Third shooting victim dies in hospital

Ichilov Hospital has announced the death of Barak Lufan, 35, after he was wounded in the shooting attack in Tel Aviv. He was married to Dana and the father of three children. Barak grew up in Kibbutz Ginosar and lived in Givat Shmuel at the time of the attack. Despite the best efforts of the hospital’s intensive care unit, he was recently declared dead of his wounds.

Barak’s family commented:

Our beloved Barak,
Grandson of the founders of Kibbutz Ginosar
Exemplary husband and father.
Athlete in every limb, member of the Olympic staff in the field of kayaks and educator of the future generation in the field.
Left us prematurely,
We are shocked, hurt and love him dearly.

‘Our War is With the Jews,’ Admits Palestinian Leader’s Party
By Palestinian Media Watch

In its own words, Mahmoud Abbas’ party states that its “war” is with “Jews,” exposing the vicious, genocidal underbelly of Israel’s so-called “peace partner.”

Three weeks before the B’nei Brak attack, and other attacks in which a total of 11 people were murdered in one week, an official in Abbas’ Fatah Movement called on Palestinians to continue terror – and to use 15-year-olds:

“When you see a 15-year-old Palestinian child carrying a rock or another tool or a knife, know that this cause continues in the blood of our people and that it is inherited,” said Fatah Revolutionary Council member Abd Al-Ilah Atteereh on PA tTV

He also called for terror, using the PA’s euphemism “struggle with all means.”

Those terrorists who answered Fatah’s call have been honored by Fatah. The Palestinian terrorist who murdered 5 people in B’nei Brak near Tel Aviv last week was “heroic” if you ask Fatah. Accusing Israel of killing three other terrorists as an act of revenge, Fatah’s Secretary in the Jenin Branch, Ata Abu Rmeileh, called the murderer a hero, thus proving Abbas’ condemnation of the attack insincere, as pointed out by Palestinian Media Watch (PMW).

Two days before the murderous attack, the same Fatah official stated, “Our war is with the Jews.”

Abbas’s Fatah also used its willing tool, Facebook, to glorify the murderer of 5 as the Movement’s “hero” – a “Martyr” who “ascended to Heaven.”

As PMW has shown, for months the PA has been calling on Palestinians to “increase the popular resistance” – another euphemism for terror. The day after the murder of 5 in B’nei Brak, two additional Fatah officials repeated the call for terror.

Even a  scuzzy politician like Romneyn has the right to change his mind:

Mitt Romney Says He Enjoyed Meeting With Biden’s SCOTUS Pick

(FreedomBeacon.com)- In a move that shocked absolutely nobody, on Monday, Utah’s freshman RINO Senator Mitt Romney announced that he would be voting to confirm President Biden’s radical left Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Romney, who met with Jackson last week, released a statement describing her as “a well-qualified jurist and a person of honor.”

During their Tuesday meeting last week, Romney said he enjoyed their time together and he praised Jackson’s “dedication to public service.”

Oddly enough, last year when President Biden nominated Ketanji Brown Jackson to her current seat on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, Romney voted against her confirmation.

So the same judge whom Romney didn’t think was confirmation material for the lower court suddenly transformed into a “well-qualified jurist” now that she’s poised for a lifetime appointment on the highest court?

How’d that happen?

In his statement on Monday, Romney admitted that he didn’t expect to agree with Jackson’s every decision on the Supreme Court, but he believed that she “more than meets the standard of excellence and integrity.”

But not for the DC Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mitt Romney isn’t the only RINO Republican who has announced his support for Jackson. Monday, Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski also announced that she would vote for Jackson’s confirmation as well.

In announcing her decision, Murkowski said Jackson would bring to the Court “a range of experience from the courtroom that few can match given her background in litigation.”

Murkowski claimed her decision to support Jackson was a rejection of the “corrosive politicization of the review process for Supreme Court nominees” which she blamed on both parties.

Romney and Murkowski now join Maine Republican Susan Collins who last week announced she supported Jackson’s nomination.

This gives Ketanji Brown Jackson 53 votes in the Senate, clearing the way for her to become the next Supreme Court Justice.

Dispatches from the middle of somewhere
By Salena Zito

In my estimation, there is no patch of geography in this country that is the "middle of nowhere." This is America; everywhere is the middle of somewhere.

As most true heroes will tell you, if you can get them to talk about themselves, they are drawn to running toward the fire rather than away from it — not because they possess extraordinary courage or remarkable strength but because of deep sense of purpose.

One week ago, a handful of strangers that included Vlad Finn, Tyler Merritt, and a small group of U.S. veterans volunteering with the Aerial Recovery Group walked across the border of Poland into Ukraine at the exact moment the sirens were blaring for the nightly curfew.

They had 72 hours to complete their mission of rescuing as many of the country's orphans as they could in areas under attack and bringing them to safety.

“More than 400 orphans have been rescued so far,” said Merritt, a retired member of the Army’s elite 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment who is working with ARG, a team of battle-tested U.S. veterans. The United Nations Children's Fund has reported that over 1 million children have escaped from Ukraine since Russia began the war a month ago. The deepest concern was that these children would be abducted, leading to child trafficking, exploitation, or death.

Merritt is the kind of guy always driven by purpose. He founded his company, Nine Line, which makes patriotic and military supportive clothing and gear in part to employ area veterans in Savannah, Georgia. When his friend Scooter Brown said he was in the process of adopting a child in Ukraine when the war started, and consequently found out there were a lot of children in peril there, Merritt got involved.

Merritt arrived in Poland where he met up with several veteran volunteers from ARG, along with Finn, who is also driven by a higher purpose, albeit different than that of Merritt. While Merritt is a tactical warrior, Finn said he has a personal connection to the orphans in Ukraine — because not that long ago, he was one of them.
