited. But having the gumption to actually arrest people for committing crimes is a change, and for San Francisco and many other urban areas living under the progressive nightmare, at least it’s a beginning.
